Compact apartment near beautiful Durham city centre. Good heating, well equipped mini kitchen, shared multiple washing machines cum dryers on ground floor. Call centre staff member may not have accurate info all the time but Charlie is helpful and very responsive via booking.com chat box.

Initial issues with wifi, soft bed and pillows. Good water pressure except for the shower which has no pressure. Provision of only ‘starter pack’ of dish washing liquid, 30 ml of shop and shampoo and one toilet roll. No parking provided so use Park and Ride (7am to 7pm, nearest at Howlands, need to pay and take bus to avoid fines, carpark non-operational on Sundays) and free parking along the streets after 6pm.

The location is fabulous: every day we enjoyed walking around Durham. It was easy access to City Centre, the Cathedral and Castle as well as so many restaurants and shops. As a guest, it’s helpful to keep in mind that this place is self-catering. We felt very safe staying here which is nice to know if you’re coming from abroad.

Everything was just as described. The metered street parking was good, but we were just 15 minuets late paying the meter and got a ticket, so be prompt. Even though on a big street it was very quiet at night.

Had a great stay- the flat is a really great location for walking around Durham, enjoying restaurants & coffee shops. It’s just a short walk and you’re right in the centre.
It’s not for you if you want quiet as there is some background noise but this didn’t bother me.
Unfortunately it was let down by instructions for entry coming through late & I had to chase them a couple of times. Also the listing isn’t completely accurate- there’s no dishwasher, the toiletries are limited.
There were some stains on the sofas too- but other than this the flat was spotlessly clean and well presented.
I would definitely stay again.

Very spacious. Had microwave and oven and utensils. Good room design, comfortable bed and sofa. Not the absolute best but very comfortable.
Tv had youtube and netflex with Netflix subscription actually. Near the city center i basically walk everywhere. And also a lot of parking around. It had soap to wash dishes and bathsoap shampoo towels.

I had unfortunate trouble with wifi the signal was very weak and you cannot depend on it. It will cut on and off somtimes off for up to half an hour. For youtube and lesioure is good but work or uber rides or anything like that you cannot depend on it.
The heating is not the best. Average. Maybe below average.
Had some trouble accessing the key even when inserted the right number but it couldn’t budge for awhile.
Theres no safe inside. And you have to buy the cleaning to clean your laundry. Theres no water gift on arrival. The cleaning fee is not within the booking fee careful with that. As far as i understand no availabile refill of toilet paper and shampoo and other stuff.

Wonderful stay over the holiday! The place was beautifully maintained, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The decor was charming, and it felt like a home away from home. Location was perfect, within easy walking distance to Durham city centre and the town's attractions, which made exploring the area incredibly convenient. Dave provided great recommendations and made the stay seamless.

The studio is clean and very convenient for me as my plan for this trip is to visit the cathedral everyday to pray. The location is very strategic and I love the kitchen where I can buy some groceries from nearby grocery places to cook.

I do not like the 1) the mattress and the sofa were too soft for me. I have backbones injuries, soft mattress and sofa caused pain.
2) I am a tourist. I did not know that 8 Mayford house, the address do not mean that the number of the unit is 8. It is actually the number for the studio. The apartment's number is 56 something (I am not sure). I arrived at night the first day. with my 3 luggage and waters, I had to walk up and down the whole street to find the place. I tried to call but seems that the person in charge do not know how to help me. I had to get help from the students that staying around. Even after I have found the apartment, still I could not find the keybox as it was placed in front of the studio at the second floor. I called to as the person in charge but seemed she had no idea where the keybox was. I hope you can take note of this, especially we are not from England, we would assume the number of the address is the number of the house. thanks.

Perfect location, easy walk to the centre. Very near a lovely little pub called the Dun Cow.
A little noisy at night but we did stay over a weekend so to be expected.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable, the only criticism is that there were only 2 pillows (1 each) and they were quite thin. The instructions for finding the lock box were also not entirely correct. Otherwise everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay.

The best thing about this space is the location and it was clean, modern and easy to check in. However, there were a few things that weren’t ideal. We asked in advance about Pay & Display parking costs but the response was inaccurate. A man turned up to fix a blind but we weren’t informed in advance. The mattress was too soft. There was a lot of noise from vacuuming in the corridor early on a weekend morning which disturbed us.

A very convenient location for visiting Durham as everything within walking distance.Clean,compact ,comfortable ,although lampshade and blinds were damaged on our visit and dining chairs rather unstable.

The studio is well located at the center of Durham. It is cozy, well equipped, clean, and reasonably large. So overall I liked the place. Note that the guest needs to sign a separate agreement with the managing company for indemnification in case of damage.
