The Honeymoon Cottage
Entire home in Christiansted, US Virgin Islands
The space
The sun rises, white and majestic, out of the water that frames The Honeymoon Cottage on all three sides; it sets over the western hills, glowing orange and equally visible from the porch. A small dipping pool offers the serenity that the active waters below do not, and though the cottage enjoys relative isolation from the rest of the world, it is but a short drive from calmer, more traditionally tropical beaches. Cozy and studio-esque, the space itself is comfortably furnished and modern, built in 2010. High ceilings and vast windows belie the efficient space and welcome the cooling, salty, fresh ocean breeze. One and a half bathrooms and a gloriously comfortable queen bed, plus air conditioning, a fully equipped and sized kitchen, television, WiFi, and even the added security of a locked gate are all part of the total amenity package at The Honeymoon Cottage.Total seclusion and utmost privacy are without a doubt among the shining qualities of The Honeymoon Cottage, though come in a distant second place to the spectacular 270-degree ocean view that the peninsula offers. When ready to venture out, one must only drive a few minutes to arrive at some of the best East End attractions like equally secluded Jack & Isaac’s stunning white sand beach or the entertainment-rich Divi Resort and Casino. Fine dining at the Galleon or Duggan’s Reef is not much further, and historic downtown Christiansted is just past the famous Buccaneer golf course a mere 20 minutes from the cottage. Past vacationers have called The Honeymoon Cottage an “idyllic spot,” saying that it offers “all the privacy you could ever want.”
St. Croix offers three fairly drastically different environments, starting with the rocky East End which houses this cottage. Transitioning toward Christiansted to an archetypical tropical moderate mid-island with blooming flowered trees and plenty of iguanas, the island hustles-and-bustles with shopping, dining, and excursions like sailing trips and off-road exploring. On the west, a near-rainforest blossoms into rich, damp, utterly green life until it again opens to picturesque beaches and the types of sunsets that change lives.
Seclusion suits the vacation-minded, and The Honeymoon Cottage offers it in abundance on its rocky peninsula. Book an idyllic respite today, and sleep soundly, knowing the only reason to get out of bed early is to witness the majesty of a white hot sun rising from beneath the watery ends of the earth.
The Honeymoon Cottage creates a romantic ambiance for you and your loved one. Create lasting memories while you soak up the St. Croix sunshine.
We look forward to hosting you!

If you are looking for incredible scenery and isolation this place is for you! Winds and waves are breathtaking and the home was very clean and well maintained. The wind is difficult to handle at times and there is no shelter from the sun on the back patio but sunrises and sunsets are spectacular and worth fighting the winds to see such beauty!

What a beautiful place to come to for our honeymoon. We will be back! Very secluded and a great landing spot for hikes if you are into that sort of thing. Really enjoyed our time here

We loved our stay at the cottage and would definitely go back! It is one of the most unique properties we have stayed in, so special. We had everything we needed inside, very Caribbean comfortable. We didn’t use the porch/dipping pool as much as we hoped, because it was so windy when we were there, but it was very nice. I really loved the location, a very pretty part of the island—remote, but still accessible to good restaurants, hiking, beaches etc. Rent a jeep! We enjoyed walking around the property and across the rocky beach to the small sandy beach, so gorgeous! The only two suggestions I have are to maybe have a bit more vegetation around the property to cover up some of the pipes/wires/old structures (might not be possible with the elements though) and create a walk in shower from the tub just for ease of getting in and out. Regardless, LOVED it and thank you for a great stay!

Very unique property perfect for a quiet getaway to St. Croix. We had a wonderful time staying at Point Elizabeth. We met locals on the other side of the island that knew about this house and view. We really enjoyed the new split AC inverter--efficient and comfortable. Robin is a great property host. You can easily access several restaurants and grocery stores in Christiansted in 20 minutes or less. Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful place with an amazing view! The decor was wonderful and it was very clean upon arrival. I loved sitting outside and enjoying the sunrise every morning.
The only issues I had with the place was the poor water pressure (difficult to get the toilets to flush even toilet paper), the bathtub didn't feel very sturdy and sometimes shifted when reaching for soap, and the air conditioner didn't seem to really cool down the place at all even on the coolest temperature.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. It was absolutely beautiful and you couldn't beat the views.

