The apartment itself is nice but too many minor issues that made our experience poor. Dirty glasses and cutlery on arrival, some windows not sealed making it very chilly at times, high humidity with even a mushroom frowing on the bathroom floor. Wifi connection was poor with regular cuts which affected streaming as well.. and finally windows being changed on the floor above with drilling and hammering starting at 8.30 on weekdays. It was written that a scaffolding was present but not that there would be such a high level of noise. Responses from the staff were quick but not helpful for the noise... just 'really sorry', which I found a little light. Other rentals in Brighton have been much better with similar pricing.

The host at My Getaway's was very responsive, the main issue I had was that only one key was given for 6 people. It required quite a lot of admin to make sure everyone managed to get in the flat to sleep at the end of the night, which we did manage. Location is ok, very easily walkable to centre of Brighton. Apartment was ok, the sofa beds left something to be desired. Worth it for one night on the town.

We had a lovely stay. Lovely spacious flat, amazing value, central location and host is very reactive. Be aware that you will be asked to pay 500 pound for damage deposit which then gets refunded if no issue, or pay a 50 pound non refundable insurance before arrival.

Lovely apartment and even has a great sea view! Very good location as it is so close to the beach and all the shops in Brighton. The host was very helpful and even let us check in 30 minutes early. Such an amazing place for what we needed and it was also more spacious than what it appears like in the photos. My only criticism of the stay was that the double bunk bed was quite short for adults and we had to pay a £500 refundable deposit - which hopefully we should get back!! Would stay again :)

my friends and i stayed at this airbnb for 3 days while in brighton, we had a great time in the airon! as it was very clean, very close to the beach and was able to comfortably sleep our group. Definitely worth booking if you're looking for somewhere to stay in brighton

The flat is located well for walking around Brighton and close to the seafront however the neighborhood isn't the best and not the safest at night. The main entrance to the building has a lock and the flat has an intercom system however this is pointless as the lock is broken and anyone could walk in. The flat itself is in need of a deep clean, the surfaces felt grubby, blinds have very thick dust on them, kettle needs descaling, shower curtain was dirty and the table while has been wiped has dirt in the groves. Windows also in need of attention, inside and out. When we arrived the flat also smelt of smoke which was reported but as it was hot we had the windows open and it soon aired. We had 2 fans supplied however a third is needed as we were a group of 7, sleeping in the 2 bedrooms and the living room. Communication was good and flat is easy to find, parked 5 minutes walk away. Overall it is an okay place to stay and it just needs some extra attention to be good.

Being run by a company meant that there was always someone able to answer any questions really quickly. There was a slight hiccup with check in as they had sent the message to say it was ready however when we arrived the keys weren’t in the key locker. They responded immediately to say they’d contact the cleaners and it turned out they were runnning behind and were still in the property so it was all dealt with super quick. You do have to pay a deposit or pay an insurance before you can get the key code which we’ve yet to hear about when this will be returned but again this was an easy process.

The price was okay, which I do not agree is that there is a “security” fee, which either you pay £50 and it is non-refundable, or they retain £500 of you and only return after 5 days of checkout, forcing the guest to pay that fee of 50 because it is more feasible. Fully used in bad faith, apart from this and the institutions totally unclear about where the location of the apartment is and the delay to respond. All went well, a spacious, well furnished apartment with a beautiful view, close to bars, restaurants, bakeries and markets

The location was good because it was near to the sea front however the area wasn’t great. People smoking drugs outside. The apartment was generally fairly clean but the kitchen utensils still had food on them, the windows had black mould so it had a damp smell. We had to tell the neighbour to keep the noise down because my daughter couldn’t sleep and this was 11.15pm. I just think for that kind of money, I expected more so a little disappointed

The place was wonderful, gorgeous location so walkable to everything around and we had an overall excellent experience. The host was very communicative, sometimes slightly overbearingly so aha There was some slight confused about being allowed late check out which we discovered was no longer approved on the morning of which was a little stressful but no big deal! There is also an extra deposit you have to pay outside the air bnb app which was clear upon booking which we were not particularly comfortable with. You either have to pay and no refundable £50 or £500 which would be given back at an undisclosed time if no damages. Overall a lovely place to stay and no complaints about the property itself but not sure if we would use the my getaways company again.

Fantastic and lovely space with fabulous facilities. Yes it does sleep 8 but I wouldn’t say one of those members would have slept comfortably as it’s a reclining solo chair which recline to a 180 angle. Other than that the space was fantastic and comfortable.

Property was pretty perfect location, easy to find and easy self check in. Parking is an absolute pain, we had to park 20 min walk away and cost £18 a day. ( This is a Brighton problem not a property problem) We booked for 8 people but in reality this property couldn’t sleep 8 people, the final bed was in poor condition and even went into a hump so your head and feet laid below your hips. The two ‘Single beds’ were basically children’s beds. And the bunk beds also essentially children’s beds. Group of lads 25-35 so we made do but not great if you actually wanted to sleep.

