Suzanna’s place was steps from the Tram. We had big luggages and we were able to take the train from her place to Gare St. Jean. It was great that the unit was on the top floor and that you have a deck. There is an elevator for those with mobility issues. It is small though so we had to take multiple trips with our luggage. The unit is listed as 1.5 bath in airbnb. For North Americans, that means a full bathroom and extra one with just the toilet and a sink. What’s there is a separate toilet. Then shower and sink is separate as well. So I would count that as one. Suzanne is also following the rules in France so does ask for a copy of your license or passport. We almost didn’t book as this is unusual for us but if you do your own research, it is a legitimate step for airbnb renters. Lastly, some commented about feeling unsafe. We didn’t get that vibe at all. It is slightly away from the tourist spot and mostly locals around so could be that? We walked day and night and felt safe.

Our second stay here and the 9 days were all very pleasant. Nicely organised apartment for 4 adults, spacious living and dining areas, a very well equipped kitchen with plenty of spices, tea, coffee and comfortable beds. The large terrace is quite special with river and city views. It is located in one of the most interesting neighbourhoods with easy walking distance to markets, restaurants, wine bars, cultural activities and public transportation. Planning for 2027!

Friendly and responsive host. Excellent location. Comfortable and homey feel to the accommodation. Easy access to any sights In Bordeaux. Close to the tram which is something you all should do when getting around Bordeaux, it’s fun. We made a mistake of renting a car but I think the small parking is a problem everywhere. Suzanna, Robbie and Charlotte all helped guide us with the parking, etc, very well. Bordeaux is a beautiful town. Don’t let the food and wine distract you 🙂 too much from enjoying the sights and this accommodation. We were rained in but we enjoyed the view over the balcony over a cup of coffee.

Our 1st impression of the location was a bit rough, but we always felt safe and there are 2 tram stops minutes away,and we walked everywhere day and night. We ended up liking the location, as we walked to the Capuchin marche (loved it), on our way to the contemporary art museum , near the Gare St. Jean. (La MECA). Be sure to check out the windows in the basilica St. Michel, just around the corner. The VERY quiet apartment, with the huge ,comfortable bed, good hot shower and pretty well equipped kitchen (full fresh bottle of olive oil !) are some of the best we’ve had in years of bnb. We would return to Bordeaux and this apartment.

The location relative to town is fantastic. The outside patio is a wonderful place to wake up and have coffee in the morning. The space is clean and overall a great spot in town. Very quiet and private. A 5 minute walk to rue du Catherine shopping. There are 3 things that I found challenging. 1. There are some uncomfortable characters hanging around directly on this block, a lot of foreigners not from France and we saw a fight and some man get beaten badly. 2. The host requires you to fill out a 3rd party website before providing any information after the Airbnb booking has been accepted. Says it’s required per France Airbnb laws, however we’ve been traveling all over France & this was the only place that required this. The host requires a copy of your drivers license & or passport before finalizing the booking after it’s been booked by Airbnb. I didn’t like this process as I’m already verified with Airbnb & felt it was a privacy issue. 3. WiFi not provided until arrived, not in book

Great spot! The patio was wonderful!! Close to everything. And with an air co dictionary in every room was super cool despite the warm weather. We had a glitch checking in, we were outside waiting for half an hour ( we thought the contact would be outside to meet us, they were inside and we didn't have the apartment number to ring them)...but the AIRBNB folks were quick to resolve it and connect us with the contact. Would definitely stay here again :)

What a hidden gem. My sister and I loved this gorgeous terrace apartment! Loved the view. All the mod cons, plenty of storage in the bedrooms for clothes and decent water pressure in the shower(being an old building we were a bit worried). The terrace was magnificent- lots of wine drinking & and people watching done there. Easy access to everything. Gorgeous little private streets. Best air bnb we’ve stayed in!

