The house was fine enough for a work trip away. It does require some modernisation though. Friendly neighbours and close to the town centre which was handy. Lovely garden to sit in and unwind in.

Hello dear future guests, I stayed here with a colleague in the house and felt right at home! Very nice little cottage with a nice garden! However, we could not claim because the season was too cold with us! But very nice in the summer! Sarah is a great hostess and very accommodating! Understanding and very helpful! I would love to book this place again! So look forward to the accommodation and enjoy it! Nearby are beautiful small towns also that you can travel by car! Thanks for the stay! See you next time :-)

Unfortunately the previous place we booked was unstable - they did offer us here as an alternative however we didn't have much choice to accept being 6 hours away from home. Property itself was ok however there was some issues. Garden fence was down, carpets were dirty, dog poo and cigarette ends in the garden. Beds were uncomfortable. Location is ok for Andover however is on a busy street with only 1 space for parking. It's an ok place to stay if you're not planning on spending a lot of time there. Could do with a bit of TLC

Kitchen hob was dirty and greasy, pots and pans dirty, springs coming through all mattresses. Property was tired and in need of decoration. Very clean white towels and bedding.

The house is comfortable and the garden very pretty. The mattresses need replacing and a few little things need a bit of tlc. We stayed over month and so really would have appreciated a little more flexibility when we were departing.

Negative: Carpets weren't clean when we arrived, bad smell and dog hair from previous tenant. Not good for 11 month old daughter, picked hair out of her mouth. My wife found a dog poo in the garden too. Washing machine wasn't working, but they replaced it when asked. Hoover fell apart but I couldn't be bothered to chase it up, just borrowed one from my family. House was really cold when I arrived and I had to readjust the entire heating system for our 11 month old. Front door is a pain to open. Positive: Kitchen and patio weren't bad, good oven. TV had streaming services, bedrooms were ok.

we stayed at the lovely house while we were between houses. tbh I have worked in Andover and don't really like the town, but the house looked great and Sarah was happy for us to bring our six dogs with us so we booked. And thank goodness we did. What a beautiful house in a lovely quiet area with a wonderful garden that our dogs loved to be in. After a crazy few weeks of moving, it was lovely to kick back and finally relax in this Victorian haven. They beds were comfortable and so was the lounge. We needed this time at the lovely Victorian home and were sad to leave. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a bit of peace and quiet in lovely surroundings

Had difficulty with the key safe and the lock. Once we got the knack the lock was ok. but on leav ing I had to put the keys through the letter box as I could not reopen the keysafe. The house was beautifully clean - apart from a dirty pan in the oven. The bedding was immaculate. It was good to have a dish washer but the cutlery and crockery were inadequate and of poor quality. One cereal dish was chipped and cracked. Despite the no smoking notice there were cigarette buts in the paving slabs on the patio. In the middle bedroom neither the main lights nor the blinds were working.

Unfortunately this property is in serious need of some work. The front living room smells not just musty, but actually foul - opening the windows only helped a little. There were stains all over the sofas and bedsheets and my partner, who has a dust allergy, couldn't stop sneezing. I will admit that the host's communication was prompt, but the promised cleaning never happened. They also wanted me to login through a third-party internet site - withholding the check-in info until I did so - and provide them with a whole bunch of private data that they didn't need. After escalating this to Airbnb the host finally agreed to refund me the cleaning fee. All in all, I won't be staying at one of this host's properties again.

We didn’t actually stay here, we were moved to a different property due to a gas leak. But the accommodation they did give us worked well. Comfortable beds, great shower, good WiFi and parking. Good location with a tesco express within walking distance.

I didn’t end up staying in this property due to a leak, therefore cannot pass judgement. The property we were put in was less than desirable, so if this isn’t available I would recommend cancelling and re-booking somewhere else.

This property is in need of severe maintenance and smells foul. There are large damp patches on the walls and cracked plaster on ceilings, stains on the carpets and sofas, dirty marks on the walls, peeling and scratched paintwork and the bath is falling apart. The kitchen is lacking in cooking utensils and much of what is there is in poor condition and needs replacing. All the mattresses are old and worn and need to be replaced, as do the sofas and other pieces of furniture. For the sake of our two young children, we spent the first couple of hours of our stay looking for alternate accommodation but were unable to find anything and so had to continue our stay. However, we will be pursuing a refund.

Stayed for a week. Excellent size home for a family with a good kitchen, dining area, large lounge and beautiful garden. Close to town with off street parking. House furniture needs to be replaced as very old, dated and uncomfortable. Master bedroom bed is uncomfortable when having to use for multiple nights. My children liked their rooms and both said the beds where comfy.

I was asked to send email to get check in details which I refused as I wanted everything on AirbnB site. Even with a late check in, the property wasn't ready when I turned up. The house is very run down and was more like a student house. Pictures are giving the wrong impression. Mattress was a thin cheap metal sprung one which I had to sleep ontop of the duvet to stop the metal sticking in me. Was given two very small cheap, thin towels which felt like cardboard and "warned" if I used any more I'd be charged extra. The washing machine and dish washer were filthy so too were the floors and there was food on the walls in the kitchen. They hadn't replaced the scourer in the kitchen (all of 50p to do so) and was given a worn out cloth - I wouldn't use either and used my own. They provided UHT milk in sachets, cheap coffee in sachets and near empty salt and pepper grinders - in fact the pepper one didn't work. The sofas in the lounge were filthy, even the throw was dirty with stains all over it and they were so old and worn out they were uncomfortable to sit on. The TV didn't work probably because the batteries weren't working and they hadn't bothered to check. The blinds were thick with dust and there was dog poo in the garden. The garden furniture was so old and unstable I couldn't sit at it. This isn't a quiet neighbourhood road as previous reviewer wrote, and there's a loose man hole cover outside the property that makes a racket that you can hear all through the house and in the back bedroom all through the night. If you need a place to stay - you'd be advised to go elsewhere unless you really don't care about having a comfortable stay. Highly overrated and overpriced for what you get. There is no way they spent the money charged for cleaning - if they did, they need to change cleaners.

As the name says, this is a lovely Victorian terrace house. Nice big rooms, plenty of space and all the amenities you need. There is off-street parking but it is a bit tight if you have anything bigger than a hatchback. The location is good, being about a 10 min walk into town and there are a number of supermarkets also within walking distance, with a corner shop literally 2 min along the street from the property. The place was a bit big for me as a single traveller but it was a last minute booking so I was pleased to get something. It would be ideal for a group of friends or a family.

Everything we required was available. The vendors communication was quick and helpful. The property just as nice as we had hoped. We had an excellent stay. One small note would be to check the restrictions on the parking bays in the road. It didn't affect us as we visited during the weekend, but may impact those staying during week days.

Great location if you need to be close to Andover. Very Clean. Only space for one car off road and it’s parked on a steep gradient. It’s not a cottage, but a terraced Victorian house. Great if you need a base in the area.

Excellent location just a few minutes walk from Andover's town center and the train station. House is a bit vintage, with some updated features (e.g. TV and light fixtures). The gas stove is a bit tricky to work, but functional. Loved having a washer and dryer on site! Sarah is a lovely hostess- very responsive to any questions and concerns I had! I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Andover!
