I loved my time in Sylvia & Greg’s apartment on Cozumel. It was exactly what I was looking for - clean, peaceful, and within easy walking distance to the diving centres, shops, and restaurants. The hosts were lovely and communicative. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Cozumel.

The room itself is spacious with a a comfortable king bed, great AC and fan, amazing WiFi and quiet and safe neighborhood. Also loved the filtered water that was provided in the room.

Unbeatable location to enjoy the centre of Cozumel, you can walk to any of the best restaurants. There is an OXXO nearby and taxis just 3 blocks away. Perfect if you plan to be active all day and come back to rest in a quiet place with all the amenities you need. The hosts' service was always perfect and they were attentive to us all the time.

This was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few! The location was great, it’s surrounded by restaurants and shops that are very walkable. The beach is also not far! Greg greeted us personally and made sure we were familiar with the room. Coffee and water being included is a huge plus, which we enjoyed each morning while sitting on the balcony. You can tell Silva and Greg take a lot of pride in their villas and the cleanliness and design echos that! We will certainly stay here again.

Everything was very walkable, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating! It’s about a 10 minute walk to the pier and there are a bunch of amazing restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I highly recommend this place. The private pool was a very nice touch as well

Loud & constant construction immediately next door (as of mid-August 2024). It was extremely loud (concrete saw & jack hammer noises) and it went late into the evening and woke us up early in the morning. We could hear it through the walls of our room, and it was especially loud outside, making use of the pool impossible. Check with owners if construction is ongoing before you book. We had to reduce our 6 night stay to 1 night and find somewhere new. They refused to let us store our bags for the day when we checked out leading us to have to miss an excursion that was already paid for and have 1 less day to enjoy Cozumel. Upon departure I complimented Silvia on the room and location, and recommended that they let people know about the construction in advance. She looked daggers at me and was extremely curt. This would be a nice place to stay when there is no construction (apparently a French woman is building a bakery next door) so I just recommend you ask them in advance.

Great location! Greg greeted us and provided food/island information. It was nice to come back to nice room with good AC, comfy bed, and nice working shower. We were also able to relax in the pool after a long hot day. Definitely will try to book here again next time, I’m recommending it to friends.

A great place to stay on Cozumel! Greg and Silvia gave us the feeling to be at home. The apartment is very clean, the bed is excellent and the front yard with the pool looks gorgeous😍 Further, Greg and Silvia created a guidebook wich provides a variety of recommendations for restaurants, etc. It helped us a lot and we recommend that everyone should take a look in it. We highly recommend this place!

This was a great location to stay at — not too close to all the traffic and busier part of town but not too far away either. The room had lots of storage and the outside area was beautiful. It’s in a great location and near all the local restaurants downtown. As in the picture, there are two rooms on the top level so your neighbors are right there (so have to be mindful of noise and privacy). It’s clean and comfortable! Glad I stayed here as opposed to a big resort.

This place was everything we hoped for! Silvia has an app that you can download that tells you everything you will need to know. Greg was super fun to talk to when our paths crossed throughout the day. the location was perfect for us. it is off the main strip so it's quiet, but still easy to walk to the center of town. Silvia was easy to communicate with. There is a small fridge and plenty of drinkable water available. All the rooms were full when we were there, but the rooms were noise proof or tightly sealed because we never heard anything once we closed our door. If we ever make it back to Cozumel, we will look up Stingray Villa!!!

Loved Staying at Silvia's place the location not only provided beautiful views but was close to everything I needed during my stay in Cozumel. This area makes traveling super convenient whether solo or as a couple with the docks, restaurants and the Centro being only minutes away. I also felt super safe during my stay here. I cannot recommended this place enough!!!!

A quiet, well secured mini-compound in the middle of a safe barrio (neighborhood) 3 & 1/2 blocks from the main drag. Clean bathroom and shower, coffee pot and coffee included and a comfy bed. Small pool for cooling off after a powerwalk or a dive day. Silvia, Greg, and Abuela are great hosts, as are the two cats.

I hate to write a great review because that would mean that It would make it that much more difficult to book this place again in the future!😁😁 But this review comes well deserved. Excellent hospitality, super clean rooms Centrally located to downtown and the restaurants are walking distance... Having your own private pool was a plus. My wife and I felt very safe and secure while we were here. Everything here is as advertised!! They truly took their time in building this mini paradise to accommodate all of your needs while on vacation. Silvia was always available and we can't wait to come back!! I really enjoyed my working stay here. Perfect host in caring about their guest. Perfect communication and a great Airbnb host that provides all the basics for a nice getaway. The wifi was outstanding. The pure water to drink each day was great extra. The little pool was nice to cool off at night. This is a quiet place and the way I like it. Close to all the best places to eat and walking distance to just about everything. This is not a party palace. It’s a nice place you can call home and relax. Enjoy!

