The apartment was exceptionally clean, spacious, and exactly as shown in the photos. Everything was well-organized with great attention to detail, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant and cozy. The location is also convenient, making the stay even more comfortable. The flat is great for larger groups, with plenty of space and a lovely roof terrace. The location is also very good. We all found the check-in process a bit cumbersome, as everyone had to upload their ID. In addition, an extra €50 is charged for a later check-in, which I do not understand. Why isn't this handled via a key box? I do not need anyone to show me the flat in person. Here, customers are only being charged for unnecessary services. We also booked a late check-out until 2:00 p.m. for €20 euros, which was also confirmed and charged to us. On the day of our departure, the manager is at the door at 11 a.m. to throw us out, claiming he knows nothing about it, saying it's our problem and that we have to leave within the next 10 minutes. No insight or apology whatsoever on his part. The flat and the location are good, but unfortunately, everything else is not.

We stayed here with a party of six. It was a fantastic place to be in Barcelona. Here are three things to know: 1.) The unit has three large french doors that open onto the narrow street in Barri Gòtic. You can open all of them, put a chair out on the deck and watch the light change throughout the day. It is amazing. 2.) The location is minutes from everything in Barri Gòtic, the water, multiple metro stops, stores, bakeries, churches, and even a trampoline in Plaça de Sant Miquel. 3.) The kitchen has an electric water heater, a French Press, plates, mugs, cups, etc. Every morning we would have breakfast from Forn de Pa Sant Jordi or Forns Del Pi with coffee. It was a great place to stay in with the doors open, or to go out.

Totaling about $475 a night, this stay was OK. The hosts were kind, responsive, and helpful. Unfortunately, even though there were quiet hours (after 10pm) we had noisy neighbors/a busy street that caused us to be woken up each night. The apartment was clean-ish (shower was a bit musty), but overall looked like the photos. The shower leaked when it was on and the water was warm, but not hot. We also noticed mosquitos upon arrival and my sister/I unfortunately left with a few bug bites. What we did appreciate was being able to leave our luggage in the office next door since we arrived early, and an elevator in the building to bring them up. It was a comfortable space that suited our purpose; I would not describe it as “luxury” as it states, but it was a home base for us in Barcelona, in a very central/walkable location, which was great. Again, the host/team were super kind and likely would have assisted with the above, but we did not bring it up as we were only there a few nights.

I hate to review poorly but had a very unpleasant experience. The apartment itself is fine. Good location and clean, although inside it feels like a characterless hotel apartment. It is very loud at night. Overall fine for one night. The negative experience came from the car service arranged by the host. We paid 65 Euro for an airport transfer. A regular taxi is 40 -45 euro. The driver was so late that he asked us to find our way down to the taxi stand. Normally that's no problem, but we were in a big hurry which was why we booked the private car. We waited and watched many people catch taxis and Ubers faster than our private car. Then our car arrived and it was a regular taxi. We paid more for a much poorer service that was not clearly explained when we booked, and when I mentioned it to the host, the company said that because we accepted the ride there was nothing they would do about it. As a result, we were late for our meeting in Barcelona and left with a bad starting experience.

Our family of 7 enjoyed this great apartment in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. We had an easy time walking to Picasso museum, Barcelona Cathedral and even the Rambla. I would definitely stay again. The home was clean and we all had enough space. Home has stairs and an elevator which we used mostly. Clean and comfortable with no issues for us.

Pros: Perfect location to see all the sites. Tons of dining and shops right around you, including directly across the street. Apartment was generally as described and very comfortable. Lots of dishes (no basics like salt or oil, so you have to buy). Elevator worked great. Good for price. Rooftop outdoor space is nice. There’s some noise in the front room but if you are used to a city it is fine. Cons: check in was stressful bc no one sent directions until just before check in time and no one responded to our inquiries before then. We stayed 7 nights and they only gave us 1 towel (not very absorbant) per person. No trash bags to take our trash, nor cleaning supplies. It has a washer, but no dryer (they give you a rack for the balcony). TVs are old (one did not work).

Our hosts were extremely responsive and helped us with an early check-in. The team was fantastic about helping with some of the hot water issues we were experiencing. They were very quick to send out a maintenance team to assist. The downside of the overall apartment was that it could use some new paint and felt a little dingy. The bathroom tiles in the shower had mold on the surfaces that was fairly significant. In general, the bathroom felt dirty, likely due to the mold. I think the apartment could be a great space however, I would recommend some upgrades.

Overall this apartment was in a fantastic location. Some of the best restaurants in Old Town were within minutes away. There were a lot of gift shops and markets, and while in the center of town, it never seemed crowded. The place itself felt a little bit dated and, as expected, it was a bit noisy at night. However, we really enjoyed our stay and plan to return to Barcelona.

Central - all sights easily accessible. Communication with host was great, very friendly and helpful. The apartment looks like the photos, very large. But you can hear the noise on the street (especially at night) and the lift/stairwell is very narrow (we could not get into the lift with our ABC pram and always had to fold it up downstairs).

To begin with, I had to wait 30 minutes on the phone to confirm our reservation. Then another 30 minutes in front of the apartment for someone to come and open. The instructions we received were incorrect. We had hot water problems throughout our stay. The condition of the furniture in general leaves something to be desired (sockets torn out, chair damaged, etc.). Overall, it's still a nice apartment, but at this price, you would expect a better service.

Perfect location! Large apartment with elevator and well arranged communication during the stay. There is a washing machine which is very handy. Great beds and shower. There is some overdue minor maintenance. Unfortunately, instructions were sent incorrectly but were eventually resolved correctly. All in all, a good place!

