I'd never stayed at an Airbnb in my country where they didn't speak any Spanish and all communication was in English. The hosts try to make you feel like you're at home, but there are too many rules even before you arrive and they ask you to download a manual. If you want options for other things, they really don't help you. The place is fine, but there's too much communication, which makes you feel uncomfortable.

A Diver’s Paradise & Foodie Heaven – Can’t Wait to Return! I cannot say enough good things about our stay here! If you are coming to Cozumel for the underwater world and the local food scene, this is the place to be. For Divers & Snorkelers: The location is absolutely perfect. We were just a short distance from the marina, making those early morning boat departures a breeze. The apartment itself is incredibly diver-friendly—there was plenty of space to rinse and dry our gear (a huge plus!), and the host even provided excellent recommendations for dive operators. We spent our days drifting the Palancar and Columbia reefs, and having such a comfortable, cool, and clean home base to crash in afterward made all the difference. The Food: We followed the host’s recommendations for food, and they were spot on.

Silvia's spot really stood out for me out of all the old, worn out overpriced places in the area. The inside was exactly as in the photos - spacious, modern, full of light. The shower was SUPER comfy and internet was just as fast as on my 1GB fiber link at NYC. I work online so that was EXTREMELY important to me. I felt right at home, working and then taking a quick walk to the oceanside attractions. I highly recommend her place and it's definitely great value for the price!

Small and clean place, the TV remote control did not work the first day and they repaired it. The fan chain was also broken, however support was received from the hosts. Everything else was excellent and the pool was very comfortable, I would definitely recommend the place.

We booked Stingray Villas for a dive trip. Location was perfect, plus super clean and friendly hosts were a bonus. Do not hesitate to book this accommodation if you are looking for an excellent value, yet nice accommodation. We will stay here again.

The place is excellent, easy to get to. Very comfortable and well cared for. Silvia gave us excellent advice and was always available. The internet is not as fast as they show, as it comes through a repeater. We were on a work trip, and our video calls were cut off a couple of times. But if you're looking to rest, it's ideal. 100% recommended.

This location is great, a short walk to the pier where you can get a view of the water and many places to eat/shop! Their apartment is only a ten min taxi to many amazing places for snorkeling, swimming in super clear waters, beach clubs, anything you want to do! The hosts are very responsive and made our stay so easy for us!

Host Silvia and Greg are super friendly, provide you useful local information. They keep this place very nice and clean. Walking distance to many good restaurants in quiet neighborhood. Very nice cozy place with four units with a pool. There is a rinse tank for divers to clean their gears. The uniit was large enough with a comfortable bed, small table, chairs, bed side furniture. Garden furnitures are also available outside of unit. Good shower pressure in very clean bathroom. Highly recommeded for people/divers who like quiet, private, kickback, lowkey feeling place.

Everything was great, better than we expected. The pool is very nice. The location is very convenient to get around on foot, but you can also leave the car parked on the street without problems if you rent a car as it was in my case. Silvia and Greg are very friendly.

Greg and Silva were super friendly and helpful. The place was exactly as shown in the pictures. The WiFi was very good and they even provided water and a mini fridge. If you want a based from which to explore the island and scuba dive it’s a great choice. (Small downside was there are currently some noisy building works next door, so you couldn’t really work in the room or relax by the pool during the day).

Great place to stay on island. Greg and Silvia are awesome, dedicated hosts. Room was spacious and clean. Large and cozy king size bed. Common area and pool was nice and clean. Hosts provided complimentary coffee and water. Neighborhood was quiet. We’ve found a few good vegetarian restaurants just in 10 min walk. There is no parking on the private territory, so if you rented a scooter, you have to park it on the street (which is very risky) and we returned ours to the rental overnight. I would definitely recommend staying at Stingray villa :)

It was a five star experience. Fantastic Place - Highly Recommend Secluded, Relaxed and Quiet yet so... May 2024 solo It is five star The owners really focused on all the details. Huge bed with a comfy mattress, which you can just chill out on and in my case relax and write. The room is so spacious, with all the specifics you need and has a lovely bathroom with walk in shower. There are only four rooms and the place feels really very private and quiet. Yet, its 5 minutes max from some great restaurants and 10 mins from the ferry terminal. You've other things like laundry, barbers etc all within minutes walk.

