The apartment is homely and free of clutter, which makes it a pleasant place to relax. It is in a quiet area but Lisbon being hilly, be prepared to workout walking around. Notwithstanding, with the cool weather and breeze, it made exploring the area a pleasant experience. There are many restaurants to choose from within a 1km radius including Michelin star restaurants. There’s a viewing point nearby where you can take in views of the city and the castle, and enjoy some nice coffee at the many cafes that dot the streets and corners. All in, a very pleasant stay. I would recommend the place anytime.

Attention everyone with toddlers/ kids: if you are looking for a kid friendly, amazing apartment in Lisbon- THIS IS IT!! It's a beautiful, large and very clean apartment with tall ceilings and an outside patio- very spacious for families. There was 6 of us and still a bedroom empty. It had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation with a toddler. So many toys!!!! A ride on bike, a crib, a toddler bed, highchairs, baby forks, spoons, plates and cups. Also the location was perfect- dt Lisbon but in a quiet family neighborhood. Within 5 min walking distance to 2 playgrounds. Additionally, Joao, Christina and Taryn were quick and easy to communicate with and all helped to make our stay extra special. We booked numerous excursions through them (sunset sailing, Sintra trip, wine tasting, Fado night) that were all amazing and top of the line. We felt safe knowing that we weren't getting scammed or ripped off. Do yourself and your family a favour- just book this apartment. It's worth it

Huge, well kept, quiet, and perfectly located - this apartment is a gem for any large group and especially for ones that include kids - the game room was a huge hit and is unparalleled to anything we have found at an Airbnb, in Lisbon or elsewhere. Moreover, Joao and team were incredible hosts, super attentive and helpful. Thank you!

Awesome location! We’ve stayed in Other areas of Lisbon and this was our favorite! This was a last minute booking due to flight cancellation and they were so kind about letting us check in early! We had an issue with the electricity and they were very responsive and even helped us with our Laundry!!!

We had a wonderful stay here as a family of 8, including two young children. The place was well stocked with toys, high chairs, kids dinnerware. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean. We did experience some street noise at night - garbage trucks, and people talking at 3 am (the street is narrow, so sound is amplified), but overall the street was quiet and the neighborhood felt very safe. A 5 minute walk or less to a small grocery store, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. An easy walk to the nearby park with a playground and bus stop.

The place is in a great location for walking the city and enjoying restaurants and bars/clubs. We had the best time. The points came off of my rating because of the neighbors upstairs. I swear they did military drills from 6AM until 2AM every day walking back and forth non-stop and knocking over a chair at each end of their house. It was constant and very very irritating. If you are a light sleeper this place will not work for you. The second major issue was the beds. Thankfully it was only three of us, because there were three very comfy beds. The other beds were not usable. They were like sleeping on stacked plywood. I couldn't believe there was such a difference. Next, the "AC/Heat" is ONLY in the bedrooms. The living room, kitchen, hallway and bathrooms were freezing while we were there. We made it work by using the fans to blow heat into the hallways. Lastly, the place was "clean" but a typically well worn AirBnB. No idea how this got a 4.96. But it wasn't bad.

This was a great location for our family. We could walk to all the highlights, but enjoyed being in a quiet neighborhood just around the corner from shops and restaurants. The apartment was clean but there was just a bit of mold in the shower. The bedding was nice and crisp which was greatly appreciated. There was a strange noise in the hallway that seemed to be coming from plumbing or an ac unit outside of the apartment. It was pretty loud, but thankfully when we closed the bedroom door it did not keep us awake. This noise was primarily at night. Overall, this was a very good experience and I high recommend it for families. Our granddaughter loved her bed and the toys she found there!

We stayed at Joao and Taryn’s place for for business/pleasure. It is very large and has plenty of space. The patio was a nice addition for morning coffee. You could open the sliders to the dining room/kitchen. Had a great parking space not far from the apartment. Great restaurants within a 3 minute walk. All in all it is a great place if you are visiting Lisboa.