Excellent location! Wonderful to be in the heart of the Gothic Quarter! Many good restaurants and bars in area. Public transportation available close by, including two metro stops. Apartment was very spacious. It was also very clean. Beds were wonderfully comfortable (be advised, the second bedroom has two twin beds). The apartment was very nice and we two couples enjoyed it and would recommend it, but "luxury" is in the eye of the beholder. Never quite got hotter than "warm" water in the showers. Elevator worked well. Contrary to the description that "A reception is open for guests to check in and check out," management is not on-site. However communication with management was quick--just be prepared to phone 45-minutes before arrival to ensure someone greets you with keys. They bent over backwards to accommodate our early arrival and baggage storage request-- very nice. Check-in and check-out were easy.

The word “luxury” should not be in the title. It was quite basic and the apartment has suffered a lot of wear and tear. The 2nd bedroom is very dark and dingy. Paint is chipped everywhere and the bathrooms had dirty, grey grout. It is not luxurious but rather a well-located condo in the gothic quarter, which is an older party of Barcelona, so maybe compared to other buildings in the area it is nicer? Fairly Modern and nice for two couples as the bedrooms are separated by the front entrance. But as mentioned the 2nd bedroom is really dark. Maybe with some nicer lighting and decor it could to be made to feel more “welcoming”? The balcony is really a “Juliette” - where you can open the shutters and not fall out the window… cannot really sit outside - you’re in a narrow alley way anyway so no view. Great walking location and nice there was an elevator to take our luggage up the stairs. Some taxis did not or could not go down the alley, so beware sometimes we had to walk in.

Check in was a bit worrying for me at first since you have to call on their number (direct call only) before checking in so someone can give you the keys. But the host coordinated with me and it all worked out well. Nice respectful staff and quite proactive in communication.

This Airbnb is in an incredible location in El Born / Gothic Quarter. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is within a 5-10 minute walk through the vibrant medieval paths, whether it was some of the World's Best Bars (Paradiso, Dr. Stravinsky, etc.), coffee shops, supermarkets, tasty tapas, La Rambla, the metro (whether Liceu or Jaume), or Barcelona Cathedral. It was also only a 15-20 minute walk to Barceloneta and the beach. Truly the biggest perk of the home is its location - it accurately reflects Barcelona's energy and culture. We even had our 5-year-old and 2-year-old with us, as well as my older in-laws, and they were able to walk everywhere. The place itself is good. It is clean, safe, and spacious enough for a larger family of 6, in a nicer building. I think it would be nice if it had a few more amenities though to make it homier, especially in the kitchen, such as salt, oil, seasoning (we had to buy these because we needed to cook with kids). No complaints outside of that.

Great location. Yes, the front room did get loud due to the noise from the bars downstairs. That's okay, as you want to be in a lively location. The host was very kind to store our luggage as we had a later flight. There is not a lot of sunlight coming into the apartment due to its location. For sunlight, you can head up to the rooftop terrace. Overall a good experience for the family.

Great location, great amenities, responsive host, these are our top 3 priorities and this apartment checks all 3 boxes. Short walk to the cathedral, the water front area, the el born area and the metro. Lots of restaurants and mini supermarkets within a couple of blocks, talking a walk around the neighbor was very pleasant. We are a group of 7 w kids and are very well accommodated w the kitchen and a separate living space. The street itself is across from a bar so we heard some noice at night but it didn’t bother us. There was a neighbor guess complaining about our noice at night, the host let us know, so we had to turn the TV down. Overall it was a great stay!

The location is nice - within walking distance of both the beach and El Born, and with the Gothic Quarter as the nearest neighbour. Perfect location, walkable to countless restaurants, souvenir shops, groceries, pharmacies, and easy to get to many of the main attractions. you can walk to the beach in 5 or 10 minutes. the apartment was so clean, comfortable, private. very comfortable beds, and the back two bedrooms were very quiet. The balcony was perfect for viewing the activity in the street below. There is a hearty nightlife in this neighborhood which is a big part of the charm. the front bedroom is good for the ones who stay out late, are heavy sleepers, or have earplugs. ;) BOOK THIS ROOM! You won't regret it.

The apartment fit my family’s needs and was central to the Gothic area. I decided to drop our luggage first before turning my rental car in. I was not aware of the small tight streets in the Gothic so I would not recommend trying to drive here. Even some cabs have a difficult time driving in this area. Once we were settled the location is great and plenty of restaurants to choose from. There was a nice small deck and comfortable living areas.

We had a great experience staying at this apartment in the Gothic Quarter! The location is absolutely unbeatable—just steps away from really cool bars, restaurants, shopping and major attractions. The apartment itself was spotless, stylishly decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during the warm afternoons. Check-in was smooth and communication with the host was excellent throughout. They provided helpful recommendations and made sure everything was perfect during my visit. Disappointing that they told us to drop our bags off at the office, then upon arrival informed us the office was not open on a Saturday - we took a taxi to the office then had to walk our bags to the apartment. We did appreciate them letting us in at 2 instead of 3. The apartment had minimal supplies - no detergent for washing clothing or shampoo/conditioner, etc. The upstairs deck did not match the photos. Beds were comfortable, easy check in/out once assistance arrived (5+ minutes late). Was difficult to call a taxi from the Gothic Quarter area - not the fault of the host - but something to know for those with limited mobility.

Felt a little pricy for what it is w various small issues. but plenty of space & location to shops etc were excellent!! All little things were wrong that I eventually felt not as high quality (=price) as I thought 1. Kitchen has no condiment, and no one towel or paper towels. was inconvenient. we requested but they never did. 2. Small water drip from base of facet that made counter all wet. When we notified, they insisting on us sending detail pictures in order to come out. Its not visible. they never came. Shower head also leaked & made dropping sounds all day 3. The post had roof top picture but the check in person never said 4. Picture from living room look great in post but the view is to other building thats old and messy. The pic on post is on the side of street & not front view. 5. Closet door broken wont slide 6. Guidebook said we can leave luggages to the next door store. 11am we panic to replan as they said thats old info!!! Use “bounce” to leave luggage. Highly recommend!