Stayed for 5 days. Great views! Nice breeze in apartment at night. Close to rail and pretty much everything else. Kitchen well equipped! Lots of places to eat within walking distance and beyond. One of our best AirBnb stays. The apartment is large and comfortable. The view is a pleasure to wake up to have a coffee. We used the veranda several times to have charcuterie and wine even though it was chilly out. Suzanna responded quickly and always helpfully. We loved this apartment not only for the view and location to the city centre, but it was also a few minutes walk to the locally loved neighborhood of saint michele! A delightful apartment overlooking one of the city’s gates and river views. The terrace was large and even in February very pleasant for morning or evening beverages. Very comfortable for four adults. Extremely well stocked with everything you need including a washer- dryer, plenty of cooking utensils, glasses and other items. Excellent attention to detail. Comfortable beds and pillows and well heated. A gem in the old part of town near lots of shops, wine bars, markets and tram lines. Definitely will return. Bordeaux is a lovely, walkable and liberal city.

Suzanna is wonderful! There was a minor issue at the apartment when we checked in and Suzanna went out of her way to offer suggestions and inconvenience us as little as possible until the repair could be made. Because of her thoughtfulness and effort, we were truly comfortable at the apartment and felt quite “at home.” The apartment has everything you might need, and the kitchen is stocked with spices, teas, sugar, coffee, etc. Comfortable beds, lovely view, quiet, easy to walk to sites…including supermarkets nearby. A couple of things to be aware of, which weren’t issues for us at all, but could potentially be for others; the toilet is near the entry so you must walk across apartment (not large) to get to during the night. The elevator is wonderful! But if mobility challenged, be aware there are about 10 steps (stairs) to get to the elevator. Wonderful apartment, wonderful host! Merci, Suzanna!

The property was lovely, as described. Suzanna was responsive whenever I had a question before our trip. Charlotte was helpful with check in and answering a few questions we had. There were helpful notes provided at the property, the amenities, local restaurants, tours, travel services etc. The view from the balcony was picturesque. The location of the property seemed central to the city and to anything you may want to see or do. Great transport links close by to the property we stayed in. Suzanna’s apartment is in a multicultural area of Bordeaux. Its location is the ideal place to stay during Bordeaux Fête Le Vin and its proximity to Capucins market, is very handy. Her apartment, really feels like a home. You can cook a meal in the well equipped kitchen, relax in front of the TV or admire the view from the balcony.

Beautiful apartment with a nice view of Bordeaux landmarks such as Arch of Burgundy and Pont du Pierre. Very convenient location, accessible to supermarkets, restaurants and main attractions. Tram stop to apartment only 3mins’ walk. Host Charlotte was amazing - friendly, helpful and very thoughtful. Called a taxi for us on day of departure as was May Day and no tram available. Even came early to the apartment to make sure we got onto the taxi safely. Apartment is clean and comfortable. Kitchen has all the cooking utensils for cooking. Washer/dryer very convenient for any laundry one needs to do. (Whole wash and dry cycle takes over 5 hrs). Beds comfortable but can be firmer. Bed linens super comfortable. Heater in apartment good. We would have preferred a stronger shower pressure. Apartment is also very quiet despite being at a cross junction. The particular unit has balcony with a great view great sunset and the bustling activities in the city below.

It was so helpful to have Charlotte there at the apartment when we checked in to walk us through how the heat, the washing machine, shower, etc worked and gave us the book of more instructions. Suzanna's apartment is in a great location at a walkable distance to St Michel's basilica and to the Pont de pierre . The apartment itself is very pretty, cosy, and tastefully furnished, with a great view of the pont de Pierre and the porte de Bourgogne. Suzanna and her team were very proactive in communicating with us, clearly answered our questions about accessibility, provided very clear instructions on getting to the place, and provided excellent suggestions for visiting local wineries and shopping areas. The apartment is very handy for the airport tram, which stops about two minutes away, so no struggling across town with luggage. It's also very well located for the attractions of town, in particular the square and streets around St-Michel, but really most of the main tourist sites feel close. Walking to Musée d'Aquitaine, for example, would take about 15-20 minutes. The apartment is characterful and cosy. What makes it stand out is the fantastic balcony. You can sit out and enjoy views over the Porte de Bourgogne to the bridge and river. We hope to stay there again one day.

