The worst Airbnb experience I've had, and I travel all year round... none of the photos match the apartment. Accommodation too dirty, even very dirty, bath mat dirty from several guests and smelling of mould, leftover used toilet paper in the toilet and the toilet bin. No Wi-Fi despite the description. Shower floor in a poor state of repair. No response from the host after my comments... And finally, although I'm used to it, this is the first time I've been asked for a deposit of 200 euros. I am eagerly awaiting the return of my deposit and my refund!

The stay was good, all the facilities work, are clean and are comfortable (shower, kitchen, bed, etc). It is in a very convenient place in the old village, however the main downside is that it is located opposite a primary school so it is noisy in the morning/ day from children and parents standing outside the building. The host was fast to respond, making arriving and leaving smooth and easy. I recommend anyone staying for a few nights!

Following my booking, I was surprised to have to pay the deposit outside of Airbnb. Despite this, my check-in went well. The ground-floor accommodation is located near a school (considerable noise), and both windows of the accommodation overlook the street, which can be a nuisance when trying to ventilate the room. The mattress could do with being replaced so that you no longer feel the vertical bar of the bed. Despite everything, I was able to rest in this simple but much-appreciated accommodation.

ATTENTION! I booked this accommodation at the last minute, without fully realising that a €200 deposit was required in addition to the advertised accommodation price (which I paid). Within one minute of making my payment, I contacted the host to explain my situation and request a prompt cancellation, as I was unable to afford this deposit. Unfortunately, the response was very curt, unsympathetic and focused solely on the demand for payment, with no attempt to find a solution or offer a goodwill gesture. I thought it was a hoax, a scam, so I contacted the website’s support team. As I was unable to pay the deposit, I was ultimately unable to access the accommodation (night paid in full) and I did not receive a refund. This experience was very trying, and I was shocked by my interactions with Marc. I would therefore advise future guests to read all the terms and conditions carefully before booking and also to take note of the previous REVIEWS, which are VERY WORRYING. BEWARE!!

Communication with the host was particularly difficult. She was very unpleasant in her messages, very unsympathetic and very unaccommodating. Examples include: she asked me to check out an hour earlier (to make up for my late arrival, which was after midnight, even though I had informed her several hours in advance of my late arrival). £200 deposit, for which I am still awaiting a response!! Small empty shower gel bottles in the bathroom. I never leave negative reviews, but I have to say I was quite taken aback by the situation.

Catastrophic communication, multiple reminders to pay a deposit that is indicated in small print and at the very end of the ad, and for which the payment instructions are excessively confusing ("prepayment" vs. "payment", effective debit vs. deferred payment, it would be necessary to know; moreover no transparency on the procedure: the internet link on the payment page, supposed to refer to the hosts' site, is a dead link) I preferred to cancel, even if it was too late to be refunded.

The person who manages the accommodation asked us for a security deposit of €200 to be paid outside the Airbnb application, before any access to the accommodation. The listing didn't look like the photos. There was hair. The bedding was dirty. The toilet too. We had to stay one night because there was no other accommodation option, but we asked for a refund for the other nights. The Airbnb team was great and refunded us very quickly because they noticed on the photos taken when we arrived at the place that the accommodation was dirty and did not match the photos in the ad. On the other hand, to date, the security deposit has not been returned to me by the person managing this place. I find this unacceptable: it's so easy -> you don't maintain the accommodation, you don't do the cleaning, but you still earn €200 per night with the security deposit. Small definition: the security deposit is a sum that must be returned to the tenant

A fuir!!! L'hôte a essayé de m'arnaquer à plusieurs reprises. J'ai réalisé une réservation un mardi les premières réponses sont arrivées vendredi, j'avais pris ce logement par dépit compte tenu de tous les avis négatifs mais il était dans mon budget. Résultat, 4h a passé avec l'assistance Airbnb pour qu'elle annule enfin ma réservation. Si je ne l'avais pas fait je me serais retrouvé à la rue sans logement alors que j'avais payé !! Le logement est non remboursable elle a donc essayé tant bien que mal de me faire annuler pour que les 300€ (1/3 de mon salaire d'alternant) lui soit donner sans même que je mette un pied dans le logement. Il faut savoir que j'ai relancé l'hôte à plusieurs reprises, j'ai essayé de l'appeler aucunes réponses. Si l'assistance n'avait pas été là pour m'aider à me reloger j'aurais été à la rue avec des hôtes faisant tout pour ne pas me rembourser. Une journée cauchemardesque que j'aurais préféré éviter et que je vous conseille donc d'éviter.

Be careful, this host is a fraud. She hardly ever responds to any messages, does not arrange or take into account any of your From the moment the accommodation is booked, she talks to you about a payment to be made on a third-party site of €250, then changes the amount and asks you for €200. It does not address any other subject except the one where you have to send €200 via a third-party site. No trust and I understood that I was not the only one who had been taken advantage of. I was lucky enough to get the reservation cancelled by Airbnb after hours of negotiation. Obviously, the host refuses any refund, even a partial one. At your own risk if you book with this person, but I assure you a guaranteed headache... and potentially a loss of your entire reservation.