Everything was great! The location is perfectly nestled between all the happenings of town and a lovely neighborhood. It’s walking distance to just about everything....although I would suggest renting a scooter or jeep so that you a really explore the island....IT IS DREAMY🥰 Just a few minor things to consider.. 1. The sheets were fantastic. Very nice quality but missing a light blanket or quilt on the bed for extra comfort. If you ever wanted a Mexican blanket, this would be the perfect reason to grab one for a souvenir and use it right away. 2. It was great to have a fridge. They even pre-chilled a pitch of water. Very refreshing upon arrival. However, there wasn’t a microwave so reheating leftovers wasn’t an option...Guess you’ve gotta clean your plate😋. 3. The wifi speed was great for watching Netflix and streaming music, however the security was weak. So, if you plan on working remotely, but sure to check you system security requirements before you come. Greg & Sylvia have a lovely place and I would definitely stay again...especially so that I can enjoy the pool... I didn’t have time but it looks just like the photos.

The place is a studio in a closed courtyard, with a common pool, close to the touristy parts but not too close to be loud and busy - in fact it's super quiet. The interior seems to be brand new and sparkling clean, with a huuuuge bed. Greg and Silvia gave awesome recommendations for just about everything, and they all checked out. Kudos and thanks for first-rate hosting!

Staying here was a dream! It’s a great spot close to downtown. We felt safe walking around even at night. They offer great tips for the whole island that was so helpful. The pool was lovely. Netflix in the room was a nice perk for the days we needed to relax after having too much sun. There are great restaurants only a block away. Stay here, you will have a great time!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Silvia and Greg's villa. It was spacious, in a great location, and Silvia and Greg were super friendly hosts. Two other things that stood out: the pool was fantastic. I've stayed at several places with pools but in many boutique hotels or villas the pool is small and feels like no one really uses it. However, this pool was clean and super inviting. We would jump in and enjoy being at the pool at the end of each day. The TV set with Netflix was also a nice perk. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Cozumel.

You would need a car as they don’t have street parking for scooters. But overall I would stay at Silvia and Greg’s again! Clean, friendly, and they had coffee!

The room is just amazing and matched our high expectations being very clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The bed is huge and we slept very well. Everything around is just a few steps away (up to 15 min walking) and you are able to skip the horrible cruiseship part of Cozumel. However you will need a car to experience the great and wilder parts of Cozumel. Silvia and Greg were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. They provided us with great tips for food and places to visit. All in all we had a wonderful stay and can fully recommend to stay with Silvia and Greg!

When we booked this place we had high expectations because it looked so nice on the pictures. Well happy to say it was exactly how we imagined It. The villa is beautiful and the room was perfect. Massive king size bed with high quality sheets. Lots of space, beautiful shower, lighting speed internet. The pool is very nice and very clean. We ordered breakfast in the room to be delivered at a certain time and again it was on time and the breaky was delicious. One night we didn’t sleep very well because of the street noise mainly those damn dogs who barked non stop. When we mentioned it to Silvia and Greg, the next morning they left ear plugs and a note in the room to apologize even though it wasn’t their fault. They really go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible by providing you a five stars service. The description of the room says « couple paradise room » and indeed it truly was a paradise. Highly recommended!

Stylish room and villa located in the centre of San Miguel, walking distance of restaurants, bars and promenade. It’s a great place if you want to layback by the pool and relax. It doesn’t provide beach towels though, so you’ll have to bring your own to be able to enjoy Cozumel’s beaches.

We loved sitting in the garden patio/pool deck and experiencing the morning / afternoon and evenings out there! This property is close to downtown and we felt very safe the entire time. Silvia & Greg are a lovely couple who take suck good care of their guests and who are very friendly! We loved the location since it was a located away from all the tourists but not too far away from everything. We dived there with ScubaLuis which the hosts recommended and I can only recommend to do the same!!! ScubaLuis prefer quality over quantity. The hosts gave us a lot of advises on activities and places to eat. To minutes walk there is a La Casa de Hamburguesa which makes awesome and very cheap burgers! Very nice and clean. Silvia and Greg are very welcoming, great hosts! The apartment is a 15 min walk from the main square away. We mainly walked everywhere and took a taxi to get back, since the streets are not very well illuminated. All in one a good choice.

Super nice and very clean! We loved having fresh Chiapas coffee every morning in the room. The hosts were very knowledgeable and gave us lots of tips on the city. The only bad thing was that the hot water only lasted for 5 minutes. Other than that it was an great stay!

We loved staying at Silvia and Greg's. They both greeted us the moment we arrived and went through all the amenities and gave us a key. The room was large with lots of storage. The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were AMAZING! (I even noted the brand to buy some for home!) The bath towels were thick and soft. The air conditioner worked fabulous as well as the ceiling fan. They provided a small refrigerator in the room with a pitcher that we could keep filled with bottled water from the dispenser right outside our door. The pool was small but nice to be able to take a refreshing dip in. They also provide a freshwater basin for rinsing dive gear and a drying line. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet and we were always able to catch a cab right away. 50 pesos to the downtown plaza/ferry (15-minute walk), 100 pesos to the main cruise ship pier, 150 pesos to Sky Reef Beach Club. There are several small "stores" down the street to get snacks. If you want to visit the ruins we suggest renting a car from ISIS Rental (right downtown) for the day. It was $35 U.S. for a VW Golf without air. Round trip taxi would have been $75 U.S.

