The space
The spaceLiving: An open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with comfortable seating, a sound system and a flat-screen TV.
Fully equipped kitchen: Fridge-freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Nespresso machine, plus cookware and basics (oil, salt, pepper).
Bedrooms: Three bedrooms over two floors, with fresh linen, extra pillows and blankets, wardrobe space and blackout blinds. A cot and a travel cot are available.
Bathrooms: Three bathrooms, one with a bathtub. Towels, shampoo and shower gel are provided.
Outdoors: A large terrace with sea and mountain views and an outdoor dining area, great for sunsets. You can also use the communal pool and landscaped gardens.
Comfort: Air conditioning and heating, a dedicated workspace, high-speed Wi-Fi with an Ethernet connection, and a washer, dryer and drying rack.
Families: High chair, changing table, children's books, toys and dinnerware, and board games.
Safety: Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit.
Private entrance, free on-site parking and self check-in. Luggage drop-off is possible for early arrivals or late departures.
The area
La Mairena sits 400 m above sea level in a UNESCO biosphere reserve. It's quiet and green, with cork oak forest and walking trails where you may spot foxes, deer and wild boar. Shops and restaurants are just down the hill in Elviria.
Golf: El Soto de Marbella, in the village, has a 9-hole practice course, a gym and a bar-restaurant with live music that welcomes non-residents. La Cala (three courses), Santa María and Greenlife are all within about 10 minutes' drive.
Tennis: The Hofsaess Tennis Academy, which has coached Steffi Graf and Sánchez Vicario, is a 5-minute walk away. It has clay and hard courts, a gym and a café, from €10.
Kudu Bar & Restaurant: Next to the academy and open all year. It's a relaxed place with good-value food and a terrace overlooking the valley.

Our stay with Liesbeth was absolutely brilliant! The apartment is spotlessly clean, exactly as described and perfectly equipped – there were even beach and pool accessories, as well as plenty of towels and bed linen. The absolute highlight is the magnificent view: on one side the mountains, on the other the sea! Elisabeth is a fantastic host; she was super quick to respond and extremely helpful. That's how Airbnb is fun. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

The perfect host! So accommodating, despite our chaotic booking, with friends cancelling on us. The apartment is huge and beautifully situated. Everything you need is there. The complex is stunning. It’s so quiet and peaceful; and the views, of the mountains and the sea, are breathtaking. The pool is perfect and not busy at all. I spent almost an entire day there without another person. The little supermarket is perfect for bits and pieces, but much more expensive than Carrefore etc. There is a decent restaurant and wonderful neighbours. Could not recommend this enough. Go! And enjoy!!

During the stay
We have some house rules: we are in a quiet building. Please respect the neighbours. Keep the noise down, especially at night after 10 pm (22:00). We do not accept parties or events in the apartment and it’s forbidden to exceed the maximum number of people allowed. Although we love our furry friends, we do not accept pets in our apartment. It is forbidden to smoke in the apartment. You can smoke outside on the terraces, but please empty the ashtray to make sure your ashes won’t fly away (it can be windy). Please keep the accommodation clean and tidy and in the same conditions as upon arrival. Please turn off the lights and heating when you go outside.

Property Manager Terms
- For a full refund, the guest must cancel at least 5 full days before the listing’s local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email).
- If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, 50% of the nightly rate for the nights not spent 24 hours after the cancellation occurs are refunded.
- Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
- Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you’re charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
- A reservation is officially cancelled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.
