We were so happy we chose Suzanna's apartment. Its the perfect location... only a few tram stops from the train station. We walked or took the tram everywhere, so convenient. The apartment was super comfy and spacious for our family of four. Everything we needed was there. We hope to come back another time to enjoy the warmer season. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Bordeaux.

The good: This place is very spacious! Comfortable and close to everything we needed including a grocery, bars, restaurants, etc…. We would definitely stay here again. Well stocked for cooking. Elevator fo convenience. Friendly host! The bad: parking garage is about 6 minutes away (easy walk). TV cable was out that week (didn’t matter to us).

Amazing location. Right in the heart of it. Bakery down the road , supermarket close by and restaurants and bars all within minutes. Communication from Suzanne and Charlotte was really good. Rooms were large. Is there is a wine bar below and it can be noisey but in the rooms you cannot hear it at all. overall great stay and would 100% stay ahead. Location could not be beat !

It was very close to a small market which we found everything that we needed. There are an amazing amount of restaurants and bars minutes away. The apartment offered everything we wanted: great location, walk ability to all the sights, safe, clean and very spacious. The only minor issue would be the noisy late-night chatter coming from the bar located two floors down and across from the apartment. Fortunately, the bedrooms are located at other side of the apartment and were much quieter. Full disclosure- we visited that bar ourselves twice!

When you feel at home and you realize that the apartment is prepared with all the details, you know you chose well. The flat is incredibly well located. Everything is close, in the heart of downtown, full of restaurants and bars. Until the free tour go by there !! From the good AirBnB I have booked. The apartment itself is in a perfect location—right in the heart of Bordeaux, with easy access to public transport, including a very convenient connection from the airport. Location is the best. We can see Porte Cailhau from the window of the airbnb. The place radiates a warmth that’s like home. It’s also near a lot of restaurants and the tourist attractions are near. Definitely worth it!

A perfect place in Bordeaux. I highly recommend staying at Suzanne’s place. Not only is it close to many sites, Cite du Vin, the Capuchin Market but it’s very convenient to great restaurants and the Bordeaux train station. Elevator, beautiful view, comfortable apartment and the master bedroom is a dream. Spacious and so so so comfortable bedding. Would like to stay there again when we go back to Bordeaux!

Very comfortable unit in the heart of Old Town Bordeaux. You can’t beat the location. Walkable to every part of the city: restaurants, historic sites, grocery stores, metro, … it’s all right there! The rental was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Charlotte met us upon arrival and reviewed all relevant information about the unit. She was very responsive whenever we had questions right from the start. We would definitely recommend renting this unit. You won’t be disappointed.

I am not sure you could find a better location to stay at. Easily accessible from the airport using the Tram (stops about two blocks away from the apt). Most everything you would want to see or do is within a 10 minute walk of the place. Check-in was very easy and any communications were answered within a couple of hours (considering the time difference between us this was much appreciated). The apt itself was exactly as described, there is a full kitchen although with the number or restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, we primarily used it for breakfast or snacks. The area itself was very safe and the building itself was quiet. Wi-fi worked great as well. The trams are very accessible (all lines), using Uber was not an issue either although you have to go out to the main street to get it (two minute walk). I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it if you are looking for a central spot in Bordeaux. Thanks for a great experience.

We did have the neighbor below ask us to stop walking so much upstairs and a little struggle getting situated with the entry/host. We felt like locals staying at this apartment, which was our hopes. We enjoyed the spaciousness and loved the light coming through the front windows. We liked walking to the nearby Boulangerie for croissants each morning, enjoying breakfast at home with groceries from the store around the corner. We adored the Medieval neighborhood filled with restaurants and shops. The bathroom and kitchen were perfect for us. Should we return, it would be lovely for the master bed to have a new topper to enhance sleeping comfort. Thank you for having us and creating such a welcoming experience.