Run away! I booked the accommodation for a 52-year-old who doesn't have an Airbnb account, the host accepts and asks who the accommodation is for, I explain that it's for a friend. From there, she asked me for a security deposit of €200 via an app outside the Airbnb platform (which is illegal) that I paid because for me it was normal. Once paid and in front of the accommodation, the host no longer responded and did not want to give us access to the accommodation because the reservation was not in my friend's name. I suggested several solutions such as cancelling and rebooking on behalf of my friend but the host did not respond to my messages by reading them at 11:30 p.m. In addition, no refund return email for the €200 security deposit. A brief scam to avoid a complaint with Airbnb has been filed and if my security deposit is not refunded, a complaint with the police will also be filed.

⚠️BED BUGS⚠️ -We found bed bugs the morning after we arrived. After some research, we realized that another guest had already reported the issue in January 2025, which was not resolved. Be CAREFUL the apartment is always available for rent when it did not have time to be disinfected, knowing that hosts have several apartments, often when one is touched, the others are too!! -Marc is a responsive and pleasant co-host which is not the case for Emma who was at the limit of correctness in our exchanges by message, politeness was also forgotten. -THEAPARTMENT was dirty! The red floor stains the clothes, hair in the toilet and when you turned on the kitchen faucet, the sewers came up in the shower, the total! + The smells - Lots of noise, the walls are made of paper, I think. -One positive point the location, close to everything in the city center.

The accommodation is very well located, well decorated the host was very welcoming and friendly , flexible on schedules he offered to stay an hour more, the entrance is not self-contained but it is accommodating. It's well heated and quite large. However, you have to read the terms and conditions before! A "security deposit" of €200 is required (verification on the bank card). The wifi doesn't work great. Also the bathroom was not clean, hair in the shower, on the toilet and on the sink. But the rest was ok.

They first texted us about this security deposit, to ask us for our email address, so they could then send us the link to this deposit… weird. Why not request it directly on airbnb? On the pretext that the security deposit was not sent a few hours before our arrival, they decided not to receive us. They say they have “relaunched us many times about it” when the only reminder message was sent the same day we arrived. When we were ready to send the money for the security deposit, it was “too late.” They didn't even have the courtesy to cancel the trip for us to be refunded. I tried to call them to discuss, neither of them responded… unfortunate.

I appreciate the availability of the host Marc in having me check in at a different time than indicated and I'm sorry to have bothered the host and violated the rules by bringing a guest (even if a very short period of time 5 minutes). However, I have to communicate that the house did not match the photos uploaded (I think about a dozen photos only 2-3 were actually of the house) the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom looked significantly different as did the furniture. In addition, the apartment, although tidy, seemed little used and a little dusty, I noticed a few hairs in the bathroom and a smell that was not quite clean in the same bathroom. Overall I felt pretty good, albeit with these inconveniences and the amount was in the norm.

From the first messages I received from Marc, the co-host, I wanted to cancel my reservation! Unfortunately, this was not possible without losing the entire stay. Arriving on site, the great disappointment, for 95% the presentation photos did not correspond to the rented property.( I took photos that I sent to AirBnB ) A room of some kind, not very clean, a stained duvet cover, and especially a bathroom that dates back to another time with a smell of sewage coming up and a flush that runs all night. In short, I do not recommend.

We booked an apartment according to the photos on the reservation but surprise, this is not the apartment we had seen! When we arrived at the apartment we wondered if we were really expected or not. Dirty apartment, trash can not emptied, dust everywhere above and below furniture, dishes put away dirty...! I took a few photos but keep them for hosts!! It was nothing like the photos. I was told I was “upgraded” to a room with a better kitchen but this should have been communicated prior to arrival and I really would not call it an upgrade. I left without 30 mins of arriving to go to a new airbnb. Communication with hosts was unhelpful and I had to contact Airbnb support. The place is fine, but confirm what room you will be getting. The apartment is good and the host is responsive But presence of bed bugs during my visit the week of 11/18/2024. I wouldn't have written this review if the host had involved a professional. To my surprise, the apartment is still rented 2 days after which confirms that nothing has been done. Be careful if you arrive at this place I have several photos of bed bugs and I have had many unpleasant bites not to mention the return home where we had to take all the precautions... In short, be careful and ask the host if necessary has been done, which does not seem to be the case but I ask to be contradicted for the good and health of all guests. The apartment otherwise is fine.

Great hosts, everything was perfect and they were rrally helpful. Accommodation was far better than we expected also. The best place to stay when you consider how nice it was, the area, and the price.

Perfect location to stay in the heart of Aix. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. There was extensive roadworks underway (and I imagine will be underway for several more months) but it was not an issue for us as we had very minimal luggage and the working noise did not start until after 9am and the apartment is quite sound proof. But could be an issue if you have big luggage/pram/mobility issues etc. We had an excellent time - thanks Emma!

Marc, Emma's friend pretended not to understand my claim from day one I realized that the bathroom doesn't match the one in the photos Shower with very narrow square catcher as in first price hotels While the listing shows a spacious bathroom with rectangular tray and wide vanity. No vanity but shabby handwasher The host pretended not to understand my questions These people rent multiple studios and highlight photos of a high-end studio, with the rest of the studios not worth what we're supposed to pay Taking people for cons is the motto in these people I have been renting Airbnb for 2 years or 3 times a month This is the first time I'm so disappointed

A refreshing stay The hosting was great! The apartment is ideal for staying in town given its location. The place is quiet especially thanks to the inner courtyard which is lovely. Everything is super clean. Recommended;)
