Guests with specific requirements do not instant book. There can be questions back and forth regarding these requirements and so yes, the guests do have to wait for owners to get back to them. Guests can spend hours searching for a holiday rental, with inappropriate properties being presented to them on sites. It's a waste of time. Why not ask guests for exactly what they want, and give them a manageable selection of perfect properties to choose from? In one search on an OTA, it showed 17 pages of properties, some not what, or where, was requested! What a headache! Not all guests want instant booking, because of the time taken to find that property to instant book in the first place. There is no searching involved on Have You Got. No wasted time.

If a guest needs a walk-in shower in a ground floor bathroom for their elderly parents, that guest is going to have to ask that question and wait for an answer. No site offers that as a filter. Or perhaps they need secure parking for 2 cars? Is it an extra cost? Or perhaps they are staying a month, and are asking if you offer cleaning during the stay? It is a better investment of your time to fill in an Alert and wait for the perfect properties to come to you, than to set a couple of filters, search through the pages and pages of properties offered on each website, sift through each property for the specific things you may need, possibly email the owner and wait for responses.

Have You Got is very detailed in what it asks. These are just a few of the features the guest can ask for. The property search is also detailed and, for example, can be narrowed down to a 500m radius from a specific address. The idea is to ask for exactly what guests want, and to give them exactly what they want. And instead of trawling through pages and pages, guests may end up choosing from a handful of perfect properties, all on their own dashboard. No searching headache!

The idea is that yes, guests fill in their details and they don't have to do anything more. The properties come to them, in real time (as they are answered). The Alert is live for 24 hours. No more responses after that. They can cancel the Alert at any time, or send another one out to the network.
