Kitchen is clean and bright with everything you need to prepare meals in. Fridge, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher etc. Live edge dining table seats 6-8
Living Area has gas fireplace with sweeping views of the the lake. TV with Firestick including Netflix/Primevideo. You can also plug your device in. There is good WIFI. Even on a rainy day it's so cool to watch a movie and the storm! Have I mentioned that this lakefront property now features air conditioning? Despite that, I still adore the incredible breeze from the Lake.
Downstairs has a Yamaha upright piano!

Wood fired cedar barrel sauna with Panoramic dome window overlooking the ravine. This is truly special what a treat.
And outside shower has rainfall showerhead and separate light
Stone pathways lead to outside living area overlooking the lake. Here you have your choice of Propane BBQ or a charcoal BBQ to create your family favorites. Dine together at the teak dining table overlooking the lake. OR chat together on the comfy outdoor living area complete with day bed. OR take a nap in the hammock with ravine and lake views.
Upstairs deck is the perfect place for a coffee and bird watch. My favorite spot in winter. You truly are a part of Nature!
Spend the day at the beach - Approx. 45 stairs lead down to the beach where we've provided a Lake Mat, kayaks or paddleboard or relax in the beach chairs provided.
Max 2 well behaved pets
Parking is limited to 3 vehicles
Linens are available for $20/per person. This includes Tea Towels, Dishcloths, Sheets & Pillowcases, Bathroom towels, Hand towels and Face cloths. Does not include Beach Towels.
All Guests are required to sign a separate cottage rental agreement and provide government issued photo id. Including names and ages of all guests who will occupy the property. Primary renter must be over 25 photo id is required. Only those occupants listed on the Rental Agreement, are allowed to occupy the property. A separate security deposit of $500 is required. Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. Max occupancy at all times is 5, violation will result in removal without refund. This property is equipped with a monitoring device (including noise, temp & wifi connections & camera's outside at the entrance)
Our Winter Weather Cancellation Policy is designed with your safety in mind. If winter conditions make travel unsafe or if there are road closures preventing you from reaching the cottage, you have flexible options:

We keep our cleaning fees low by giving you the option to bring your own linens—or, for $20/person. you can rent ours! This includes sheets, pillowcases, bathroom towels, and more, all freshly laundered and ready for you. (Just remember to bring your own beach towels!)

Hide Away is a spectacular cottage with all the conveniences of home. It’s like living in a beautiful treehouse. The view onto the ever changing lake is always fascinating. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to enjoy all of the outdoor spaces but we were warm and cozy inside by the fireplace. It must be amazing in the summer! Our dog enjoyed his walks along the quiet road. It’s such a pretty and peaceful neighborhood. And wow…did we sleep well in that wonderful bed. Simply loved our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage in Bayfield, Ontario. Jennifer was an amazing host, friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. We’d happily recommend both her and her lovely place. The cottage is full of charm, with thoughtful touches that make it feel warm and inviting, a true retreat from everyday life. Set on a private, wooded lot with beautiful views of Lake Huron, it’s a perfect spot to relax and recharge. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable, each with its own calming feel. Two offer lovely lake views, while the third has views of the trees, with cozy forest-themed wallpaper. We all had some of the best sleeps of the trip. Water access involves a bit of a climb, but the stairs are solid. There’s also a great bonfire area and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the view. Just a short 9-minute drive to Bayfield. A peaceful getaway we’d gladly return to.
