My stay was phenomenal! Actually, I had a different booking and due to some needed repairs, Fresh Escapes reached out and rebooked me. I really appreciated that quick turnaround and clear communication which made my stay here much better. Easy to get in, private, right in front of the cathedral and every morning, when my fiance and I had our tea, it was so nice to sit by the windows, and just relax and watch the street below. I would definitely rebook!

A new choice of accommodation for our annual trip to the Christmas Market. The location could not have been better. Out the front door and into the heart of the festivities. Perfect for a quick unload of bags into the apartment when required. The flat was roomy, had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Already booked for Christmas 2026!

This flat is in the middle of the city centre, so a very convenient location. It was a bit noisy in the evenings in the kitchen/sitting room which overlook a main street, but the bedrooms were on the other side of the property and were very quiet: overall, it wasn't an issue. The flat was clean and had good facilities, although it took a bit of puzzling to work out how to use the boiling tap! Communication with the hosts is through an app, which included a comprehensive guidebook and made it easy to find everything.

The apartment is one of the best located places I have ever stayed and very stylish - perfect for our stay. There is some slight water damage in the living room which means the main light doesn’t work which is a shame. The location on the main high street means it can be loud at night but that’s to be expected. The bedrooms are at the back so this didn’t affect our sleep! Lastly, whilst the lift was really handy, it was the slowest lift I’ve ever encountered and we kept thinking it had broken down because it was so slow!

I had a wonderful time at the apartment; the decor was tasteful, clean, organized, and pleasant. I'd also like to express my gratitude for a situation where my friend forgot his wallet and documents, and they were incredibly helpful in resolving the issue. I highly recommend the apartment and appreciate the efficiency of the entire Fresh Escapes team.

Elegant apartment that’s sliding into shabby chic. The beds were comfortable, towels lush, and the seating areas well thought out.. But there’s some water damage that hasn’t been fixed, including a burned out overhead light. The afternoon sun streams into the living area, which is beautiful, but it made the flat stuffy and we needed to open some windows which let in the street noise. The location is absolutely superb, close to all the amenities Exeter has to offer, but this centrality means that the living area is quite loud, especially at night. Fortunately, the bedrooms are on an air shaft so they were quiet, and we were able to have a good nights sleep.

The appartment is beautiful and well-designed, but alas it's not well maintained. There is water damage from last year that hasn't been resolved and things like loose cabinet door handles etc are common. The area is good, but the cathedral square itself feels quite unsafe in the evening. So overall ok, but think with a day of real care, it could be so much better.

We loved staying here. The apartment was beautiful and such a brilliant location for a city break. We had a few small issues but the hosts resolved them quickly and thoroughly which is all you can ask for. Thank you for having us, we’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful flat, location excellent, responsive host. Was just a little damp due to a leak from the flat above so it felt a bit humid. We stayed with our 2 kids and the beds were made up as singles as we requested which worked perfectly.

I can’t imagine a better-located Airbnb than this. It is also well-stocked, clean, and comfortable. Fresh Escapes answered our calls to help walk us through check in and everything went smoothly. The restaurants in the Cathedral area are all very good, too.

The property is beautiful. Tip, read the instructions beforehand rather than on your phone when you arrive! We missed the flat number & it is there clearly. The car park is not far and good charging for electric cars. The conservatory is a good local gem of a restaurant- 3 minutes walk away.

This is a gem apartment, right in the middle of the city, in front of Exeter Cathedral. It has been very tastefully designed, with an upmarket look. All rooms are or have a spacious feeling, with high ceilings, beautiful furniture and comfortable beds in the bedrooms. The kitchen is well equiped, with high standard brown goods. We managed to park just yards from the entrance to the building, just steps to the Cathedral. It has a fantastic selection of restaurants, department stores and many other shops, cinema nearby, and a variety of things to do, such us the very interesting city walks. We couldn't have found a better place for our family.

We loved our stay in Exeter in this beautiful and stylish apartment. We adored the location and the decor. Very modern and well equipped in a gorgeous, secure building. We loved people watching from the living room windows which looked out over the boutique shops in the street behind the cathedral. The proximity to restaurants and the cathedral could not be better. The apartment drinks in the natural light, which we just loved! The kids entertained themselves for hours playing chess on the art deco chess set by the window. We would live here if we could! Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The only inconvenience was not being able to park the car nearby, but I found a place on the Just Park app, and we left the car there for a few days. We loved being so central to the city and able to walk everywhere. There was quite a bit of noise from the high street in the evenings, but once we’d gone to bed we weren’t disturbed at all as the bedrooms are in the back of the apartment and really quiet. Initially we were slightly surprised by the lack of a kettle in an apartment of this quality, but when we reached out for help we very swiftly had a reply to say the tap was a quooker tap and we should be able to get boiling water that way. In fact, we ended up boiling water in a pan on the super quick induction hob! So easy. Anyway, all in all a really lovely short break. Very glad we found this place!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Cathedral Yard. The location was very spot on, walkable to everything in town, and the whole apartment was stunning. Although it was quite hard to find the flat at first, we still found it within 5 minutes. Everything was above standards in the apartment and we will definitely be coming back!

We have really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is centrally located with all the shops, cafes and restaurants at literally your doorstep. The ambience and the well thought details of the property make it a cosy stay in the heart of Exeter. I highly recommend it!

James’s flat in Cathedral Yard is gorgeous and tastefully decorated with an Art Deco theme! It’s so comfortable in every aspect ranging from the soft beds in bedrooms to modern themed bathroom utilities to a relaxed seating area in the lounge. The kitchen was so clean and had everything available. One of the best points of staying here was it’s central location in Exeter. We could get to any place by foot, bus & train. If you’d like to explore the Devon coastline, this is a perfect spot to stay for a short break.

The apartment at Cathedral Yard is absolutely spectacular. They style of the property is so lovely and feels safe being on the 2nd floor with a common security door to enter straight off Cathedral Yard. Communication was always great, even to check in and see if we were enjoying our stay. They had milk, coffee pods and biscuits on our arrival. The central location allowed us to explore the city and the cathedral was on our doorstep. Street noise from people partying was present, but not a problem when sleeping in the back bedrooms. Would highly recommend this property.

A beautiful flat in a wonderful location. The high ceilings, expansive open kitchen/living room and extremely nice bed linens and beds make this a wonderful place to stay. The bathroom is lovely with the nicest rain shower we've encountered in any airbnb. (One caveat which does not spoil the experience but of which guests should be aware: The great room does not overlook cathedral green but a side street that was quite noisy with transients, etc. on Sat. night. However, the bedroom is interior and utterly quiet.) The attention to detail, expert styling and architecture all make for a delightful visit. Highly recommended.

Cathedral View is a fabulous place to stay - great location with the cathedral on its doorstep. We had an amazing 6 days here over new year’s eve - dinner at the Ivy which was literally next door! The apartment is wonderfully styled and brilliantly equipped. Will definitely be back!

This apartment is really good. The location is perfect for visiting Exeter and providing immediate access to the restaurants and shops in the city centre. It is also modern, very clean, very functional and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to others.
