The space
The Suites is part of the Zimbali Coastal Resort, one of Ballito’s most prestigious assets. The magnificent 700-hectare residential resort rests on a pristine golf course that maximizes the natural landscape. It has been described as “an enthralling journey through 18 holes” with an even dose of both challenge and charm.The Zimbali Coastal Resort is a place where miles of deserted beaches divide the warm Indian Ocean and the lush coastal vegetation. A place where you can observe schools of dolphins in the waves and whale sharks as well. A place to enjoy bird watching while encountering over 200 species of birds, and indigenous wild life with shy blue Duiker and families of Bushbuck wandering through.
Guest access
Same day check-ins need to be confirmed before 9.30AM otherwise cannot be accepted.Infants are allowed but NO baby beds/cots are provided. These will need to be brought in by the guest.
Guests at The Zimbali Suites have access to the below via the shuttle service:
- Zimbali Suites pool and garden area
- Zimbali Championship 18 Hole Golf Course - booking essential
- 3km stretch of private beach by showing your gate access card to security
- Bushbuck Club restaurant, tennis court, kiddies gym, cricket pitch and pool
- Running trails and more
(Please note that some facilities/activities come at an additional cost which must be arranged and paid once within the estate).
The Golf Course can be accessed by car. All other amenities can be accessed by foot.
Please also note that there is no lifeguard on site or at the private beach.
Other popular beaches in the area include Salmon Bay and Clarke Bay.

DAMAGE PROTECTION
This property is protected by Just Be Lekker, the travel reputation platform. Guests must pay a R2,500 refundable security deposit to secure the property and should expect contact from Just Be Lekker to verify the booking. Please note that an additional non refundable service fee of R47 will be charged. This fee covers the cost of verifying the booking and ensuring the property's protection. In the event of a claim a 15% service fee will be charged.
While the security deposit will be processed 1 day before check-in, we advise you to complete the Just Be Lekker verification process as soon as possible to avoid any complications with your booking.
LOADSHEDDING
To assist during loadshedding if this should occur during your stay, this property has a generator that automatically kicks in when the power goes out. You're welcome to bring your own mobile backup power to assist you further. You'll be notified prior to check-in of the loadshedding schedule should there be any that occur during your stay so that you can plan around it accordingly.

Really great place, Zimbali is amazing especially for a family with young children. Safe and convenient with restaurants available close by. Wherever there was an inconvenience to deal with the response from the agent was incredible and issues resolved quickly. We’ll come back

I was happy with the apartment 7/10 ..the only problems I encountered was the tv was not working ..you cnt even watch normal tv channels like SABC 1.2.3 etc and I had issues with their wifi .thr host must fix the tv n give guests normal channels and get a stable wifi

The location was fine but I think the greatest disappointment was that we were not allowed to get onto the beach or to walk to Ballito from Zimbali. You need a card and these are only available to residents and guests from the main hotel. We were in Zimbali Suites so were not alllowed access. The furniture on the verandah was substandard and broken. I reported this but to no avail. We only had 3 forks (property should cater for 4) and 3 matching plates. The rest mismatched and low quality. The airconditio9ner leaked and we used a towel to dry the floor. Dirty towels were not replaced and the unit not serviced regularly. We are from the UK so used to cleaning up after ourselves. The beds were nice and comfortable.

We got to the apartment after the check in time. It wasn’t cleaned. 2 hours delay with cleaning after we called to advise them that the place wasn’t cleaned after the last guests. Aircon does not work. The patio furniture is unusable because it’s broken and unraveling. The fridge is rusted on the side. The bath tub has mould in the grout. We didn’t stay, we booked ourselves into The Capital instead, for the duration of our holiday at triple the cost. We didn’t hear from the host and Airbnb despite reporting it immediately. Only resolved the next day, we requested a refund.
