This place is simply unbeatable! Breathtaking views of the mountains, gorgeous interior design, every bedroom comes with a full bath which is so convenient. Everything is clean and neat. Lisa is a great host who is always responsive! We regret that we only booked this place for two nights!

We truly enjoyed our stay! The house was peaceful and away from all the hustle and bustle, which made it the perfect place for our wedding weekend. It was spacious, bright, and comfortable for our family and kids, with plenty of natural sunlight throughout the day. The host was responsive, easy to communicate with, and kindly allowed us to check in early and check out late — which we really appreciated. Highly recommend this place!

We loved staying at Lisa’s place in the Gibbston Valley. It was a true sanctuary. The location was incredible - there were views everywhere you looked. And at the same time, it also felt like we were part of the view. The house itself was huge with everything we needed and more. Would love to bring back a bigger group of family & friends the next time we come over (if Lisa will have us!) as it is so well set up to cater to large groups. Despite its size it still felt very cosy (the underfloor heating was perfection) and was beautifully styled. I loved walking to/from the local wineries and wandering amongst the vines on the property itself. Coronet Peak ski field was an easy 30 minute drive from the property which worked out very well for us. All in all, a perfect stay. A big thank you for organising it to snow the night we arrived - it was beautiful to watch as it fell on the property and made for great ski conditions up on the slopes!

Comfy beds, quality linen and towels. Fabulously stocked kitchen with plenty of serving ware and glassware for all guests. Great modern appliances and spacious kitchen/dining area as pictured. Rustic grounds with awesome views and nice hot spa is perfect for colder days.

The estate was absolutely beautiful, though it was a lot closer to the highway than it appears in photos and a few times people got lost and ended up at our door which was a bit concerning. The bedrooms, bathroom and spa were our highlights, and the beautiful white lounge room with fire place. The induction cook tops were not great and were difficult to use, dryer was full of lint which my sister cleaned, and the garbage situation was quite poor as there were 9 of us for 4 days but when we went to take out rubbish which was 100s of metres away from the property, the garbage was already full. All in all, it was still a lovely stay with some slight inconveniences but was worth the money and would most definitely stay again

Due to tekapo's road closure and the delay on the road, we couldn't see anything when it was dark.Five of us were at the wrong turn at the location of the mailbox, causing us to have been turning circles and going to the wrong house.The host was always communicating with us and it was comforting to us.Wake up the next day to be stunned by the view and it was awesome.The house is also very large and has a restroom in each room.The kitchen is very well equipped, so you can make your own food.The restaurant recommended by the host is also tasty!Highly recommended.A small suggestion, you can leave a little light when someone is staying, or there is a small guide light on the road in case it's a little hard to see at night.

A house set up beautifully for a large family. Everyone loved their super comfortable beds and own bathroom. The hot tub soothed muscles after a long day skiing and the log fire was lovely to relax in front of at night. An easy drive to Arrowtown and away from the traffic & hustle of Queenstown, it is a home you’ll relax and recharge.

This is a beautiful luxury home. We had 2 families stay, 9 people in total, and it was perfection. I loved the beds, bathrooms, kitchen. It was private, the outdoor firepit was fun to roast marshmallows and the outdoor spa was so blissful. We visited queenstown and arrowtown and while this home was a 20 minute drive from Queenstown we loved the privacy and space this distance gave us. Highly recommend staying here.

Lisa's house was beautiful. The location was stunning and it had a fantastic amount of room for our family. It was close to wineries and secluded enough to evade the Queenstown bustle. Lots of space for the kids and babies to roll around without worrying about them too which was great. There were a couple of things I thought could be improved however; During our stay a new house was being installed right next door. It wasn't a major inconvenience, but it would have been nice to be given a heads up that this would be happening during our stay, especially since the seclusion of the property is one of it's biggest features. Having several workmen around the house during our stay definitely impacted that. The second would be the heating - it was very inconsistent room to room. Also the control units for each room do not actually work. This meant our babies were waking up at night because the temp was dropping. Also there was no supplies provided for the fire so we had to get our own.

Really beautiful place to stay, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Close enough to queenstown and Arrowtown. The house was immaculate, very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were particularly thankful for the toys for our two young sons. The hot tub was an added bonus for our stay during the winter months

We stayed at Lisa‘s place for a month, so we experienced this incredible space and its environs inside and out. We can’t say enough about the experience, about Lisa and Lauren‘s responsiveness and helpfulness, and the amazing locale and our ability to enjoy it—from within the home itself, short walks in the area, and short drives to places like Arrowtown, Queenstown, and Lake Hayes. A dream, inside and out! If you are an astronomy fan, Gibbston was just added to the international list of Dark Sky Parks, and we experienced the peak of this with the aurora australis one night by just stepping out the back door and standing on the lawn…Absolutely mind blowing, the experience of a lifetime! We stayed here with our three month old and our four-year-old, and all of the rooms are amenable to kiddos with blackout curtains galore. The space is very kid friendly, inside & out!

Beautiful space and the views were amazing. Clean house, lots of room for 6 adults. Host was very proactive with communication and had helpful instructions. Only downside was how well the kitchen was equipped. We struggled to find things like oven mitts and only one pan (out of many) worked with the induction stove top, which was frustrating given how beautiful the kitchen was which made us want to use it lots. Otherwise, we would given the place 5 stars.