We enjoyed sitting outside in the morning have coffee. The garden is perfect place to start the day. The pool was refreshing and clean. You will not be disappointed. We will be back for sure.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Silvia and Greg's place. They are superhosts for a very good reason. By far one of the best experiences I have had on Airbnb! They met us on arrival and showed us around and were also there to see us off at checkout. Their instructions and guides are fabulously detailed and they go out of their way to ensure you are well looked after! Restaurant recommendations were perfect! The room itself was very comfortable and spotless. The coffee machine was divine in the mornings. You are located a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the island but also far enough to escape all the noise. I would without doubt book to stay again on our next trip. Perfect hosts in paradise!

Silvia and Greg are great hosts. I got everything I wanted from my trip to Cozumel staying at their place. It's a great value so I was able to spend my money on scuba diving instead. their recommendation of scuba Tony's turned out fantastic. Since it's in a real neighborhood I didn't feel super touristy. That's something I was worried about because of all the cruise ships coming through. It's walkable in 10 or 15 mins to everything. But it's also close to a couple good local places. The room was clean. The internet worked great. And it was very comfortable. I definitely recommend it, especially if you aren't into the resort thing and want to experience Cozumel in a more authentic way.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 9 days at the end of june. We had an amazing time staying with Greg and Silvia. They are very welcoming and friendly hosts who were there to help us with anything we needed and had lots of great tips. The room itself was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well furnished. Small touches like a power-strip for charging your electronics, maps to their favorite spots and fresh drinking water were much appreciated. Also, the property has a small pool and a garden that are shared which was nice. There's a clothesline outside in the garden which was very useful to dry our bathing suits and towels. The location was great for us, about a ten minutes walk or so from the Centro. Far enough from the tourist center to be nice and quiet, but also close enough that we could enjoy the restaurants there easily. Also, the property is only about 7 minutes minutes away from the Cozumel airport by cab. Overall, a great experience and value in every way. We would definitely return if we go back to Cozumel!

We had high expectations for our stay due to the amazing reviews and photos of the place. Silvia and Greg managed to exceed those expectations! What a little gem right off the heart of downtown Cozumel. We found the space to be perfect for us, and the location ideal! Many delicious restaurants close by (the food, you guys! what a surprise!); Le Chef and Guidos were our favorite! We rented a car for the week and found that to be the best way to explore the island and experience everything Cozumel has to offer. After long days of exploring, we looked forward to taking a dip in the plunge pool out back. What a perfect touch! Of course, Rosa can't be forgotten either. We looked forward to our daily visits from that sweet little pup. Cleanliness was also a priority for Silvia- had the place looking immaculate when we arrived, and came in every morning after we left to tidy up. We especially enjoyed brewing coffee in the room to start our days. I can't say enough great things about this place. Don't hesitate, book already if you're considering it! You won't regret it. Silvia and her place were absolutely wonderful. My girlfriend and I stayed for 8 nights and never wanted to leave! The room was absolutely spotless clean and the pictures portray it very nicely, it was actually more spacious than we imagined. You can walk to everything you would want or need in about 10-15 minutes but there are also plenty of taxis if you’d rather not walk. The coffee provided was great, we loved sitting outside by the pool in the mornings to drink our coffee. We had a visit from their dog Rosa each mornig as well and she is the absolute sweetest and helped us not miss our puppies so much! Silvia is SO sweet and very helpful if you need tips or suggestions. She provided a map of all of their favorite restaurants which we tried most of and all were amazing. We loved our time in Cozumel and hope to come back and stay at Los Alcatraces!

In a residential neighborhood about 10 blocks from the center of town...easy walking to dozens of restaurants. We always felt safe. Hosts were extremely quick to answer questions and communications. Small pool right outside room was a treat. Very quiet. Terrific home base for 4 nights in Cozumel. AC works great, plenty of hot water, and free coffee and small refrigerator. Super comfy bed. And Rosa the dog visited us daily.

Silvia´s place is really great and we could not have been more comfortable. The place is very clean and practically new, we really cannot find anything to criticize. The bed, pillows and sheets are excellent for a well deserved rest after touring the island. The shower has great pressure and the hot water comes out almost instantly. The AC and roof fan works perfectly. The area is safe, quiet and private. We did not use the pool but it was always clean as well as the garden area. I would recommend this place to everyone who wishes to stay in Cozumel, honestly I could not think of a better place. Silvia was always quick to answer to any messages or questions we had about the place or the island and made us feel welcomed at her place.

This is an amazing place to stay - hosts kind and helpful. It is a fairly short walk to everything and gives a good, local experience as it is outside the tourist zone. I highly recommend following the links that Silvia provides. We rented a car in our last day and regretted not doing it earlier! Cozumel has a lot to offer and driving yourself is the best way to take advantage. I would rate this with 5 stars; however, took one off for reasons completely out of the hosts' control. There are a number of local dogs who woke us up during the night. We are light sleepers, though, so if you aren't, don't hesitate to stay here! This is a great neighbourhood experience.