We didn't get to use the terrace as it was cold and wet when we were there but the view is lovely. Bordeaux is such a great city, and the apartment makes a good base.

Cute apartment that's well located! It was very easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go, but it's also right by a tram stop if you want to take the tram. The terrace has a great view and we really enjoyed having breakfast out there. Apartment was exactly as described and we had no issues! Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Bordeaux.

Perfect for 2 people, might be crowded with more. Beautiful views of the porte. Right across from the tram station, and walkable within 20-30 minutes really anywhere in the city, and 5 minutes to a grocery store. Hosts communicate in real time, so having a device that can receive/send instant messages will help. WiFi was good. Spacious living area. Washer/drier load takes about 5.5 hours. Hosts provided good recommendations. We came in February, so it was kinda cold, and they had space heaters to help keep place warm. There is some mild street noise at night, but it didn’t bother me at all. Felt very safe in this neighborhood and frequently came home around 9-10pm without any concerns. Would stay here again!

We stayed here with my family for the New Year’s Eve and it could not be better. The apartment made us feel like home. The kitchen had everything we need for a nice dinner and the location of the apartment with a balcony was a dream. Everything was clean, very nicely decorated and spacious. The location was perfect and walking distance from all the key things to see in Bordeaux. I’ll definitely come back if I have the chance!

This is a lovely apartment. The view from the balcony is very special day and night. The traffic and intersection below the apartment is extremely busy and noisy. There was a posting on the back of the apartment building door requesting to secure the door when arriving or leaving to limit entry from dealers on the street. This was concerning to us since we would find the door unsecured more often than not. There is definitely a presence of lots of young men in the streets night and day. We did not encounter any incidents while we were there, but we did feel the need to be extremely cautious and return to the apartment earlier in the evening than we would have normally. Streets are not well lit which is not unusually in an old city. The trams are great to move around the city and this apartment is a close proximity to a station. We utilized this option often.

Sitting on the balcony, looking at the arch, and watching the street life happening below was both calming and invigorating. The apartment was cosy and functioned well for four adults (though it would be nice to have an extra duvet in hand, not all couples like to sleep under the same cover). The kitchen had all the necessary equipment. The apartment was quiet, even though it is on a very busy street. The balcony was a nice feature with beautiful views over the city. The entrance into the building is on a small side street where men hang around in the evenings, but you access to a busy street in a few steps, so it wasn't a problem. Sightseeing is very easy because you are in the middle of everything, and the tram station is a minute away. The elevator is small, like a one person with luggage kind of small, so we mostly used the stairs. One of us worked during office hours and the wifi was operating perfectly. Lovely Suzanne answered quickly to our questions and the "landlord" Charlotte was really helpful and flexible with the check out. We will definitely come back to stay here if ever we return to Bordeaux

My wife and I stayed in this rustic apartment for a week. The location is near a grocery store, tram stop, and has many walkable restaurants to both the north and south, but also a central path for emergency vehicles, so sirens are frequent when enjoying the balcony. Charlotte’s communication and guide book were excellent.

Very nice apartment well located in Bordeaux opposite the Porte de Bourgogne. Large living room and beautiful small terrace, it's perfect for resting after long walks or bike rides in Gironde! The Capucins market is less than a 5-minute walk away, it's really a pleasure to go shopping there every morning. Very good hosting by Suzanne and Charlotte, I highly recommend it.

Apartment is above our expectations-located in authentic part of Bordeaux, near all you need in walking distance. Terrace and view from it is just amazing. Certainly, main street is hectic and many different people are there but once you are inside the building and reach 4th floor, all you see is like a moving picture. Apartment is silent.