Smooth visit. Property as described and a good place for a small group of us to visit Brighton. Close and easy walk to the sea. Small faff with extra fees outside of Airbnb (£500 deposit or £50 deposit waiver), but it was doable.

Property was for 8 people. Have to say that this is really a 6 person property. The single sofa bed in the bedroom is almost unusable and so painful to sleep on. The sofa bed in the lounge, is probably a small double in size, and is a struggle to fit two people on. There was only one single key offered, for 8 adults which was quite inconsiderate to the stay. The property has a nice feel and decor to it, both bathrooms and lounge are cute - however there were signs of mould on the ceiling in main bathroom near extractor fan. Location is fine, but just has some noisy residents within the block on our stay. If the host had included images of the sofa beds open, I would not have picked this property as it really does not work for 8 people.

This place felt very unsafe, it is not a nice area. The windows had mould around them, the smell is terrible! The bedrooms don’t have good blinds so it’s very hard to sleep. And there is no view just derelict buildings. We spent one night here and had to leave. It is in no way suitable for children. Parking is very hard, really your only option is to pay £18 a day down the road (my car got damaged there so park at your own risk). My Getaways did responded quickly but that is the only good thing I can say about this experience!

Can’t fault the size of the property, nice comfy lounge to chill and watch TV in the evenings. The place was clean and spacious, and has what you need. The beds are a bit hard and uncomfortable, the bunk bed looked fun at first but a little unpractical and VERY wobbly if you’re top bunk. There are obviously maintenance issues that are quick fixes like wobbly taps and toilet locks that LITERALLY lock you inside (if you have kids make sure they don’t lock the toilet doors). The communal entrance is a bit run down and smells of strong cigarettes whenever you enter or leave the apartment. The area is very close to all the main attractions, great restaurants, the lanes, the pier etc are all easy walking. Only negative about the area is the amount of drug users and drunks walking around day and night. With children it makes it feel slightly unsafe especially coming back from dinner. Overall the actual apartment is really nice, it’s let down by the area and the block it is in.

The apartment was lovely, a beautiful space with a great view and superb location in Brighton, with easy access and instructions for the property. The only thing I would say is that there could’ve been some better provision of amnesties (salt and pepper grinder instead of singular packets, more tea bags, and actual ground coffee for the cafetière instead of sachet coffees). The addition of specific recycling bins would’ve made us feel more comfortable (with one small bin and only one bing bag provided) but we managed to sort our own out anyway. Furthermore, the way they described a patio area made it seem like there was a small balcony attached to the apartment when in fact it was just the entrance to the block of flats out the front of the property. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you.

We had a great time staying. the place is nice and clean, only I get disappointed because the place is on the top floor and the lift isn't working. so hard everytime we go out as we have a pram. Also, so last minute that I didn't know we must have to pay for a damage cover before checking in.

Superb location, we were a 15 minute walk from everything we needed. We booked pretty last minute as our previous accommodation cancelled on us, so finding this property was a blessing and turned out to be a much more convenient location than our previous option! The property was clean and tidy with extra divers and some fans available to use as well. Check-in instructions were nice and clear, the only issues we encountered with check-in were that my maps pinned the property as being further down the street than it was for some reason, and the lift inside did not work which made getting some heavier luggage up to the apartment a real struggle. Apart from that the area wasn’t really noisy, especially for a Saturday night! Beds were comfortable enough (we didn’t use the sofa bed so can’t comment), the kitchen was stocked with enough to make cups of tea and heat some pastries for breakfast. Bathrooms were great! Thanks for a pleasant stay!

Super convenient and so spacious! Slept very well, although we had to use earplugs. I wouldn't walk in the neighbourhood alone (a lot of sketchy people) but it was fine when we were a group. It was extremely convenient for the beach and the city, and groceries. Everything within very short walking distance. Communication was probably the best and fastest I have experienced on Airbnb so far, the My Getaways app they used was brilliant.

Amazing location and communication with My Getaways Team. Clean and enough towels and bedding for everyone. Easy walk down to the the beach and pier. Lovely shops nearby too. The ONLY downside is the pull out bed and futon situation. Everyone online complains about uncomfortable they are. For the money we paid they should really be replaced to keep on advertising the apartment for 8 people. It was also very hot , but fans were provided and it’s rare we have such hot weather anyway.