Silvia’s place is amazing! Clean room with everything you need, the property is beautiful, the hosts are gracious and so very helpful. Rooms are private and roomy. The garden and pool area are a nice addition that you won’t get at a hotel. There’s a wash tank and a clothes line to rinse and dry your dive/snorkel gear. Convenient to main roads, downtown, groceries, etc. I’ll be back ASAP!

We really enjoyed our stay at Los Alcatraz, the room was really clean (and cleaned daily), the neighborhood is really calm, and there's conveniences store less than 4 min walk. Communication was super easy and lots of informations (how to get to Cozumel from Cancun Airport, what to do, where to go eat etc) were provided by the hosts. Lots of restaurants / bars are within walking distance but we recommand to rent a scooter or a car to discover the island. If you love snorkeling go to Punta Sur! We stayed 4 days but wish we could have stayed more! Thank you again for everything, the stay was perfect! Bonus point for the excellent coffee!

Silvia and Greg are quintessential perfect Airbnb hosts. They are super friendly and have tons of great recommendations and advice. The space itself is kept immaculately clean and is a super relaxing place to recharge after snorkeling, shopping, exploring- whatever adventure (of which there are endless possibilities in Cozumel) you decide to dive into. We would highly recommend renting a scooter and going all the way around the island at least once. It's incredible to see all the different types of beaches and views, the southern most point of the island being one of the most jaw dropping sights we had the pleasure of enjoying. We also really enjoyed seeing the Mayan ruins at San Gervasio. We had a really outstanding guide, Ignacio (Nacho he told us ;)). He gave us lots of extra info to make our trip to Chichen Itza a few days later even more enjoyable and informative. He has a true passion for his work and really made the history come alive, as cheesy as that sounds. After all that, to come back to a quiet, clean and comfortable abode was really all a traveler could ask for. There's a small pool to cool off and relax in, a courtyard full of vibrant colors and the occasional visit from the furry friends of the host, and then a super cozy suite with all the essentials. It's almost hard to believe what a bargain it is on top of that. We would absolutely take any opportunity to stay here again and would suggest you do the same!

Hands down the most amazing people you will come across, and it reflects in their home. The place is just so cozy, beautiful, and homey. You will feel right at home, and Sylvia and Greg are just great. This is our second year staying with them, and they are part of the reason we keep wanting to come back to Cozumel every year! Hands down my favorite place to stay. It's always welcoming staying here. You have a beautiful and safe place with a wonderful and relaxing​ atmosphere. The pool is perfect for cooling off in the tropical heat and the places is perfectly located for walking distance to the pier, market or restaurants or even the grocery store. It's easy to catch a taxi or colectivo if you don't have a rental. I travel alone and I always feel safe and like I am family with Silvia , Greg and Rosa my dog away from home.

I have been going to the island for over 20 years and hands down these are the best accommodations that I have ever experienced. If you are looking for a quite, secure and impeccably maintained property at an unbelievable price. This is the place. Both Greg and Silvia are wonderful warm people that hand you the keys to the castle and then stay out of the way. However, they are always in the background making sure that your stay is a comfortable one. Silvia never sits still and is always tinkering something and Greg ( a mountain of a man) watches over all of it, insuring that everything is as it should be. I enjoyed them both immensely. The communication with them is top shelf. Show up a customer and leave a friend. Greg and Silvia have really figured it out.

I have stayed in many rent by owner places on vacation and this was by far the best so far: The price is very reasonable. The location is very central; close to the waterfront and main city but away from the touristy part of town...you get a flavor of the regular Cozumel. The hosts are absolutely fabulous: helpful, friendly, approachable & super kind. We were super early and they accommodated us and late to leave & they understood. They sent us maps, restaurant suggestions, &specific tips on how to get to their place from the airport including on how to avoid tourist traps & scams. The property consists of 3 units: one of which is the hosts' residence. The other two are separate rooms with their own bathroom. Our room was a good size for spending the nights; the little shared courtyard is clean and the garden beautiful, pets are very friendly. We fell in love with their dog Rosie; so welcoming & peaceful. The little pool is beautiful: we just never had time to use it! It didn't seem like it was heated. All linens and furniture were top notch. There's a coffee maker in the room with tasty coffee & herbal tea, & sweeteners (no creamer). There was a small fridge (no freezer?), no microwave in case you wondered. It all worked for our purposes as we only spent 6 nights and ate the delicious food at Cozumel restaurants. The room is air conditioned and the bathroom has a comfortable shower with adequate warm water and water pressure. They also provided purified water in a jug in the shared space. Daily cleaning was punctual and thorough. Silvia gave us several tips and helped us with anything we needed: iron & ironing board, she noticed that our rented scooter's tire was low on air and proceeded to fill it with air using her pump.... she really took care of us.., and was very kind and friendly. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe; we walked at night without worrying. Many restaurants & money exchange offices within walking distance. Absolutely loved our experience: I can't say enough about the location and the hosts... We really do hope we can stay there again in the future.

Silvia was a great hostess. The place is very cute and clean; the room very comfortable with everything we needed and nice big closets. AC, wi-fi, water pressure were fine. Coffee maker with coffee and all necessary accoutrements; drinking water; bug and sunscreen were available as complimentary amenities. The location is great; not on a tourist area but within walking distance of pretty much everything (including a tiny snack shop 2 houses down); and safe to walk around. Not a lot of taxes passing by.