We loved our weekend at Suzanna’s beautiful apartment in Bordeaux. The location was absolutely perfect, and despite all the hustle and bustle of bars and restaurants nearby, the bedrooms were quiet and we slept well. After a day of sightseeing and walking around the city it was great to return to such a calm and secure place. We didn’t use the kitchen, except for breakfast, since there are so many great choices in Bordeaux for eating out, but it was well equipped. The shower was powerful and there was plentiful hot water, plus toiletries in the bathroom. Thank you to Charlotte who met us and showed us around when we checked in after a late flight from London, and to Yvonne who corresponded with us before our trip. We look forward to returning to Bordeaux to do all the things we didn’t manage to do this time!

We had the most wonderful stay here. The location is perfect - the Disney castle tower of Port Cailhau is right across the street. So much of the city is walkable from here, and you are literally minutes from the A tram line. The place itself feels like a home. Care has been put into the details. There is everything you would need, from pots and pans for cooking right down to bags for your grocery shopping trip. The bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of options for pillows. Communication regarding check in was via text. The property manager met us and gave us the full tour of the space. Two keys meant that we could each do what we wanted during our stay. Having an elevator also was extremely appreciated at the end of a long day’s walking. There are also plenty of maps and guidebooks as well as recommendations for places to eat and drink nearby. This place will be top of our list to stay at on our next trip to Bordeaux.

We had a great stay in Bordeaux! Great location in the heart of the city with a nice corner view of Porte Cailhau. I was traveling with my wife and 3 kids (8, 5 and baby). The flat is on the 3rd floor and the downstairs neighbor is apparently sensitive to noise (fair enough). Even after a warning from the host, the neighbor arrived at our door within the first two hours to remind us to be quiet (nicely, of course). While we did feel on our toes about trying to keep the kids quiet the whole time, mostly unsuccessfully, the neighbor never did return. We had a great week long stay at the flat, and the whole family agreed that this was a great spot for our family. The large square in front of Porte Cailhau was a great traffic-free area for our kids in this awesome city.

We absolutely loved our stay in Bordeaux. It was our first time there, so really had so much to discover. The location could have not been more historically relevant. Oh my gosh!!! So beautiful. The house was charming as shown in the photos and had plenty of fans to keep us comfortable! We made a side trip to St Emilion to do wine tasting at Grangey Vineyards and La Pressac! Go visit if you have time. We also traveled to the coast to Cornishe and Cap Ferat to see the dunes. So beautiful. Favorite dinners in town were at PitaPita and Bistro Reno! The location can’t be beat. While the apartment is not the Royal suite, it is rally nice and comfortable. Suzanna and Charlotte were very responsive and sensitive to our needs and keen to cure small issues in the apartment to improve the experience. What is a nice touch is that there is a supply of many basics like coffee, tea, sugar, spices and a few bottles of wine there when you arrive. Guests are asked to replace what is used to deliver the same positive experience for the next guests. Well done Suzanna.

A fantastic stay from beginning to end. The host was helpful and speedy with responses before we arrived and ensured a really smooth check in and departure. The flat is in a super location - great views to the Port Cailhau from the sitting room and kitchen, easy walking distance to the sites and some great local restaurants on the doorstep. No problems with noise as the bedrooms are at the rear. Everything was clean and there was plenty of light, space and equipment- you could happily stay for weeks. The lift was a bonus, particularly welcomed by our 87 year old father. A great flat and we would happily return.

Right in the heart of it all. We had a car for day excursions but it’s not necessary. We did a major day in old Bordeaux and it all centered in the apartment. There are a few stairs to get up and over to the elevator so that was a challenge woth a loaded down stroller. Baby bed was great. Main bedroom is huge and other seemed quite well too. The shower was perfect and kitchen served us well. We hit the Carrefour grocer a lot each night and had easy meals in with the young one. Fred Cafe had great cafe au lait and is right there. Charlotte met us right on time and was right there for departure as well.

This place was stunning! It's right in the heart of Bordeaux, has gorgeous high ceilings and everything is very modern and clean inside. Also has a lift which is very handy. Also has Netflix which was great for our last night where we stayed in as we had an early morning flight. We will definitely be booking it again and definitely coming back to Bordeaux!

