If you want a great Marrakech experience then choose Suzanna’s place. In oozes style with careful choice of antiques and decor. It was quiet yet right in the heart of the Medina. There are tiled stairs connecting 3 levels with an expansive roof terrace with great views at the top. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds comfortable. We chose Mouanis to guide us through the Medina on morning one and a car trip for some sights outside the walls morning 2. Mouanis is a great guide. We do recommend him. Nothing was a problem which was helpful with our numerous questions and requests. We would definitely return Thanks Suzanna

We got the whole place for eight ppl, plenty of space and good amenities so we're happy with that, so we give 5 stars for the property. However, the tour guide recommended by the manager left a sour taste in our mouth. The tour started off fine and enjoyable but towards the end he started bringing us to shopping places. By 2pm we're tired, thirsty and hungry and asked to end the tour. he said he'll bring us back to the Airbnb but instead took us further away from the property (I was looking at the map at this point) to another shop and claimed it was "on the way". When we refused to go to his recommended restaurant he half shouted at us for not trusting him. We ended up 500DH out of pocket and upset at the experience. In summary, the Airbnb is nice, but proceed with caution with any "tours".

An unforgettable stay in this magnificent house ideally located in the Fes medina. Suzanna is very responsive, gives great tips. The on-site contacts are nice and very accommodating. Especially ordered the meals offered by Suzanna, they are DELICIOUS! An obvious recommendation! Thank you Suzanna!

We had a lovely stay at Dar Malika. The transfers went great both in the way and on the way back. Taxis booked by our host were at the rendezvous even at 3:30 am! The accommodation is beautiful and very spacious. It is very well equipped. The decoration immediately immerses us in the Moroccan world, which contributes to the change of scenery. The terrace is extraordinary and offers an unobstructed view of the medina. The Dar is in the heart of the medina and shopping areas. There are plenty of restaurants nearby! At night, once the shops are closed, the medina regains its calm and we slept very well. We are delighted with our stay. We recommend Dar Malika without hesitation, her location is really optimal.

Very nice place, a bit fresh inside in March but there are more than enough heating options. Balcony is also very great and you have less than 100 meters to the market in the medina 😁 We were very satisfied with the place!

Suzanna was very responsive, friendly and helpful. The house was big and the roof top terrace was a real highlight. Sometimes it was a bit too dark and cold in the living room but that was due to the season (February). For summer, this cooling effect is probably exactly the right thing. In the bed rooms, there are several possibilities for additional heating which we appreciated a lot during the cold nights. At our arrival, the pick up of the manager went smoothly. We were a bit surprised that the house had one bed room less than we expected to have. But it was not a big issue for us. Despite the fact that we were travelling as young women, we felt very safe in the house and also with all the staff that we met in person. At the checkout, there were some communication problems but everyone was very nice and comprehensive and we could leave our luggage in the house for some time. We would definitely recommend you to stay at this place, especially in summer.

Very nice riad, ideally located. However, contrary to what is stated in the listing, the fourth bedroom (the one with the TV, which seems to be the best) was not accessible. Indeed, a door was locked, and when I tried to open it, I discovered that it was blocked on the other side, apparently with a human presence inside. Faced with this deception, I decided to give a rating of 1. I'm sorry I don't have the time or energy to file a claim with Airbnb.

One of the most beautiful Riads imaginable. Felt like stepping back in time to a medieval Arabian tale. Everything was perfect and host was very responsive with few minor issues. Only problem we had was washer and dryer not working as per the listing. The washer left everything in soaking water, we tried several different settings and dryer was super weak, we ended up hanging everything. Fortunately despite the cold weather our clothes dried. But aside from that it’s totally worth it!

Very well located accommodation and consistent with the photos that makes it very easy to discover Fes! The Dar atmosphere is very nice and the rooftop terrace really ideal for enjoying the calm. Suzanna is very responsive and offers guides to visit the city and good restaurant addresses. Truly a great stay!

Very nice accommodation arranged according to Moroccan traditions. Well-stocked kitchen, just a gas power problem between the oven and the cooking spouts at the stove, despite the gas cylinder change. Well-located accommodation in the Medina, close to streets with restaurants and shops. Everything could be visited on foot from there. We are very happy and would recommend this listing!

