We had a great stay in a beautiful accommodation! The accommodation is very well located, in the heart of the medina. Everything was perfectly clean. Each room is tastefully decorated in a Moroccan style; we were amazed 🤩 We received a very warm welcome from the on-site manager, who also helped us throughout the stay to organise our activities or trips. I would recommend it in a second!

This Riad is magnificent. It matches the description provided, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. Suzanna and Abdelilah arranged an airport transfer for us with Brahim, who was very friendly and punctual. A magnificent view of Fez from the roof terrace. Perfect location in the medina. We had a wonderful stay. We highly recommend it +++

This Riad was our gateway into the magic of Fes. The house has managed the balance of a meticulous restoration of its historic craftsmanship while sensitively introducing modern conveniences. It felt like a palace to us! The house manager Abdelilah is kind and helpful and ensured everything was managed perfectly. As importantly, the host Suzanne provided introductions to one of the top guides in Morocco, who lives in Fes. Fatima organised everything we needed - including getting us the wonderful driver Seddik. Together they collected us from Rabat and organised a fantastic tour of the ancient Roman site Volubilis before bringing us to Fes. In Fes they arranged artisanal workshops and gave us an informative walking tour, tailored to our wishes. They even arranged for Seddik to take us out of the Medina to a local restaurant which was the best meal we had during our 3 week trip to Morocco! In summary, we can't recommend this AirBNB highly enough! Thanks to our hosts and guides!

Everything was excellent. The house was impeccable, classic, a real treat to stay in. Very well located within the Medina. Fez has a lot of steep slopes, so having Suzanne’s help in arranging a karrossa (a local person who carries your luggage through the streets in a cart) and a taxi was crucial, and it was very easy thanks to her. Also great for day trips. Everything was excellent! Thank you, Suzanne and Abdellhia!

Don’t skip this Riad. I cannot recommend this place enough. The size is overwhelming. At 250 years old, the craftsmanship is awe inspiring. Suzanne was communicative and responsive to our questions. Abdelilah the manager helped us get transportation to and from train station seamlessly. We had private breakfasts each morning and the young woman was a delight. Their breakfasts are no joke so work up an appetite! They provided fresh fruit, bread, water bottles for each room, all included. It’s one block from one of the main arteries in the Medina. Perfect location for shopping and eating. One main highlight was Reda our guide secured by our host. He was simply amazing. Educated, kind, patient. Still young enough to have that energy and passion for his job that made our experience excellent. He took us to great shops and helped us avoid tourists traps. Only warning, the stairs are high. Be careful. Elderly parents traversed it well but just a heads up. 100% I would stay here again

We had an amazing time here. The riad is exceptionally beautiful and so much bigger than the pictures show! The open fire was lovely and very welcome as we stayed in the winter. The responsiveness of Suzanna and Abdelilah was so so quick everytime we had a question, which made our stay perfect as it was our first time in Fez. They helped us organise trips, taxis and find pharmacies etc. Thank you so much!!!

We absolutely loved staying here! Lots of room and the rooftop is a beautiful place to have some coffee or tea! It’s in a great location to take in the Medina. Suzanna was and Abedelilah weee very responsive and made it easy to get our bags down to the home. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Susana’s house in Fez. The property was in excellent condition and we were delighted to be staying in such an authentic Andalusian Riad. Its location was perfect for exploring the Medina, and we couldn’t have asked for a better base. Communication was clear throughout, and special thanks to Abdelilah, who went out of his way to help us transfer our luggage in and out of the Medina and made sure we settled in comfortably. His support really helped us feel at home and get the feel of the place right away. It was the perfect location — we only wish we could have stayed longer!

Wow! Such a magical place! Everything turned out to be exactly as described. There were large rooms that were cool and comfortable. The rooftop was majestic, with a panoramic view of the madina with mountains in the background! The riad is also surrounded by the most historic places in all of Fes. Great service! Abd Ilah and Naima were so helpful and kind! I also want to thank Susan who was great help to me and always responds immediately! Thank you guys for helping me make my stay at the riad comfortable, relaxing and fun! 10 out of 10, would recommend!

Everything was smooth and efficient. The fridge had been stocked with welcome food. A beautiful place. We were 3 generations staying in the Riad and I have to say that this is not a place for anyone 'older' or in any way wobbly to stay. Normal for Fez buildings but it could be worth mentioning in the house details....

I didn’t want to leave Suzanna’s place! This is the only way to visit Fez — staying in an authentic riad. The beauty really can’t be quantified in photos or in a review. It was perfect. A couple of points: 1) Another review mentioned stairs being steep but I did not find this to be true. There are stairs, like in any riad, but they weren’t as numerous or as steep as most other places in Morocco, in my opinion. 2) This is not “hotel perfect” — and you wouldn’t want it to be. The home breathes history… things like worn tiles are the quirks that convey its long rich life. It is a privilege to stay in a place like this. 3) If offered, get the breakfast! It was really nice to have that. I’d stay a thousand more times. Don’t hesitate!

A beautifully restored riad and an oasis off the Medina. Huge space over many levels with a well appointed kitchen many bedrooms, bathrooms, plunge pool, washing machine and a sun bathed roof top. We loved our stay here. Suzanna was so helpful arranging a porter to help with bags and dinner cooked in the riad on our first night when we arrived in late. Thoroughly recommended!!

Staying in this Dar is like staying in a museum. For me the places that I stay are not just a place to sleep - this Dar was definitely beautiful, unique and historic. The listing says that it’s not hotel perfect, which is true, but if it was, it wouldn’t have been genuine. The only thing to think carefully about is that the stairs within the Dar are very steep - this is carefully noted in the listing before you book, so there is no suggestion that we weren’t aware of this, but I can confirm that anyone who has any sort of leg knee or ankle issue will struggle. It’s a great place to experience Fes from. The local caretaker was extremely helpful and responsive.