I was very happy with this property. The location was perfect for a first-timer’s visit to Bordeaux because it was near all the city’s attractions, had easy access to public transportation, and had a grocery store and wine shop within steps. Restaurants, bars, and shops were all just at your doorstep or a short walk away. Suzanna was proactive in communicating instructions and helpful suggestions for arrival and checkin. The apartment was a wonderful home base for touring Bordeaux. It was spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and well-furnished. I would certainly choose this place again.

Really enjoyed my stay. Was in the area for a sports event. Able to come back to the property instantly wash my sports gear and other clothing. Easy access to restaurants, shopping, transport, historical sites, at night the place transforms to easy going ambiance and I am not even a romantic. I would definitely stay any this property again if I travelled to Bordeaux again. Communication was great, clear instructions, able to check in early and out early. As a family of 5, we really enjoyed ourselves in this apartment. Location was excellent, and area had a great vibe in the old town. Host provided easy to follow instructions and check in was great including a meet and greet. Within a 2min walk there are restaurants, brassieres, pharmacy, grocery and wine store. Kitchen was well stocked, beds comfy and the washing machine and dishwasher came in very handy. Any noise from main bedroom does receive noise complaints from downstairs neighbours but host does remind you of this on arrival.

Wonderful location in Bordeaux! The place was a perfect fit for what we were looking for; great location, easy access, laundry for mid trip use (allowed us to use carry on instead of bring oversized luggage), expresso maker worked great, market very close, nice cross ventilation with windows. Although there is a bar on street level across from living room, the noise was a non-issue for us - unit is very quiet in the morning. There are trees next to the gate/tower that have hundreds of birds chirping in the morning (we loved this). Checking in was confusing as the Unit was referenced as No4 vs. No10, but this should be corrected for future hosts. We would stay here again without any reservation whatsoever - wonderful host and great experience!!

An excellent location (we walked to the Grand Theatre and the Musee des Beaux Arts) and a beautiful, old apartment. It is on the 3rd floor (4th floor, for North Americans), but there is a small elevator and the stairs are wide and easy to navigate with luggage. We were greeted by Hugo, who was very pleasant and helpful. We have no complaints - only compliments.

We had a really lovely stay at the apartment, perfect location, apartment large and everything you need for your stay. it is very noisy with bars directly outside but that’s what you expect from city centre. Shops and supermarket on your doorstep,, Fantastic little coffee shop virtually outside, great communication and checkin was excellent from Hugo. Downside, only minor but honest, neighbour downstairs complained upon our arrival we were walking about too much in larger bedroom? Curtains could be larger to block out light in bedrooms, there a little sparse, apartment a little tired looking maybe could do with redecorating, especially toilet! Shower room nice though :)

This was the most amazing place to stay in every possible category. Talk about the best location? walk out the door to a great cup of coffee across the street, starting at the corner for the next 6 blocks are plaza after plaza with wonderful energy, great food, clean streets, and any type of food you would want, French, Italian, Argentinian, Vegetarian, Poke, etc. It's also 1 block from the water and just a couple of streets from a tram stop. This is where people live, not just visitors hang out. A+ location. And the apartment? clean, spacious, comfortable, homey, perfect. And the washer works so beautifully. the place is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. And the communication? exceptional. Suzanna responds immediately to any inquiry and has great information. There are books at the apartment that gives you information as well as recommendations for things to do and eat in the apartment. Charlotte, who gave us the keys, was on time and very responsive. We had no difficulties at all. Thank you for an amazing stay at the best place. When we return, we will not hesitate to rent your place again.

We loved this apartment! My husband and I stayed here for a few nights and the location was perfection. We could walk everywhere from here. The apartment had all the things we needed, including dish soap and laundry pods for the washing machine. It was a huge benefit to be able to recycle some clothes on this trip! In the evenings we would open the windows and listen to the cafe sounds below with a glass (or bottle) of wine and the view of the Porte (gate) was perfect. I would stay here again.

Highly recommended! High-ceiling, bright and airy with views onto the Porte Cailhou. Huge double bed room and smaller with twins. Well-equipped kitchen, great water pressure throughout. Small but much appreciated elevator for bags. Suzanna provided prompt and very helpful information and responded right away to any needs. Worth paying that little bit more to stay in this delightful, walkable neighbourhood.