Dar Malika is a haven of tranquility in the heart of the hectic medina of Fez. Close to the Ain Zliten car park and 10 meters from the Talaa Kebira shopping street, the Dar is clean, comfortable, very well equipped and decorated. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts prepared by the charming Rachida and tasted on the panoramic terrace. We will stay there again with pleasure!

Lovely enjoyed our stay! In the middle of the Medina with everything within walking distance. The pick up and drop off service to and from the airport was great. We were met after the ride by the house manager who guided us to the house. The house is clean but also old, making some things difficult to maintain. All in all very much enjoyed a wonderful time in Fes!

This is a lovely Riad in Fes old Medina. We enjoyed the property and how authentic some of the original features were. I loved the little window above the bed. Mouaniss took us on a tour around the Medina and the children had a great time exploring. only issue was not having time to enjoy the Medina by ourselves! Would recommend to friends and family seeking a similar experience. Fes is a beautiful city. Thanks

We had a fantastic stay at Suzanna's beautiful house in Fez. Very well located in the medina, only a 5 min walk to the drop off point for taxis, quiet and atmospheric. We particularly appreciated the roof terrace at the end of our long days of sightseeing and shopping. Everything worked out well with the recommended tours and visits, with a special thank-you to Mouanis the property manager who took us on a complete guided tour of Fez and answered all of our many questions about Fez and Morocco in general. We also enjoyed our day trip to Volubilis - highly recommended. Also many thanks to Rachida for the wonderful (and copious) breakfast every day. Thanks again for your hospitality! Helen

We spent 2 nights in this Riad dedicated to us (there were 5 of us), it was very comfortable, in the heart of the median but quiet. We were able to have breakfast on site because a lady came to prepare it for us (extra charge). It was very good and hearty. We also had tea on the great terrace. The manager made himself available to welcome us and offer us his transportation or guide services. Everything was fine.

We had a great stay in Dar Malika! What a wonderful place to stay for a couple of days. Very old house, but wonderfully renovated what gives it a very special atmosphere. The rooftop terrace was superb. Location in the old medina, but very peaceful and quiet place. Communication with the host was excellent. Can recommend this accommodation and host to everybody!

We had a fantastic stay at Suzanna's Airbnb in Fez. The communication with the host was excellent, and the place itself was charming and spotlessly clean. The highlight was the amazing rooftop terrace, perfect for breakfast. Just be sure to book breakfast in advance! I highly recommend this place for families or friend groups traveling together. The property manager was friendly and provided great recommendations for day trips, drivers, and restaurants. The only minus point was the fact that our recommended Fez Medina tour lacked historical information and leaned more towards a shopping tour. Nonetheless, even the shopping was still an enjoyable experience!

Suzanna's Riad is simply amazing! It was spotless clean, quiet, safe and cozy. The best one we stayed in our two weeks trip in Morocco! Suzanna as a host was excellent: she always answered within a minute, was kind and gave us a lot of recommendations for the city! A true professional. Don't even think about it, just book it. We recommend it 110%. Thank you so much Suzanna and Mouaniss!

Wonderful Dar for family and friends in the heart of Medina. It’s actually more beautiful than these photos published. If you’re coming with elders, be aware of lots and high stairs like any Fez houses. Suzanna was very helpful and she's an ideal host and her property manager too.

This place was worth our stay, but there are some things to be aware of. The temperatures were very high while we were there. There are steep, narrow stairways up to each level. Only two bedrooms had connecting bathrooms with A/C. The other two bathrooms were warm. The air conditioning unit in one bedroom went out, so we couldn't use it. It was a struggle without that room. They apologized and attempted to fix it, but no reduced rate or free breakfast was offered (nothing extra) even though we couldn't use the room. It was fairly quiet, but some windows let in the heat because they didn't latch properly. Overall, they were small issues. The main issue was the heat, so naturally, this older home struggled to combat the extreme temperatures outside. It was still worth staying here for a bigger group (4 adults and 4 kids). We had the whole place to ourselves.

