The flat itself was clean and in the centre of Dartmouth. We had a lovely time exploring all the shops. However, climbing 2 flights of stairs with heavy luggage was a bit annoying, and the corridor was also dirty and smelled bad.

Thought the apartment was exactly as described, perfect location with lots of great restaurants, round robin trip to Totnes was great kids loved it , definitely stay again parking permit brilliant idea ! Not much room to store anything in the kitchen if you were staying for a week and had a lot of groceries but apart from that a really enjoyable apartment in a wonderful town .

The flat was in a great position and the parking permit was invaluable, the layout of the flat was lovely, however the entrance hall was disgusting, the roof had obviously been leaking for a long time, there was rubbish everywhere, it smelt terrible. The furnishings were worn out and grubby, one of the carpets was filthy and so was one of the rugs, the settee was all split and it had obviously been like it for over a year according to the visitors book. The dining chairs weren’t great and one had the leg hanging off, the varnish on the table was all worn off in places and again not very clean. There were no drawers or cupboards in either bedroom, the coat hangers were very few and misshaped wire. We lived out of our suitcases. There was no welcome pack which again according to the visitor book there used to be also no hand soap or gel. The kitchen was a pleasant space and quite well equipped. We would definitely return to Dartmouth but not to the flat and would not recommend it.

Great little apartment right in the centre of dartmouth. Lovely and modern .. it was very clean on arrival and had a great kitchen area. Had an issue with no cot or high chair but was quickly resolved and both were there upon arrival. Easy to find and we managed to park right outside to unload the car. We stayed as a family of 5 for a few days in half term and we all had a great time. Thank you

Directions from the Agency were very out of date, but once we found it the flat was well equiped, finished, clean and tidy on arrival, and as described on line, with good facilities. Entry to the flat was via a steep staircase, so be aware. The flat had a very good information pack which was useful. We were there in Dartmouth Regatta week so I suspect the prices reflected the demand, but it was still reasonable value for a very central location. We would definatley stay again in the future.

A second fabulous stay at this stylish apartment. Great spot in the heart of beautiful Dartmouth. The car parking pass is a god send with parking being at such a premium, especially during the summer months. Matress topper on the king bad made a big difference, much better this year. Couple of small points that could improve the apartment. Scissors in the cutlery draw, sofa needs fixing / updating and the fan also needs replacing as it can get very warm in the apartment with all the windows. Overall a fabulous stay. We will be back.

We had a great stay for three nights in February half term. Right in the middle of town so easy to walk to many restaurants etc. Kitchen and living room were great. Only real grumble is that the mattress in the main bedroom has seen better days.

Excellent location and well presented property with light and airy kitchen diner. Very soft main bed. Property was as described and I would recommend it for its prime location. However instructions for arrival were incorrect ! I recommend future clients contact the management company direct to confirm correct address and location.

Fairfax place is ideally situated for easy access to the shops, ferry, boat trips and the steam railway, with the castle within easy walking distance. The entrance corridor wasn’t very clean and there were more stairs than we’d expected! Theflat itself was beautifully presented. The kitchen is fitted out beautifully with everything that we needed, the living room was comfortable and a good area to relax in the evening. Loved the shower and the bath. The main bedroom however was not so good. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and despite there being a mattress topper I could feel the springs!! Consequently I didn’t sleep well and my back definitely suffered. I see in previous reviews others have also commented on the bed. I think it’s time for a new mattress.

Dartmouth is a fabulous place, there’s loads you can do and get to very easily, often without driving. Parking was close and easy and free! Amazing kitchen space we loved the island and the light in there. Lovely bathroom too - great shower and bath. Perfect place to stay!

First of all, wow what a fabulous location your wonderful apartment has!! The apartment was fantastic and looked just like the listing photos, and we’ve enjoyed our stay there tremendously and would definitely look to stay there again in the future when we next visit beautiful Dartmouth. The apartment is very warm and cosy, and feels very homely to stay in and is ideally located in the centre of the town meaning you’re able to walk everywhere! It was very useful to have the parking permit so we could leave our car in the nearby car park during our stay, as even at this time of year there are very few on street parking bays available. The only negative comment we had was the poor quality mattresses - very soft and quite uncomfortable and not in keeping with the high quality fixture and fittings used throughout the apartment. Overall, we really appreciate what a lovely apartment this is, its fantastic central location and some of the quality finishing touches used (the kitchen and bathroom are fantastic spaces!) - it’s certainly a cosy and inviting place to stay in Dartmouth and would definitely recommend it! :-)

We found fairfax place to be in good clean condition. A great and well equipped kitchen. Spacious bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the lounge had a very decent tv. The location could not be more central. On our many stays in Dartmouth we have stayed further up the hill. It was nice not to have that trek back with a full stomach.

