For background, I travel pretty frequently, 4 star hotels and up. Pros: - host is super responsive and helpful. - place was easy to find and navigate - felt very safe in the area and in the building as two women traveling. Cons: - The rooms are tiny. It was only 2 of us, we had to use one of the rooms for storage. If you are a woman, wouldn't do more than 2 people here -place needs a refresh. The place looks modern in pics, but dated in person. Walls, couch, floors etc. - small bathroom is tiny. As a slim woman, I could barely fit in the shower. we just used one bathroom - no full length mirrors anywhere except for the master bedroom - neighborhood was not ideal for me, personally. was pretty residential, not much to do. Do research on if it works for you. - Had a few issues with heating, but I'm sure that will be fixed going forward.

The apartment was lovely and living areas was spacious, well designed and the terrace was gorgeous - we loved having our coffee outside every morning. Also the location was excellent for both our conference at the conference centre and site seeing. However 2 out of the 3 bedrooms were very small. A mirror and bedside table would have been very much appreciated! They were just big enough for 2 people - 1 person in each room. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay!

The neighborhood feels residential, though it is only a few blocks from Sagrada Familia and less than a block to Encants Metro station. Plenty of food nearby, including grocery stores and nice outdoor spaces.

Damian was welcoming and responsive weeks in advance of our trip all the way up to landing on site. his representative met us on site, and gave us a number of good recommendations for the first few hours in Barcelona. Quickly we fell into a rhythm of late dinners, early mornings, and afternoon siestas in the rooftop sunshine. This suited our rest and connect objectives for the weekend.

We arrived late from our flight but we had no problem coordinating our check-in despite it being close to midnight. We received the keys as well as a helpful introduction to our place from Karolina. All our questions were welcomed, including local recommendations right off the bat. The place itself was clean, functional, and perfect for our group of 4. It was our first time in Barcelona and we were glad a lot of places were easily walkable from this location! Damien was nice enough to make sure everything was up to our standards and that everything was going well with our stay via message. He was also very accommodating with regards to our check-out time. Would definitely recommend this place.

The contact with Damien was very good: he was always available and overall very straightforward. Unfortunately, there were some problems with the accommodation for which he quickly looked for solutions. He also kindly allowed us a late check-out, which made our last day quite easier - thanks again for that! The accommodation was smaller than expected from the pictures, also much more run-down and unfortunately also a bit scruffy. In both showers, the water did not run off, various things in the bathroom were broken. Damien sent us a repairman at noon the next day, who took care of everything and was able to fix quite everything; the only thing he couldn't fix were two air conditioners, which made loud noises at regular intervals, sounding like a drill, so that you could hardly leave them running during the night. As an apology, we got a bottle of wine from the nice house manager as a conciliatory gesture. Overall, the accommodation was unfortunately too expensive for what was offered.

Good location, good host. Peronally, I found that the rooms were extremely small and cramped. The terrace and location wasthe highlight. We stayed for 3 nights but I'd say that the apartment is suutable for relatively short stays.

The apartment kitchen is nice and looked newly renovated. The beds are okay but definitely not as nice as the hotels. The place should be a long term rental not really meant to be an airbnb. It’s located in a large apartment building. The terrace overlooks on other apartment buildings and its not really a nice view. The bathroom’s shower had some stains that I was not able to take out. The neighbors complained because we are noisy on our vacation (we were talking outside in the balcony).

Good stay. The location is ideal: close to the metro and many shops and restaurants. Very good communication with Damien and excellent hosting from our host Marvelline. The listing needs to be corrected because the bed in the master bedroom is not a queen size as advertised, it is a 140cm (I choose my accommodation based on this detail because I am tall...). The other 2 bedrooms are narrow, one of them has no storage space. The bedding is still excellent. Too bad we couldn't enjoy the terrace because it was cold those days.