This is a perfect location near the marina and Gothic area. Easy to walk to sites and cool little restaurants tucked in. We stayed before a cruise and walked to the port (40 min walk). Only thing…if you are a light sleeper pick the back bedroom. The front bedroom is on the street so little loud.

It’s spacious in a great part of the city; bedroom facing the street is very noisy throughout the night. Kitchen should have food storage containers. Showers need a deeper cleaning. Attempted many times to reach provided number to get in as keys were not at business next door as expected in listing. That business is defunct. Finally reached someone and we were taken to the apartment, but when I questioned why someone else’s name was on the paper he was referring to, and after he mentioned we owed taxes for four guests (we were only 2 ppl), he realized he brought us to the wrong rental. Has to move up 2 floors. Wanted to leave luggage on day of checkout for a few hours but were told the business that allowed that was the one that had closed, but was not told that when I inquired before arrival. Not great communication overall.

Located in the Gothic quarter, it was an excellent spot. Easy to walk around. Many wine and tapas places nearby. Apartment had plenty of space. Note, as with most spots in the heart of Barcelona, this location is on a narrow yet somewhat busy street, so there is unavoidable street noise, though with windows closed, it isn't too bad at night.

Christofer is very pleasant. Too bad to charge 35 euros of supplements when we are delayed by our train with arrival at 9 p.m. instead of 8 p.m. On the other hand, no proposal for a commercial gesture on his 35 euros by the management despite the noise of the neighbors all the first night and the cafetiere which was on the 1st day. The host replaced the machine and we offered a bottle of vib it's very correct. Aging bathroom on the cusiine side. Thank you to our host.

Spacious flat in central Barcelona. Perfect size for a group of 3-4 people. There were convenience stores nearby which was helpful for drinks or snacks. The area was close to a lot of things and plenty of restaurants and cafes. There’s also a lift/elevator which is helpful with bags or for someone with a disability. The negatives we experienced were that the wifi didn’t really work, we ran out of hot water the first night, and the beds could be more comfortable. Besides that, we had a pleasant stay.

Great value for the amount of space. The place is dark. Minimal sunlight as it opens to a narrow street in the gothic. It is not luxurious. Most everything except the kitchen needs some updating or tlc. The location is convenient to many areas but the actual area is not very welcoming. We would have chosen a different place. Of course there is some noise at night in this location. Check in was a little slow and not exactly friendly. They had miscalculated the taxes and the lady that checked us in made us wait a bit to confirm this before we got in. Really need electronic check in. With codes and boxes etc. We were exhausted. For us it was functional and adequate. We wouldn’t stay again.

Overall, we had a great stay. The location is perfect and it’s lovely to be in the gothic quarter and so close to shops and restaurants. We loved that there was a fruit shop with fresh cut fruit right up the street! Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for 4 adults. We did find the air con to be lacking but there were fans supplied in every room which worked perfectly and we were able to open windows as well. If you’re looking to stay in the gothic quarter, this is a great location!

Very clean! Very convenient! Close to port. Heart of Gothic Quarter…easy walk to MANY local attractions. Markets are a short walk away for water bottles, sodas, snacks, etc. “Milk” was excellent for brunch and so was “Benedict”. “Parikete” had very good red wine sangria and superb calamari. “Black Lab” was near the harbor and had great craft beer. One of our apartments was darker and quieter than the other. The unit facing the street gets more light but also gets more road noise. Very great configuration for two couples. We will gladly return!! So nice to store luggage at the gallery adjacent before/after checking in/out!

Great apartment - centrally located, close to sites, restaurants, shops, etc. Nice living room for hanging out. 2 bedrooms - one light and airy off living room (bathroom not connected to room, but down the hall), other bedroom darker in the back, but with bathroom connected. Both rooms spacious enough. Nice, modern bathrooms. A/C wasn’t very cool, but apt had portable AC units that worked great. Washer dryer in the unit, but we had trouble operating it. Ended up not being able to use it. Host tried to get a technician in to fix, but we were leaving the next day, so did without. Check in was smooth - did so at gallery next door. Staff were friendly and helpful - got us additional towels and ordered taxi for transport to airport when we left. Overall very pleased with our stay. Would recommend!

By the way, the stay met expectations very well, but I think there were a couple of important things missing. There was a washer in the apartment, but no laundry detergent at all. It's a little frustrating to have to buy yourself a whole pack of laundry detergent from the store to do 1-2 load of laundry. It wouldn't be a very unreasonable requirement to have laundry detergent in the apartment. In addition, there should have been an electric kettle in the kitchenette.

Christopher's apartment is really comfortable staying! The place is clean, very spacious and beautiful decorated. We love the calming vibe of the living rooms and bedrooms. The walk-in shower matches as luxury vibe. One of the kitchen is not meant to be used. One thing we wished to know about tourist tax before booking for budget reason. Location is right in gothic quarter, walkable to a lot of good restaurant and closer to El Born, bus to beach is 1min around the corner. The host is very hospitable, they helped us reserve taxi to the airport too. We really enjoyed the stay, and would like to stay again if we are in the area.

This apartment is in a very good location. You can access the shopping area, the beach is not far away, and the Ramblas as well. Of course, at night is a bit noisy. But since the apartment is on the top floor you don't hear much. The apartment is also close to the metro or public transportation. The place is accessible by Taxi as well. If you take a Taxi it will drop you just in front of the apartment.

Amazing stay at this Barcelona gem. In the heart of the gothic quarters. 5-10min walk from everything we wanted to do. Abundance of restaurants and shops nearby. Good size, comfortable unit for our family of 5. Only downside was the washer + dryer combo (one machine) was small. The clothes took forever to dry. Expect no more than a small load per day. (Barcelona was the last leg of our 2 week Europe trip so we were hoping to pack light and do laundry when we got to the rental) We found a laundromat around the corner (2min walk) which cost 3.5 euros for a 15min dryer. The first floor unit is a little noisy at night from the street side room. The street does get lively which is also part of the fun. I would definitely stay here again.