7 of us stayed here for my hen weekend It was very clean, had everything we needed Checked in early which was great communication with host was excellent and it was in a great location the only thing I would say is the sofa bed is not very comfortable and has definitely seen better days the pull out chair in the back bedroom is also not fit to sleep on We had an issue with the lock in the bathroom one of us got stuck in there so just be mindful

The location is a bit hard to find! An older gentleman saw us going from building to building frantically looking for our stay. He finally asked “are you looking for the airbnb and pointed us in the direction”. Other than that, our stay was lovely! The place was clean and comfortable. We didn’t sleep much considering we went for a night out, but the space did it’s job.

One person actually ended up sleeping on the floor instead, a shame considering the money spent. It's almost perfect, there's just few things they can change such as some of the items are very fragile and you can they that some are almost broken. but overall its very great. Booking Seaview Heights was a straightforward and easy process. I stayed here with a group of 8 for a weekend in August 2021. I had quick confirmation from the accommodation management, and they were there to answer all my questions, overall, a positive booking experience. However, our actual stay for the weekend here was disappointing. Parts of the apartment hadn’t been cleaned properly and there was dirt and debris on the bathroom floors. There are (most likely vomit) stains on the carpet of one of the bedrooms and the overall interior just felt slightly unclean. All the window latches are pretty much broken and the ones that do open, only open ajar so you can barely get any airflow through the flat. My greatest annoyance would have to be how the flat is advertised for 8 persons, however in terms of utilities they only provide for 4-5. Four mugs, four glasses. The sofa (at a squeeze) fits 4 people so the other 4 people had to sit on the floor when we were all in the common room together. Other little things like there was only 1 toilet roll provided between 2 bathrooms just added to the general inconvenience. In terms of beds, this accommodation realistically only fits 5 people (2 single beds and then 3 can sleep in the bunk bed). The other two beds (sofa and futon) were not made up on our arrival (which I can understand for the sofa but not the futon) so we had to assemble ourselves late in the day. The futon is so uncomfortable to sleep on, my friend slept on the sofa cushions instead as it was far more comfortable. This is this sort of experience I would expect from my backpacking days, staying in hostels and if it was a hostel, it would have been a top one. My discomfort comes from paying very premium prices for a very under premium stay. One of those situations where the accommodation images are professional and beautiful but it’s not the reality. I guess you pay for the ideal location (very near The Lanes, the beach) etc, however other than that, the price for the accommodation is no way justified. Overall, the stay did not meet my expectations and I would hesitate to stay with My Getaways again.

Location is amazing! Walkable distance from all the main areas we wanted to visit and very walkable to bars and restaurants at night. Flat is lovely and clean. All towels and bedding included which was great. We were very pleased with everything and had a wonderful stay! I would recommend researching parking options beforehand. We managed to park in the Bingo carpark for £50 for 4 days - 5 minute walk away.

nice modern apartment, good location about 10 mins walk from the sea. however had a poor start to the vacation as the keys were not in the said space at the check in time (4pm) and we had to wait half hour outside on the road with kids till someone came over to hand over the keys. Also the ensuite bathroom drains were clogged resulting in water gathering in the shower cubicle and also once coming out of the toilet tank.this was extremely unpleasant

It is a lovely flat suitable for a large group or families. Location is accessible to shops and few mins walk to the beach. It is clean and interior is pretty. The only thing is we’re trying to open the windows but we can’t seem to do so, the weather’s so hot and we’re trying to get some air but the windows broken. Apart from that it is a wonderful stay.

The apartment was super nice and in a great location. It was around a 10 minute walk to the beach, 15 minute walk to the lanes and there were so many shops on the surrounding streets. Great flat - fab location. However our stay was marred by loud music from the neighbouring flat on two nights out of three. If you don’t mind being next to a party flat then this you’ll be happy staying here. But if you value sleep and have kids then I’d avoid. In all other respects the flat is great.

The apartment was in a convenient location and easily accessible however due to the centrality we were kept awake both nights by drunk folk hanging about on the street. Not ideal for families but probably less of a concern for younger renters. The property was clean and spacious however it was advertised as 'non smoking' but the previous renters had clearly ignored this policy and the place smelled strongly of smoke and air freshener.

Few cons: lots of stairs for heavy suitcases, only one set of keys (keep in mind for large families) tv only had 6 channels and was a bit dodgy. Other than those few very minor things this was a great place to stay.

A great Kemptown location – away from the hoi-polloi whilst only a short jaunt away from anywhere you'd want to be. For us this was the perfect spot in a location with a quirky, slightly alternative vibe on the fringes. Spoilt for choice in terms of independent eateries for breakfast/lunch/dinner - highly recommend. The space itself was as described, and in fact felt more spacious when in residence than the pictures suggested. The flat had clearly been recently refurbished/redecorated – a great bolt-hole!

Great location just a few minutes from the beach. Stylish decor. Host was very responsive and helped with any questions.