A very located apartment right in the heart of the medina. Close to restaurant bars and shops Great host organization. Transfers airport accommodation all managed by host. The icing on the cake, the person who welcomed us, very warmly, also found us for the next day a guide who allowed us to spend the day in the medina without getting lost and going directly to the basics. Breakfasts were prepared on site, are hearty and very good with local flavors.

the riad is very conveniently located on the edge of the Medina, within walking distance and a good starting point for exploring the medina. the house is cozy, it looks inhabited, not sterile or impersonal. you'll have your own private empire, but feel right at home with friends. the 300-year-old riad has its own charm. Of course, its own sounds. Two of the bedrooms are over the walkway of the medina. A certain soundscape is there. the riad is equipped with many original furniture. the kitchen fully equipped, there are plenty of dishes, cutlery, cups,.... a large gas stove is available for cooking. the bathrooms are equipped with great towels and soap, shampoo and hand soap. excellent hair dryer in every bathroom. Air conditioning in the bedroom and a spacious roof terrace complete the stay.

A real riad in the heart of the medina with all modern comforts, renovated and maintained with great tastes. We didn't see Suzanna but the communication was great with her. On site, we met Mouaniss who was very available, perfect bilingual and accommodating! We were traveling with a 6 month old baby and a 3 year old child. This raid is perfect, just watch the stairs. Possible meals, super good and reliable taxi transfer. Thank you!

A beautiful home in a beautiful city! We had an excellent time staying at Suzanna’s riad in the heart of the Fes Medina. Great experience, and many thanks to everyone who made it so :)

A good accommodation if you want to visit the medina de Fes. It is located one minute from the main street and about 5-10 minutes from the blue gate. At all times we have felt well cared for by the tenants, both at the airport pick up and to offer us guided tours and transportation to other villages. We did a guided tour organized by the house and had a great time, the only failure was that the place where I took the guide to eat was not worth it, very expensive and nothing especially good, since you can find very good and very cheap places, but otherwise everything was great. Thank you very much for everything!

A MUST STAY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Incredible. We went for my sister's 30th birthday and loved it! Suzanna was incredibly helpful and responsive leading up to us going, helping with restaurant recommendations, booking airport transfers, organising breakfast and so on. We inundated her with questions and she was very lovely and answered them all and was a fantastic host. Mouanis, the house manager, was FANTASTIC. Always on hand and friendly, he was a great help in Fès, organising trips for us, answering late night queries and worries, and generally being great! The breakfast was delicious and I highly recommend adding that onto your stay. Dar Malika is a great house, the bedrooms are a lovely size, three double/king beds and one room with two singles. The rooftop was much bigger than expected and it was beautiful. comfy seats and fantastic views. I cannot thank Suzanna and Mouanis enough, they made the trip very special and fès is wonderful.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dar Malika! It is the perfect homebase for exploring Fes. Beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and close to many restaurants and shops. We loved all the interior decor and the amazing rooftop terrace! Suzanna was excellent at communicating with us prior to check-in and gave clear instructions on what to expect. She also helped arrange an airport transfer and a delicious breakfast for us on our first morning. The house manager Mouaniss was also very kind and accommodating! We are pretty low maintenance travelers but anytime we did reach out he was very quick to respond. He also helped arrange our airport transfer leaving Fes and was helpful with carrying our bags upon arrival and departure. Highly recommend Dar Malika for a relaxing stay in Fes!

Dar Malika was a phenomenal stay for our group. This was our first stop on our Morocco journey and it was a stellar experience. Suzanna set us up with the property manager, Mouaniss, who was extremely helpful, communicative and welcoming. We arrived after midnight and he came to meet us at the suggested parking spot and led us into the Medina to our Airbnb. We were very grateful for this as the Medina is essentially a maze! We opted for breakfast on the first morning which was delicious and great value. Mouaniss also set us up with a local tour guide which I would recommend to get a lay of the land. The space itself was beautiful and full of thoughtful touches (heat pads, on site laundry, decor) and the view was spectacular from the rooftop. Overall, 5 stars across the board and would recommend this spot to anyone.

An amazing stay at Dar Malika. This is a special place. The Dar is absolutely huge. So nice to have a quiet space in such a fantastic location to relax and unwind from the day. Riad very well located. Easy to access by taxi and clean. Friendly welcome from the person in charge of the place. However, a few downsides: No drinks order possible (as indicated in the description). We asked to be called back by Suzanna but no answer... the guard seems to ignore the service offered and not inclined to take care of it. A simple bottle of water on arrival would have been appreciated too. The Riad matches the photos but quite dated. 90s vibe. We order the services of a guide as offered to us. The latter (without a badge) will take us around the "tourist trap" stores and not much more.