This apartment is conveniently located near a major tram hub which is the easy way to get around Bordeaux. The apartment is in a beautiful old building (few steps up to the elevator but not a bother). Tiny elevator but also not a bother. Inside the apartment, it is clean and decorated nicely. Two bedrooms, one with queen size bed; no dresser; no place to put your suitcase if you want to live out of your suitcase. The bed was comfortable. The second bedroom had two uncomfortable twin beds and, again, no place to put your suitcase. Small bathroom, but even though the shower was small, it did the job. No complaints. Very well stocked kitchen. Living area and dining area very nice. Wonderful balcony looking over the river and an arch, however, there are mosquitoes. All this being said, sadly I must report something that was troubling to two senior citizen women. From the time we drove up to the door of the building (on a little alley), there were men loitering around smoking cigarettes and sometimes drinking on the street. One night when we came home about 10 p.m. there were more than 30 men loitering around the door of our building and there was a drug deal going down. Apparently, this is a gathering place for men to play cards and hang out and the entrance to a little garage where they play cards is right next to the entrance door to the apartment. It was very disconcerting and if I were a young woman, I would have felt very vulnerable. There was often loud talking and twice I was awoken during the night by men shouting. All of the little bistros in the area have outside seating but filled with men smoking, morning, noon and night. You would not want to sit here even if you could find a seat. There is a wonderful plaza just a block away near the church where there is a great bakery and lots of restaurants and an interesting flea market on Sunday. This is where to go to eat and sit outside and enjoy yourself. Charlotte who handled our arrangements, including obtaining a taxi to pick up us at 4 a.m. on departure day, was very helpful. This is a charming place but the location is just not what I wanted from Bordeaux. Did I mention the mosquitoes!

We spent a month in Suzanna’s place and it was mostly a positive experience. The location is absolutely wonderful, perfect for easy access to tons of restaurants, the tram, the market. La Boulangerie just around the corner was amazing (we went almost every morning for fresh pastries). This Airbnb has two bedrooms, but only one small shower room and a small WC. Four adults could stay here for a few days. Not sure I would recommend more than that though! For two adults the space was comfortable for a month. The balcony was wonderful. We spent a lot of time outside when weather permitted. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and the kitchen was pretty well supplied. The biggest negative was a bad smell off and on from the WC. When we talked to Charlotte (the person who checked us in and out) about it, she said it might be a ventilation problem which perhaps can be addressed. It was a little darker than we like (again a few days would probably be fine), and my 6’ tall husband kept bumping his head in the kitchen and the bedroom. We were warned it was a converted attic space, so that should not have been a surprise. Suzanna mentioned she is doing some updates in January (2019). I expect a couple of things that seemed a little dated will be much improved. Overall, I do recommend this space.

We stayed in the apartment for 2 weeks. The apartment is located perfect in the center of Bordeaux. It has at fantastic view from the balcony. The apartment is very cozy and actually rather quiet dispite of the central location. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and many different kinds of shops also groceries. The service from Suzanna and Charlotte has been fantastic during all our stay in the apartment. Thank you very much.

This apartment is very well located in the center of Bordeaux. We had rented for 4 nights but the first 2 nights were very difficult because a dull noise (dishwasher spin type) sounded in the building because of ventilation installed on the top floor and which made sleeping in the bedroom of the entrance very difficult. We contacted the owner who found us another apartment right next to the first and we spent the last two nights in much better conditions... so thank you for this initiative despite everything we are bound to be disappointed because it spoiled the stay.

We loved Bordeaux. The location and the roof terrace are the main attractions to staying in this small apartment. The lift was also much appreciated. The property manager arrived promptly and was very helpful, giving us a map and tips on places to visit.

The host Charlotte was espectacular with us and was pending for us continuously. We were at Burdeaux to know the TESLA Store and she call them to get a meeting on its own initiative!! That was great for us and we are very pleasant with her. Also, she recommend us the best places and restaurants near the apartment, which it's in the middle of Bourdeaux city center. Great experience and better host!

If you're looking for a place to stay in Bordeaux then this has to be it. The apartment is located close to bars, cafes, restaurants, etc. and the apartment was amazing with a rooftop terrace. Both Suzanna and Charlotte were extremely helpful both before and during our stay.