I have never had a more thoughtful, responsive host than Damien and Carolina. From the second I booked, they were attentive, helpful, kind, and prompt in answering any and all questions. Carolina met us at the door when we arrived, check in was smooth and easy-even though we arrived earlier than the check in time. So grateful. They gave fabulous restaurant recommendations, details about the various neighborhoods, and most impressive of all, decorated the apartment with massive flowers, banners, cake, and champagne for my daughter’s birthday. When we had questions regarding various household functions (heat, fridge), they responded IMMEDIATELY (within minutes). Five star service from start to finish. The apartment itself was spotless, beds comfy, and the rooftop terrace lovely for morning coffee and sunshine. Fully stocked kitchen, large living room, and 2 bathrooms were perfect for our family of 5 (with 3 teenagers!!) Thank you, Damien and Carolina for such a fantastic stay!

damien's apartment is the perfect place to visit Barcelona, we had a great stay, a great welcome with little touches. The apartment has a large balcony and a large private terrace. Close to all amenities, just below the building you will find two bakeries, several supermarkets, the metro (in 20 min you are at the beach and or the city centre of Barcelona), the Sagrada familia is 10 min walk from the accommodation. I recommend.

The place of Damian is clean and spacious. We were there with Christmas so we didn't make use of the terrace. I can only imagine how it would be if you were there in Spring or Summer! The apartment is nicely located, near a metro station and closely to the wonderful neighborhood Gracia. At arrival, Damian made sure there was a bottle of champagne in the fridge as a welcoming gesture. I would surely recommend his place!

We know this area well which is a very family friendly area away from the tourist traps with many good restaurants and bars The apartment was comfortable but does look a bit tired in places especially the terrace However the friendly easy check in and departure made up for this. If you want a good base in a great location this is the flat for you.

Perfect place to stay in Barcelona! We came to Barcelona to view the art and Gaudi architecture. This apartment is within walking distance to almost all of the Gaudi sites, and just 4 blocks from the Sagrada Familia Basilica. Everything you could need is within a block or two of the apartment, including 2 fitness centers, 3 pastry shoppes, 2 supermarkets, banks, good restaurants. the Eixample high end shopping distance is within a mile. the area is wonderful for walking with the broad boulevards. The apartment is a true 3 bedroom 2 bath, and would be comfortable for a family with kids or two couples or 2-3 friends traveling together. The decor is quite nice and the spaces are uncluttered. Two of the bedrooms have nice built-ins for storage. The living room is comfortable--stretched out on the sofa several times to read. And the terraces are terrific, esp the rooftop-like an extra room. The apartment faces the large courtyard and is very quiet. The building is truly wheelchair accessible with ramps in place where needed. Damian has prepared an excellent guide to Barcelona and can provide recommendations for most things in town. Communication was a breeze, as was arranging to check into the space early. We will stay here again!

We had a lovely time at the property. Location wise its so easy to get around to popular places via the metro or even walking! It was super easy to check in and Damien arranged for us to have an earlier check in which was very helpful. Damien's place in Rome is very nice! It was clean, had everything we needed and was very close to transportation and La Sagrada Familia. Not only are there 2 full baths there are two patios. The top floor patio is very large with room to relax and/or eat there. We had a few things that needed attention when we first arrived and we received quick responses and resolutions. I would highly recommend Damien's place.

Damien and his team respond quickly. We had a minor flood from one of the showers that was fixed the next day. They also cleaned up the terraces that were left dirty. They were nice to leave a gift for my wive’s birthday. The unit is small than in the photos. No closet in one of the rooms. The location is great.

The unit is as described. The master bedroom is reasonably spacious. The other two are small but you can see that from the pictures and they are perfectly fine with what would be called queen sized beds in the US in each room. The unit was clean and very quiet. The rooftop deck is wonderful, with lots of plants to give privacy and add ambience. The location is hard to beat. There is a fantastic cafe only a few doors down and many other restaurants, grocery and anything else a short walk away. The metro station is only half a block away and a fantastic way to get around Barcelona. I was concerned about pickpockets but we were careful and had no problems. I would gladly stay here again if I return to Barcelona.

