The apartment is right in the heart of Old Town and was perfect for our extended stay in York. We spent nearly a month here, balancing work and leisure. There are plenty of guided tours—both walking and bus—that make it easy to explore the city and the rest of Yorkshire. Groceries and other essentials are just a short walk away.

Fantastic hosts, excellent location, and flat even nicer than the photos show. Well appointed kitchen, spacious living area and bedrooms. Water pressure is incredible, you won’t find it this great in most places. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our second time staying in this rental apartment; if you are looking for somewhere to stay in York, you honestly could not find anywhere more perfect. It is a beautiful, clean, spacious and comfortable apartment right in the center of beautiful York. It is such a nice place to come back to after a day of touring around. It is near everything! A short walk away are great restaurants, shopping, groceries, and it is very near all of the attractions like York Minister, the Shambles, Betty's Tea and the City Walls walk. Ben and Katie are so pleasant to deal with, we really appreciated how responsive and friendly they are.

Group of 4 enjoyed our stay in historic York. Apartment had everything we needed with small but workable kitchen, comfortable beds, and great location to access local sites and transit stations. We liked getting fresh bread at the bakery across the street and groceries at convenient Tesco express next door. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby as well. Host provides clear instructions for code entry to the apartment, good for flexible arrival times. We did not use the additional single bed that's available upon request for an extra fee. The apartment has a few steps in it to account for the house settling at different levels, and street noise/conversations can be heard clearly through closed windows, so may not be the best choice for individuals with mobility concerns or very light sleepers. But the apartment worked well for our needs and was also a great home base for excursions to Knaresborough and Harrogate, Thirsk, Howardian Hills, North York Moors, and Whitby. Would return.

We had a great stay in York! The location was amazing, however, possibly due to it being Easter, it was very loud on Friday night, but the other nights were fine. The location is brilliant, we found the flat clean and in great condition. Toys for our son - these were a hit! During the stay I had a question about the hob and they were so quick and helpful which was amazing.

We usually stay in the Grand Hotel whenever we are York, However we decided to stay in airbnb this time as we travelled this time to York with family and a toddler. I’m delighted to have booked Ben and Katie’s home. It is indeed one of the best airbnb i have stayed at. It is spotless, walkable to train, shambles, york minster, you name it. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby on top of that a tesco and savers feet away. There are plenty of toys, all TV’s in bedrooms and lounge have netflix!! It felt like staying in a 5 star hotel but better! If you are looking for a place in york, this is your sign to book it! Surely you’ll want to stay longer. Lots of instructions to follow on how to use this and that. A book with manuals and recommendations. A responsive host. What else can you ask for? Our stay is as wonderful as the host. Thanks again Katie and Ben. x

Clean, spacious, comfortable, and modern apartment in a great pedestrian location. Would definitely come back. Two things to keep in mind: 1. There was a slightly odd smell when we arrived, but it faded after half a day. It might have been the plug-in air fresheners, which we removed while we were there. 2. There is some noise from people walking by on the street in the evening, so if you’re a light sleeper and want to go to bed early, put on some white noise. It was perfect for us! Great water pressure, comfortable beds, good wifi, and a washer/dryer in the kitchen. Hosts provided tea, coffee, and refrigerated water.

We had a wonderful two-week stay at Katie’s home. It was spotless upon arrival. The flat has a cozy, at-home feel and the beds are very comfortable. It’s well furnished, beautifully decorated and properly equipped. We were able to cook many meals at home. The location can’t be beat. It’s close to all the sights, shops and pubs, but far enough away to get a break from the crowds. We walked everywhere with ease. Katie is quick to respond and helpful. We would love to return on our next trip.

The apartment was roomy and had everything I needed. A friend in York stopped by to say hello with her toddler, and the apartment had a high chair and toys in one closet. I was very grateful. The entry code info for taking the garbage out needed updating, but I’m sure that’s been done. It’s a true city stay, so visitors should not expect greenery around the apartment. Even though it’s in the heart of things, the apartment was quiet—I couldn’t hear any street noise. There are lots of great coffee shops and restaurants in the neighborhood, and I recommend trying some of the local places instead of the chain restaurants. It’s a great location to get to know the city. Thanks for a good stay!

We've been staying in AirBNB's for many years, and this was one of the very best that we've ever encountered in almost every way. Katie and Ben are outstanding hosts, providing extremely clear and detailed instructions from the start, immediate support throughout our stay, and great flexibility even when we were making last-minute changes. The unit itself has wonderful details around every corner - we kept finding books, games, DVD's in every storage space, and even a nice box of chocolates and bottle of champagne for Valentine's Day all waiting for us! The space itself was huge and very comfortable, perfect location in the middle of everything in York, but near a city gate where I found great places for long morning runs, and even though it was in the center, was still very quiet. Even during York's Saturday night festivities with lots of people in the streets, the place was very peaceful and we had no issues sleeping. This stay has definitely set a new AirBNB standard for us!