Silvia was so kind when we had trouble finding the place due to our phones having a mind of their own. She waiting patiently and greeted us warmly. Her place is centrally located and we walked to dinner every night. The area is very safe and she was quick to give us local recommendations that were amazing. The room is very clean and comfortable. We did not get a chance to swim in the pool as we were on the ocean most of the trip, but the pool looked very clean. Parking was never an issue right outside the locked gates. Silvia was so responsive throughout the entire booking and even woke up early to say goodbye to us with her cat Maxi! We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Stingray Villa. It’s super cute and they have done a great job maintaining the place and making the outdoor area very aesthetically pleasing. Everything looks as it does in the photos. The bathroom was nice and spacious and the shower had great water pressure. Also, the app that they have set up for the villa was extremely nice and helpful, we used it throughout our stay for recommendations and general knowledge about the island. Overall great experience and would recommend for anyone looking for an alternative to a big resort.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Silvia and Greg were so quick to respond and help with anything we needed. The space is super spacious, clean and comfortable. Location wise, it’s very walkable to and from the ferry, town centre and to restaurants and taxis are very easily available too if you want to go further. Would definitely recommend staying here

Silvia & Greg were great hosts. The room is very spacious and bed was very comfortable. The Chiapas coffee they offer is a nice & delicious touch! My room was on the 1st floor in front of the pool but I was never bothered by outside noise. The location is also great! 8-10 minute walk to the main & busy area but far enough from the noise. There’s also plenty free street parking in front of the property in case you rent a car or scooter. For future guests, plan ahead for your luggage if you’re not leaving the island by check out time. This was on me because I didn’t ask ahead of time &, unfortunately, they cannot hold your luggage after checking out. They were kind to offer options outside the property but they’re geared towards people flying/renting car, which I wasn’t. So I ferried back to PDC earlier than planned because I didn’t have a place for my luggage. But I will definitely stay here when I come back to Cozumel as this has been one of the best properties I’ve stayed at.

Stingray Villa is nice, clean, quiet and only has 4 accommodating rooms so not alot of people coming & going. Walking distance to town. Felt very safe. Greg & Sylvia we’re very accommodating to let us drop our luggage off early so we didn’t have to lug around town. Response time for correspondence was quick; communication was easy. Wonder to work with. Price was very reasonable Would definitely stay at this hidden gem again. The pool is refreshing and wonderful to cool off on those hot muggy days. Thanks for sharing your wonderful property.

Sylvia's place is an absolute gem. Resort vibes without all the hoo-haa. Very peaceful and quiet. The pool is to die for. Everything is exactly as pictured and as advertised, and you can tell that Sylvia takes pride in this. If I'm ever back in Cozumel, this is the only place I would consider staying.

Stingray Villa is a beautiful airbnb in a prime location. There is nothing we love more when it comes to airbnbs than walking into a place and it meets or exceeds our expectations based on what we saw in photos and reviews. Prompt check in and check out and both were facilitated by the hosts themselves. This place is heavily stocked with clean drinking water and other basic needs. They go above and beyond with their coffee materials, a ready to drink cold pitcher of water, a cooler you can use during your stay on the island and a recyclable bag for your grocery or travel needs. Nice pool and the place overall was very clean. Lots of street parking out front. Very safe location and property. Thank you again Greg and Silvia, we hope to be back and we will surely recommend to friends and family.

