Misleading listing: - Main page says "entire cottage" but it's only the upper unit, with another group in the lower (specified in description) - The "private" hot tub is shared - The "pool table" is a mini-pool outside while the ping-pong table sits on uneven ground; both are shared with four other cottages. Says 2-night minimum but after booking I was told long weekends require 3 nights. I booked elsewhere, then the owner accepted my original 2-night booking without communication forcing me to cancel the other reservation. Unreasonable check-in at 4 PM and check-out 9 AM. There was excessive communication outside Airbnb, including a one-sided rental agreement, multiple forms, and repeated paid upsells. The location and lake are great, and we still enjoyed our stay. Would be good at 60% of the price. But misleading listing, poor value, and constant upselling made it feel like the owner was trying to extract as much money as possible while presenting the property in a misleading way

We stayed at Marla’s place to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and we had an amazing time! The house is very comfortable, clean, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything we needed. There are so many activities available right at the property that we barely had to leave. We enjoyed kayaking, biking, tennis, ping pong, and even played pool. Marla also offers boat rentals, and on our last day we rented a pontoon boat to explore Bob’s Lake—it was absolutely awesome and the perfect way to end our trip! The hot tub was always ready for us, which made our evenings even more relaxing. The property managers were also incredibly friendly, responsive, and always available whenever we needed anything. The only thing to keep in mind is that this is the upper-level unit, so if you’re planning to have a louder gathering with friends, the guests staying downstairs may be disturbed by the noise. I booked this cottage for myself, my son, my mom and sisters. It was perfect for our needs. The lake is gorgeous, accessible and very nice to swim in. The cottage comes with lots of water activities included (kayak, canoe, paddle boat). It’s also very close to Westport (20 min) which makes a fun little half day trip :) We did it, and it was nice to get out for a bit. The cottage is part of a larger cottage resort. They have different accommodations for large groups which is something I’ll look into the future. The larger house on the property has an even nicer private beach!

Awesome, awesome, awesome location! The lake is fairly quiet and secluded. The entire time we felt like we had a private lake to ourselves. The accommodations also provide access to some great water toys (canoe, kayak, and paddle boards). The space was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I would recommend this spot to anyone who’s looking for a nice cottage getaway!

Marla was exceptionally accommodating and made our stay easy and enjoyable. Her cottage was beautiful and relaxing with the fireplace and hot tub as an added bonus! The view of the lake was incredible and I can't wait to come back and visit in the summer time. Definitely recommend staying here at any time of the year! Thanks Marla!

Marla and Larry were fantastic hosts! From check in to check out we wanted for nothing. The cottage was the perfect combination of luxury and cottage life. Kitchen was well equipped for fabulous meals and don't forget to bring the cream to finish those meals off with your own homemade ice cream!!! (Ice cream machines in the units) The abundance of lake toys (kayaks, canoes and paddle boards) and life jackets make for a great day of endless entertainment by the lake. As well as a wonderful park/treehouse that is sure to have even the big kids wondering...can I???lol Bobs Lake Cottages is the perfect place to bring a young family. And very pet friendly! Can't wait to be back!

All in all everything was great but, we did have a few issues that our group was not impressed with! I will start with the good. The place itself was very nice, clean, and the a/c works great! The pictures are correct. The balcony and bbq are a great combo if you get the upstairs like we did. The water was great and the firepit was ok, needs to be bigger. The bad. So I hope every morning bright and early that you enjoy being woken up by the ridiculous yappy dog of the owners. The last thing we wanted to hear on our vacation! We both brought our dogs and not once did they sit out side and do stuff like that. So we rented a boat from Larry which was cool and all, but right when we went to take it out we were met by another cottage renter that had also booked the same boat. Now poor Larry and his other buddy have no idea what's going on because someone else took off and didn't leave the books. makes sense right? No! Not at all. So after a half hour of dicking around and 2 boats later, I had to bail out the 'new boat', fun times! I'll leave it at! All in all nice place, but piss poor management!!

We stayed in the top unit of the duplex on Bob's Lake and it was absolutely beautiful! The view of the lake was incredible, the cottage very comfortable and well equipped. Bob's Lake was perfect for us - a beautiful, clean lake that was perfect for some family quality time swimming, kayaking and canoeing. We even saw some deer! We definitely hope to be back!

The cottage is so beautiful and surpassed all of our already high expectations! I cannot understate how fabulous they look—both units are superbly-finished, lack nothing in terms of amenities or comfort, and are punctuated by an incredible view and serene environment. We will be back!

Our stay at Morter's on Bob's Lake was great! Beautiful view of the lake from the huge front windows, relaxing atmosphere inside the cottage and out and Marla was an extremely friendly & helpful host. We'd definitely come back again!