Overall, a good stay. Really close to a metro stop. Check in was very smooth. Nice roof terrace although unfortunately too windy to use for us. Kitchen was kitted out well. Bedrooms a bit smaller than expected and the apartment was a bit tired in places e.g. marks on the walls, cracked glass etc. Also we had to bring one of the outside chairs in as there was only 4 chairs at the table in the lounge.

Apartment looked nice and was in a great location, wifi was very fast as well. During our stay there was some construction / loud noises and our second bathroom was not working, however Damien was great with communication and tried to make it right after the trip with a partial refund. What a wonderful apartment. The location is perfect, right next to a metro stop and there is an incredible market that is right around the corner. The kitchen has everything you need, we even used the roof top grill! The washing machine isn't in the unit itself, but there is one in the building. There's an elevator so that you don't have to climb 5 flights of stairs. We had a late check in and our flight was even delayed, but there was someone there for our check in and she gave us a very complete tour of the apartment and some recommendations for the area. It was one of the better check ins we've had for airbnb! Highly recommend this apartment!

Our stay was wonderful. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We felt totally at home. Damien and his assistant Karolina went out of their way to help and accommodate me. I needed some medical equipment and they were able to have it delivered. Amazing! The fridge was stocked, also some additional food items that we requested were there. Damien and Karolina were quick to respond to questions and just made our stay easy and enjoyable

Great apartment plenty of space a lovely big roof terrace, unfortunately we didn't have the weather (February) or time (to busy sightseeing) to make the most of it. The apartment location is great, short walk to Sagrada Familia and the metro station just metres from the apartment makes for easy access to all major sites of city. The 92 bus around the corner took us directly to Parc Guell. An excellent supermarket round the corner should you wish to self cater, and well equipped kitchen. Would thoroughly recommend this apartment and the host and his support team make for a hassle free stay.

Great location, a few steps away from Encants underground station with easy access to the old town and beech, and a 10 minutes walk to Sagrada Familia itself. Clean and tidy, equipped with all we needed for a few days, and the roof terrace was a great place to sit and wind down with a glass of wine to rest tired legs. Happy with the value, and would choose again. Would also recommend Donkey Walking Tours if new to Barcelona - a great way to get a feel of the lovely City

Damien and his team were excellent hosts, and the flat was the perfect fit for me and my two sisters! Prior to our arrival, they answered all of our questions and provided us with detailed suggestions on what to do/see/eat. I arranged the airport pick-up & drop-off through them and it was seamless! They were very professional and responsive to any questions or requests. Upon arrival, the dishwasher was not functioning properly. They arranged for a new dishwasher to be installed and helped us even further by printing off our tickets to the Barca game. The apartment was spacious enough for three adults, and we appreciated having our own bedrooms. We especially enjoyed the rooftop patio, which made for a great happy hour spot :) The apartment is located in a relatively quiet residential neighborhood, away from the crowds and tourists. It was an easy walk to both metro stations, one being just down the street from the flat. We made a routine of frequenting the local restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores, all within walking distance. Overall, were very pleased with our stay. Bravo, Damien and team!

A great apartment in a fantastic location. Damien was the perfect host from start to finish. From offering helpful services like organising a taxi from the airport; having his friendly assistant Karolina waiting at the door to show us around the apartment and hand over the keys; offering restaurant recommendations; and providing added extras such as toilet roll, tea, coffee, basic cooking essentials and a chilled bottle of Cava, he made us feel very welcome and made our holiday that little bit more enjoyable. The apartment is exactly as described and shown in the photos. It was very clean and linen and towels were provided. The third bedroom, although a double, is very small but this is clearly shown in the photos and was perfectly fine for our teenage son. We were a family of 4 and so it was great having 2 bathrooms between us, and there was plenty of hot water to go round. We used the heating in the evenings since we were there in February but we noticed that there was air conditioning which I'm sure would be useful in summer. The private terrace, which is accessed from the stairs in the lounge/kitchen, was the perfect space to either enjoy a relaxing breakfast or an evening glass of wine in the sunshine. It is very private, just as described, with sun loungers, umbrella and a table and chairs - an added bonus compared to similar apartments in the same location. We also used the balcony leading out from the lounge very frequently too, as although the views are only over the neighbouring apartments, it is a lovely place to enjoy the morning sun. The location was perfect. It was in a fairly residential area, within half a block of the Encants Metro station which allowed us to very easily explore the whole of the city. Also within half a block were a couple of bakeries and a Mercado. There were several restaurants to choose from within walking distance and the Sagrada Familia was only a 5 minute walk away. We only stayed for a few days but could have happily stayed for longer since the apartment felt as though it could easily have been made into a more permanent base given the washing machine, clothes drying area, cooking utensils, fast wifi etc. All in all, a great first experience of airbnb.

