Stay at "The Pink House" in the "Serenity Now" private entrance suite (1bd/1ba, 2 of 2 suites) located in one of St Croix's most distinguished neighborhoods "Miss Bea Haven/Green Cay. This property boasts some of the most spectacular ocean views of Pull Point & Buck Island. We are told our pictures do not do our rentals justice. It's a beautiful property. Relax by the pool, take a stroll down to the beach, a stay with us, will not disappoint!
"Blue Dream" is suite 2 of 2. Both are available to rent on Airbnb, if one is booked, please check availability of the other suite. You may also rent both for 4 guests via their individual booking sites on Airbnb. Search for “blue dreamstcroixusvi” or “serenitynowstcroixusvi”.
Our location is quiet & peaceful, the ocean breezes are constant so air conditioning is not necessary but each suite does have its own split air conditioning unit for your comfort along with ceiling fans.
These suites are better suited for adult couples. Only 2 people per suite. The property is not "child proofed" for toddlers or younger children. Older children with 1 parent will be considered if you are ok sharing a bed and providing continuous supervision at the pool. Please reach out to the owner if you want to bring an older child 12+.
Each suite has a 7cu ft convertible Fridge so much bigger than a mini fridge (there is no freezer), microwave, Keurig Coffee maker with a few coffee pods to get you started. There is a toaster, as well as silverware, plates, cups, glasses, stemless wine glasses, can opener, bottle opener, wine opener, ice bucket and cutting board in your suite. If there is anything else you need, please just let us know & we most likely will be able to accommodate you! There is a beautiful outdoor dining table & chairs in the poolside gazebo. Typical hotel amenities are found in each suite. Bath towels, beach towels, basic toiletries, blow dryer, soap, iron/ironing board, clothes drying rack. You will find a beautiful Tommy Bahama Duvet & luxury cotton linens from NY on your beds. The rooms are beautifully decorated and each has a small desk if you need to check in on your work email while on vacation!
We have a Golden doodle named Watson who roams around the property who loves to play & swim! This is a must love dogs property. His alias is Scuba Watz. See him in the photos.
Note: This is a non-smoking property. If you are a smoker, our place is not a good fit for you. We do not allow smoking inside or outside. We have breezes, tall grasses around our area & ashes/embers can get away from people easily & ignite things. We also do not want smoke covered clothing/items in the suites.
We are always available to chat in person when you arrive or on the phone, so please do not hesitate to ask questions and reach out. We are also happy to give recommendations for excursions, self or guided tours, and share places to explore.
Our objective as hosts is to ensure that you have an unforgettable Caribbean experience that inspires you to return to the island time and time again, as well as growing the same love for St Croix and the Caribbean that we have!
Detailed directions will be provide upon booking. If you come in during the evening hours we like to meet our guests at the airport & have them follow us to The Pink House. We can also make a grocery store stop on the way if you want to pick up a few things the evening you arrive. Most restaurants are closed around 9pm on the island so when you arrive later in the evening, there are not a lot of options to get food. Parking is provided in a pullout area inside the property next to the path down to the suites.
Chris & I are from Boulder, CO and we have been traveling to the Caribbean for the past 28 years. We dreamed of owning a place in the Caribbean for many years. We finally found the perfect location in St Croix & bought our little slice of paradise to share with you, our friends & our family. We also have a goldendoodle named Watson (Scuba Watz) who loves to greet our guests and is on the property when we are.

The space
"Serenity Now" is suite 1 of 2 - 1 bd 1 ba private entrance on the garden/pool deck level of “The Big Pink House”. The suites open out to the large pool deck and poolside gazebo. Both have an ocean view from the room and are steps away from the tranquil heated swimming pool where you can delight in a swim 24 hrs. a day. No pool curfew here! We are one of the few pools on the island that has a solar cover with a reel & that includes the hotels. Surprisingly, swimming pools get chilly here in mid-Nov-March when our nights are in the 70's. You will want to rent a vehicle while you are in St Croix. There is so much to see and do on the island and driving is the only way to get around. Uber/Lyft & other rideshare services are not available. Taxi service is not readily available. Public transport is limited to just a few roads. Please note we drive on the left side of the road in St. Croix (all of the US Virgin Islands do this) so be prepared for that. It is quite easy to adjust, just keep telling yourself “stay on the left”!Detailed directions will be provide upon booking. These suites were previously called " Charlies Cay at Green Cay which is now called "Serenity Now" suite & "Charlies Cove at Green Cay which is now "Blue Dream" suite If you have stayed here with the previous owner, please check us out & come for a visit! Additional rules
We want you to be cool at night while you sleep but we respectfully ask that you do not run the AC all day long while you are out, by the pool, exploring, working outside of your suite or when you are at dinner in the evening. Please feel free to leave the fan on when you are gone. The rooms cool down so quickly it is not necessary to leave it on. You should set the temp to 74-76 degrees so you do not freeze your unit up. You will be without AC if it stops working. Our system monitors all of our split AC temperatures on the property as part of our system safety protocol. The reason for all this AC talk is that electricity in the US Virgin Islands is 5 times higher than off-island. $10 on the mainland for electricity is $50 here for the same kWh's. Managing AC use is key to keeping our rental prices down for our guests. If you are using AC during the day when you are gone, at the pool, etc. or with windows/doors open you will be charged extra for the electricity you have used. So far we have had no one abuse this and no need to charge anyone extra for anything. We are hopeful it will stay that way! Please remember to conserve water. Our water on the island comes from cisterns that are filled by the rain so we always need to be mindful of our water use so we do not run out of water. This is an island so we do not have "city" water! Finally, if you have an accident on the linen's in your room, (blood, spills like wine, makeup, staining food, etc.) please let us know immediately. We can change linens out and stain treat. Much better to let us know instead of waiting until it's too late to fix!