This space worked really well for our group: two seniors (the elevator was essential and the high-up space helped with street noise) two teens who crashed on the comfy sofa beds, and my husband and I (who keep coming back to this same part of Barcelona because we love it). There was plenty of room for our family of 6. Beds were nice. Clean kitchen and nice showers. Location is great. Close to many of the top attractions or a short walk to a taxi stand if needed. A lot of the great shopping in Barcelona is close. Good restaurants are nearby or grab it and go places for croissants or lunch. Nice roof top (open until 6 or 7 pm). Elevator is small. So had to make a few trips to get the luggage up. But would stay there again when we go back to Barcelona. Had a great trip. Also, communication was easy and fantastic.

Spacious apartment with plenty of privacy and social space for two couples. Elevator access. Amazing location in the gothic quarter with great bakeries, restaurants and many of the sights in close walking distance. Barceloneta Beach is just a 15-20 minute walk and a great place to unwind or exercise. The host was very attentive and helpful when we couldn’t work the air conditioner. Lightening fast responses. Pro tip: If you have a driver for the airport or tours and you don’t mind walking 2-3 minutes, have them pick you up at Serra Barcelona Hotel which is on the main road just outside of the gothic quarter’s narrow road system. Made it very easy! We would definitely recommend staying here.

Duplex apartment on the 3rd floor, however noisy (from the street), not very bright and without perspective (but this is normal, since it is in a narrow street of the Gothic Quarter). Elevator present, but very small: an adult, a child and luggage to the maximum. Rather "lived" bathrooms and in any case not perfect in cleanliness. Dishwasher-free kitchen. Bath and bed sheets very, very, very cheap (and still reduced to bone: two rather small towels per person). In addition, the area is not the best because you have the impression, especially late at night/night, that some neighboring streets are not safe. I mean, a place I wouldn't be happy to come back to.

Communication was really good both in advance and during our stay. As our flight arrived early, they enabled us to store our luggage. We even were able to get into the unit right after lunch and earlier that we expected as they cleaned the unit quickly and well. While we had some issues with shower water temperature and asked the air-conditioner be turned on, help quickly arrived to help. This is an ideal local in the Gothic Quarter that is very walkable to the Barcelona Cathedral and great restaurants.

We loved staying at this apartment. Very private for two couples while also having a nice common space to share. The apartment is right in the heart of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona so was great for walking in any direction! Also, many of the major attractions and transportation were available from a short walk from the apartment. This was the perfect AirBnB for 6 people! The flat was as described, with all the appropriate amenities. Its convenient location meant that we were very close to several attractions, and never too far from local restaurants and shops. The hosts were lovely, accommodating, providing recommendations and advice on spending your holiday in the city.

The Wi-Fi was spotty throughout the apartment, we had to use hotspots instead. We asked for this to be fixed and it wasn't. We asked for no cleaning but the cleaning person came anyway and rearranged our personal belongings. Lots of street noise due to no sound insulation. Construction started at 7am (with no warning from host). The second bedroom was missing a shade on one window that shone directly on the bed, we had to use a towel as a covering in order to sleep. The shower leaked where the glass met the wall and we had to clean up a puddle after every shower. There was also a water heater in the closet next to the bed which made a high-pitched noise throughout the night. On checkout, we stored luggage at the store. We gave a time range for when we would be back and when we came, the store was closed. I called the host and received pushback and a snide remark that she was at lunch. Our stay in Barcelona was not relaxing at all and this property was the main reason.

Beautiful apartment in a great area of town. Easily walkable to many restaurants and attractions. Check in was easy. There are 4 flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but there is also a small elevator. Front bedroom has some street noise but back bedroom was more quiet. Would highly recommend!

Great place, perfect for 2 couples as it’s essentially 2 apartments joined up. Comfortable and clean and very well located. One bedroom overlooks the street which is a little bit noisy but with earplugs it was fine. Bear in mind there is a 35 EUR late check in fee if you arrive after 8pm though, but the host was very friendly and communicated well.

We had a wonderful stay at Christophers place. The apartment is in a great location and very close to the seafront, historic places, chic neigborhoods and excellent places to dine out. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable with modern interior and everything that you need. Check-in and out was very easy and friendly and with any support very close by. We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend.

A wonderful apartment, the beds are very comfortable and everything is there for you. The layout of the apartment gives each bedroom a private space in itself, great for groups travelling. The location is a stones throw away from everything, there are some lovely bars and restaurants close by, in an area that isn't too touristy.

We had a great holiday in Barcelona and in the apartment. The apartment is located almost in the centre of the Gothic quarter, surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops, hence very convenient. Although it is a bit noisy at night. It is within a walking distance from most of the attraction in the centre of Barcelona. The apartment was very clean and the description of it is accurate. On arrival we were met by a very friendly and helpful guy. We used the kitchen mainly for drinks and for that purpose it's adequate.

Basically two apartments in one!Perfect apartment for two couples since there is a living room with kitchen and a bathroom for each bedroom. In our case one of the two kitchens was not working but it was not a problem, we used the other. Only negative note, we were on the first floor so the apartment was very dark, being on a narrow street of Ciutat Vella. And one of the two rooms is located in the back of the building, so it has no outlets on the street except in an internal room (so quiet but dark, although we didn't care because we were always around). Centrally located to get around the city on foot. Absolutely recommend it for a few days of vacation in Barcelona

Perfect location (with good beds, nice shower, great kitchen) in the middle of the old Gothic Quarter, with fantastic restaurants nearby. Lovely bakery across the street so fresh breakfast every morning. Beach within walking distance and as well as a large part of the city center. We really enjoyed it. Taxi to and from the airport needed, just use the Free Now app. Works perfectly and good prices. Tip: Order tickets for tourist attractions online in advance. In summer even 1 week in advance. Busy in this city is huge. Even in January.

