This place was a real find: the view (both from inside and from the little terrace) was absolutely brilliant. The house was spotlessly clean and having AC was a huge plus. We ran into a couple of minor hiccups during our stay (a small AC leak and a brief power outage) but hosts responded quickly both times (even dropping off extra towels for the leak). The final approach to the house is fairly uphill so not the easiest in the heat but the neighborhood is nice and quiet and it’s all absolutely worth it for the view once you’re there. Lastly, hosts arranged a great taxi service for us. Would definitely stay again — highly recommend!

We enjoyed our week at Casa Rosalie. The beautiful views from the outdoor patio garden never got old! We enjoyed eating & relaxing outdoors all week long. We did not have a rental car, so split our outings between ride share & walking down into town. The whole coast is also easily accessible by train. Lovely week on the Cote D’Azur!

We had a fantastic week staying at Casa Rosalie! Communication was great & we felt the space was, in many ways, better than expected. First thing you will notice is the unbelievable view. Pictures do not do it justice. The layout of the property is also very good. We found that it actually serves as two separate "suites" connected by the common living/dining room and the kitchen. This set up would be ideal for two couples (with the bunk beds available for kids). Lots of space and privacy. Grab some wine and listen to Beatles LPs on the little record player. Can't beat it. As for the town, you can't get much more beautiful than Villefranche. The house is on the side of the mountain surrounding the bay. The walk down to town is approx. 10 mins & very pleasant. The walk up is very tough. We did it the first night, said not again, and found it much more pleasurable to grab a taxi or Uber/Bolt from town. Approx. $15 each ride, but worth it. A very memorable week on the Cote d'Azur!

This place has the most amazing view of Villefranche and an adorable outdoor patio to sit on and read and have a coffee. The kitchen is very well stocked with anything you would need and it has two bathrooms which we loved as two couples staying there.

lovely place. perfect for family of 4 to 5. proper AC in every corner of the house is a huge plus. view from this house is 2nd to none. wouldn't recommend if you are not driving but if you have a car, you must stay here with everything you need within 10 minute drive, from the cutest restaurant and bar street to supermarket. ten out of ten!!!

The house is about 4 kilometres from the old town of Nice. The house is on the hillside. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the beach in Villefranche-sur-Mer. It is very comfortable to sit on the terrace in the morning and evening.The sink in one of the toilets was not draining well, there were wet duvet covers in the washing machine when we arrived, there were only sheets on the bed, the duvets were in the cupboard or drawer, and we had to put the duvet covers on ourselves. If the cleaning work was done more thoroughly, the house would be better.

This is a lovely location . The terrace is the best part. The kitchen good. The two connected bedrooms are very damp. The air conditioning made loud notices. The small bathroom has mold. The pictures presented the flat much bigger. But we did enjoy our stay and would return to villefranche sur mer

Very beautiful and comfortable house with an extraordinary view! The walk from downtown to the house was a work-out and we were drenched with sweat in the hot summer sun but the view from the house makes up for it. This house is stunning - it is very comfortable (has air conditioning that works well) and the terrace is a great space to relax. Someone parked in one of the two spots reserved for this house but there was always one spot left so we had no issues.

Romain and the accommodation were perfect. He’s an amazing host. So friendly and helpful. The place has a great view. Steep hill but very walkable to the train station. Took our mostly fit crew 8min to train station and 10 min walk from train station. Lots of space at the house. Will stay again! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay for a week, 2 adults and 2 older teens. The space had plenty of room and the views are gorgeous. The village of Ville Franche-ser-mer is exactly what we were looking for. A quiet beautiful location as a base for us to enjoy and explore rest of the French Riviera. As others have mentioned, getting up and down to town and trains everyday is a workout but one we enjoyed. Helped to work off all the wine and rich food. We used several of Romain's recommendations for restaurants, private beaches, etc and were happy with every one of them. Really felt we were able to see the best the Riviera had to offer and avoid the more crowded touristy areas. A great stay!