We had a wonderful time in the secluded cottage on the clifts of the dry side of St. Croix. Beautiful mountain views, the sound of crashing waves and peaceful sunrises made this location a perfect get away for us. The home was very comfortable and in great condition, both inside and out. The owner was very kind and helpful with all of our questions and requests. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to vacation again at the Honeymoon Cottage.

We enjoyed our stay at the honeymoon cottage. We ran out of water at the end of our stay but Robin was quick to send a plumber out. Robin was very pleasant, helpful, and responded quickly. We enjoyed the dip pool with the beautiful view of the ocean. The cottage is within minutes to all the restaurants and beaches. It is far enough to feel like your on your private island but close enough to enjoy everything St. Croix has to offer.

We couldn’t be happier with our time in the Honeymoon Cottage! It didn’t seem possible that the location could be even more beautiful in person, but it was. Robin was an extremely helpful and attentive host, providing tips and insights about navigating the island. The South Eastern shore of the Island is quiet and remote, allowing for plenty of opportunities to explore local beaches and bays. Don’t skip this trip!

The Honeymoon Cottage was a perfect spot for a private scenic getaway. I highly recommend a rental car as this is somewhat isolated, which is exactly what we were looking for. It was still a quick trip into town for meals or activities. The host was very responsive and the place was clean with good amenities. The views are absolutely wonderful, couldn't get enough. Would definitely recommend for a romantic getaway.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this unique cottage nestle on a peninsula away from all the hustle and bustle of St. Croix. The property manager is always available with any questions or cocerns. The only negative part of the cottage is the back porch no longer looks like the pictures online. The bench seat and the large red cushion beds are gone. The only thing to layout on is some metal framed pool beds. Overall we had a wonderful experience.

Wow. If you're thinking about booking this place, do it now! The pictures can't do it justice. The view is incredible and the house is very clean and the perfect size. The small pool is perfect for cooling off after exploring on the rock formations below. I can't wait to come back to St. Croix, I know where I'll be staying!

We had a great stay at the "Honeymoon Cottage" at Point Elizabeth!
The property and views are truly exceptional, and with some additional attention to detail it certainly would have been a 5-star experience. There were a few setbacks such as a broken kitchen cabinet door, lightbulbs that needed replacement and bacon left on the oven racks. Again, the property itself was beautiful, but for the price tag I'd really appreciate attention to detail.
The water surrounding the house, while absolutely breathtaking to look at, is very difficult to actually swim in due to the rocks and coral. This bit of information would have been appreciated in the house description.
Overall, we had a wonderful time in St. Croix exploring the island with Point Elizabeth as our home base. Thank you!

I wanted to take my husband to St. Croix for his birthday. When I found the Honeymoon Cottage on VRBO, I knew it would be the perfect place to celebrate him! So... I booked it!
We fell in love with the property from the moment we drove up to it! It felt like we had arrived on our own private island by how the casita is situated atop the very large rock! The house was perfect for us!! It has everything we needed and then some - a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, different lounge chairs, and beach towels - we wanted for nothing!
But the views from the back patio - OHMYGOODNESS - to die for!! We sat out there all day, every day, and at night to take in the moon and stars - breathtaking!!
Robin was a doll to work with!! She was very responsive if we had any questions!! I would absolutely recommend the Honeymoon Cottage to anyone - it is a MUST place to stay!!

This cottage was absolutely perfect for my husband and I. Secluded but not isolated. Small but has everything that is needed. If you need to truly get away, this is the perfect spot. Our host was welcoming and available if we needed any assistance..which we did not. You can watch the sunset and the sunrise and you can snorkel beside the property or lounge at the little pool on the porch. We made breakfast every morning and there are great restaurants nearby for dinner. There are amazing sights that are a short drive away. Book it!!! You’ll be so glad you did!!!

This is truly a beautiful, unique home. We stayed here in October '22 and loved it so much we came back this January. We've been married for 10 years and have never repeated a vacation location before this one!
This is the perfect location for two people who want to be with nature and away from it all. Outside you're surrounded by water on 3 sides, about 30 feet above crashing waves below. The south facing patio is completely private, includes a small dipping pool and faces the ocean. Inside the house is well laid out, not cluttered, it's clean and comfortable. Reginald is easy to communicate with and very responsive.