We were in Barcelona for two nights post-cruise. This place was perfect for what we needed: great location, many shops and restaurants within walking distance, easy access with flexible checkin/out, and enough space for 4 adults. Christopher was exceptionally responsive both before we arrived and during our stay. She provided us with recommendations for restaurants, sights to see and transportation. We greatly appreciated that she arranged transportation to the airport for our early morning departure. Highly recommend and would likely stay here again should we find ourselves in Barcelona in the future.

Responsiveness (we had a coffee maker issue, it was changed immediately) Very clean apartment, comfortable bedding, nicely decorated. Well soundproofed (we were not bothered by street noise even in the front room) Very well located between the Gothic district and El Born, a short walk to the metro. We enjoyed being able to leave our luggage at the gallery on the last day. Only small downside: we stayed in the apartment from the first floor very not very bright while the one in the photos is very sunny.

A very nice place. I can’t remember the name of the woman in the gallery downstairs (Alexandria maybe?), but she was extremely nice and showed us to our apartment. We did not have to find the location, she saw me walking outside and introduced herself based on my photo on Airbnb. All questions were answered and then some. One of our party had a medical emergency and the host responded to my questions instantly with the closest hospital. I unfortunately was at the hospital for a majority of my stay in Barcelona, but the time I spent in the apartment and adjacent neighborhood was enjoyable.

Wonderful location in the Gothic Quarter! Neighborhood was mostly quiet and peaceful for the area. The layout of the apartment was great with two separate bed room/living spaces opposite from each other. There is an elevator and you can store luggage at the shop next door during business hours if it is too early or after check in times. There are fabulous bakeries nearby for quick breakfast. The check-in process with Alex was great!

The location is really great, making it easy to get around much of Barcelona. We appreciated the nearby public transport and access to great food and bars. It’s comfortable enough and convenient for two couples traveling together while still allowing privacy (bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment). The couple staying in the front room felt that it was loud when trying to go to sleep but they are light sleepers so that might not be a problem for everyone. The couple in the back room felt that it was not nearly as welcoming as the front portion of the apartment and a bit dark. We left a window open to get some fresh air while we were out for the morning and came back to an unpleasant odor. It was gone as soon as we shut the window in the back room.

Great apartment and great location! The only downside is the washer / dryer. It is very small and does not dry the clothes. Tried a very small load of clothes and ran the dryer for 160 minutes and still didn’t dry.

I want to brag but afraid it might make it busier and harder to book next time! But, I need to brag, this place is perfect and set up to allow 2 sets of people to be separate but together. It is close to everything and so the only thing that someone might not like is some night noise but ear plugs will fix that! It is a beautiful space to see the Gothic quarter of Barcelona.

Christopher's place is fantastic. Very spacious! Perfect location, walkable to almost everything and everywhere Check-in was easy at the adjacent gallery. There's a local market nearby to get the the essentials as well as stock up on coffee pods, wine, bread, and other items you'll need. Showers had great water pressure, albeit not as hot as I typically like. Plenty of towels, toilet tissue, and shower gel. Bed linens were great, but the bed was very, very firm. The elevator was a lifesaver. USB ports would be a great addition Noise is more of an issue with the bedroom near the front of the apartment We would definitely return to Christopher's place.

Christopher's apartment is excellent. The apartment is spotless. The location is the best of all. You are close to the metro as many restaurants and tourist places. Right in front, there's a bakery that makes everything cool every morning. We were two couples and the layout of the two rooms, better said of the two apartments combined, was perfect. Alexandra greeted us very kindly and I take her time to explain things and give us recommendations. It can be a little noisy at night especially if your room looks for the street especially if your room faces the street. But it was no problem for us.

Christopher’s place gets high marks in all areas. The apartment was comfortable with a well-outfitted kitchen, great bathrooms, and showers. Christopher and especially his on-site assistant, Alexandra, were responsive, personable, and extremely helpful. We felt like we were being treated like visiting family. Alexandra personally checked us in, answered all our questions, and briefed us on the location of the best restaurants and grocery stores. The location absolutely was perfect! It was safe any time of day or night and overlooked a historical street just steps from an old Roman city gate. Just across the street was a small bakery for fresh bread, light breakfast, and coffee. There were good quality, non-touristy restaurants and tapas bars everywhere. We hope to rent the same place on our next trip to Barcelona.

The place was very well located in the Gothic part of the city. The apartment was clean, well equipped and a good size. The two bathrooms were very useful for a family of four. Only a few things were slightly irritating: we had arranged to arrive around 2pm to leave our luggage at the shop next door to the apartment. However, they were out for lunch between 2 and 3. If we’d known we wouldn’t have come by with our luggage. Secondly, it was setup for two double beds even though we had said we are a family of four and our two teenage children wouldn’t share a bed. Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to split one of the beds ourselves and we couldn’t find appropriate bedding. Lastly the apartment was very dark. This is due - in part - due to its location, being down a narrow street with lots of talk surrounding buildings.

Very nice place in the middle of the old town. We felt very much at home and enjoyed the apartment for four for a week. When checking in, however, note the opening hours of the shop. We had indicated 2-4 pm as arrival time During this time, however, the store is during lunch break and we had to wait nearby for 1 hour with our luggage. After that, everything was always impeccable and perfect. On the day of departure, our suitcases were kept for us for a few hours, so we were able to enjoy the city before going to the airport. Thank you and happy to come back!

The apartment was in a great location for walking and 6 minute walk to a metro station. Very clean and secure with locks to get into building and apartment. Management was very accessible for questions with both a 24 hour emergency number and in-person during the day at the shop next door. The layout works great for two couples and as each party has great privacy/individual space. We used the shared terrace space nightly and were usually the only ones up there. The small elevator was great especially with luggage. There is a cooktop and microwave oven so best for breakfasts and easy lunches in the apartment versus cooking a dinner. One night the street noise was a little load in the front of the apartment, but nothing that prevented us from sleeping. I would easily choose this apartment again if I came to Barcelona.