Great communication from the property owner and manager. As for the location -- couldn't be better. Right in the heart of Bordeaux, with easy access to sights and shopping. Just a few steps outside of the door, you can find great wine stores, restaurants, and a grocery store. Parking was a little bit of a challenge -- we just parked at one of the nearby lots. But really, one doesn't need a car, and we only used ours to go to Arcachon. We'd love to stay here next time we're in Bordeaux.

From the moment of booking until check-out you will be delighted with the stay. the location of course is wonderful. Plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The grocery store is also very near. The place itself is exactly as described and better. Charming, warm (we stayed in December) and comfortable - plenty of space for whatever you need. The hosts were wonderful, very friendly and attentive to all needs

Highly recommend this airbnb! The location was absolutely perfect, within easy walking distance to the main sites, restaurants and tram line. It had all of the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, which included a washing machine, heated towel rack, umbrellas for the rain, kitchen utensils. The beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Suzannas place is fantastic! It is in a wonderful location. Minutes from all the shops, restaurants and a lively night life. The apartment however is quiet, because the bedrooms face the courtyard and not the street. There is access to an elevator (which was so helpful with our large suitcases) but the staircase is also large and spacious (which is a nice treat in bordeaux!) The sheets smelled fresh and wonderful! The master bedroom is huge and lovely. Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the mattress in the master bedroom and that would elevate this place to a terrific little gem in Bordeaux!

Wow, simply wow. The apartment is perfect. Plenty of space and an amazing set of windows with your own personal view of Bordeaux and a little castle. Close to literally everything and if you find yourself needing to take a little train, those stations are close too.

The flat is in an excellent location, right in the centre of Bordeaux, with plenty of nice restaurants nearby. The building is very clean and very well maintained, and despite the very central location, the nights are quiet. The flat is spacious, clean, and has plenty of storage space. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are very good. Little extras like coffee and a few basic groceries in the kitchen are very much appreciated. Highly recommend this apartment.

This apartment is beautiful and comfortable. Its location is perfect. Its big windows made plenty of fresh air available, with the sounds of Bordeaux surrounding us like music. We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is lovely and so spacious! The view out the windows is exactly as shown in the photos and made for the absolute best scenery over morning coffee! We thought the location was gorgeous and so convenient, we loved walking everywhere. There are plenty of spots to shop, eat and drink near by. Suzanna and Charlotte are perfect hosts, very responsive, kind and helpful. We highly recommend this apartment for anyone spending time in Bordeaux.

This apartment is perfectly placed. It is steps from two of our favorite restaurants. One was a husband and wife team that produced a five course meal that was perfect. Another was Indonesian/French cuisine and both were less than one minute walk from the apartment. Now for the apartment. It is located in the most lovely section of Bordeaux. We were steps away from the tram and bus service that can take you anywhere in the city. The apartment has two bedrooms is perfectly appointed with high ceilings and a lovely kitchen. There is an elevator, some luggage is not a problem Communication with Suzanna was seamless. We were met for checking in and given tips on the best places to go. It is the perfect place to stay when visiting Bordeaux.

This is about as good an Airbnb as we have stayed in. The location is perfect -- right in the heart of town, close to many attractions, yet on a quiet street. The house itself has two very spacious bedrooms, with large windows and a fully-equipped kitchen. Suzanna has a list of local recommendations and these were very useful for us. Her team is super-responsive should anything come up during the stay. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Great location close to city centre with loads of options for food and drinks around within walking distance. However this home is advertised as having 4 beds but don’t be fooled the 4th bed is kid sized and will not sleep an adult, the reason we booked this expensive place was for 4 beds. Also we were charged 90 euros for check out at 7pm, which is very expensive. Rest of the things were completely fine

This is a great apartment, perfect for our group of 4. Just step outside into the historic quarter and beside the promenade. Very quiet for sleeping. All the equipment etc needed. Shop just around the corner. The manager was super helpful. Would love to return.