What an amazing location, host, and all around experience. The location - You can walk anywhere! Very close to the Minster and amazing local restaurants. The Tesco being so close by is a major perk for those late nights when you fancy a snack. The hosts - Katie and Ben are just good people. They respond within minutes and genuinely care about you and your needs. My husband and I have stayed at many AirBnB’s and I can tell you that their level of service is by far the best we have seen. Awesome! To Katie and Ben, our sincerest thanks for making this such a great experience for us. The apartment - WOW! Perfectly clean and so cozy. We enjoyed every minute in this apartment and there was much more room than we anticipated. Additionally, if you have children, everything was child-proof. That’s such a perk for parents and one less thing to worry about. Overall, best, most stress-free, experience we have had. A must stay!

I will say that Katie was a SPECTACULAR host. Katie was very prompt in communicating with my inquiries. The location of the apartment was BRILLIANT! ! You do not really need a car, there are plenty of restaurants, stores, pharmacies within walking distance. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of dishes, cookware, and utensils and the appliances were easy use. There is a nice dining and Sitting area. Both bedrooms were quite spacious, lots of closet room and dresser space for clothes. The bathrooms are also spacious and seem to have been beautifully re-modeled, there is also a washer/dryer in the apartment. It is a wonderful apartment, everything was exactly as described. This is a place not to be missed and if available for your dates, you should book it , I guarantee you will not regret staying in this wonderful apartment.

This is so central and so convenient with two huge bedrooms and a big living room and kitchen. There's a bit of faff with a separate guest registration system, but the apartment is great, the location superb, the welcome excellent and the comms superb. You can't argue with that.

This is a wonderful, roomy flat, and in an amazing location! It has everything you could need for a short or long stay, with the exception of improved WiFi service. If you aren't a digital nomad, this place is a no-brainer! The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels, kitchen tools, and other amenities to make you feel at home. There is a lift to the first floor, one step in the hall to get to the flat, another step down into a hall inside the flat, another step down in the bedroom, and another into the master bathroom. Check in/out was easy, and it was clean, well-supplied, and well managed. We (Global Geezers) will be including a review in our vlog on YouTube, in January 2022.

*Highly recommended* The accommodation is in an excellent location. Its central position, is perfect for restaurants and coffee shops. Plus the Shambles and Minster are a few minuets walk. There was clear communication on the run up to our stay. The check in information and guides on the area where really valued. We really enjoyed our time. The accommodation was immaculate and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and homely, filled with everything you'd need and decorated beautifully. Travelling with a toddler was made easy with a cot/ highchair provided which were spotlessly clean. We'd stay again!

We booked a few days away in York to get away after such a long lockdown and we couldn’t have chosen a better apartment. We read the reviews from previous visitors and agree with them that it is just like, if not better than, the photos. A lovely little kitchen off the lounge and two beautifully decorated bedrooms, one with en-suite. We were traveling with friends , so two couples, and it was perfect as each room had a kingsize( very comfortable) bed and we had a bathroom for each couple to use. All the attractions of York were very close by with restaurants and bars a stones throw away. With a Savers and Tesco’s next door we had , literally, all we needed right on our doorstep. The hosts, Ben and Katie were so prompt at answering any questions or queries we had and were very professional. On our next visit to York we will be keeping our fingers crossed that this apartment is available for us to book and world highly recommend it.

A lovely apartment, right in the middle of the walled city, 2 minutes walk from innumerable pubs and cafes. The only blot for us was that the internet connection was very slow - something to bear in mind if you're travelling with teenagers. Ours whined about it all week :-)

This is an awesome pied-a-terre within the walls of York, with masses of beautifully finished space and a fully fitted kitchen. Two beautiful bathrooms. Despite the central location it was quiet and restful. The kids really enjoyed the flat's netflix subscription and wifi. we really enjoyed the eateries and shops literally steps away.

A little bit of luxury in a brilliant location - we really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. It was sparkling clean, super-comfortable and well-equipped. We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful apartment in York. Everything about it is wonderful! The location could not be better, right in the middle of old York and within walking distance from all the historic attractions, (we also did some amazing day trips from York including Castle Howard, North York Moors Railway, Whitby, & Robin Hood's Bay). The apartment was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked including a washing machine. There were lots of little thoughtful details that made us feel like we were coming home to our own apartment and could relax. Ben was great to deal with, and very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this apartment, we miss it already!