We sooo loved staying in Christopher's place!!! >Accommodations were perfect for us. (Two couples traveling together) The beds & pillows were very comfortable. I truly appreciated being provided two pillows each!! We had plenty of linens as well. The view out the balcony was perfect for someone visiting Barcelona as it looked down such a quaint tiny street. The little elevator was perfect for getting our luggage upstairs and back down, yet most of the time we just walked the easy flight of stairs. The entry into the building was very secure. We loved the rooftop terrace! Great views from there and dreamy private spot to drink a glass of wine. >Location was FABULOUS!! It's not in a touristy area, which is a huge bonus. There is a great bakery across the street with coffee, sandwiches and yummy pastries. Down the street is a tiny store with fresh fruit & basic necessities. Loved the short walks to very good local restaurants, the beach & the market. We will stay here again!

Christopher Place it's beautiful, very walkable, and surrounded by nice restaurants. The 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms are very comfortable. It had enough toilet paper, dish soap, and hand soap for the for of us. Alejandra was very helpful when we arrived, but I will have to say that their wifi is not reliable, and I ended up using my own data the whole time. We also ran out of hot water in the bathrooms, and we had to shower with cold water a couple of times. The dryer which is a combination of washer and dryer didn't dry our clothes after trying several times and we ended up hanging all our clothes four of us all over the apartment, which was very inconvenient after the second day was almost dry. I did ask for help with these issues through the Airbnb app but I didn't get a response. They asked me to call or text through a personal number, which I didn't feel comfortable doing, so I did it through the Airbnb app but with no answer.

There are many restaurants and bars nearby, and the sea is also very convenient.And the apartment had an elevator and it was very easy. The host was amazing! She was waiting for us outside the apartment when we arrived and showed us to where we would be staying. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and clean. The Gothic Quarter is walkable, it's like living in a different world. You will find restaurants, shops and so much more a short walk away. There are also a couple Metro stations which are easily walkable. We did have some trouble with the AC, it didn't work. Leaving the balcony doors open kept the apartment quite comfortable through the day, but we didn't feel safe to leave these doors open at night and so the apartment was a bit warm and stuffy overnight. Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment as a wonderful place to stay for your visit to Barcelona.

Christopher and his staff responded quickly and helpfully to each of our questions before and during our stay. Check-in and check-out went smoothly and everyone was very flexible. We found the apartment as described in the ad. Everything you needed was there. Good location, beach and center within walking distance, but also easy to call a taxi.

OMG!! Perfect location for our 3 day trip to Barcelona. The apartment was spacious with beautifully updated kitchen and bathroom facilities. Check-in was seamless with Alex. You will feel right at home at Christopher’s place. It is in the center of town. Walk to many restaurants, shops and landmarks… all just steps away. Walk to the beach in 10 minutes. The unit is updated, modern and equipped with amenities for a pleasant stay.

Excellent location and good communication with the host prior to arrival- but the AC and Wifi did not work the whole time we were there. The manager attempted to fix the AC quickly by bringing in other professionals. They were unable to fix it. The last night, the manager was able to get us a window AC unit which we appreciated allowing us to sleep. We could not sleep during our other nights there due to how warm it was. The wifi is located on the ground floor and there are repeaters at each level of the building. The manager tried to fix this problem by rebooting the router, which temporarily kicks everyone off the Wifi and increases speed as long as no one rejoins (which doesn't last long). Had I known there would be no AC or Wifi, I would have picked a different place.

Absolutely perfect location in Gothic Quarter. We walked everywhere and easy to get to metro. Loved the coffee/pastry shop across the street for breakfast. Fantastic tapas one block away at Sensei and great cocktail bar across the street as well.

The layout was perfect for my family of 4 (with 2 adult children), it was clean, and the location was great. We could walk to the beach during the day and walk to plenty of fun bars at night. The air conditioning didn’t work as well as other units we stayed in while in Europe but we were there during a heat wave so that may have had something to do with it. I tried messaging to see if there was anything we could do to help it get cooler but I never heard back. That didn’t bother us too much though and overall, we really liked the place!

The flat lived up to the listing and other reviews. It’s a in a less crowded part of the Gothic Quarter steps away from the original 2000+ year old entrance to Barcelona. Lots of great little restaurants and shops 1-5 mins walk away to explore. You have to remember this is the Gothic Quarter and it does get loud at night once people start hitting and especially leaving the bars but it felt very secure and one of the rooms is away from all the noise which was ideal for our kids. When we come back to Barcelona we will definitely stay here again.

Very good weekend in Barcelona, apartment corresponding well to the description, clean and quiet despite the very touristy situation. Small downside, the rooms are only accessible through the living rooms where the sofa beds are located and one of the bathrooms is only accessible through a bedroom but as we were 7 adults including 3 couples, it was ultimately for us the best value for money in this popular area. You can't park on the street but you can go in to drop off your things (beware of the narrow passage), the reception at the Gallery Inspired was very good and the luggage storage service was great. An ideal location to visit old Barcelona, Las Ramblas or go to the beach (less than 15 minutes walk), a little far from the Sagrada Familia or Parc Guell but taxis are not expensive and very easy to catch. We highly recommend this listing.

Christopher was very kind to my family. He let us checkin an hour earlier which was nice cos we were tired from traveling. His check in instructions were clear and he was very responsive. The location is surrounded by lots of good restaurants and it’s a nice walk to bus stations and “Rambla” We had a good time and will be returning and would recommend this appt.

