We truly enjoyed our stay at Suzzana’s house, which is a spectacular place surrounded by nature and just a few kilometers from the village of Duras. The house is beautiful, cozy, and has all the comforts one could hope for. The pool, the barbecue, and the children’s games make the stay perfect. The house inside has lots of character with a wonderful split level living area. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Outside areas didn’t live up to the photos and some areas need improvement.

Perfect location to explore this beautiful area and close proximity to Duras. The view is amazing! Suzanna was very responsive, helpful with recommendations and we were fortunate that her chickens were laying eggs!

Suzanna was extremely friendly and welcoming on arrival. She provided us with some essential and luxury items of food and drink on our arrival. All a blessing as we arrived on a Sunday after the shops had shut. Both of our hosts were available and responsive to queries and requests. We felt very relax and at home during our stay and enjoyed many chat with them both. The place and surroundings looked exactly like the photographs. The facilities were as described and in good working order. Both upstairs bedrooms had working air conditioning units which were quiet, so great for the night. A modern and well appointed bathroom had been recently installed downstairs, perfect for those in the down stairs bedroom. A very quiet and beautiful rural setting with fabulous view. We all thoroughly enjoyed being able to swim in the pool which is a good size for a daily swim and cool off on the warmer days. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay with Suzanna and thank them for their hospitality.

We had such a wonderful stay at Suzanna's place. The external areas were stunning and the mix of private garden and the shared pool was really nice. Our boys loved the pool in particular. Inside was really comfortable and had everything we needed. We had such a wonderful welcome from Suzanna and her family and they were always on hand for a chat or to ask any questions, they made us feel really at home. The area itself was beautiful and peaceful, places were easy to get to and lots to do.

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Sandy and Suzanna’s gite in early September. The gite is perfectly placed on a hillside with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Two high chairs were kindly provided for our young twins. The kitchen had all amenities for day to day meals although I did struggle with combi oven.There was a little private garden and then a garden shared with the owners and the smaller gite. The pool area and shaded seating area were very pleasant. The washing machine facilities were great for us (with two babies and a toddler). Unfortunately we didn’t sit outside in the evening as there was a mini heatwave making it incredibly hot and the mosquitos particularly liked me. The boulangerie in Duras is great as is the large market in nearby Saint-Foye-La-Grande. St Emilion is 45min away for exceptional wine. The only downside for us was the sound proofing between bedrooms isn’t great so the children did wake each other every night but we still had a great time :)

Just returned from a fantastic week here. Such a friendly and helpful host, loved the suggestions of things to do. Beautiful location, relaxing yet with plenty of activities should you choose them. Would highly recommend staying here.

Suzanna and Sandy are very friendly and helpful hosts living on the premises. Very quite and private environment, only two appartements situated on the premises. Nice pool to cool off. Lots of activities in the area. We rented the spacious appartement for 6 people. Dont expect a modern kitchen or bathroom but all is there to do the works. Good beds (not too hard). Big modern TV with soundsystem for evening entertainment in case you dont want to enjoy the great view outside in the evening ;-)

Would thoroughly recommend staying here if you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday. House was great with huge downstairs space and 2 good sized double bedrooms + additional twin room. Really nice touches of local wine and picnic treats left by Suzanna. The pool at the house was wonderful with fabulous views and allowed for a relaxing holiday. The local town of Duras was very picturesque and there are many other beautiful towns in the area with 15-30 minutes drive. Suzanna is a great host, happy to recommend towns to visit and other things to do. My family really enjoyed our holiday. Thanks again Suzanna

Beautiful place in a beautiful part of France! This is really a top spot for a family with 3 children, hours spent in the lovely pool and relaxing in the garden. Suzanna was a lovely host and has thought of everything, including a welcome food and wine pack and air conditioning in the upstairs rooms, plus a vase of fresh flowers.

An incredibly relaxing stay in a beautiful setting. Suzanna’s gite was the perfect rural retreat for our group of 4 friends. Communication was excellent, we had everything we needed and the views all around of rolling fields, vineyards and cattle were gorgeous. The local area was beautiful, lots of small towns and villages to explore, including Duras only 5 mins drive away, and local vineyards. We used Suzanna’s recommendations to go horse riding which was a great outing, and sampled wine at Chateau Molhière. The clear night skies were incredible, stars to the horizon. Fabulous place!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at La Fleur de Savignac, the house is perfectly situated over beautiful countryside just outside of Duras. The pool, garden and dining area are great. And we loved playing boules too! Lots of lovely nearby towns and markets nearby to visit. We’d definitely love to return! Thank you Suzanna! Victoria

Suzanna is the most friendly host ever! The place is a true dream to stay! We stayed over with our 2 little kids and it is really kids proof. We had such a great time and will come back for sure. 5-star location!

Well located place in the countryside, very relaxing. Very charming accommodation with all the necessary amenities. A little extra for the garden side with the pool and barbecue that we were able to enjoy, there is even a location to play pétanque for amateurs. Suzanna is a very attentive and available host. Savignas-de-Duras is a pleasant and friendly fortified town to discover.

Very relaxing and peaceful location . Private location with great views of the valley. Pool, Pentaque and Barbecue were great amenities . Great welcome from hosts and helpful throughout our stay not obtrusive . Car essential to reach shops in Duras 3km away and to visit chateau’s etc . Would love to visit again for 2 week stay !

A magnificent house, surrounded by greenery. Careful decoration, superb swimming pool, undeniable comfort! A stay full of happiness in this magical place. The host, Suzanna's husband, was there. The house was very nice, very clean and complete with everything you need. It has a lovely garden and view and after using the bbq, we made long walks in the evening in the fields. Suzanna is a person who truly cares for her quests.

We spent a week's holiday in this haven of peace. Suzanna's house is in the countryside and offers a superb view of the vineyards, you can enjoy this even in the pool!