Great stay in Dartmouth! The apartment is so lovely and very central. A home from home, we enjoyed using the wonderful kitchen for breakfast one morning and popping over to the bakery for pastries the next. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for somewhere central in Dartmouth. There are a few flights of stairs though but not too bad if you’re travelling light :)

Beautiful apartment situated in the heart of Dartmouth which was perfect for our stay with my family. Communication with Murray and Chris was quick and efficient and the guide left in the apartment was very helpful. One thing I would say is for the price paid it would be nice to have a couple of small touches such as tea and coffee, soap in dispensers rather than the plastic bottle and could do with some drawers/ extra hanging space for those staying longer. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here and visiting all that Dartmouth has to offer.

A lovely modern apartment right in the centre of Dartmouth. Lots of space, well equipped with a shower, bath, kitchen diner and living room. The living room is also a lot bigger then you see on the photos, plenty of room for my wife, I and toddler to relax in. You’re minutes away from delicious bakery’s, restaurants and the Dartmouth harbour. A wonderful stay and would happily return!

The apartment is really well located, and it was great to have parking, it was only a few minutes walk, and it was easy to pull up in front to load and unload the car. As others have written, the apartment is a good size, bigger than the photos would suggest. It was clean and had all the amenities needed for a lovely stay. Dartmouth is a great place to stay to explore all the surrounding attractions, beaches, steam railway (fun for the kids) and castles. Would go back again.

The flat is in a great location in the centre of Dartmouth and is really spacious so a great place to stay for a few nights. It can however be slightly noisy not only from the street but upstairs and downstairs. As with most holiday lets (and not private homes being rented out on Airbnb) there are the usual issues, eg beds that arent that comfortable, chairs too low for the table (or the table is too high!). For the price per night I felt that it could do with a freshen up and that broken items shouldn't be left unfixed. Saying all of this though the place was fine for a couple of nights and perhaps I am being too picky.

Clean apartment in a fantastic location at the heart of Dartmouth. A little bit of live music noise at night as the flat did get very hot in the day so we had windows open. But generally pretty quiet considering where it is. The parking was a bit tricky during the day in high summer but we normally found an hour spot outside when dropping off heavy bags. Note that the permit does not now cover the whole district, just one specified car park. The flat is looking a bit tired round the edges and would benefit from some sprucing up but the bathroom and kitchen were both very nice. Co-op and wonderful deli across the road so easy to cater. Tv reception patchy and WiFi cut out for a day or so. We also had an issue with the wired smoke alarm and the agent did come to try and resolve it quickly despite it being an evening. Unfortunately he didn’t actually solve it and we ended up having to disarm it. The battery on the side indicated that this probably happened with the previous renters too. We generally had a lovely stay but it was definitely overpriced for what it was. But then Devon in summer 2021 that isn’t very surprising. If touches like the advertised parking permit and Now entertainment package had been included, it would have upped the value score.

Lovely flat in an excellent location smack in the middle of town. Flat is spacious and well fitted out. Parking permit is a great bonus as Dartmouth was super busy and other friends in different flats had to juggle the daily park and ride. Short term parking spaces out side made unloading and loading super easy as well. Would definitely recommend and Murray and Christine were super helpful when we had a couple of questions.

This is a lovely apartment right in the centre of Dartmouth - you can't beat the location. Fish and chips on doorstep, best coffee shops 2 mins walk away and coop across the street but still nice and quiet at night. The apartment is very well decorated throughout, the kitchen and bathroom in particular are amazing - superbly decorated and the family loved the stand-alone bath. We contacted the hosts a few times and had very prompt responses - indeed, the apartment had a very soft mattress not good for my wife's back when we arrived but when we flagged this a new mattress was put in within two days. You really can't beat that for speed and quality of response!

Fantastic apartment with very convenient central location. The apartment is so much roomier than appears on the photos which was a really bonus. The bath was lovely to soak into after a long day walking. The apartment is pet friendly and was clean & tidy upon arrival. Parking in Dartmouth is very similar to other holiday rentals with a pass to the town car park which was within 2 minutes walk from the apartment. If you are thinking of visiting Dartmouth and booking this accommodation I would highly recommend - we will be returning!

Very convenient (5-10mins walk to all you need), very clean and well presented. Car park pass is a huge benefit as can park for free in many car parks all over South Hams. A great place to stay for coastal paths. Murray was very friendly and helpful!

We stayed here in December (after our original stay was cancelled due to the second lockdown). We were able to change the dates of our stay with ease and communication with host was excellent prior to stay. The location of the property is second to none. You are in the middle of Dartmouth and within walking distance to all local amenities which is just what we like when staying here. The property itself has a lovely social layout and beautiful kitchen, rooms are spacious and bathroom is very stylish with hot water on demand. There were a couple of issues after arriving with WiFi code and the hob not working but this was quickly rectified. A few finer touches could be made to the property to make it top class but it isn’t essential. All basics were included at the property and during these uncertain times, we felt very ‘covid safe’ during our stay both with the property and the local area. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back to the property again in the future if available on the dates we wished to travel. Thank you for your hospitality.

