The stay was excellent. The beachfront view was beautiful, and the sound of the ocean made the experience even better. Communication was warm, responsive, and very helpful throughout the stay. I’d definitely recommend this place and would happily return.

The place itself and its location, private inside but right above the shops and restaurants and just a 2 minute walk from the lighthouse were as spectacular as the view from the flat towards the ocean. Equally spectacular was our hosts' hospitality. Starting with late check-in, made very late by a flight delay, all our wants and needs were accommodated with ease. Communication was proactive without being intrusive throughout. This accommodation together with the experience Debs and Alan provided turned my entire perception of uMhlanga from a business waypoint to a holiday destination.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Deb's Place, and I can't wait to share my experience! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Jasen, who has a knack for making guests feel right at home. The cozy atmosphere and charming decor instantly put me at ease. My room was beautifully appointed, boasting all the comforts I could ask for. I particularly loved the little touches, like fresh bath towels and a little something something sweet waiting for me. Beyond the accommodations, Deb was incredibly helpful with recommendations for local attractions - especially when you're not familiar with the surroundings. Her passion for the area is infectious, and it added so much to my experience. Overall, my stay at Deb's Place was nothing short of wonderful. Deb and Alan are wonderful hosts. Deb goes out of her way to make sure guests are comfortable and happy. We have stayed with Deb before and have come back. If anything is missing, not working or if you just have a question, Deb is there to sort it out almost immediately! Deb is an amazing human being and we will always stay with Deb and Alan when in South Africa. Thanks Deb for taking such good care of us!

Debbie and Alan’s place was lovely! The space was beautifully decorated, and the AC was a lifesaver. Although we experienced some initial issues with the electricity, Debbie was responsive and helpful, even sent someone to bring us batteries for the lights. A cleaner was present everyday which made our stay more comfortable, as we’d always come back to a fresh and clean space. We appreciated Debbie's availability and hospitality. Would definitely recommend :)

Host met me on time at the parking garage & even helped me with my luggage as he showed me how to access the apartment. Sent the cleaning service on the specific day I requested. I extended my stay by 1 nite. Easy checkout. Will stay again…thanks!

Wonderful host. Due to accidents on Van Reenens, we were late arriving, but Debs was 100% accommodating for this. She also went out of her way to assist us when the microwave stopped working.

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was home away from home. Very clean and comfortable and again, the personal touches were so lovely and go a long way- especially for a tea drinker such as myself 😊 I would definitely have loved to stay longer or book for another week or 2 but unfortunately the price was a little too high to extend for such a long period of time. We will go back again when we want to treat ourselves. I loved how safe it felt and the decor was superb!! Deb is an amazing host and a very warm and kind soul. lovely stay!

Debs’s place is exactly as advertised. Great location, in the middle of the vibey Umhlanga Rocks action with lots of restaurants and grocery stores downstairs. Appropriately equipped and free of clutter; clean, short walk to the beach and ehailing available at the doorstep as we did not hire a car. Debs and Alan are very helpful and responsive hosts and made us feel right at home. Daily housekeeping service was a big bonus and shout out to Precious who took care of the apartment when we were there. Always respectful, friendly and went about her work quietly and quickly! Great (and patient!) welcome from Celene, and Debs and Alan amidst our delayed arrival due to challenges with our arrival logistics! Recommend the place.

Our stay at Deb’s place was excellent. The location was perfect for shopping , dining , relaxation with excellent views . Easy access to major shopping centres . The apartment was exactly as advertised with access to all extras inside. Very clean ! Comfortable bed. Highly recommend Deb’s place for a short or long stay .

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Deb's place! The location was unbeatable - right in the heart of uMhlanga and within a 5-minute walking distance to the mall and the beach. The apartment's proximity to the mini-mall was so convenient, and made my stay that much more enjoyable. Deb and her husband were fantastic hosts - they were incredibly responsive and even set up a group for us to stay in touch. Deb's local recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing spots were spot on and really added to my overall experience. The apartment itself was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend Deb's place to anyone looking for a fantastic Airbnb experience in uMhlanga!

This is a lovely apartment in a great location. Lots of restaurants and cocktail bars in the immediate vicinity. We thought it may be quite noisy because of loud music being played in the area but it was in fact nice and quiet. The “strip” is great for people watching while you sip a coffee or a cocktail

Comfortable stay in a very central location. Simply down the lift to pick n pay for groceries and many restaurants and shops in Umhlanga village. Daily cleaning service was easy and left the place spotless and organised. Comfortable bed and linens, full dstv available, the aircon was amazing in bedroom and living area. Debs always updating on daily load shedding schedule helped us too. A high chair was available and overall the place was well set out to manage our baby's needs too. Thanks!

The stay was for my mom. She had the most lovely time for her week there, it was super close to all shops and the promenade was right there for her to do her morning runs. She would definitely stay there again. Debs and Alan made the check in for my mom super convenient and kept in contact about everything.