Incredible location with views and privacy as described - 10/10 would return and recommend! The location is isolated from food/groceries so having a car is probably ideal, especially for stays more than a few days.

I have never seen a host more deserving of 500 stars, not just 5. Reginald went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, even met us at the restaurant to say hello and gave us some local fishing tips. He answered all our questions about the island and took care of a lot of the details for us. We can’t wait to return and stay with friends at another one of his properties. Seriously would never want to stay in a property he isn’t hosting! Thank you again sir! As for the honeymoon cottage I was sure the pictures were just great pictures and didn’t expect it to be this secluded or beautiful. You really are on this cliff all alone. We came for our honeymoon that we didn’t take 20 years ago and it was romantic and beautiful. We now plan to retire at St Croix.

This property was as good as advertised and reviewed. The place was very clean. We enjoyed the privacy and being away from it all. We could have spent all day enjoying the patio and dipping pool, but wanted to also explore all the beaches the island had to offer. The location is great for the preserve and some of the more remote beaches to the east of the island. It also is only a 40 minute or so drive to the west beaches and more "tourist" areas. We also could be at nice restaurants in about 15 minutes. Our meal a The Galleon was incredible. We would definitely recommend. The full moon at night from patio was amazing (but we do hope to be back sometime without a full moon so we can see all the stars). I would recommend this place to anyone and we had an amazing anniversary trip!

We can't say enough nice things about this AirBnB! The cottage is incredible. Fully stocked kitchen equipment, super clean and the location is truly a sanctuary.
We spent our Honeymoon here. The water hitting against the cliff sides, the lovely pool and the star-gazing was unlike anything we've ever seen.
The "cherry on top" was the host. Reginald went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. We stayed during Tropical Storm Fiona and the cottage was SUPER sturdy. We felt safe the entire time and Reggie was very communicative with our questions!
Side note: The stay includes a $100 restaurant voucher to 1 of 3 local restaurants (read the print at the bottom of the booking!) Also, recommend renting a Jeep for the Island, getting around the bumpy roads was much more navigable!

The Honeymoon Cottage is the perfect getaway. You feel like you’re on an island all on your own. The views from the cottage were amazing from stargazing at night to watching turtles swim by. There are many great secluded beaches nearby to relax on. Whenever we had any questions Reginald was quick to answer. We had a great stay celebrating our 25th anniversary!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Already miss the sound of waves crashing while star gazing
Villa was extremely clean, dipping pool was enjoyable. The breeze is strong and the house was generally cool due to the breezes allowing one to open up Vs using AC . Bed was comfortable. the couches were nice and set up nicely to enjoy the view from the sliding doors Glasses, plates, pots and pans were provided. If your planning on cooking a lot you will have to pick up essentials as Salt/Pepper/etc wernt provided
there's a nice beach walking right outside the door to the east, with a good spot to throw a blanket down and have a cup of coffee or beverage of your choice (its about a 1/4 mi walk - look for the palm trees)
We didnt get any odor from the Sargassum (there was a lot less here than at the Divi or on the East ead over by Duggans)
If you're looking for seclusion, yet not being too far from town this is a great option

The Honeymoon Cottage is a great place to stay at in St. Croix! We loved the location! It was so nice being able to sit outside and enjoy listening to the waves crashing against the rocks. So relaxing! We also enjoyed the privacy and space it gave us.

VI Premier Vacation Rentals was great to work with from booking to meeting us at the house and was responsive to one minor maintenance question. I highly recommend them.
The house has a truly amazing one of a kind view and came with many small details such as fresh pastries, a bottle of rum, nice bath towels, beach towels, quality bathrobes, laundry and dish soap and a well equipped kitchen. The bed was comfy and the house was clean. However, the home is probably overdue for a bit of TLC - broken furniture, missing pictures on the walls and a few minor things not working. Overall, we had no real complaints about the house. The lower than expected rating is mostly due to the extreme remote location of the home and the wind which made the beautiful rear patio simply unusable. Due to the wind, the pool was too cold to use even though it was 83 degrees and sunny every day. The outside chase lounge chairs were broken leaving nothing to sit on outside. Anything not tied down would blow away. Unfortunately, we ended up spending most of our vacation elsewhere on the island instead of at the property so we could be outside. We were aware of the remote location of the home but because we drove each day to other beaches, we spent a lot of time driving to get back to the house.
Overall, I have no regrets about renting the house for a wonderful 30th anniversary but I just can't recommend anyone spend that much money on a rental unless the house gets a bit of TLC and builds a wind block wall or something to make that gorgeous patio and pool more usable.
Saint Croix? This was my second time on the island and I LOVE it. Beautiful, plenty of things to do, good food, great friendly people.

