Arriving at the apartment was very disappointing. The beds weren't made, and there were no towels or kitchen towels, nor dishwasher tablets. Moreover, it was terribly hot. There was no coffee maker; Amazon only delivered a filter coffee machine after three days. Unfortunately, we couldn't buy filters anywhere, so we used paper towels. The Wi-Fi often doesn't work, and the sink is frequently clogged. The apartment is very noisy, and cigarette smoke from the neighbors comes in through the bedroom. The fire alarm went off twice. The electricity was out, including the Wi-Fi. There was a shared washing machine that was constantly in use. The small gas burner didn't work. The furniture was uncomfortable, the large sofa was sagging, and the chairs on the balcony were rusty. The carpet in the room was a fall hazard; we had to tape it down. Dust on the ceiling, in the laundry closet, and under the bed. The fans were old and noisy. The apartment is way too expensive, it costs $1,000.00 p.d.

The place was clean, in a good location close to the beach and the center of shops. The house itself was a good size for three guests. A few things didn't work, and a few things were missing. Which was a little less enjoyable. But overall I would recommend the place under the assumption that the house malfunctions would be fixed. The shower door Dishwasher Balcony Roofing And the locks

This apartment is in a nice spot - walkable to Double Bay restaurants and shops and so close to Woollahra / Paddington. The balcony is really lovely, and the place gets great sunlight all day.

Overall, everything was clean and well presented. We were happily surprised to find a kitchen with more than enough cookware, utensils, plates amd cookware, and a huge sofa in the living area. Bathroom soaps, shampoos and hand cream were a very nice touch. The fans in the bedrooms were great and the air conditioning was more than enough for the combined kitchen/living area. Although the single beds were close together this was just fine for four adults over 12 days during summer. I look forward to a repeat booking.

Awesome location just a short walk to ferry and restaurants and bars. Nice and quiet. Highly recommend. Only improvement would be a better shower head as water pressure not that great. Would definitely use again.

We stayed for 5 nights and had a great time! The location is perfect- a few hundred meters from the Double Bay ferry, all the restaurants and an easy walk to Rose bay! The apartment was beautifully presented and we will certainly be returning! Thanks for a great Sydney holiday!

Great location in double bay and close to Sydney CBD, beautiful area. Apartment was a good size and had all the amenities. It was just a little unclean and dusty especially the rug and sofa in the lounger room, just noticeable for us as my hayfever played up with the dust. Otherwise perfectly located place and good for a short stay.

Very bright and charming apartment. Lovely neighbourhood and quick walk to the ferry and shops. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is very tight and would be hard for pregnant or larger humans. Overall a great spot.

Great location! We chose this apartment as we use to live in Double Bay and wanted to be close to our old "spots". We stayed with our 3 year old twins and 18 month old and it was just perfect for us. Clean, tidy and extremely functional. Would definitely stay again!

There were pros and cons. The location is excellent, it's very quiet, check-in and parking are easy and the property manager was very responsive. Considering the price and "luxurious" tag, however, we left disappointed. The main issues: when we arrived the apartment was dirty. The manager did arrange for it to be re-cleaned, but it still remained dusty in the corners and under the beds and sofa. Also remaining was a food stain under the sofa, and we found kitchen utensils still had grub/burn marks. The "hotel-grade" linen in the description is generous. We had to ask for an extra sheet for one bed as no protector. The bathroom, specifically the toilet, is very cramped (tall people will have their knees against sink) and the water from the shower easily leaks onto the main floor. The washing machine, as described, is communal - but it is in a filthy and unsecured basement. Again, the property manager did help us for which we are thankful, but we still feel it is over-described.

Great apartment in a fabulous location. The apartment is nicely decorated and is in a peaceful setting. It is a wee bit tired and could do with a bit of a spring clean. Obviously this is a popular apartment! Loved the lounge, kitchen, dining for the space and comfort. The bathroom is quite small. The company kindly let us check in early and were very proactive in their communication. Overall, a great stay. Thank you.

We stayed at the apartment whilst visiting my daughter for 6 days. We used the apartments great location mainly as a base. Five minutes walk from the Double Bay ferry giving us easy access to all locations within Sydney Harbour. The ferry’s are clean efficient and highly recommended as a quick means of transport. The Double Bay Area is well serviced with shops cafes and restaurants. It has several sandy beaches suitable for swimming. It’s reasonably quiet for a city suburb, we loved it. We rented the apartment for its location, light airy open plan feel. It provided the internal space we required along with a small outside balcony. Not overlooked with a pretty garden aspect. The apartment block is low rise and well maintained. The parking space for our hire car was very valuable. We would stay at this apartment again if back in Sydney.