Everything was nice and relaxing! Silvia and Greg were very accommodating from navigating us from the airport (we got lost on Cozumel's one-way streets!) to suggesting great places for dinner. Their place is close off a main road leading directly into downtown, which makes it easy to drive in and drive out. Some great surprises were the water pressure, quick-cooling A/C, the high-speed wi-fi, and the daily cleaning. We definitely looked forward to returning to our B&B each day after being out in the sand and sun.

The place was perfect for our relaxing stay in Cozumel. Since the home is located in the downtown part of San Miguel, we were able to eat and drink for less than the tourists coming in at the port. We rented a scooter and saw the entire perimeter of the island. The space was clean and comfortable. The AC worked great too, which was a plus! Greg and Silvia were amazing hosts - you can tell they love hosting guests their rooms. They were responsive and helpful with everything from scuba and restaurant recommendations to providing me tools to repair some scuba equipment. The room is welcoming, clean and comfortable - the bathroom was just renovated is brand new. I enjoyed spending some time in the pool to cool down and the rinse tub for cleaning scuba equipment was really convenient. The house is in a residential neighborhood, about 10 minutes from the touristy center and 15 minutes from the dock. Great if you want to avoid the hoards of cruise ship passengers who come in for the day!

Silvia and Greg were fantastic hosts! They met every need I possibly could have had. The room was comfortable, decorated nicely and well kept. The grounds with the various plants and flowers were a joy to wake up too. Rosa their dog was awesome always wagging her tail when I would come "home". The pool was perfect to cool off in after a long hot day in the sun. They are close to everything you could possibly want and or need. 5 blocks to downtown, close to all the native places too. I came prepared to go do my thing if you will and if I had any questions they could always answer. I have food allergies and they accommodated me perfectly. The first two mornings I woke up early, opened my fridge and had my packed breakfast provided for my journey on those days. It was perfect for my needs and desires. I can't wait to see them again next year! Very warm vibe here.

Better than any hotel. For the price you pay you could not ask for better service. Silvia and Greg are great people and show a lot of care and pride in the way they run this bed and breakfast. The room was beautiful, very clean and in a great location you can access everything from. They always had great recommendations from who to go to for diving (ScubaTony!) to where to get some cheap local cuisine, which i assure you is better than any of the waterfront restaurants. This was our first Airbnb experience but won't be our last. The home was beautiful and clean and exactly as described. It was a few blocks from the more crowded "touristy" spots but we enjoyed walking everywhere and seeing more of the island. If we wandered too far and didn't want to walk back, it was a very quick and inexpensive taxi ride back. Breakfast was delicious, the private pool was delightful, and the addition of their sweet puppy Rosa made the home feel very cozy. Greg and Silvia were very kind hosts and gave us great advice on everything from navigating our way from the airport to where to buy forgotten items. Book this room...and then relax.

Our hosts were fantastic and we highly recommend this property. The house is kept in immaculate condition, and the room is one of the finest we stayed in after multiple visits at other B&B's around Yucatan. The breakfasts were delicious and the pool was so refreshing to jump into at the end of the day. The room also had a fan and a/c so we we were nice and cool anytime we were there. We really enjoyed being in a local neighborhood. Our hosts gave us great guidance for local eateries that were not only super tasty, but got us in touch with the neighbors who were always friendly and happy to chat with us. They also gave us a great recommendation for diving, and we had a fantastic experience there as well. Greg also gave us the lowdown on the best spot to snorkel in town and it was spot on. We tried a couple of other spots, but always came back to Greg's initial recommended place. The house is about a five block walk into the main tourist part of town. Sometimes we walked into centro and sometimes we took a taxi which cost about 2 dollars. All in all it was a terrific time, and we heartily recommend this property and the hosts Greg and Silvia to anyone else interested in coming to experience Cozumel away from the cruise ships and all-inclusive resorts. We will surely be back in the future!

Silvia and Greg are wonderful hosts. They have a beautiful home which they so graciously shared with us. Every morning we had a lovely breakfast delivered to our private patio table in the beautiful, private yard by the refreshing pool. Silvia and Greg are incredibly knowledgable about the area and are so generous with their time and in answering questions, giving excellent recommendations, and just shooting the breeze. But, they have that unique ability of not being intrusive, giving you your privacy and space, but they are also always available if you have any questions or need anything. We found them to be delightful, helpful, kind and generous with help, and anything we needed. The private room/bathroom we had was beautiful and included a comfortable bed, mini fridge, safe for your valuables and a spacious, clean bathroom. Greg and Silvia go out of their way to make your stay the best, and we would highly recommend staying at the beautiful Los Alcatraces! We can't forget to mention the adorable Rosie (their CUTE dog), who greeted us with tail wags every morning and every time we returned "home" from a day of snorkeling and exploring.