This place is excellent for so many reasons. 1) It’s a great combination of being spacious and one floor living. 2) The host is very responsive and even met up with us to orient us to the space and give us specific tips based on what we wanted to do (in addition to the plethora of suggestions they already give). 3) It is PERFECT for a small child—so many toys that our little one enjoyed. 4) Comfortable beds 5) great location with good restaurants and parks in walkable distance. The only disadvantage is that the owner is not interested in selling us the place :). Thanks so much for everything.

We had a great stay. The unit was ideal for our group of 8 and was especially well suited for young children. The playroom was a real hit and the unit was located close to some great playgrounds. We enjoyed spending our mornings drinking coffee and having pastries while the kids played. We really appreciated being within walking distance to so many great restaurants, parks and sights while it still being quite quiet at night relative to many other popular neighbourhoods in Lisbon.

This apartment was perfect for our family of 5. It was clean and in a wonderful area full of restaurants and parks. But mostly the hosts were incredible and so kind. They helped us set up unique street art tours and day trips outside the city and were very responsive and attentive. We felt like we had a good friend in Lisbon.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The location was perfect — nestled in beautiful Príncipe Real, surrounded by amazing eateries and just a short walk to a lovely little park with a playground, which our kids loved. Since we’ve been to Lisbon before, we weren’t focused on the typical tourist spots, and this area gave us that local, lived-in feel we were after. The apartment itself was even more spacious than the photos suggest, comfortably accommodating our three families. Check-in and check-out were seamless — we were warmly greeted and shown around upon arrival. As a family traveling with young kids, we especially appreciated how child-friendly the apartment was. It had everything we needed: cots, high chairs, a baby bath, and even a playroom full of toys that was a huge hit with our 3-year-old! The only minor issue was a bit of a smell in one of the bathrooms on the first day, but we think it’s just typical Lisbon sewage, other than that we had a great time

Great stay! The photos don’t depict how enormous the space is. The ceilings are 12+ft high, which was a lovely surprise. Due to the size, the apartment does have an echo, which can be alarming when a toddler drops something. The fully stocked toy room for my children was perfect. The location was great and had lots of restaurants/parks locally. The only thing that was mildly off putting was an occasional smell coming from the toy room and under the sink, but not from lack of cleaning. We couldn’t really figure it out, but nothing a bit of freshener couldn’t fix. Otherwise, it was a great place to plant our family in lisbon.

The apartment is very big. However, it’s not as new or clean as the photos make it seem. The lack of AC was a bit of an issue for us, as the windows would not stay open and the fans were quite small. It is decently walkable to the main tourist areas of Lisbon and is nearby lots of restaurants. It met our needs, but I don’t think we’d stay there again.

Loved staying at this place, it was perfect for our family with two toddlers under 2. The park/square nearby with the small kids playground and restaurants was a great area for all. The place was spacious and had lots of kids items and toys. Would highly recommend particularly for a family with little ones!

We recently stayed at this Airbnb for a family vacation and had a great experience overall. The location couldn’t be better – it’s as good as it gets! The building is old and charming, which adds a unique touch to the stay. However, the unit wasn’t the cleanest, which might be partly due to the age of the building. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the host's communication – some of the best I’ve experienced on Airbnb. They were responsive and helpful and had plenty of local recommendations. While the place could easily accommodate six guests, we were just four, so it didn’t feel like the best value for the money. Parking is not attached, so it is a bit of an inconvenience with small children and luggage. Overall, it was a good stay, with a few things to keep in mind when booking!