The location is great within the Gothic Quarter. Food and activities were close. The location is definitely meant for walking around. I wouldn’t have a car. The two bedrooms were great and my daughters even liked the pull out couches. Bathrooms and kitchen were in good condition. We didn’t use it much for our short stay but we loved being able to come home to one place (instead of several hotel rooms) at the end of the day of sightseeing. Alex was great at checkin and the place is secure and safe.

What an amazing stay we had in Barcelona. Not only this apartment is very central, but the customer service was above and beyond!! Alexandra went out of her way to make us feel welcome and care to our needs (a family of seven!!). The apartment is remodeled and very well maintained. Even though is located In the most vibrant neighborhood in Barcelona, at night is very quiet and peaceful. The apartment is great for families with 3 children (not easy to find). Alex (and Laura) were so helpful. A bit of a walk (10 mins) from the metro stations but that leaves you in the middle of the old town, so many great restaurants and little supermarkets. Quiet with the doors and windows shut. We were family of 4. 2 apartments connected. Stayed on level 1. Maybe because we were there midweek, but there were no noise issues! Very quiet at night. Beds were amazing! Great nights rest. This was my first trip to Barcelona. I knew I wanted to stay in the Gothic Quarter. Christopher’s apartment was in a great spot. Close to the metro and in a beautiful part of the city. The apartment was clean and nicely separated for my husband and I as well as our friends who we traveled with. The biggest perk is the baggage storage in the shop next door! I was originally worried how that would work, but the shop workers are SO friendly and also work directly with Christopher. It makes for an easy, seamless transition for dropping off your luggage. I knew my belongings would be safely left behind. Christopher and the other owners (Alex) were keenly responsive, quickly answering all of our questions within minutes! They provided great advice and recommendations which kept us feeling safe and helped us enjoy our stay/trip!

We were traveling with two adult children, and the space was perfect for 4 adults. Everything was clean when we arrived. The bathrooms are spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, wi-fi works. A large variety of restaurants and attractions are walkable from this location, the bakery across the street is perfect for croissants and coffee in the morning. Be aware that this is the heart of the Gothic Quarter and Barcelona starts to come alive after 9 pm, so if you are a light sleeper you may want ear plugs or a white noise app. But we loved the vibe and would definitely stay here again!

The 2bd/2ba apartment is a blend of two 1bd/ba units with full kitchens and bathrooms each. The elevator was a plus and apparently a rarity in the gothic quarter buildings. Cleanliness, convenience, living space, and location were major advantages of the apartment. Great cafes, bars, restaurants, and sightseeing were in close proximity. Great little bakery was steps away along with a variety of restaurants. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

This listing is for multiple apartments, not just the one pictured. We were given the first floor apartment, and it was the lowest one to the street, with the most noise and least light. I wish I'd known there were more than just the higher apartment in the photos, as I would have requested floor 2-4. Other than that, it was a great place to stay, right in the middle of the beautiful barrio gotico, with great shops and sights right outside your door.

Beautifully welcomed by Alex, a very kind and friendly girl, she told us about the area where we were with advice on places/things to do. The house was beautiful, with large spaces and very clean. We had a great time. The area was central, in 15 minutes on foot you were on the Barceloneta, and also in the surroundings of the house there were numerous places where you could eat and drink. What can I say, if we go back to Barcelona we will definitely go back there! Well done!

It was a fun stay in at Christopher’s place in Barcelona. However the best part, was having Alex on premises to help with everything from check-in to dinner suggestions. The apartment was as described, a little worn, but to be expected in such a high traffic neighborhood like the gothic quarter. The place is centrally located, an easy walk to everything in the Gothic Quarter. Great little neighborhood cafes a block away and a short walk to the cathedral. Alex manages a boutique owned by Christopher on the bottom floor. She handles the checkin and safe storage of your baggage if you arrive early. She’s upbeat, friendly and a ball of energy that can be counted on for help any time you need it. She easily adds a star the the review.

Very central location with easy walking to many of Barcelonas attractions. We found the local street noisy overnight and a bit uncomfortable walking home in the dark. The front section of the apartment was light and airy as the phots but the back section of the apartment (bedroom 2) was dark, univiting & smelt unaired. The apartment was in an excellent location to explore Barcelona. In the Gothic Quarter, it was easy to walk to the beach, to numerous tourist spots such as La Rambla and Mercat la Boqueria and was surrounded with amazing restaurants in every direction - we eat at: Bar del Pla, La Vinya Del Senyor and Casa Delfin - all within a 10 minute walk and each serving great food. Taxis and the Metro are readily available to go further if you don't want to walk. On arrival we were given excellent warnings to avoid pick pockets and we did not lose any possesions. The apartment was very comfortable and the roof terrace was good to sit and relax.

This is a brilliant flat, with a brilliant host who was very responsive and helpful. The flat is very spacious in a great location. Just a few things - we struggled to get the temperature right. It was either a bit too cold or a bit too warm. The host tried to help but without complete success. The hot water ran out too quickly if we had more than 3 showers. Finally there was no dishwasher. It wasn’t advertised so I’m not complaining that something wasn’t there that we should have had, but I think a high quality flat for 6 people ought to have one. Overall though, we had a really good stay and I’d recommend it.

This is an excellent, large, well-appointed apartment in the most charming area of Barcelona. Christopher was a very responsive and informative host. Address was easy to find, and check-in easy. The space is clean, comfortable, and looks just like the photos. With 2 full living areas, there is plenty of room for families to spread out. 2 full bathrooms and a washer/dryer (that took me a while to figure out....) were a plus. The location is excellent. Very lively, with many of shops and bars/restaurants within steps. Several grocery shops (that also sell beer, wine, liquor and ICE) are within 2 walking minutes of the apartment. All of the GQ sights are no more than 5-10 minute walk. Because the streets are narrow, taxis are not always able to pick up/drop off directly in front of building. We did always get dropped off within about a block, and would just walk a few blocks to hail a (plentiful!) cab. Not a problem for us, but those with mobility issues should be aware.