With so many amazing and unique places on the island it’s hard to believe one can stand out. The location of this place is one of a kind, out on a tiny peninsula in your own world over the ocean. Perfect size for 2 adults, clean, all kitchen equipment you could need to make meals available. Soaking pool in the back is perfect end to a salty day and nighttime will bring more stars than you’ve ever seen.

I have to believe that this is the nicest overall rental on the island for its size. The only negative was that I was turned off a bit initially when I first arrived. It was sort of like being really excited for a Tinder date only to find that your date had used 15 year old pictures when you first see her. However this is mostly due to the fact that the island has suffered from a lack of rainfall and there was some storm damage to the property. Once I got beyond the initial disappointment that the "curb appeal" was slightly less impressive than the photos, I was able to focus on the truly one of a kind amazing location. The constant wind keeps the property cool even in the hot sun. The pool was just the right depth to stay nicely cool but not cold. The views of the night sky while laying out by the pool in the evening were fantastic. Being on the less populated East side of the island allows for easy access to the amazing restaurants and secluded beaches (Smuggler's Cove was the best - and was quickly nicknamed "snuggler's" cove by us). Definitely plan to rent a car and be adventurous. Driving on the left is actually sort of fun and there are so many small hidden beaches that you can find with a little effort. My only recommendation to the homeowner's is to update the exterior photos. This is NOT a reason to avoid the property. Overall it is great but the driveway is currently very dry, dusty and rutted and honestly not attractive. This should NOT dissuade anyone from renting this property, but just lower your initial expectations of the curb appeal so you aren't disappointed by this gorgeous property.

The Honeymoon Cottage is an amazing experience! When driving toward the house, and rounding a bend several miles away, seeing the house sitting out on a point, I was unbelievably excited to arrive and see this gem up close! It is truly a sight to see, and to actually stay there is a special experience. The photos give you a pretty good idea that the house is unique and private, but the experience of being there can't be beat!
Seeing the house from a distance was always fun as we returned from the day's activities. Once back on the property it was great to enjoy the amazing views and constant ocean sounds. Sitting on the patio you can see down the cliffs to the waves breaking on rocks sending water splashing into the air. After a while you can turn and view the beautiful coastline in either direction - it was difficult to choose which I preferred. The decorations inside are very lovely, comfortable, clean, etc. and the kitchen is well stocked.
The location is about 15 - 20 minutes from Christiansted and a great food market. Also close to Salt restaurant, and my favorite place Ziggy's! Another cool thing we did was kitesurf with Leading Edge Kite School, just 1 cove to the West of the house - it was so beautiful and convenient.
I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who loves the outdoors and values privacy and being outside of the fray. I will definitely return to this home!

This is a very special place. If you love the ocean, surrounded by the roaring surf and sea breezes, this is it! The cottage itself is really adorable, clean and in good condition, with many beautiful original works of art. The kitchen is quite well equipped and we were able to prepare meals. We had a few initial problems moving in, but Laurel was very helpful and very responsive and everything was taken care of.
It is very isolated— sort of like staying in a lighthouse. It might not be for everyone, but we loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!

The property is truly spectacular, the views are incredible, the house is beautiful and has everything you could need (the umbrella saved our skin!) and it was a genuinely wonderful experience. One caveat, the driveway is steep and rocky and I would recommend having a Jeep or some other kind of off road vehicle (also in general for the island).