When we arrived at the address, they were waiting for us, although we did not meet Damien, the girl who looked after us gave us the keys and explained everything we needed about the apartment. The apartment is tastefully renovated and has a fabulous terrace, although the weather has not accompanied everything we would have liked and we have not been able to enjoy it well. The apartment has everything you could need and the kitchen is well equipped, it includes a dishwasher, which is a nice touch. The location of the apartment is also great, a five to ten minute walk from the Sagrada Familia, with metro and bus stops on the corners, you can reach any part of Barcelona right away. The apartment is in a residential area and has supermarkets everywhere, as well as restaurants, bakeries, etc.

Quiet apartment near Sagrada Familia away from La Rambla and other loud touristy areas, but easily accessible to the rest of Barcelona with the subway stop Encants which is right outside of the apartment. My family of four (all adults) had plenty of space with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and the host was extremely responsive and organized with helping us plan our stay. The car service to and from the apartment was extremely convenient, and we loved the restaurant suggestions in the guide information that was sent! We did not take advantage of the terrace since we were there in December, but it seems very lovely. Would definitely return to this apartment in the future!

Damien helped arrange taxi to and from the airport, which was lovely. However, it would have been good style if there was some water, possibly snacks and maybe a few flyers/recommendations as we arrived very late and everything was closed. I imagine the terrace could be lovely in the summer, but it wasn't so defty in the October weather, and it might have been a little more inviting/clean. We were six people and it was lovely with two bathrooms and three beds. However, we could have wished it was a little cleaner (for example, most of the handles in the kitchen were sticky) and wine glasses. Otherwise nice and quiet location, nice building and it was easy to get around to everything.

This apartment was great as were the hosts. The apartment is within walking distance to Sagrada Familia and several metro stations. The area is nice and very safe especially at night. The kitchen is well equipped. The only negatives we have (which would not keep us from returning) are that one of the bedrooms is very small and requires the double bed to be against the wall making it hard for some couples to get into the bed, one bedroom did not have a closet and one closet didn't have hanging space, also there were some maintenance issues such as the couch cushion being ripped upon arrival, lots of dust under the beds, and the walls needed some touching up. All in all, the hosts were great and the apartment was enjoyable which made our stay in barcelona even better.

I spent 3 nights at Damien's place together with a colleague. At least for 2 people the apartment is more than sufficient as you can use separate bath rooms, wardrobes etc. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need. Metro, cabs and rental bikes are nearby. The communication was simply great. Damien provides lots of useful Infos and also our delayed arrival in the middle of the night didn't cause difficulties. Highly recommended!

I had the best experience at Damien's. I was greeted with a very warm welcome and given a bottle of champagne as it was my birthday- this was such a lovely touch. The apartment itself is really stunning, neat and clean and very modern. It has a stunning roof top terrace from which we enjoyed the sun and drank our champagne with breakfast. Having the outdoor space at Damien's apartment made this apartment a great place to hang out with our friends while visiting Barcelona. There are plenty of amenities on the doorstep and it is very close to the Metro station to access all the main sights. Carolina met us at the apartment and was very helpful and accommodating as well as leaving us a bottle of fizz. We had a bit of trouble with the heating and cooling but Damien responded to emails immediately so the communication was excellent. Thanks!