Great little apartment in a central location. It felt very French and everything we needed was to hand. The terrace makes this a real find and we enjoyed an evening vino watching the world go by. This apartment is in an old building so expect all that goes with that. We found it quaint, quirky and perfect for a few nights on a city break. Suzanna was always easy to contact and made sure we were looked after.

The apartment is superb - a wonderful fusion of old world structures and modern facilities. The location is in a good spot halfway between Gare St Jean and the Hotel de Ville, and having Rue St Catherine within strolling distance is great. We really enjoyed staying in this apartment in Bordeaux, and would recommend it for adult travelers in groups of 2-4 as a great base for exploring the city. Close to trams A and C, as well as the trains it's easy to get around and back from this location next to Cours Victor Hugo.

Suzanna's apartment is in a fantastic location for exploring Bordeaux's sights. The old city with so many excellent restaurants is within very easy walking distance. Two minutes walk to the excellent tram service allows you to explore more of the city and reach the station within 5 minutes. The aprtment is well appointed and comfortable. We were rather worried on arrival as the lift to the 4th floor was out of action - but this was sorted out very quickly by Charlotte, Suzannah's colleague. All in all a lovely aprtment which I would thoroughly recommend.

This nicely appointed apartment is well situated for exploring Bordeaux. The building is quiet and the terrace is a special treat. With the tram stop so close, everything is just a short trip away. Suzanna and Charlotte could not have been more acommodating or helpful.

We loved our stay at the Bordeaux Terrace. It was centrally located, easy to reach by the tram, and within walking distance of nearly everything we wanted to do. Suzanna was wonderful. She was quick to respond and was a great host. Her colleague, Charlotte, met us earlier in the check in day so that we could drop off our bags and begin exploring the city. We really appreciated the flexibility. The space in the flat was perfect. The common area was very comfortable and a social space. The beds have a restful and full night of sleep. We highly recommend this listing.

Staying at this apartment we had an unforgettable time in Bordeaux. The view from the balcony is magical, the apartment was very clean , contained all the necessary amenities and the location is very central. We were able to walk to all the sights, shops and restaurants. If you have car there are also parking garages close by. Details of the above were all provided to us at check in and there are several books in the apartment which we used to aid in our adventures in and around Bordeaux. A great place to stay for a group of 4 people!

The two bedroom apartment was exactly what we needed for our 6 day stay in Bordeaux. The loft has lots of windows, a bonus skylight in the kitchen and great views from the terrace over Pont Pierre. The space is comfortable and not cluttered, outfitted with everything you need to make meals at home or just relax. Charlotte met us at the apartment and provided all kinds of information from local restaurants, parking for our car and a great day trip to the wine district in Saint Emilion. Although the apartment is located on a busy street, the windows block it all out in the evenings so noise was not an issue. The bathroom has been recently renovated and the beds are comfortable. Thank you Suzanne and Charlotte, the apartment will be on our recommendations list for sure.

The apartment was in a great location. We were very happy for the elevator because of the baby stroller. The view from the patio was beautiful and Charlotte was very helpful and always quick with a reply. Suzanne's information book was very helpful and much appreciated. Bedrooms are a little small and can get quite warm but the fans definitely help. Overall, we had a great time here.

Great appartment! Located in the center of Bordeaux. We stayed for 4 days. The parking is nearby, just a 2min walk. One of the biggest shoppingstreets is on 10min walking distance. Charlotte talked us through the appartment en give us some advice on how to get around Bordeaux. Really friendly and nice person. The view from the balcony is spectacular. Great communication & directions from railway station appartment was as displayed in photos great location we 2 couples had plenty of space to move view from out side deck was great looking out over the bridge & river lovely to sit & have a wine & cheese would recommend this appartment to every one would stay there if we get back to bordeaux also great to have an elevator although it is small

Suzanna's apartment is amazing and it was a truly lovely experience staying in her place. She was a delight to deal with as were the people who helped us check in and out. I highly recommend her and would absolutely stay in this apartment again if given the chance!