Awesome 5 star stay! Awesome communication leading up to our arrival and check-in was a breeze! Greg met us at the gate and welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know. PLUS, they have their electronic welcome/info guide which is second to none. Never have I seen a guide (let alone a downloadable electronic one) that was so comprehensive and informative. Stingray Villa is conveniently located (about 10-12min walk) from the Ferry Terminal, restaurants, malecon, etc. The room itself was super clean and well appointed. Greg & Silvia have thought of everything: a cooler (which we used for ice), purified & chilled water, coffee machine and everything you need (cream, cups, sugar - and THE BEST tasting coffee), mini fridge, safe, hangars and iron (iron upon request), and even a shopping bag for those OXXO snack runs. The grounds were clean and well maintained and the pool was kept at a comfortable temperature. Super chill and quiet 4 rooms complex - which was great! If and when we return to Cozumel, Stingray Villa will be the place we stay! Thanks for a great stay! Tomas & Aldo

Great location that is easily walkable to downtown restaurants and dive shops, private and overall very clean. Silvia and Gregg are responsive and have a nice guide to the area. I appreciate that they have a separate bin for recyclables and furniture is updated. Things to consider for a honest review: 1. While internet is fast, there was greater than a 24 hour period without internet. It sounds like it was an infrequent outage, however for those that need for work or communication, make a note that there is a chance it can be unreliable so plan accordingly. 2. The place is very clean, but there was a cockroach in my room. Honestly, I think this is just the tropics and comes with the territory, however I have stayed in Cozumel before and not encountered them in my room. 3. The receive and drop the key for check in and check out requires planning to meet in person. Bottom line: great location and overall clean, would stay again

We stayed 5 nights in the Stingray Villa and had a great stay. It is very quiet and therefore has a high recreational value. The city centre and restaurants are just two blocks away. We had the feeling of having the facility and the pool to ourselves and the bed is very large. The room leaves nothing to be desired. The shower was hot and had good water pressure. We can highly recommend the accommodation! However, you should know that smoking is not allowed in the facility. Sylvia and Greg welcomed us very warmly. We felt very comfortable right away.

Right!! Am sorry to say am not the type of person to leave a review for places but on this occasion I needed to!! Would like to say book this accommodation as it will go above and beyond the prices was so cheap the room was spotless!! Felt so at ease here , felt secure and safe!! My only disappointment was when I requested to extend our stay and it was obviously booked up! Don’t be fooled by the price (cheap) this is the best accommodation we have stayed at in Mexico and most secure! Great location lovely couple would highly recommend thank you again for having us xxx

Lovely rooms just off Calle 5 and 15 Ave, and a short walk to downtown. Pool was refreshing, coffee provided and it was a really quiet spot. Silvia greeted me when I arrived and explained everything. I will visit again.

I can’t recommend Stingray Villa enough! So lovely, clean, delightful, and the wonderful hosts will check-in with you personally and help you with anything you might need to know. They have even compiled and extremely helpful digital guestbook that you can put as an app on your phone! They’ve also thought of great little touches like a reusable shopping back for your trips to the store and a pitcher of chilled water in the fridge. Everything is fresh and clean and well-maintained. The location is great, only 3 blocks back from the waterfront and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. For scuba divers they have a rinse tank and drying line to save the day. I will definitely be staying again.

The plants all over the property are a beautiful touch and host Silvia cares a lot about maintaining a minimal environmental impact with her airbnb, providing recycle services as well as composting coffee grounds. Loved it here, would stay again! The apartments are all clean and stylish, love the little pool and snorkel masks and floats set out for guests :) It is very, very safe, with high walls, offers nice privacy as well. Greg and Silvia are very kind, attentive, and eager to help. Great location, close to the main strip, and good food choices nearby. Their local recommendations and blog are top notch, I enjoyed the food and diving recommendations particularly! Highly recommend staying here!

Everything about our experience with Stingray Villas was perfect. The communication from Silvia & Greg ahead of our trip was quick and helpful, and all the information about the area that they provided ahead of time helped us plan our trip. The place itself was modern, clean and was a nice refuge at the end of every day. The coffee provided was delicious and helped us have a relaxed start to each day. The location was perfect, right in town so we could walk everywhere, but in a quiet neighbourhood so we could get a good sleep to recharge each night. If we ever had any questions, S & G answered them right away. We can't wait to come back and stay again soon!
