Such a lovely roomy house with everything we needed . The only downside, which we did know about before booking, is the lack of a garden or enclosed outdoor area for children to play . We’ll happily be booking again next year.

The property was much bigger than expected from the photos seen. We all loved the lovely clean bedding, plus, with plenty of pans and cooking equipment, preparing a Christmas Dinner was no problem at all. The property is an approx. 30 min walk in to the centre of Whitby. A downside to the property, is that there is no private garden as such. There is a space outside the front of the property to sit, but this is kind of the driveway for the property next door and the parking area for your own vehicles. Over all a lovely big house, with plenty of cutlery and crockery.

What a beautiful house, definitely a wow moment when I opened the door. The kitchen was great had everything I have at home and was a lovely sociable environment as we went with friends. Loved the rural setting and there was plenty of walks for our dogs. the centre of whitby was only a 5 minute short drive. Will definitely return

Lovely house , quality bedding and beds , quiet location , parking can be an issue ,with no more than 2 cars if your lucky , No garden . For children to play outside it’s just a drive , apart from the things we found wrong , it’s a beautiful place, it’s more of a barn conversion. Than a house very spacious, for family’s and every thing is supplied for cooking etc , thank you for a lovely stay ,

The accomodation was large and matched the description. The house is tucked away, my self and husband did struggle a bit to find it. However it is well located for Whitby and other attractions around. Also plenty of walks. I was a little put out that on entering the house for the first time there was quite a pile of post, made it quite clear no one had been into the property for a few days, also some large cobwebs around that had been there for some time. The kitchen was very well equipped, however we did have to check and wash some glasses before use, found lip stick marks on one. I chose the property has there were five of us, all adults and therefore wanted one with two bathrooms. However despite reporting this to the owner the shower in our warm was always much too hot, did not have much of a shower all week.

We know the area well and found it a great base for visiting sea, countryside and places of interest. The house is comfortable, roomy and wonderfully well equipped. We hope to return next year.

The properpty was nothing short of absolutely gorgeous! (In fact, I didn't want to leave!!) Really pleased with our find.. apart from a few cleaning issues and the freezer. However, these issues were fed back to Host and Stay during our stay and a professional, friendly and prompt response was received from them, which we were very impressed by. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and are booking to return next year. For a group of 5 adults, there was plenty of room in the property to not be on top of each other. Very well equipped and a real gem of a find.

Fantastic house, we were 4 friends on a long weekend. Very spacious, extremely well equipped and very warm. Plenty of parking space and a quiet pleasant location a short drive from Whitby centre. Highly recommended.

Lovely house, good location, easy check in and very friendly neighbours. Unfortunately the en-suite shower and tvs did not work properly and there was no communication from the hosts when this information was shared.

What a very disappointing experience. A leak started in the kitchen on the Friday night - there had been heavy rain so we thought it was related to this. However, on the Saturday it was still dripping so we contacted the host to let them know. Initially it was a continuous drip in three different places however this got significantly worse into the early evening. I was made aware the owner needed to be contacted and the delay at that moment in time was not an issue. However, by the evening the kitchen was not usable. The children could not eat at the table and neither could we. We spent our evening on Saturday emptying buckets and moving items to reduce any damage risk. My husband and friend had to empty a recycling bin from outside and wheel it in as the buckets were filling too quickly. As nobody actually came out we had no choice but to turn the mains water off. This meant three children and four adults had no water during the night and for breakfast/checkout the next day. It really was not acceptable and the house certainly not liveable. We had to turn the water back on to do basic activities like flush the toilet before we departed. On top of the above, our friends found angina spray medication in the master bed and numerous dead insects were on windowsills and the floorboards upon arrival. Having been back and forth with the host company, the final refund offer is derisory. I want to warn others regarding this issue as upon inspection the ceiling was already water stained so obviously not the first time this has happened. The company did not send anyone out to the property even though we sent photos and videos. Had we been booked to stay any longer we would have left that night as the property was not liveable. Such a disappointing experience.

We had a lovely two night stay here as a party of 3 adults and two children. There was plenty of room to sleep and the living areas are very spacious. All that we needed was provided including high chair and a coffee machine. We would recommend and would stay again.

Can’t fault this accommodation. It is extremely spacious and very well equipped. It’s a short 15 minute “downhill” walk into the centre of Whitby, a little longer coming back uphill! We had a fantastic time and left feeling relaxed and as if we’d had a luxury break. We’ll worth staying.

Lovely property in a great location - 25/30 min stroll on the cinder track into Whitby. Plenty of space for larger groups to spread out. Has everything you need for a break away from home. Would recommend it