This is a classy place to stay in the heart of York. It really is somewhere you would want to live. The rooms are stylish, spacious and you couldn't ask for more. It has great wifi and the tv service is really excellent even if we didn't make full use of it. Netflix etc is not really our thing but it is there throughout.

This apartment was my second booking, the first time was in May 2018, just after that reservation I was not able to arrive in the UK as scheduled, my friends stayed that time and felt good, so I'm still booking here in York this time.The apartment is very large, the living room and rooms are very clean and comfortable.The location is very good, York Church, Butcher Street, Betty's Tea House are all within walking distance.We had trouble parking this time and the host also helped us figure it out, thanks so much!

This apartment was so much more than we were expecting. If anything, the reality is better than the pictures. It is a very large, sparkling clean two bedroom flat which is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly want. The location is perfect - the centre of York within walking distance of everything, but on a quiet road so you get the best of both worlds. The communication was great - very detailed and giving us all of the information that we might need (check-in, parking, even what to do with the recycling). I cannot recommend this property highly enough. We would definitely like to return in the future. Thanks for having us - the property really made the trip for us.

The apartment is clean and comfortable, feels like home.It is also convenient to go to the surrounding attractions, and life is also convenient, supermarkets and markets are on the side.York is a charming place, we are here for the second time and not tired of staying here for twenty or more days.Bustling during the day, characteristic bazaars, great street performances, are full of surprises; the bars at night are so bustling, the windows of the shops also make us feel like a treasure hunt every day; the courtesy and enthusiasm of the Yorkers also make us feel relaxed... everything is so good and will choose York next time to the UK.

房子位置不错，也挺干净，但下面小事情让我们不太舒服。 预订房子的时候，搜索按照3个大人1个小孩搜索的，预订时就按照搜索的条件预订的，结果显示只有一人入住，房东以入住人数与实际人数不符为由，又让我们多加了180磅，我觉得这个不合理。在中国，都是按照房子来付钱的，基本跟入住人数无关。况且，我当时搜索条件是按照3个大人1个小孩搜的，以为订房也就是按照这个条件下订单，没想到显示的是1个人入住。对于这种情况，我觉得房东不应该向我再索要费用。 When booking a house, the search was searched by 3 adults and 1 child. The reservation was booked according to the search criteria. The result showed that only one person was staying. The landlord did not match the actual number of people, and let us add 180 pounds. I think this is unreasonable. In China, they are paid according to the house, basically regardless of the number of people staying. Moreover, my search criteria were based on 3 adults and 1 child. I thought that the reservation was placed under this condition. I didn't expect to show one person. In this case, I think the landlord should not ask me for the fee.

The best air bnb we have stayed in in England! We stayed here for two nights and found this to be the best location, close to everything we wanted to see. The accomodation was homely, clean and had everything we needed for our stay! Family visiting from New Zealand said they had the best sleep here as the beds are extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend this accommodation and have a feeling we will be back for a visit very soon. Thank you for having us Ben, your place is amazing 😊

This is a fantastic apartment, in a perfect location for exploring York. The apartment is much bigger than we expected, was spotless, and the beds are very comfortable! A beautifully finished and spotlessly clean apartment in a very nice building in the centre of York. We stayed for two nights for a graduation and we all agreed this was an apartment you would be happy to live in. It was so comfortable and stylish. Right in the centre of the city the location was perfect. A small Tesco shop a few doors down was very handy! Communication with our host Ben was very good and he arranged a very last minute request for a late check out very promptly. I would have no hesitation recommending this beautiful property and would love to go back.

WOW! Three of us stayed in Ben's apartment, and we all agreed that this was the best Airbnb we've ever been in. First, the apartment itself is in fantastic shape (a fairly recent remodel of an old bulding), clean, large, comfortable, and accessible by lift (much appreciated by us older folks with luggage) as well as stairs. The apartment looks out on the street, but the modern windows shut out any noise: I watched a delivery truck drive by one morning and couldn't hear it at all. Also, access to the building and the apartment is by keypad, so no keys to keep track of and, if your group is splitting up, no troublesome discussions trying to figure out who should take a key and who'll be back when. Second, I don't think you could ask for a better location. Near Kings Square, the apartment is within a 10-minute walk of all the attractions, pubs, and restaurants in the old city. Besides all that, what makes this the gold standard for Airbnb? Ben is the best organized and thorough host we've run across. When your reservation is confirmed, you'll receive all the information you need to find the apartment (including complete and accurate walking instructions from the train station -- dragging luggage through the mid-day crowd, it took us only 20 minutes), access and wi-fi codes, television instructions, and other "quick start" information. Once at the apartment, you'll find a small table in the entry hall with brochures, menus from nearby restaurants, and maps. Open the drawer and discover two binders: one has more information about the apartment, restaurant recommendations, and such; the second has the user manuals for all the appliances, which we have never seen in any other Airbnb. When we had any questions for Ben, he answered our e-mails promptly. This was our first visit to York, and we loved it. Without a doubt, staying at Ben's apartment was one of the big reasons we enjoyed it so much.

