We were four women of different ages and all enjoyed this bright and fresh apartment with beautiful views. Quiet location and close to the center and a small beach where we took a few dips. We'll be happy to get back to you in the future. Villefranche is a wonderfully beautiful village.

We loved our stay in this apartment and Villefrainche Sur Mer. The views from the balcony are stunning. There is a lovely beach just a short walk from the apartment and also a great range of shops and restaurants down in the old town which is also a short walk. We will definitely be back again.

The space and the apartment's furniture are great, the cleanliness was impeccable and Lucienne is very helpful and kind in her communication. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner of the apartment and he was very polite and kind to us. In addition, the apartment has a beautiful view of the sea, making the stay wonderful.

We had a wonderful 12 night stay at Bella Darse. Great location and fabulous views across the bay. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a self catering holiday. Romain was really helpful and responsive with any questions we had. Would highly recommend the apartment.

We had a lovely week in the flat. It was light, beautiful, spotlessly clean and well-equipped. I loved the simplicity and clean lines of the decor and complete lack of clutter. It was the comfiest bed and loveliest bedroom with a perfect view for my morning cup of tea. We also appreciated how quiet it was yet still a lovely and short walk to the beach, coastal path and to the restaurants and bars in town. I definitely recommend Romain's place.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this Air Bnb! The apartment is better than the pictures with beautiful views of the sea. The apartment is clean, cute, and with comfortable beds and bedding. The air conditioning works really well but you do have to open all the doors to let the air flow through, which is really helpful in hot French Riviera. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, plenty of ice and a washing machine which as helpful. The street was peaceful and an easy 20 minute walk to the train station. There is a beautiful beach close by, just be careful of the stairs;) we had great meals at TOSCA and Olivula in town. Romain the host was also helpful and left very clear instructions. If you are looking for beautiful views although a bit pricey Le Plongeoir is amazing. We absolutely loved this place and cannot wait to come back.

Romain was a great host with awesome recommendations. His place was in a beautiful location with privacy! You can walk to several wonderful beaches and restaurants from the location. I would definitely stay again if i am ever back!

We had a wonderful stay. Romain is an excellent host and all his recommendations for restaurants and places to visit etc were great. It is a beautiful location and the apartment is lovely. Has all the facilities you would need. Romain was extremely responsive to any questions we had. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Great apartment with terraces and beautiful views. Very comfortable and clean with all the amenities you need. AC works well. The apartment works great for a group. There is a lovely beach a 5 min walk away and easy walk to restaurants and the city.

Super responsive and helpful host. Clean apartment with an amazing view. We loved walking into town each day and would definitely come back. The location is close enough to town but also quiet at night. Wish I could stay forever! Pro tip- There is a set of stairs that will quickly take you into Villefranche-sur-mer but wouldn’t recommend them for anyone with mobility issues as they could be a little scary.

Very practical apartment for a family of 5. The view from the window is just great and we can imagine coming back to the apartment. It is ideally located and the parking was easy. It is best to leave the car in front of the house, as the beach at the harbor is within walking distance or you can take the bus connection (Zou). Kitchen is super good and functional. I also liked the 3 ways to make coffee! :) Romain, keep it up! Kind regards, Patricia

despite a hiccup during check-in, we had a lovely stay here! the place is very nice and great location it’s exactly as pictured. i will say the AC & wifi are not the best but i guess that’s europe for you so if that’s not very important to you you’ll have a great stay. waking up to that view every day was a dream. would love to come back to stay again

We loved our stay at Bella Darse! It was better than in the pictures, the view, the little balconies, and the neighborhood were all great! The apartment is simple, but really lovely -old windows and details with a modern bathroom and kitchen. It’s very neat, and super clean, with lots of great storage for clothing in the built in cupboards. There is an air conditioner in one of the bedrooms which keeps the entire apartment cool if the bedroom doors are left open. This was important for us as we were traveling with my mom who is older and sensitive to the summer heat. The apartment is a short walk to the beach, down a flight of cement steps. Also down the steps from the apartment are a few little restaurants and a jazz club. It’s also a beautiful walk around the citadel by the water to the town center. We also enjoyed walking up the street into the small business district with a supermarket, and a farmers market on Tuesday’s and Saturdays. We would love to come again!