I had such a great time at Silvia and Gregs home!! It was more than I could have imagined! Their house is absolutely beautiful. The room I stayed in came with a mini fridge, TV, a/c, and a safe to lock my things in if needed. They gave me a key so I could come and go as I pleased. Their place is only a 7 minute walk from restaurants, bars, museum, & the tourist parts. It was only a $10 taxi ride to the beach clubs. Perfect location for all your needs if you don't want to rent a car or motorbike. Also the breakfast was perfect! They let you choose when you wanted to have it. And their pool was so refreshing. I will absolutely come back again, and bring my family next time!!

Greg and Sylvia welcomed us smiles by name upon our arrival. Greg and Sylvia had excellent referrals for where to rent a scooter, where to eat and with whom to dive. We loved their delicious, healthy, and artistically prepared daily, complimentary breakfasts and the safe and local to everything feel of the property. Our hosts went above and beyond to keep our room neat, clean, and our valuables protected. It was especially quaint and quiet to experience the property in low season.

Silvia and Greg kept things simple and relaxed - exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for! The room was a perfect home base after a day of exploring and hanging out at the beach. They served breakfast every morning at the cute patio table right outside our door. Most importantly they served coffee! I have to say I prefer this more private and personal experience over a resort any day. We were in walking distance to at least 6 fabulous restaurants, all of which we tried during our visit. Also a great car rental spot that Silvia suggested is just a hop and a skip away. Lastly, their dog, Rosa, is one the biggest sweethearts you'll ever meet, which speaks a lot for her owners! If you're weary of dogs she will quickly change your mind. Rosa was the cherry on top of our wonderful vacation in Cozumel! We will definitely be staying at Los Alcatraces again!

Silvia was a great host from the time I made the enquiry. She shared tips on ferries, car hire and things to do. When we arrived we were greeted by Silvia and shown the room and asked what time we would like breakfast both mornings. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and excellent value especially since Silvia includes breakfast and tidies your room each day. Location is great, 15min walk from the ferry and 10min walk to downtown. Would definitely recommend to anyone

Silvia & Greg were awesome. Very helpful with directions & gracious with everything. The room was perfect. I had a fridge in the room which made things a lot easier. The bed was comfortable, A/C cold, & the pool was refreshing. The daily breakfast was perfect to get you going. I would recommend Silvia's & Greg's place to anyone!

We had a wonderful stay at Silvia and Greg's place. The room was clean, large and had everything we needed. It was in a quiet part of town but still within walking distance from the main area (approx. 15 min walk). We enjoyed the breakfast on the patio every morning (delivered at anytime you want) and really appreciated small details like the fridge with the pitcher of cold water that we could fill as needed. Also, we loved their dog, Rosa, she was so cute and always happy to see us

Los AlcaTraces is a terrific location to experience the local culture without being surrounded by tourists. Greg and Silvia were extraordinary hosts ~ providing the perfect amount of insight about Cozumel. Sitting among the birds while listening to the local sounds made an excellent backdrop for the daily breakfast of local pasteries, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. The room was well kept and provided plenty of space without feeling cramped. Feeling safe and secure was not a problem at Los AlcaTraces nor the area around it. Greg, Silvia and Rosa definitely maintain the motto "Mi Casa es Su Casa" Thank you for helping us fall in LOVE with Cozumel!!

Great stay in Cozumel. Perfect distance away from the tourist cruise ships but still in what felt like a safe neighbourhood. Greg and Silvia answered questions when we had them but also gave us space to enjoy their nice unit. Great breakfast (fruit, coffee, juice, and bread/muffin) Rosa their dog is super cute. Room has tv with cable, ac, and felt safe with locking windows, doors and cabinets to put our stuff in. I would highly recommend this place for travellers to the island!

We loved our stay at Los Alcatraces. Greg and Sylvia are very friendly and do their best to make their guests feel welcome. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. It felt like an inviting place to be,either inside or out by the garden/pool area. We were given good tips on how to get around the area. Another friendly touch was their dog Rosa. She was adorable and not afraid to have new people around her. I wish we could have stayed longer this time, but wouldn't hesitate to return again and stay with Greg and Sylvia.

We loved Silvia, Greg and Rosarita. They were like family. When we needed guidance they were always willing to help with advice or a phone call if necessary. The room was clean and simple, and the accommodations included the outdoor 'living room' and pool. Los Alcatraces is within walking distance of lots of things, but you need a ride to the real beaches, which are breathtakingly beautiful. But just lying on the chaise beside the pool is a sight for wintery eyes! And Rosie is the friendliest little dog. We felt special.

This is a lovely place to stay with delightful hosts. Great location a little deeper into town (though we walked with our bags from the ferry and had no trouble). Silvia gave us great directions and helpful info before we arrived, and was a gracious host, directing us to her favorite spots all over the island and offering us a lovely breakfast of fruit and pastries every day. The room is clean and quiet and homey, and a friendly dog Rosie keeps you company. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Cozumel, especially if you are interested in something besides the tourist zone.

This trip was our first winter vacation, and I can't imagine a better place to stay. Silvia and Greg were perfect hosts: they gave us their undivided attention, answered our questions and gave good advice, and also gave us introverts the space and privacy we needed for a much-needed, soul-restoring vacation. We really valued being away from the tourist area's hustle and bustle, and felt very safe walking the streets at night; everyone we met had a kind smile for us.