Ben was a wonderful host and was very patient with us on our day of arrival. He set up toys, a travel cot and high chair for our little boy, which made life much easier. The location is fabulous, with the view over the river and less than 5 minutes walk to the pedestrianised central parts of York. Having a parking space on site made having a car very easy. Ben handed the flat over to us with a bottle of prosecco and a box of maltesers - a nice touch. Would stay here again if I come to York again

What a comfortable stay! Ben greeted us personally, arranged for a crib to be set up for our youngest, and had milk in the fridge and a toy chest. Could not have asked for better service. The apartment is exactly as described. You are a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of York City centre, but have the luxury of being in a fantastic apartment which is in a quiet residential street, a stone throw from the river. The restaurants, supermarkets and shops are within 100 metres of the apartment and museums. For a family break I can't recommend this apartment highly enough

Excellent communication with Ben. He was there to greet us and welcome us to his flat. It was exactly as described in the listings. The location was fantastic....right in the centre of York. But it was still very quiet. The flat was warm and toasty when we arrived which was great as it was very cold outside. We did not use the car during our visit as we had no need to and having the parking space was definitely a bonus. Would definitely recommend this flat . Thank you Ben

It was very easy to contact Ben and he explained the apartment to us very well. It is a very spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet apartment with amazing views, right in the centre of York. Shops are close by, as well as the Wall and the York Minster. We parked our car under the building and everything went extremely smoothly.

Great place! Apartment has a nice spacious layout with separation between the bedrooms and living area, and was very comfortably furnished. Great location in the city center, but on a quiet street and in a quiet complex with grocery stores right around the corner. Very clean with lots of natural light and a nice view of the river. Ben met us right on time and had a cot set up for us for our 2 year old.

Ben was fantastic at organising he hand over prior to arrival. Emailed us frequently to discuss times and was just generally friendly. Although he wasn't able to meet us himself, he ensured that someone was there to give us the keys and make it as easy as possible. This is a great place to stay! Ben was ready and waiting when we arrived and quickly showed us around the flat. The location is perfect with easy walking to all of downtown York as well as a great view of the river out the main room window. The flat is modern and well appointed - very nice. Fantastic bathroom and 2 excellent bedrooms. Kitchen and living room are great as well. Could not have been better - really excellent.

We love visiting York, with its fantastic mix of history, shopping and places to eat. What made this trip all the more special was our apartment and our hosts Ben and Katie. From the first email, they were prompt, helpful and professional. Their apartment was exactly as described and more. With its river view, secure parking, ample space for four and proximity to the centre we would highly recommend booking this apartment. Sitting in the evening, with the balcony doors open, overlooking the river, was a great way to relax after a day out. We had a fantastic time, thank you.

We finished up our sightseeing early that day and were allowed to check in a couple hours ahead of schedule, which was very welcome since we were a bit tired from our drive down to York from the Hadrian's Wall area. Ben met us out front of the building and explained everything. The unit is just as pictured - the location and view is wonderful. A special bonus is the parking spot - right outside the door to the building. While the layout of the apartment itself was a bit odd, it had all the features we required and there were no surprises. We loved relaxing in the living room looking out towards the river. A grocery store is just up the street around the corner, and you can easily walk to all the tourist sites within the York walls. You can even access the wall walk just up the street (the opposite way from the grocery).

Our stay at the apartment was great from start to finish. Ben was there to welcome us and was friendly and informative. A bottle of Prosecco was thoughtfully provided as we were celebrating a 60th birthday. The apartment was clean, cosy and stylish and we were very comfortable. It's also perfectly placed for York city centre, which is a five minute walk away so you can leave your car in the secure parking. We will definitely be coming back for another stay.

It is a wonderful apartment, exactly as described. It has everything for stay of a family or group of people. I should also mention that it is easily accessible for wheelchairs/pushchairs, which can be important for some travelers. The location is great, it is close to the train station and to the city center. We arrived late in the evening, nevertheless Ben met us to show the flat, he was always very helpful and replied promptly. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.
