Rookhope Arch is a dog friendly, ground floor apartment with style in abundance. Brand new for 2020, this recently refurbished property provides a relaxing self-catering retreat in the countryside.
Located in St John’s Chapel in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Rookhope Arch is ideal for those who love being outside. You’ll be welcomed into a bright and homely space when you enter the living area. The dark leather sofa and matching chair are complimented perfectly with mustard cushions and a throw. The perfect place to relax, you can switch on the flat screen TV to watch Freeview or lay back on the sofa with a good book.
The dining area includes a breakfast style counter and bar stools. Tucked away behind the breakfast bar is the kitchen. With an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and washing machine, Rookhope Arch is fully equipped for self-catering stays. There is also the added luxury of a coffee machine so you can enjoy a fresh coffee each morning.
Head to the double bedroom and you’ll find a calming space with a neutral colour scheme. Pops of colour are added with mustard soft furnishings. There are light wood bedside tables framing the bed and tall mirrors above. The bedding and linens are high quality to ensure you have a restful night's sleep.
Outside you’ll find an enclosed patio area with a dining table and four chairs.
The modern and clean bathroom boasts a large walk in shower, WC and basin.
Chapel Place is home to four separate apartments with a maximum capacity of 10. If you are looking for a stay for a large group there are often opportunities to rent all four apartments together. Please send us an email with your preferred dates for availability and prices.

There is free parking on the premises for one car. Additional free parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in.

An excellent base: comfortable and well positioned. The village good facilities ( cafe, shop, two pubs - one serving food). The apartment is very new and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable and everything was in good working order, although the shower pressure was low and we had to keep it on the eco setting which provided little more than a dribble of hot water!

Property Manager Terms
- For a full refund, the guest must cancel at least 5 full days before the listing’s local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email).
- If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, 50% of the nightly rate for the nights not spent 24 hours after the cancellation occurs are refunded.
- Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
- Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you’re charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
- A reservation is officially cancelled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.