Great spot ~ perfectly in between Sydney & Bondi Beach. If you enjoy getting some steps in, it’s a great/fun walk ~ or a cheap Uber ride. A lot of nice/cool bars/restaurants in the area as well.

We have never stayed in Double Bay before, and now I don’t think we can stay anywhere else! Our host was friendly, the apartment was well taken care of and perfect for a family of 4 wanting a weekend away. Tucked away from the full on city but easily accessible when we wanted it. Loved our Sunday stroll in the local area as well as the convenience for travel to sporting venues and a ferry to the city. Highly recommend.

Overall this apartment has a fantastic location a few minutes walk to the beach and to restaurants and shops of Double Bay . Great Woolworths and bottle shop is easy 10 min walk but also free 1 hour parking at the store. It’s a good property , simple but clean spacious and light with decent shade and good security and pretty well equipped . It’s comfortable with a very big corner sofa to watch free Netflix if you need . One single bed frame was broken and couldn’t be fixed because of Christmas but a spare mattress made this bearable - although someone should have spotted this before . Some paint work throughout and the bathroom is now a little tired with a chip in the bath enamel but everything works well and the shower is strong . Well equipped kitchenette and appliances clean and working well . All linen was clean and comfortable. Finally the Abode staff are very helpful and responsive .

This two bedroom apartment was perfect for our weekend in Sydney. The location was perfect, so close to double bay beach and lots of close shops and places to eat. The place was clean and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need!

I have been using Airbnb for years. This is one of the worst ones I’ve stayed in. The pictures on Airbnb are NOT accurate. The house is OLD. The beds are old. We saw 4 cockroaches. They had an old twin mattress in the closet that looked disgusting. The mattress in the VERY small master bedroom was at least 20 years old. The bathroom was dirty as well as the kitchen table. I normally only write good reviews. However, coming from a 10 hour flight arriving at midnight to find such a horrible place to stay was something I don’t want to happen to others. I will say she responded quickly but was not workable in a refund since we left at 6am.

The location of the apartment was so perfect! It is walking distance to so much amenity. We were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartment. There are also two balconies in the apartment from the living room and from one of the bedrooms. The doors to these could not be locked which was a concern as the the apartment is not far from the ground.

We used to live in the eastern suburbs and now have a daughter who lives there. This apartment is a perfect eastern suburbs base. It has off street car parking (which is definitely a bonus and takes the pain out of finding a carpark!). The apartment itself is up one flight of stairs and is very light and airy and spacious. It has two small balconies - which let in lots of natural light. There are no close neighbours from these balconies so the apartment feels very private. The apartment is nicely decorated. We found it very comfortable. It is only a short walk from the 18 foot skiff club at Double Bay. And really very close to everything else in Double Bay, with a good Woolworths within walking distance or an easy drive. The Edgecliffe train station is up the top of the hill and the CYC is over the hill. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom is not large but it is fine. We would definitely stay at this apartment again. Ideal for a family of four.

Great location , especially for catching the ferry, cleaners need some supervision , old dishcloth left in the sink, sink had not been cleaned and strange odour in the kitchen, comfy beds . Bathroom very small . Air conditioner not working the best . Watch the front door as it slams shut behind you , before you no it you have locked yourself out!! And that's expensive. ! Antiquated lock box dangling over stair rail, would be so much easier to have a lock code on the door.

I'm very disappointed. I was meant to be going to a funnel and needed to cancel, because they made Double Bay a red zone. If I went I would have to self isolate for 14 days when I went back to Melbourne. I was out of my control. Abbie said I was going to get 50% back from my $775. But only received $82.50. They charge $250 for the place to clean and I didn't even enter the place. I am really hoping she will came back to me and explain why she couldn't give this back.

A lovely accommodation option in a great location. Very solid and quiet. Possibly not as new / sparkly as the photos depict but nonetheless clean, bright and airy. Easy parking and access to the streets of beautiful double bay.

Stylish, hotel like accommodation with a good sized living space. Good for access to double bay and edgecliff station, though less well equipped than some Airbnb’s in terms of home comforts like teas and coffees. The TV unfortunately did not work properly during our stay - could not connect to Netflix and didn’t turn off using the remote - you had to turn off the mains switch.