Greg and Silvia were an absolute joy to stay with, and we loved their B&B! They started out awesome before our trip even began, with immediate responses to our stay request, and emailed us with directions to their place from the ferry and airport. We took the ferry from Playa Del Carmen and walked with our bags to the house, which took about 15 minutes. We prefer to fully experience the places to which we travel, so we walked and looked at the town of San Miguel and loved it. We felt safe all the time, from the ferry to the house, and everywhere else we went. There are many restaurants, shops, and grocery stores nearby, and you can walk or take a cab mostly anywhere. We went scuba diving, leaving from the Marina Caleta, which was the only time we required a cab (about 90 pesos for the ride). The breakfast every morning was just right and hit the spot--juice and coffee, fresh fruit, and a pastry. They asked us at the beginning of our stay when we would like breakfast (for us it was early, about 7am every day before diving), and they were on time and friendly every morning. Their dog, Rosa, is a sweetheart and also greeted us every morning :) Greg and Silvia themselves are very kind and great to talk to, and are happy to give recommendations and directions, going out of their way to help--they even helped us contact our dive operation when we arrived. The room was perfect--comfy bed with clean sheets, cold air conditioning, a private bathroom with clean towels and soaps, a small refrigerator, a TV, closets. It is secure in the rear of the main house, with a wall around the property and locks on the gates. Cozumel is wonderful and this is the perfect place to stay while you experience it. We had no complaints whatsoever, and were sad to leave! Not only would we recommend anyone to stay here, we will also be staying here ourselves when we return. Thanks, Greg, Silvia, and Rosa!

I had a really great but short stay with Greg and Silvia. They have a nice guest house in their backyard complete with pool and patio. It was quiet, clean and comfortable so I have absolutely no complaints. They are located about a 10-15 minute walk from downtown and the ferry (a bit too far if you are carrying heavy bags) or about a 80-100 Peso cab ride from the airport in Cozumel. I would definitely recommend them and I can't wait to go back! I would go back just for the nice breakfast that I got every morning! :)

Seriously, this place was the best value of our entire trip. It's essentially a spotless, completely private guest house with AC and wireless in Greg and Silvia's backyard, and you just get the keys and can come and go as you please. The house is right near Avenida 30, which has lots of non-tourist shops, places to get a cab and cheap, awesome places to eat — the yellow place around the corner has tacos al pastor that I fantasize about, and there's a roast chicken place that we got for lunch, like, every day. It's a very safe-feeling walk of ten minutes or so to the tourist areas (though if you have heavy bags, don't be a fool like us and just take a cab from the ferry). Greg and Silvia are super friendly and chatty and have an awesome dog, Rosa. They bring by giant coffees, fruit and breakfast pastries every morning, and have lots of good advice about places to eat, snorkel and dive. The one thing that could use improvement is the wifi coverage (I had to go sit on the side of the courtyard nearer the main house to get a connection), but that's a super minor detail. Seriously, this place is a ridiculous bargain, I'd recommend it to anyone.

Our stay in Cozumel was perfect, especially our accommodations at Greg and Silvia's B&B! A perfect breakfast each morning, a safe and well cared for room, a darling area to sit outside and relax, a perfect pool to cool off in. Greg and Silvia were wonderful hosts, they were around and helpful, and at the same time we felt like we had plenty of privacy. Great recommendations on snorkeling (aka engagement site!) as well as places to eat (we miss the chicken place already!). Thank you again for a perfect stay!!

This was our first time trying out AirBnB and it was such a great experience! Sylvia and Greg were extremely nice and helped recommend a nearby restaurant since most businesses were closed on Sundays. The room was clean and very private, breakfast was delicious and the bed very comfortable. Sylvia and Greg are very nice and cheerful people. We will definitely be coming back to stay with them again and also to play with their wonderful dog Rosa!

My boyfriend and I just returned from our amazing vacation in Cozumel and other Riviera Maya locations, and we cannot praise Greg and Sylvia enough! We stayed at a variety of hotels/cabanas throughout our vacation, and Los Alcatraces was, by far, our favorite. Sylvia, Greg, and their adorable dog Rosy, welcomed us so warmly the instant we got out of our cab. Throughout our stay, the Lupones exhibited the perfect mix of attentiveness and respect for our privacy. They were quick to provide advice on scooter rentals and Cozumel activities, as well as a pleasure to chat with about life in general. However, they still provided us with peace and quiet and freedom to come and go as we wanted. Our room was clean, cozy, and perfectly outfitted for a 5-day stay (including a mini fridge, drinking water, and some toiletries). Breakfast every day was a true treat and we so miss that 8:30am knock on the door telling us breakfast was waiting for us (they will serve you breakfast on the patio for whatever time you indicate). If there is only one thing I could suggest for improvement is that WiFi access was better, but hey, who needs WiFi anyway on vacation?? The location was great, though I do recommend renting a scooter, small car, or bike to have better mobility around the island. The Lupone's home is right in town, but about 5 blocks from the main strip. We wanted to have a true "local" experience, not a touristy one, so the location for us was absolutely perfect, using our cheap scooter to get around (which Sylvia helped us to set up and have picked up). My boyfriend and I have nothing but high praise for the Lupones and their home in Cozumel. Affordable, cozy, safe, easy, and best of all, very memorable. We would definitely stay there again and recommend their B&B to friends and family. Thanks, Greg & Sylvia!