Amazing host - super responsive and detail oriented. Check in was easy peasy. Location was great if you like to be in the gothic part of the city - close to restaurants and shops. The only negative was we were placed on the first floor where every room was dark and we didn’t receive any sunlight during daylight hours. Which means the photos didn’t convey if you’re on the first floor. Also when other guests entered through the main door we could hear the loud bang.

Makes for a great place providing privacy if going as two couples, or people in separate rooms. Check in and check out were both a breeze. Alex was really amazing, she was super friendly and helpful. We'll absolutely stay here again in the future.

Christopher’s is a serviced apartment located in an interesting and lively part of Barcelona with plenty of good places to eat close by. Check in was smooth and Juan helped with our bags, showed us through the apartment and gave us some restaurant suggestions. During the week of our stay Alexandra was extremely helpful and always available with good advice. The apartment itself was clean and spacious. Wifi in the apartment is patchy and shared with all the other apartments so we had some concerns with privacy.

Really remarkable spot in El Barri Gòtic. Steps away from some great food, centrally located and close to the metro. Delightful host and simple check in, always felt safe. Fun little art gallery where you check in. Apartment was clean and lovely. Perfect for two couples traveling together as the bedrooms are on opposite sides. I will absolutely stay here again if I can get back to the area. It was perfect.

Absolutely loved staying at Christophers apartment over New Years. We had access to the rooftop which allowed us to watch some of the fireworks with great views. Location was perfect, one minute walk to some great cafes and restaurants. Quiet neighbourhood but close to many sightseeing locations. Alex from the gallery next door was fantastic with assisting us with checking in and out. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Barcelona.

We book the flat as we know the area, and was exactly what we were looking for in an extended break over New Year. The place was easy to find, met the manager Alex, who was friendly, informative, and helpful. The flat was spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable, and most importantly, relatively quiet for such a densely packed place as the Gothic quarter. There are plenty of bars, restaurants nearby, as are convenience supermarkets. It was a pleasure to stay there, with the manager just a call away if there were any problems, which there weren't. I'd highly recommend this flat, and will definitely consider rebooking again should we return to Barcelona.

Good location, enough space for us as we are two families traveling together. Great neighborhood, surrounded by cute stores and cafe. Only thing need to note is taxi can’t go inside the alley. We had to push luggage for around 50 meters. The elevator in the building helps a lot since we have stroller.

Great location and a wonderful apartment. Great for 2x couples or families as it is essentially 2 adjoined apartments. Within walking distance of many great shops and restaurants. Short walk to the beach. The apartment was clean and the owners were on hand to help with any questions. Check-in was smooth. Would visit again.

Excellent location for walking to most everything you want to see. Easy to catch a cab 2 blocks away to get to anything farther. Large, comfortable space, including the bathrooms. Very comfortable beds.

We really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona! The apartment was very convenient and close to everything we needed. Our check in was amazing - Alex was the best! We tried a few of her recommendations and we were very pleased. I would definitely recommend this apartment especially if you are traveling with children or another couple as there is plenty of space for everyone.

A wonderful apartment right in the heart of the gothic quarter. The location couldn't be better; you are walking distance to top attractions, bars/restaurants/shopping right out the front door. What makes this accommodation so special is the attention provided by the hosts. On several occasions we needed their assistance and they were incredibly helpful, prompt and thorough in helping us. It's like having a personal concierge service attached to the property. So you get the best of all worlds - the privacy and ample space of your own apartment, but the specialized and personal attention of a hotel. Would highly recommend. Wonderful apartment in a great location. It is basically two apartments in one! It was only our toddler and us so we only utilized half of the living space. Everything was very clean and comfortable. A bit of street noise as one would expect in a major city but with the black out curtains and comfortable beds we all slept great!

We had a wonderful stay. The unit was very large and had everything we needed for a great stay in Barcelona. If you are looking for a clean, unique boutique feel in the heart of the Gothic neighborhood, this is a great place to stay. There is also a nice rooftop where we enjoyed drinks one night and beautiful views of the city. When we checked in, Alex was very helpful in providing recommendations for local eateries and tours. She recommended the tours through the official tourist office. We had a tour by Olga Escribano of the historic Gothic district and it was fantastic. The only negative I would point out is that the wifi was very spotty and we had to go to local cafes to get some work done. Otherwise, it was a very cool apartment that we would definitely rent again!

This place was great - we were on the 3rd floor and it had an elevator. There was plenty of room for our family and everything was very clean. The location was perfect as we walked about 10 minutes to catch the Big Red Bus for a tour of Barcelona. The area has a lot of graffiti, but we never felt unsafe. I think Barcelona embraces the art and doesn’t clean it off. One thing to note - if you’re on the 3rd floor, there are 2 heating units. The apartment was always freezing and it wasn’t until the last night that I realized one of the air conditioners was on (it’s behind the door of the other side). Also the AC vents are covered in spots - I’m not sure if that’s mold or dust but other than that, the apartment was very clean. Juan helped us check in and provided some recommendations of local things to do. He was very helpful and great to work with.

Lovely flat, perfect location with an incredible restaurant just metres from the front door and a famous jazz bar 3 mins walk around the corner. Very accommodating hosts who were quick to help with anything. The apartments could be a little loud from street noise at night but that’s just part of staying in the gothic quarter with the very narrow streets full of amazing restaurants and bars. Would 100% stay here again

The place was amazing and in a great location! Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting. Lots of great hole-in-the-wall shopping and tapas very close by. The elevator in the building made everything MUCH easier at the end of long nights and especially with a few pieces of oversized luggage.

Christopher's place was the perfect location in the Gothic Quarters and the unit itself was amazing and well appointed. Highly recommend since shops and food were at your doorstep - gorgeous views from the terrace and the host was so helpful. Very safe, secure and private area and entrance. HIGHLY recommend.