Suzanna is such a lovely lady and went above and beyond to making sure we were at home. I went with my sisters and friends for my 30th birthday and this house really made the trip special! Her new house manager Mohammed Mouissana is so respectful polite and helpful he arranged for us to eat at a restaurant at late hour and book taxis for large groups multiple times even last minute he was always very polite kind and professional. When we checked in he made us the best tea (which we tried to replicate and failed!) great team looking after a beautiful house. Very safe with a gate that locks once pushes shut! Can’t wait to come back to this gorgeous house and beautiful Fes!

Great stay at Dar Malika. We had the house to ourselves for 7 people. Everything was done to ensure a good stay. The house is well redone and the terrace is very pleasant. A very good welcome and top-notch communication, a manager who takes care of everything. We had breakfast: a mix between local and continental (very hearty). Suzanna works with a very good transport company and at very reasonable prices for taxis and excursions to nearby cities. Go ahead, you will have a very good stay!

Wow, so where to begin! Fes was our (my father and I) first stop on a month long trip to Marocco visiting different cities/regions of this amazing country. Prior to our arrival all contact with Suzanna was great. She was a very responsive and helpful host, helped set up a driver from the airport to get us and our luggage to Dar Malika, got us a guide for a full day and answered all the questions we had. Upon arrival the house manager, Hassan, became our main contact point and within the first few hours besides showing us around the wonderful house, he had taken my father to the local tailor to have his pants fixed, shirts delivered to the cleaners and taken me to get SIM cards and our phones set us with local phone numbers. Super efficient and quickly became indispensable for us more about Hassan later :). A few words about the house - Dar Malika. It is a very beautifully decorated, personal and comfortable house and has everything and more you will need. The lounge is super comfortable to chill in (with a SMART TV), the kitchen has all supplies needed to cook, should you wish to and the bedrooms upstairs are very comfortable. Both bathrooms (one ensuite and one a few steps from the smaller bedroom with two single beds) were great too and the roof top is huge with several tables, sunny corners, soft benches for naps under cover from the sun and an amazing 360 view! The location is also great, it is quiet, but just walk a few hundred feet and you are right smack in one of the main arteries of the Medina. If you order breakfast (highly recommended to try at least once) Hassan will prepare a huge and delicious breakfast, where he brings you local specialities, freshly baked of very high quality, cooks you eggs any way you like etc. Hassan would every day have helpful tips for us about navigating the medina, how to negotiate prices and he would go out of his way to help us make reservations, helped us get to places if needed and really made our first days in Marocco very very special!! A true gem that we cannot thank enough! All in all, Dar Malika has our absolute highest recommendations, as does a visit to Fes. The Fes medina is my favorit of all the cities we have visited so far (Meknes, Casablanca and Essaouria...now just arrived to Marrakech)! Thanks again Suzanna and Hassan. We hope to be back one day!

Suzannas place was lovely especially the gorgeous terrace with amazing views of the Medina and beyond. Would highly recommend. Great spot, close to shops but surprisingly tranquil when inside and away from the hubbub of the streets. We found the locals very friendly and helpful. The Medina is quite daunting to start with but we managed to find our way around without a guide, keep looking at the signs, that helps. Highly recommend the Fondouk Bazaar to eat and the Messini spa for a Hammam and massage followed by lunch at the nearby vegetarian restaurant Veggie Pause

Wow. Dar Malika is fantastic. What a lovely place to stay. Clean, central and charming. Massive breakfasts and we also availed of a lovely evening meal one night. We would most definitely stay here again.

Thank you. I know I asked a lot of questions and as a host of two properties myself I often want to say “look it up”, I assure you I did first before asking. Thank you for everything and I look forward to getting your book.

We had a pleasant stay thanks to Suzanna. Exceptional view of the Medina of Fez with a location that allows total immersion in the city. Photo compliant and cleanliness at the meeting. Beautiful traditional decor. Very responsive host, and quiet place compared to the excitement that may be in the medina!