The accommodations and hosts are equally charming! Room was clean, bed was made daily and a/c was definitely a great thing to have. A healthy breakfast was provided every morning and Gregory and Sylvia provided excellent suggestions for where to eat and activities to do around the island. Los Alcatraces is located just outside of the busy downtown. Would definitely stay here again!

Gregory and Silvia were excellent hosts. They are extremely helpful, welcoming, and made you feel comfortable right away. Their place is fantastic. It is comfortable, impeccably clean, quiet, and private. It is in a quiet and safe neighborhood but close to the tourist center (walking distance) and just 1 block from a major street where you can access buses or taxis. I highly recommend this place. Oh, and their dog, Rosa, is quite charming too.

Los Alcatraces was wonderful. The location is right in the middle of town, easy to access, and a short walk to shops and restaurants. Gregory and Silvia were super helpful in finding the place as well as in making suggestions regarding scuba diving and other adventures. The room was clean and well appointed. A tasty and healthy breakfast was served daily. They even let me park my rental scooter in their driveway. I highly recommend Los Alcatraces.

We Stayed with Greg and Silvia for only 1 night, but wish we made it more! The B&B is very relaxing, kept up extremely well, and Greg had many great stories to share. He also gave us advice on some great cheap food in the area, where to catch a cab (and catch our dive boat at the last minute), and also some great ideas on places to go (which we took him up on). Greg and Silvia were great hosts, generous yet not intrusive at all. The place is lovely, super-clean, and totally equipped for comfort in all weather. The room is airy and bright, with own bath and courtyard. The neighborhood is good, in fact, wherever I went in town on my own I was comfortable. The house is a few blocks to the main walkway in town, and thus to the little beaches where you can take a dip in the most glorious water. And my hosts helped me with the scooter rental and gave me good suggestions of places to snorkel. (They are divers but they know where to snorkel too of course.) And places to eat. I was there for just a long weekend, but it is going to be a long-precious weekend. This is a truly great place to stay. Do explore the island too!

Los Alcatraces is a quaint, cozy bed & breakfast, in a neighborhood part of Cozumel 15min walk from the pier. Greg, Sylvia, & they're dog Rosa are wonderful hosts..great communication, easy & very helpful upon arrival, with a clean & comfortable private room. Sylvia is very friendly & wonderfully accommodating. She brought us a a delicious breakfast of fruit, pastry & coffee every morning on our outdoor patio at our given time...along with sprucing up our room while we were out for the day. We fell in love with Cozumel, in large part because of our very comfortable stay at Los Alcatraces, and being able to explore the Island as a local...with delicious authentic CHEAP food nearby, along with the plaza & bar scene within walking distance. I give Los Alcatraces my absolute highest recommendation, & we look forward to our stay here again. Safe Travels, Edgar

Greg and Silvia's place is very clean, neat, safe and comfortable. They are lovely, thoughtful hosts as well. We had a lot of trouble finding the place - the street signs are hard to see and confusing and unfortunately Greg did not give us very thorough directions and then wasn't answering his phone - we were lost, exhausted driving around at night trying to find the place for a long time. Make sure to ask for detailed directions - Greg and Silvia were new to hosting and I'm sure they will now give better directions. Once we found it we were very pleased with the place and our hosts. We loved San Miguel - such a fun little town. Not the best beaches but we found a great spot on the empty side of the island - if you want to get away from the tourists go to that side. Silvia can give advice. There's a sweet little health food cafe/restaurant a few blocks away if you're craving some healthy wraps and smoothies - again Silvia can direct you there. Be sure to arrive at the ferry building 2 hours before departure time! We had a wonderful time in Cozumel and Greg and Silvia's is a lovely home base.

My father and I stayed at Los Alcatraces for a week over Christmas. It was absolutely wonderful. The grounds and rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. We loved location. Being in the neighborhood we got the chance to walk around and get a feel for Cozumel, while only being a few minutes walk to the water. Greg and Silvia are very charming and super helpful. Greg gave me advice on the dive shops and Silvia arranged for us to rent a scooter. They asked us the night before what time we wanted breakfast, and brought it early if I was diving and later if we wanted to rest. And I can't not mention Rosa. They rescued the sweetest little dog that will greet you each time you come back and give you kisses, if you want. I will be staying here again if I make it back to Cozumel.

Staying with Greg and Sylvia was an exceptional experience. The rooms are very spacious and have a/c, wifi, filtered water, and cable TV. They provide a free breakfast and informations on all the best attractions. There place is very quiet and comfortable. There is a small pool in the back and a rinse tank for divers. On the roof there is a beautiful screened palapa with hammocks. The location is perfect. It is very quiet but you can walk to the bars, restaurants, and shops. If you're looking for a quiet, clean, and affordable place to stay in Cozumel, I would defintely recommend staying here.