A stunning location you would struggle to beat. Loads of neighbouring vineyards to enjoy and the property is surrounded by vines and mountain views. I can only imagine how the views would be during winter but our March stay was still impressive. The property is beautiful and well setup with each room having its own wonderfully decorated bathroom, loads of parking space and a stunning living, dining and entertainment space in the middle. This property is better than it looks in the pictures and is an incredible place to spend time. So spacious and cosy. The kitchen is an incredible space to prepare meals. The beds are THE most comfortable I have ever slept in - including my own bed! Every bedroom has an ensuite. The 2 fireplaces were used and the hot tub - under the stars. 10 out of 10 - we loved it 😊 thank you for having uss 🤩😍

We selected the location to have a flat area for the grandchildren to play in and this spot was ideal. Views were lovely and a highlight was the 3 km Peregrine loop walk just across the road which took you along the gorge top of the Karawarau River. Walk was easy enough for our 3 year and 5 year old. The house accommodated the 11 of us very comfortably and whilst location was a bit out of the centre of traditional activity for Queenstown it was only a 30 min drive back and 20 min to Arrowtown. The local Gibbston tavern a 10 min walk was a very relaxed spot for lunch or dinner. We would definitely stay again.

Incredible home in wine country! The hot tub was an absolute treat on a cool night with a glass of wine or whiskey enjoying the evening sunset. Interior of the home was immaculate and an artistic inspiration for our future home. Everywhere else we stayed in NZ was underwhelming by comparison. An absolute gem. Host was pleasant and communicated clear expectations and instructions. Highly recommend. No complaints whatsoever.

The house was not that clean when we checked in. There was a window that was left wide open, dead bugs everywhere, ceiling in the main area had several cobwebs on it, kitchen and pantry sinks were left filthy, refrigerator had a smell and gunk left under the produce drawer, sticky spots left on the floor in the kitchen, outdoor areas were left disheveled and cobwebs all over the exterior of the home. Our group didn’t find this stay overly relaxing and this is due to the long list of rules and expectations. We always intend to be respectful of other people’s homes (my reviews reflect this.) The underfloor heating never did work in portions of the home. When the host called us about this, she first blamed the kids for playing with the electric panel. The kids in our group hadn’t even checked in yet. We had a laugh at the manual asking us to water the plants - this isn’t a house sitting deal. Disappointed at lack of attention to detail for price. Location good & scenery was beautiful

An unforgettable stay! Absolutely beautiful property, with all the amenities you need and more. We had some memorable movie nights, enjoyed the spa, which is massive, and enjoyed the local vineyards for restaurants, as well as a trip to Aosta in Arrowtown. With gibbston winery up the road, we hired ebikes, had massages, and enjoyed great food. the property is also directly opposite the most incredible walking and biking track with unbelievable views! Lisa was such an incredible host responding to any questions we had within a matter of minutes. We loved our stay and can confirm it was worth every cent.

Our long weekend was for 5 family members coming together from around NZ for a catch up. All having our own ensuites bedrooms was awesome. The kitchen/dining/lounge/outside had awesome facilities for a lot of people. Lovely and roomy. Terrific layout and very well equipped. The beds were all super comfy. Temps got down to 1 and was frosty/foggy but we were toasty. Location is great to go in many directions for food and activities. Gibbston Tavern is a must. We all want to come back in 2 years time as next year is North Island. Thank you Lisa & team.

Superb! We could not have asked for better accomodation for our wine trip. The house was immaculate and had everything one could need. There were five of us each with our own bedroom and bathroom. The beds were luxurious and super comfy, the BBQ and Nespresso machine came in very handy and the fireplace got a workout each night. Perfectly located in wine country with a stunning outlook and with easy access to Queenstown, Arrowtown and all the wineries in Gibbston, Cromwell and Bannockburn. This place has it all, including a wonderful and accomodating host. Can’t wait to come back.

This place is an absolute gem. Conveniently located in the Gibbston Wine Valley, it provides a one of a kind, quiet, secluded place that is not too far from Queenstown, Arrowtown, Wanaka and more. Each room has its own bathroom which is a major plus. You get way more than what you pay for.

Our families had a very relaxing stay at Lisa's place, a great location in the heart of Pinot country and a great way to end our 3 weeks in NZ. The home was as described and pictured, and great for our two families to base ourselves in Gibston valley for day trips to Arrowtown, Lake Hayes and Queenstown and then return to the tranquillity and relax each evening with BBQs, beers and wine. Lisa was always available for questions and responded quickly, and was proactive in resolving minor issues. Thanks to Lisa for allowing us to share in the fantastic lifestyle your property affords ... definitely has us thinking of a longer-term stay in the region so our kids can experience the full kiwi experience.

Lisa was a friendly and responsive host and the house and location is beautiful! Quality furnishings, the beds were like sleeping on a cloud! The big selling point for us was that each room had its own en suite. The large table was excellent for our big group and the space was well utilised. We wish we could have stayed longer. The hot tub was a pleasure to relax in after a long day of driving to sightsee and the kitchen was great to cook in with almost every utensil you could think of. We appreciated the baby bowls and spoons, the highchair and travel cot and the lovely books in the den. We would love to come and stay again if we are down this way with a big group again - thank you Lisa

Our team had the most incredible stay at Gibbston. The location surprised us the most and all of the amazing amenities surrounding the property while also feeling rural. Loads of restaurants and nothing was too far away Being surrounded by the vines was magic. The property was very clean, the furnishings are stand out and luxurious and very spacious. All staff having there own bathrooms was a big bonus for us and the reason for choosing this property. The property had everything it needed and the host was helpful. Access was super easy with a simple key pad and code. We cant wait to return to this little slice of paradise. Five stars all around.
