In accordance with Decree No. (17) of 2013 a guest staying at hotels, resorts, hotel apartments, guesthouses, budget hotels, floating hotels, holiday homes, and other hotel establishments as specified by the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing, will be charged the Tourism Dirham Fee for each night of occupancy of a room at a Hotel Establishment. As per UAE law starting from 1st of January 2018 there will be 5% VAT (value added tax) implemented in addition to the tourism fees, which would be collected at the time of check-in.

So, the check in was effortless. The apartment was as described but extremely small and they didnt even have a bottle of water. When I untucked the blanket there were hair all over the bed. On the day of checkout, their executive came at 10.54 am and asked about the checkout to which I told him my checkout is at 12 pm. He said, I was told 11.30 am, then i said that my POC told me to checkout at 12 pm. He then asked me to handover the access card. So i told him that I will be going to carrefour downstairs so I will need the key. So he said, put paper inside the lock and go. I told him that I cannot as my valuables will be inside. So i told him to come back 10 mins before my checkout. This time he came again at 11.30 and handed over his manager’s call so I told the manager that your employee asked me to vacate at 11.30 and as soon as I did that, the employee started raising his voice and called me a liar and behaved like a goon. Dont deal with them, the team is very very bad.