Bella Darse was the perfect conclusion to two weeks in France ... a peaceful, relaxing stay overlooking the bay at Villefranche-sur-mer in an area with excellent restaurants and beaches within walking distance. Grocery shops, daily food markets, pharmacies, etc. all also within easy walking distance. The flat itself is exactly as expected and the kitchen well appointed (plenty to cook meals in). The professional hairdryer in the bathroom was very appreciated by my wife and daughter. Romain was very responsive and helpful; his tips were great, his instructions clear, and his response time to questions near instant. We loved our morning walks into town to explore the streets, sip coffee and pick up croissants. Our favourite restaurant nearby was Tosca, a lovely Italian restaurant with friendly staff and very reasonable prices considering the location. Mayssa was also great for dinner. Bakaro for coffee, La Grande Cave for wine. Can't say enough about Bella Darse!

Tastefully decorated flat in a great location to enjoy Villefrance sur mer’s town and beaches. Wonderful restaurants nearby and an easy bus route into Nice along with the train a 20min walk away to take you easily along the coast. Great place as long as you don’t mind a few steps in return for the wonderful view!

We enjoyed our time in Villefranche and Romain’s apartment was a great spot to enjoy all the area has to offer. Romain was super responsive and had great local recommendations. The AC was nice and worked well in the primary bedroom but it didn’t really keep the other rooms cool even with the doors open. However, I would still recommend a stay at Romain’s.

Our stay was beautiful and just what we expected it to be. The only down side is only one of the rooms has AC however it does have a fan. Romain did a stellar job explaining how to cool the apt during the day which helped significantly. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated Romains responsiveness to us. It’s def a gem and great value!

This is an incredible place to stay in Villefranche sur mer! The pictures don’t do the place justice. The view from the balcony was stunning and the entire apartment was beautifully decorated. The apartment is actually bigger than the pictures show. The beds were extremely comfortable and we appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. The bathroom was large and the shower was great. Be aware, if you have mobility issues, there are stairs up to the apartment and stairs to get to the main town. One thing to note for future guests, if you are coming from Nice, be extremely careful that you make the correct turn down the street the apartment is located on. There is a street 10m before the correct one and there is no where to turn around. Check the map!! We highly recommend Romain’s apartment and would easily stay there again.

This place is an absolute gem!! I can't recommend it enough! It is perfectly located, in a beautiful small building (6 units) in a very quiet area with a stunning sea view, yet super easy walk to the beaches and the old town of Villefranche sur mer. Gorgeously decorated and very calm and peaceful. We loved sitting out on the balcony (there are 2!), listening to the sound of the sea, and taking in the amazing view. Parking is also easy on a quiet side street beside the building. Very well-appointed apartment with a beautiful well-stocked kitchen, and very comfortable beds. Romain is a wonderful, caring host, and was so lovely to connect with. We would absolutely love to come back to Bella Darse for another stay soon! We adored it!

Great location in between Nice and a few smaller villages. Just about a 10-15 walk to the old town of Ville-Franche, where it’s beautiful. A shorter walk to a beach. Buses nearby. Romain was very nice, friendly and responsive. Great service. The place is beautifully clean, bed comfortable, amazing view, well equipped kitchen for cooking. The area was quiet. Had an amazing stay!

The view from the balcony of this airy, clean modern and comfortable apartment is stunning. It is a 6 apartment building. Very quiet; you can hear some chatter from the surrounding homes/apartments with the windows and balcony doors open but nothing otherwise when closed. We were so grateful to have AC to cool off after hiking and walking around Villafranche-sur-mer, Nice and surrounding areas. Very accessible to get to bus or trains, restaurants and markets. The apt layout is quite good for the size with a generous primary suite and living room with couches (including 3rd bed if needed) and dining table. Both have small balconies that face out to the harbor. You can see the marina and beautiful views across the water. The smaller 2nd bed is a decent size with ample storage. The kitchen is well appointed and includes a large fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The town is quiet and quaint as compared to Nice (45 minute scenic walk / 15 min car or bus) but there were beach parties and a music festival so options for night life too. We enjoyed listening to music in the harbor from our balcony one afternoon. Romain was a great communicator; he shared pictures of the exact path from the main road to reach the building, check in and enter the apartment. He answered all questions promptly and helped us schedule our taxi to the airport for an early flight as we were nervous our French would not enable us to provide clear directions. We already recommended this apartment to family who intend to visit the area and we would love to return for an even longer stay. What a gem!
