The space
Escape to our charming and newly-refurbished Victorian house with a private garden, located in the picturesque town of Folkestone, Kent. Perfect for families, groups or contractors this spacious and comfortable home is just a 10-minute walk from the beautiful Folkestone beach and harbour, offering a relaxing and tranquil stay with easy access to the sea.This bright and spacious home is arranged over three floors with 4 generously sized bedrooms, (5 actual beds in total). Completely renovated in 2024, the property benefits from a well stocked kitchen and formal dining room, with a separate lounge at the front of the house as well as a downstairs toilet W.C. The 4 bedrooms provide a flexible sleeping combination with two doubles, a single and a full-sized family bathroom on the first floor, the house also has twin bedroom across the top floor (2 single beds) with its own ensuite. Superfast 150mps wifi is included and available throughout the property.
The Spaces
Kitchen Area
Situated to the side of the dining area, the kitchen comes with a brand new induction safety hob and electric oven, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle microwave, large fridge freezer, kitchen linens and a full range of cooking utensils. There is also a cosy bar with two bar stools looking out onto the garden. There is a garden door from the kitchen taking you to a nice lawned garden to relax in.
There is also a brand new (2024) washing machine for laundry and clothes racks to hang clothes etc and good supply of cleaning items, ironing etc so you can hit the ground running right away.
Dining Area
The dining area is set with table and comfortable seating with capacity to seat 6 guests. (N.B The photo shows 4 chairs - but there are 6 !). If you have 7 guests, do let us know; we can supply extra seating and cot and high chair on request.
Living Room
Relax in this spacious bay-window living room with comfortable sofa and chairs with brand-new smart TV giving access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, ITV Hub and hundreds of different channels.
Downstairs Utilities
Equipped with cleaning items, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. NB we also provide all your towels and linens and no extra costs.
Downstairs Toilet (Ground floor)
There is a toilet on ground level with a sink.
Double Master Bedroom One (1st floor)
A calming and soothing space created with light and natural colours, complete with a double bed wardrobe space and a top of the range mattress. This large bedroom has been designed intricately, to wind down after a long day with view to front.
Double Bedroom Two (1st floor)
This bright and uplifting, large double room also has wardrobes and a brand new mattress and looks out to the front.
Single Bedroom Three (1st floor)
This is a cosy single room with wardrobe space looking out the back of the house.
Main Bathroom (1st floor)
This spacious bathroom has a W/C, a bath with shower and is equipped with soaps and shampoos - Incidentally all towels and linen are provided (as in all our Blue Buzzard properties).
Twin Bedroom Ensuite - Bedroom four (Top floor)
This is a huge space with two twin beds - and its own private ensuite shower room with WC and sink.
The Road
This is a classic British row of Victorian terraced houses. The street is a quiet residential street with trees and a pleasant walk into the centre of Folkestone.
Outside
The house benefits from a secluded private garden- laid out as a patio and lawn with shed for storage to enjoy in the summer. There is also a large dry corridor to the side of the house for extended dry lockable storage.
Parking
Free unrestricted parking space is on the street.

We booked this Airbnb after reading a reassuring reply from Leon, the host, to a previous guest’s review. His response gave us confidence to book, assuming improvements had been made. Unfortunately, this was not the case. On arrival, the property was unclean and did not meet expectations. We raised concerns, and Kerry, the co-host, promised a full clean, fresh linen, and new cutlery via Amazon, but we chose to leave and were refunded for six nights. Issues included stained and unwashed bed linen, dirty kitchenware, missing cutlery, and appliances that had not been cleaned. The garden was overgrown with weeds, blinds were broken or missing, and the ensuite shower door was loose and grimy. Sofa, banisters, and general cleanliness were poor. The property failed to match its advertised standards of “premium linen” and comfort. Photos were provided to support our concerns.

The property is perfect for Contractors, not for families. The house was dirty considering how much you charge for cleaning. No toilet paper in the toilets when you first get there with small children and they need the toilet before you've unpacked, its not very good. No bins in the bathroom, no curtains just blinds, very steep stairs to the top floor. Not enough cutlery or cups. The saucepans we had to clean before we could use them. The garden is not suitable for young children. Airbnb states in the description there is a lawn, its all weeds and not nice to sit in. Vapes were down the side of the settees with fluid in them, luckily the children didn't find them. The cleaning charge is a joke!!