Incredible view, private, secluded, safe property yet close enough to even walk into town with outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful south of France view. The vila was clean and practical. Nice large windows throughout that you can open and enjoy the ocean view. Remodeled kitchen and bathrooms. Contemporary, easy going decoration that makes you feel comfortable and on vacation. The host was flexible, communicative and understanding. Would definitely book again! Will not disappoint!

Hi, This was our 3rd stay in the area of Villafranche su mer, overlooking the bay of Jean Cap Ferat.. Amazing location on the French Riviera. After exploring the coast again from St Tropez, Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Monaco, Ez and all points in between for 2 weeks we continue to relly appreciate the Villafranche Location and Romains place. See you next year!

Romain's place was amazing: very spacious and comfortable, a beautiful terrace with a breathtaking view, all the amenities, and well stocked. Having an AC in every room was really nice in July :). When we ran out of some supplies, Romain was kind enough to arrange someone to bring them to us even though he did not have to. The location is within walking distance to a very nice beach and old town. There is a lot of public transport, but we had a car and made some amazing driving tours and hiking, all within 30 min drive. We hope to be there again!

Our stay at Romani’s was wonderful. The apartment was clean and very comfortable for a family of 4. Kitchen was well stocked. Romain was an excellent host, always checking to see if we had everything we need. Terrace and views were an amazing bonus. The location is a 1/2 mile walk up from town so if you don’t have a car, you will get great exercise. Wound stay here again.

Our family of 5 was very comfortable in this charming sea village home. Beds were comfortable, air condition was very good, views were spectacular, kitchen was well stocked, and the great collection of records and the record player were a welcome touch. Dishwasher and washing machine also worked well. Check-in and check-out were very smooth and Romain was super helpful and quick to respond to the few questions we had during our stay. If renting a car, park a few blocks up from the house where the road is a bit more wide. The home is well situated for day trips up and down the French Riviera. It is a bit of a hike if walking down/up from the main shopping/restaurant area, but definitely doable for those without mobility issues. Overall, a memorable stay in a unique home on the Cote d'Azur.

Beautiful place and extremely responsive and helpful host. He gave us great tips for the area and fixed a problem with the AC unit immediately. He was also flexible with check in and check out and gave great instructions. The place was a hike up from the town but we did it with a 4 year old and a baby several times and the views were beautiful so it’s very doable even with kids!

Emphasizing this location is walkable to those in great shape. It is a bit of a hike to the amenities. The area appears very safe no matter the time as we were out late. Enjoying the area makes the walk less of an issue, especially since the train is less of a walk. Romain was an exquisite host, answering every question in a timely fashion. Providing detailed suggestions of surrounding items, areas of enjoyment. Romain was like our very own built-in travel agent. Honestly, could have stayed in Villefranche sur Mer the entire time and had a pleasant stay, but since the train was so accessible and inexpensive, we ventured out to most of the Cote d'Azur and Ventimiglia. Everyday, we returned for a delicious dinner at one of the fabulous restaurants on the waterfront (they were all very friendly and the food, absolutely delectable). We made friends here for a lifetime and are thinking of actually purchasing a residence. It would be nice to provide guests outlet converters. HEAVEN on EARTH!

Fabulous host. The very definition of a super host. Extremely responsive with great recommendations. Place was ideal up on the hillside overlooking the water. Genuinely spectacular. Everything you would expect. If you think of the south of France, this is it. I would definitely stay there again. Easy access to train station. Great town with excellent local restaurants. I enjoyed myself greatly. You do have to be capable of walking up hills. But that is the nature of the region. Uber friendly.

(Visit during the winter) Apartment with a superb view, very well equipped and very relaxing place. Villefranche-sur-Mer and the surrounding area are really pleasant for walking and discovering the landscapes of the Côte d'Azur. Romain is very responsive to messages, the instructions are very clear and documented, you can't miss anything, everything is planned. Small downside is parking the car which remains a little complicated, but this remains a detail that you forget very quickly once in the apartment. Don't hesitate, it's a great experience.

We had a great time at Romain's place who is an available and responsive host! In season, bring the mosquito repellent creams to enjoy the terrace in the evening because they did not spare us! The view is breathtaking, the house is very well-equipped and thank you for the food planned for the first day! Very convenient! We enjoyed the children's books and games available as well as the "vintage" vinyl collection. Thanks again!