Wonderful first time visit to Bordeaux!! The apartment is ideal and conveniently located downtown within very close walking distance to major attractions, shopping bars and restaurants. The property manager, Charlotte, was incredibly helpful and accommodating (she was even up at 6am to ensure our taxis were on time upon departure). The apartment is very well equipped with great information, maps, kitchen equipment, laundry, etc. the rooms are very spacious, and the apartment is bright and beautiful. The only minor drawback was the Internet was a bit slow, otherwise the accommodations were perfect.

Staying in Suzannas apartment was amazing! First of all, the location is perfect, in the central of Bordeaux one has a close walking distance to both shopping, restaurants and other places of interest. We stayed there for one and a half months and completely loved it. The apartment is very nice, clean, spacious and has everything you need. The only negative thing we thought of was due to our long stay, the kitchen sometimes felt a bit small since we cooked almost every day. But in comparison to other apartments we stayed in in Bordeaux this was far from the best considering both the location and the apartment itself.

We were met at the apartment and everything was explained thoroughly to us. The apartment is ideally situated in the old town area of Bordeaux, just inside one of the main gateways to the city. When you step out the door, there are incredible restaurants within easy walking distance. The tram runs just outside the walls and the river cruise runs directly opposite on the river. The walk along the river is fantastic and you must visit the reflecting pool at night which is 2 minutes walk away. It was a huge apartment with everything you could need for your holiday. The massive windows let in a great deal of light and it had the old worldly charm of this area. All the buildings are old of course and streets are narrow but once you are inside the building, the stairs or lift take you up to a very generous sized apartment. The streets feel quite safe to walk around at night and the shopping area has so much to choose from - boutiques, patisseries,cafes etc. It was a little noisy at night but we think there was something special on but once you shut the bedroom doors, you couldn't hear the noise at all. We would really recommend this apartment for its location, facilities, size and cleanliness.

The description was perfect, the apartment has a comfortable and spacious living room, a beautiful master bedroom and some comfortable beds. Bedrooms overlook a patio, making them quiet. The view from the living room and kitchen to the Calhiu door are very nice. The neighborhood, great. In the heart of the city, close to everything, full of small restaurants, shops, supermarkets... A lot of life.

Suzanna was very good at responding to all requests for information. The apartment is situated in a very attractive area which is also quite lively and it provides very comfortable accommodation, with high ceilings and all mod cons. If you disliked lifts, there is a bit of a climb to it. All in all, it fully lived up to expectstions.

With high ceilings, a huge master bedroom, good furnished kitchen, ... We really enjoyed our stay! The communication with Suzanna as well was really good. The first apartment we wanted was not available and she offered us another one! Great!

Brilliant, what more can we say. Communication from host, along the location of the apartment left us not wanting to leave. After being in Paris for several days, we discovered that Bordeaux was much prettier and could have skipped Paris all together. The instructions on how to get to the apartment was very detailed, but given it was hot we caught a taxi that ended up being $8 euro. Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown the apartment. The greeter was French and couldn't speak a word of English, but this only added to the charm. The apartment is located where the hosts describes. The photo shows the fairy tale view and the apartment is just left of the castle. The surrounding area is lovely with a number of restaurants and a great bar that provides the view shown in the photo. When you get to Bar Chez Fred....go and say hi to the owner 'Fred'. The area is on the fringe of all the major dining and shopping areas. We liked this as it was mostly locals that hung out in the fairy tale view and is you wanted to go up to the more busy areas, then it was not far away. The apartments price was spot on for us, but it has a second bedroom with 2 single beds if you want to reduce the cost. One bathroom that was clean and towels etc were provided. The apartment also has cable, wireless internet and an iPod audio player. Basically everything you need. All other internal facilities are provided also. The apartment is also very secure Details on restaurants, shopping areas is provided by the host and the restaurant recommended turned out to be a fantastic brasserie..thanks. Overall, we loved Bordeaux and the apartment was perfect for us. Do yourself a favour and book this place; you wont be disappointed.

Very nice flat in the centre of it all! Plenty of room for our family of 5 (my wife and I, my father and 2 kids (7, 14). The flat is well equipped with beautiful floor to ceiling windows and fresh decor. Suzanna was very thorough in her dealings with us and provided helpful tips for arrival to the flat. Charlotte, the property manager was more than willing to assist. We loved our stay!