Our stay in Lisbon was fantastic, and this Airbnb was the perfect home base for exploring the city! The central location made it easy to walk to so many great spots, and having a garage space available nearby was a huge bonus for our rental car. The home itself was spacious and easily accommodated our group of seven. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. Communication with the host was smooth and easy, making check-in and check-out a breeze. We stayed for three nights with two boys, aged four and one. The apartment is well suited to family groups with small kids. There are lots of toys/space for the kids to move around and keep entertained. The place itself is really super. Comfortable, spotless, well equipped. The location is quiet, which was perfect for us. We travelled with the two grannies also. It is quite hilly in the locality but everywhere in Lisbon with such accommodation is. Travelling by tram is nice for a novelty but not reliable so we often got an Uber back from where we had spent the day. Overall I couldn’t recommend this apartment more. Felt safe and secure, didn’t want for anything and super attentive owner.

This was the perfect place for our month long stay with a baby. The hosting team was incredibly responsive and quickly dealt with the few minor issues we had, and were very accommodating of our extra needs (due to the baby). It is on a quiet street but very well located and a short walk from everything you need. The place itself was clean and spacious, and felt bigger than it was due to the layout. Highly recommend for a stay, especially if you are travelling with children as there are many toys and children’s beds, etc

We really enjoyed Taryn and João’s home, which was conveniently located with 3 great restaurants around the corner and a park, more restaurants and a grocery store down the hill. Our kids loved the play room and took advantage of all the toys. Our great hosts sent someone to meet us for check in, which helped us figure out the parking garage and gave us a list of recommendations. We had a wonderful time in Lisbon and appreciated the extra effort the hosts went to to make our stay enjoyable!

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is roomy, beautiful, and conveniently located near two parks, restaurants, and mini marts/groceries. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few back-up meals for a kid with food allergies. Lisbon was very hot while we were there, but the apartment stayed relatively cool and there are plenty of fans.

This apartment made for a perfect stay in Lisbon. It was even more spacious than the photos suggested and the kid-friendly spaces were a big hit with my 15 mo. old nephew. The location was perfect for us: close enough to walk to all the main sites, while still being a quiet residential neighborhood at night. What truly set this experience apart, though, was the incredible hospitality. Christina, Joao and their entire team really went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was memorable. We were in Lisbon for a few days before my sister’s wedding in the countryside - not only did they help us book airport transfers and make any other arrangements we needed (including providing excellent, personalized local recommendations), they also helped us organize a wonderful private sailing trip for a large group of family and friends who were also in town for the wedding, which was one of the highlights of the trip! I cannot recommend strongly enough - stellar hosts!!!

Our stay at João's place in Lisbon was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, making us feel right at home in this vibrant city. Great place in a great location. Apartment in an old building but renovated, good beds and linens, excellent playroom (we travelled with two toddlers). We did have a couple of hours when the electricity went out in the apartment, but it was at night and came back on without us raising an issue.

The location is really great if you enjoy living like a local in their neighborhood (which we do). What a lovely home in Lisboa! A very spacious apartment in a great neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shops at your fingertips. My wife and I were traveling with my parents and two year old son and this was truly a great location to accommodate everyone’s needs. The kids play room was a big plus. We stayed in this lovely and cosy apartment at the start of September. It is on a small and very quiet street. The street and building itself needs a bit of TLC but the inside of the apartment is great! High ceilings, very nicely decorated, its own private patio and comfortable beds. Everything worked perfectly and there was absolutely nothing we needed to buy during our stay. The apartment had everything! As its on the 1st floor there are some steps to walk up but it was easy for us with the kids. We travelled with a 4 and 1 year old. The apartment was perfect for children with a high chair and its own playroom full of toys and books! This was just amazing for them and kept them busy and entertained!! The rooms were dark and we heard nothing from the streets below. There is also a playground in a park just a couple minutes walk away. Communication for any questions we had was also super. If I came back to Lisbon with the kids I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

The apartment is lovely. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. The neighbourhood felt safe and there are some lovely shops, cafés and bars, and a fantastic view over the city close by. Joao and Tomas were very helpful throughout our trip, offering flexible check in, local recommendations and making bookings on our behalf. They were excellent hosts. We were able to walk throughout our stay in the city, but the apartment is close to public transport if you need it. The parking space in the secure garage was a big bonus.