The location of the flat is ideal for exploring the area and it was great having the shops on our doorstop. You can see a slice of the water from the lounge which was lovely and the big windows mean the flat is really light and bright. The flat is bigger than it appears in the photos which was a nice surprise but not as pristine. It definitely could have been cleaner on arrival. A couple of issues with things not working. Correspondence was quick and easy as was check in.

The location of the property was perfect and having the parking permit is a huge bonus! It’s a great space and the main bed was comfy. The lounge would be a little snug for 4 adults to comfortably sit in, but the rest of the property was well equipped for 4 adults (enough cutlery, crockery etc) Some of the furnishings in the lounge and the veils at the kitchen windows could do with a refresh, but otherwise a fine property for a short stay. Dartmouth is a lovely little town with art gallery shopping and some cosy restaurants. A great base for exploring the area.

A wonderful space in the heart of Dartmouth Harbour. Beautiful big kitchen/dining area for dinner and drinks with plenty of restaurants and pubs a stones throw away! The hosts were quick to respond to the issue we had (tripped the electric and couldn’t reach the electric box) and sorted everything promptly for us. The apartment is much bigger than we expected and was clean throughout. The measures put in for covid were very reasonable and made us feel very safe during our stay. Would absolutely recommend for couples/families looking for somewhere to stay in the lovely town of Dartmouth.

This is a lovely flat which is right in the heart of Dartmouth. It was fairly clean, nicely styled and they provided two packets of biscuits along with tea coffee and milk for the stay. I had several issues - The electricity wasn't working and it took several hours to contact the host. The airing cupboard door was propped up and not fixed to anything which could have been dangerous. I had to wait an extra hour in town before I could check in and when I asked if I could leave my luggage in the building I had no response (I don't drive so this was an issue). The main oven did not turn on. Google home can play radio but not music as suggested. There is a small black stain on the living room sofa. The windows barely open which made it really hot throughout my stay. That being said, it is good place. The bed is comfortable, the shower has great water pressure, the place is stylish and the location is fantastic.

This place is stylish and spacious, right in the middle of Dartmouth. The two bedrooms are a good size with comfortable beds. The kitchen and dining room is massive and stunningly decorated. The bathroom is also very stylish with a separate toilet. The sitting room is cozy. This is an excellent place to stay and explore South devon. It was lovely in the evening as you are able to stroll anywhere in Dartmouth within 10 minutes. The extra measures for covid were clear and sensible eg check in and out with a lockbox and putting bedding and towels in a bag. We were able to enjoy the local attractions but i would recommend booking eveythinv in advance as resturants, bars and sites are eunning at antecuced capacity.

We stayed at Fairfax place, for 2 nights, with our two Children (4 & 10). The flat is beautifully decorated and clean. The moment you walk through the door you feel relaxed. It has everything you need, the kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom has a lovely rain shower and large bath. The 2 bedrooms are of good size with comfy beds and nice bed linen. The location has to be the plus point, you are literally in the heart of Dartmouth. Next door is a cafe selling lovely pasties, breakfasts, cakes etc. We ate in Rock fish one evening the food was very good. We did crabbing on the River Dart which is just across the street, went on the ferry boat (5 minutes across the water) to get to the Steam railway, which took us to Paignton and back (worth doing). We booked these trips the morning we decided to go, there was no problem getting the tickets as there are several huts along the front where you can buy from. After a full day out we were happy to get back to the flat as it was so comfortable. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and sandwich shops right near the flat. Across the road is a small co-op and Marks & Spencer’s food hall just up the road. We would definitely recommend staying at the Fairfax place. Do note: the flat does have several flights of stairs with no lift)

Very stylishly decorated and great size rooms. Everything worked very well and lovely to have the washer/dryer in the apartment after a day on the water. We have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at Fairfax Place, we didn't want to leave! The apartment itself is stunning, beautifully decorated and modern throughout. It is also in a great location, you are a stone throw away from the River and you have gorgeous coffee shops and eateries right on your doorstep. We can throughly recommend the Cafe Al Fresco for breakfast and Smiths Delicatessen (which is right opposite) for gorgeous coffee and lots of other yummy bits! The hosts were great and very informative, check in and check out was all very straight forward. We will definitely be coming back!

Spectacular flat in the heart of Dartmouth. It couldn’t be better situated for exploring! Across the street is a Coop, and down the street a Boots for any essentials. You enter the flat via a lockbox, which is convenient. The second floor flat is on a corner and affords lots of fresh air from all of its windows. There is noise from people but little from traffic or anything obtrusive. With windows shut, it’s very quiet. The room darkening shades are great! Notes mention the bells but we were disappointed to barely hear them, so anyone concerned by this might not need to worry very much about them. (We enjoyed a lively and engaging Easter service around the corner at St Saviour’s and highly recommend their services!) The flat has a fabulous deep tub and rain shower making bathing blissful after a day in the sun. The beds are comfortable and the pillows and indeed the whole flat is brand new and nicely decorated. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils and appliances. It was easy to cook meals on the induction hob, and with ample counter space. We would definitely book again if we are fortunate enough to return to Dartmouth!