Very nice welcome: from beginning to end. Everything is done to make you feel perfectly well... even after a long drive! The apartment is very cozy but the weather and our schedule did not allow us to enjoy the terrace. It's a shame because it's big and beautiful! The only small things to improve would be the holes on the couch cover to repair and shower head to change. Other than that, that's fine. The neighborhood is great, very porch of the sagrada familia... but a little far from the old town... but we who like to walk, we did everything on foot!

We stayed 5 days in Damien's apartment. The apartment is very nice and very well located (50 meters from the metro and a supermarket) in the city but quiet because it does not overlook the street. The visit to Barcelona is very convenient from this starting point to reach the various points of interest and visit. Access to the Sagrada Familia can very easily be done on foot (10 minutes). Damien and his team provide very good advice and any questions were able to find an appropriate response before and during the stay. The basic service of the apartment is very appreciable because it allows you to arrive immediately feeling at home. The apartment is on the top floor (with elevator elevator) with rooftop terrace which allows you to eat alfresco or enjoy the sunshine. A separate sleeping area from the day area includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We recommend this apartment for a successful trip to this beautiful city of Barcelona. Great apartment with all the facilities, close to the metro and supermarkets and a variety of restaurants. Convenient location, close to Sagrada Família. Even from the center, you can walk around Barcelona at night to the apartment in 30 minutes. The apartment has all the necessary necessary amenities, I liked that you can fry the barbecue. Three bedrooms , living and dining areas are suitable for both family and large groups. There is no single view from the windows, but quite quiet. The owner was able to respond quickly to the application and to host us during the time. I recommend!

We stayed in Barcelona with our children (13+17 years old) during the autumn holidays. We enjoyed it very much before arrival, the communication with the landlord. All important information was provided and inquired. On arrival there was a small problem, as the pre-ordered taxi did not come. However, the landlord's contact phone number was immediately reachable and so the problem could be resolved. The reception on site was friendly and informative, even a welcome sparkling wine was in the fridge. The apartment was clean and as described. Clean bathrooms, fresh linens, towels. The amenities are very comfortable from the iron, toaster to the microwave. In the kitchen you will find a gas stove. There was actually nothing missing. However, the pre-ordered taxi for the return trip came on time (travel time to the airport approx. 30 minutes). The apartment is 30m from the Encants metro station. Shopping for your daily needs is also around the corner. We would rent this place again.

All in all, a great experience all round. Damien has been very easy to deal with, replying promptly to emails before and during our trip and answering all our questions. The apartment was in a very convenient location, with both the metro on your doorstep as well as easy access to taxis when required. Inside it offered us everything we needed with a very well equipped kitchen, a comfortable lounge, three very comfortable beds, two hot and powerful showers and of course the lovely roof terrace! We felt very safe there and found it lovely and quiet at all times. The complementary water and bubbly was appreciated and added a nice welcoming touch. We were also lucky to be given an early check in which really helped make the most of our time in the city. There was a slight delay with our pick up from the airport and we had to wait ten minutes when we arrived at the apartment but this really was a minor issue that did not affect our break at all. In summary, we would return to this apartment and would recommend Damien and his team without hesitation. Thank you.

After the friendly welcome of Karolina, the key handover and the additional insider restaurant tips, we looked at the apartment. The kitchen is very well equipped.Plates of knives Forks Glasses of coffee tea, etc., still recommend putting the things in the dishwasher (tabs available) again. In the fridge are a champagne bottle, ice cubes and cooling batteries that are excellent for chilled beer on the beach. The apartment, on the whole, corresponded to the pictures as on the internet, whereby the barbecue area on the terrace was already quite old and worn. The terrace floor was not really clean and a chair was broken..the beds in the pictures look a little bigger, yet enough. The bathroom is modern with a shower of it a little small and the shower head for the body was leaking. Unfortunately, after we only reported the defects to the landlord towards the end of our stay, he was very understanding and regretted that we had not communicated it to him earlier because otherwise he would have repaired or cleaned the defects immediately. In general, the contact with the landlord was straightforward and quickly, which also left us a trustworthy impression. The location was good because there was a large supermarket around the corner and the subway stop is only a 3-minute walk away. Conclusion : This apartment is absolutely habitable and fair to the Spanish standards !