When we saw it on Vrbo site, my wife said we have to stay there. Book it! Expectations were high and it didn’t disappoint. Spectacular views; the ultimate in privacy, crashing waves against the rocks below and just a very unique place to stay. A little too windy a couple days but all beaches on the island are public so we spent a couple days on the beach at Tamarind and Buccaneer resorts. Internet was solid, hot water and pressure was better than expected. No satellite TV but had Netflix when you wanted a rest from activity!

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Point Elizabeth on the southern side of St Croix. The property is amazing. The views of the ocean and the night sky are spectacular. We enjoyed the sunrises and the sunsets! The seclusion of the property is nice, but it is not far from areas of activity. We enjoyed going to Point Udall, the rain forest, ALL of the distilleries, and several of the beaches. Disco Bingo at Deep End Bar was great. The property was such a pleasure to stay at that we plan to return for a longer stay in the future.

My husband and I stayed 5 days at this cottage. It was perfectly set on a private peninsula overlooking the sea. We sat outside every night star gazing and enjoying the sound of the ocean. The dip pool was perfect for the hot days.
We were so close to Point Udall with superb hiking and snorkeling.
The cottage was very spacious. The extra half bath was a nice surprise.
Abby met us at the airport so we could follow her to the location. Lorel was always available via phone for all our questions. We enjoyed the Champange surprise very much! Would stay here again as we hope to visit St Croix in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this cottage. Very clean and quaint. The bench on the back patio area was broken. It looked like it was damaged in a storm or blown away. Otherwise, a lovely stay. Felt very private but was not far from town.

You literally cannot beat this location if you want to be away from all of the bustle of resorts. With that, a rental car is mandatory unless you hired a driver for the whole time. Taxi would be impossible. I would suggest a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill.
Communication with the property manager was very timely and attentive. Our travel got delayed and were unable to make our first night and they worked with meetings us at the new time. Also, the power went out (happens a lot on islands) and they made sure everything came back on smoothly.
My favorite part was taking a shower and being able to look out the window and seeing no one else insight. We also sat outside in the evenings with our “Star Walk” app and was able to see so many stars and constellations we normally can’t see in the city.
The location just cannot be found anywhere else.

If you have the opportunity to stay here, take it. It is absolutely incredible. My husband and I stayed for 7 nights and it was perfect from beginning to end. We came to St Croix to attend a wedding and to also celebrate our own (5th) anniversary; I am still not sure how I missed this place during my first attempts at finding a VRBO to stay for our visit but I am so happy we stumbled on this one. It is truely unique. Remote enough to be completely private but close enough to dining and shopping. No words or pictures can describe the exquisite views or the calming sound of the water below hitting the rocks. It's breathtaking. Not only the sunrise and sunsets, but go during a full moon and you'll find it hard to stop staring. Just beautiful. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Could not have asked for anything better!!!!

My husband and I spent a week at this Grassy Point cottage; and while there are many great aspects to it and the location, we also had some frustrating issues that prevented us from fully enjoying our stay--especially given the premium we paid for this rental.
PROS:
1. Location: The view is every bit as spectacular as you'd expect, and the privacy of being the only lodging on the point is very nice. You feel very remote, but so much of what the island has to offer is within a 10-20 minute drive.
2. Furnishings: The cottage is beautifully appointed.
3. People: All of the people we encountered who do work on the property were extremely nice and helpful.
CONS:
1. We had a number of fairly significant issues arise at the beginning of our stay, one of which could have easily been avoided (see advice below) and one of which was never resolved. I spent a lot of time and effort during my vacation trying to get these things resolved or simply get answers.
2. The tub/shower situation is not ideal, as you will get water all over the floor no matter what. There is a drain in the floor under the tub, but no amount of effort will get the pooled water to actually go into the drain. It was so bad that the water started creeping into the bedroom area. It's a LOT of water on the floor.
3. Contrary to the description above, which mentions beach chairs and an umbrella, we did not find any on the property.
ADVICE:
1. Before you arrive, verify with management that the water cistern has a sufficient supply of water. We awoke to no water on our second morning, and we didn't have water until 5pm that evening.
2. Be prepared for the fact that you will have a sugar ant issue, even if you keep the windows closed.
3. The south shore of the island--especially on such an exposed point--can be very windy, so there is a good chance that you won't be able to enjoy the patio as much as you'd like.
4. There is a clothes washer in the cottage, but don't assume that it will be functioning.