Suzanna's place was wonderful! My family and I spent a few days there during a trip and had a spectacular time. The property is so spacious, all of the rooms and bedrooms have so much interesting detail, and it's a very comfortable place to relax after a long day of exploring. It's located in the heart of the Medina which makes walking around very easy. The breakfast was very good and Hassan was helpful throughout our stay. Suzanna was an amazing host as she was always available to answer questions we had throughout our stay about the property, and Fes in general. I would highly recommend this experience!

Suzanna did a great job communicating with us and was very accommodating of our needs. The location is perfect and about as clean as you can expect from such an old building in a desert. The air conditioning was EXCELLENT. The only negative aspect was that the local person she has help, though very respectful and polite, did not always meet our time needs. Overall it’s a great value and we would stay there again. Thank you, Suzanna!

This was a wonderful experience! Suzanna went above and beyond to help with navigating the rest of our trip, in addition to providing a wonderful place to stay inside the Médina! We would certainly stay there again!

Superb riad, it has everything you need and more. It’s located in the middle of the Medina but it’s also very quiet. It’s beautiful and well taken care of. The breakfast is delicious and Hassan helped us a lot with taxis and locations to visit. I’d definitely go back!

The kitchen was left slightly unkempt from the previous guests that morning (coffee in the machine) and the bathroom had some draining issues. The downstairs bedroom was a bit musty and needed airing out. Other than that we did find some of the quirks charming and the terrace and the view was spectacular. Si is extremely kind and gracious. So-Mohamed was very helpful. Lovely place in an amazing location.

We have stayed in Airbnb’s around the world, and this was definitely among the best. Communication was excellent, both before and during our stay. Our local house manager, Si Mohamed was attentive, knowledgeable, and most gracious. Our first night’s dinner, prepared by our hosts, was an experience not to be missed. One of our best meals in Morocco. Several things of note: one of the bedrooms is downstairs and outside the main entrance to the house. Additionally, the steps to the bedrooms are very steep. Neither of these were a problem for us, but future guests should take note as necessary. We plan to return to Fez again next year, and will definitely return to this property. Thank you for such a wonderful introduction to Morocco!

This Dar was amazing! Very clean, accessible, stylish, warm and cozy and with outstanding hospitality. The rooms were well designed. The Dar is nestled in a nice area in the Médina and the view from the rooftop at night was fabulous! Space heaters are a plus in December. Overall, AMAZING PLACE to stay!! Highly recommend!

The house is very well located, beautiful, as shown in the photos. Mohamed, the manager of the house, helps you in every way he can and always has a smile. We were scared because we had read that the area was a little unsafe and nothing, nothing, we moved around with no problem. Great breakfast; the food, which we asked you to prepare for a day, great, everything was delicious; the transfer from the airport to the house is perfect; the guided tour is totally recommended.

The Dar is an amazing place to stay. My family enjoyed everything for the hosts of the house, to the location, and the tours organized. Truly 5 stars! The only note is that this home is typical of those in the Médina, which means there are many stairs, which proved a challenge for my elderly grandmothers, they would happily stay again, but asked that I note that one should be prepared to walk up a few flight of large stairs.

This place is in a fantastic location within the Medina. You can walk to the Blue Gate in about 10 mins, and the gardens in about 15 minutes. The biggest tannery is about 15-20 minutes walk in the other direction. Both directions take you through the heart of the Medina. The house manager, Si Mohammed, prepared us breakfast every morning (additional cost) and was there for anything we needed, including booking day trips and offering general advice. He was very friendly and great with our kids. There are a few small problems, like the Wifi is quite slow, the front gate keys don't always work, and the shower in the 3rd bathroom leaks heavily onto the bathroom floor (but the other two bathrooms were fine). But despite a few problems, overall it was a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend it.

Our stay at Suzanna’s Dar was nothing short of magical. Suzanna is an amazing host who graciously gave us recommendations for a guide & drivers that were excellent. Her house manager Simohamade made us feel at home during our entire stay with genuine kindness and helpfulness. The home is incredibly charming and evokes a sense of history and culture while providing all of the amenities a modern traveler might want (great WiFi, beautiful bathrooms with fantastic water pressure, AC and even a washer and dryer!). Also the Dar is located in a great area of the Medina... just steps away from cafes, shops & the narrow winding alleyways that are the signature of the Fes Medina. Our experience was marvelous and Suzanna’s Dar will most definitely be our home away from home on our next visit to Fes.