The place was as advertised, in a good location, close to the metro and groceries. Checking in was a little more complicated than anticipated and the place took longer than we hoped to clean so plan accordingly and ensure you request a couple of hours earlier than when you truly plan to arrive. Damien did help us out in the interim but it was difficult to deal with the change in out schedule and we didn't get a walkthrough due to the adjustments. Damien has a whole team available to help which can be good but it also makes it hard to know who is available at any point to solve any particular problem. It would be much better to have just one contact number that someone was responsive on immediately.

Great apartment in perfect location. Short cab to the beach and a 10 minute walk from Razzmatazz. Roof terrace made the holiday complete and all the rooms were clean and spacious. Carolina and Damien even agreed to an early check in and late check out. Only issue was the air-conditioning making a noise every hour or so but more than bearable for the quality of apartment. Will definitely be staying here again!

We were made very welcome and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Karolina greeted us with a warm and friendly smile and gave us a brief introduction to the facilities and also the location of the nearest metro. The apartment was spacious and very well equipped , three bedrooms and two bathrooms and a very modern kitchen area. Although we arrived in the middle of the night, we had warm welcome, - Cava waited for us in the fridge :). Everything was as expected, the flat looks like on the pictures. The amazing Sagrada Familia is really walking distance and the metro is not even 100m away from the apartmant. The flat was clean. We were in Barcelone in March, the weather was pretty cold and it was really positive that the flat had heating, which we could use. 4 of us stayed in the appartment and the size of the flat was just perfect for us. Despite our arrival in the evening, the check-in was perfect with our host... Good communication before our arrival! The apartment is very comfortable, modern and spacious... It does not overlook the street and therefore not too much street noise... we usually live in the countryside! It's really close to the subway, which is very convenient. We did not take advantage of the terrace given the season despite beautiful weather, I think on sunny days it must be very nice! We will be back to check this soon.... We were heartily welcomed by Maria who oriented us to the apartment, neighborhood and made some recommendations for food. The apartent is as lovely as it looks and very well located in a nice residential one block from the metro (wich connects you to all major lines throughout the city), a major supermarket, Mr. Bread which seemed to be open from dawn to dusk [Cappucci & breakfast sandwich 3.10 EU], and the Sagrada Familia. We were puzzled by the seeming lack of pots and pans but found them behind cabinet doors that had (openable) velcro locks. Communcation in regard to a couple of issues was good, although always not instantaneous, leading to some confusion about what to do with the key on departure. I highly recommend using their drivers who reliably picked us up at God-awful hours. When we were inadvertently locked into the building at 4:00 AM, the driver was able to reach the team, get another set of keys and let us out. This was the only harrowing moment, but it was handily resolved. I would heartily recommend this apartment and the Damien Harris team.

The apartment was exactly how we expected, even better. It was lovely, very clean and well equipped. 4 of us stayed which was comfortable but I can imagine that with 6 adults, it might have been a bit uncomfortable as the third double bedroom is small. The location is superb and the neighbourhood is quiet. It is less than a minute walk to the Metro which we found to be safe, clean and easy to use. It is also a 10 minute walk to Sagrada Familia which was useful for getting the tour bus. The best thing about the apartment was the outside space, there is a large balcony off the living room but the terrace was great. We had 2 barbecues in the 4 nights we were there. This was great as it was nice to relax after spending hours sightseeing. There are loads of shops in the local area to get food and we even made use of the fresh limes growing on the terrace for marinades. Overall a memorable experience in Barcelona all thanks to Damien's apartment.

Our experience with the host and his team has been exceptional. Any requests we had were answered promptly. We arranged transport to and from the airport and also to the Barcelona Grand Prix, the service we received was excellent. The apartment was as expected, comfortable home living, beautiful roof terrace plus an additional balcony if you didn't want to venture upstairs. We were a party of three and the living accommodation for us was absolutely fine but the 2nd and 3rd bedroom are quite small. The location for us was okay we made full use of the metro at the end of the road. The Familia Sagrada was just a short walk away. We all enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