This place is pretty perfect — clean, spacious, well-equipped, air-conditioned, and ultimately the terrace — well, it’s a La good as the photos suggest. In fact, it’s better. Yes, the walk up the hill is punishing in the current heat, but it’s a minor quibble. It’s the best AirBnB I’ve ever stayed in.

We really enjoyed our stay at Romain's house and found it very well equipped, comfortable and clean. The view was amazing, but with the position in the hills also comes a lot of walking ito get to the beach, main town or groceries , f you don't have a car, so I would recommend a car or scooter. Going into Nice and other towns along the Riviera was also great by bus, which is very close by. However, we loved the house and would stay again.

A fun, clean, and quirky place with beautiful views in a beautiful old villa. The A/C works well throughout the house. The patio/terrace area is a nice way to begin or end your day with spectacular views of the bay. The layout of the house is fun, with some rooms having lots of views and windows, and others being nice, cool, and dark. There are many upgrades and modern additions to the historic old Villa Diannina. The walk to Villefranche-sur-Mer was easy going down the hill, but a strenuous workout on the way up. There are many stairs, but easily within walking distance to the Villefranche train station and restaurants. We would walk to dinner in town, but take an Uber back home up the hill (approximately 13 Euros). The neighborhood seems very safe. Highly recommended.

C’etait vraiment parfait! Très proche a centre ville, les lits sont comfortable, la vue est magnifique. This place was perfect - very close (walking distance) into the middle of town/the beach, the beds were very comfortable, the view was amazing from the terrace and the bedrooms. Highly recommend!

There were 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children) at Casa Rosalie. Although the weather wasn't that great, we had a good time. The kitchen is well equipped and the terrace is very cool. Bus no. 5 took us easily to Cap Ferrat and Nice, which was great because we didn't have a car. Walking up and down is tough and only really feasible with children aged 6 or 7 and over, or if they are used to walking steeply uphill. A small road runs under the house. It didn't bother us, but if you're sensitive, you would have to move to the back bedroom, which leads to the terrace. Romain always responded quickly, and check-in and check-out were easy.

Beautiful views and a lovely space! Romain was a so welcoming and helpful. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked, and we really enjoyed the outdoor area. One note: there are other units up the hill that overlook the terrace - we didn't see anyone/have any issues but it's not totally private if that's something that's important to you.

This place is a piece of heaven. We loved it so much we extended our stay. It is clean, bright, spacious, comfortable and with gorgeous views. It doesn’t get any better! The patio area was so relaxing — our favorite part was laying out on the super comfy daybed overlooking the bay. We loved eating meals outside (the kitchen has everything you might need), as well as walking down to Villefranche for lunches and dinners. We didn’t have a car so it was a bit of a hike back up to the place, but it was sooo worth it. Romain was a fantastic host who was communicative, kind, and flexible. We would definitely recommend this amazing place!

Beautiful location with an amazing patio and view. Better than the photos. The outdoor couch was our favorite spot to relax and soak in the view. Romain was super flexible and helpful. It’s a 15 minute walk down to the beach and harbor. Lots of steps but it gets you to the water, restaurants, and the train station.

The accommodation was everything that one could imagine a French villa could be and more. It was an absolute joy and a wonderful experience to stay there. The house is in a great quiet neighbourhood, where one can relax and rest, but it is also close to the beach, some brilliant restaurans and bus stops you can visit if you are lookin for an adventure. The villa is spacious and really well designed. The beautiful decorations, the amazing aura of the house and the well equipted kitchen will absolutely add to the enjoyment of your stay. As a part of the villa you can enjoy a beutiful patio/ garden area that is perfect for a beautiful outdoor feast. You can enjoy the sun in one of he many lounge chairs provided, or you can wake up to the most beautiful view of the beach. Romain is an absolutely wonderful host, he is really helpful and we could always reach him whenever we had a question or needed help. With him a wonderful vacation and a great time is guaranteed.
