Once an olive oil mill, the living context of "Olea" will offer you breathtaking views of the private harbor, Lake Como, and the Comacina Island. Moreover, just crossing the garden will lead you to a swim in the lake. The interiors are bright, and the wooden ceilings with exposed beams make the apartment cosy indeed. An ideal place to spend a tranquility-filled holiday that you will cherish over time.
The space
This apartment is spread over two floors and can accommodate up to 4 people. The loft on the upper floor houses the sleeping area, including a double bedroom, 2 single bedroom, and a bathroom with a shower. On the lower floor, you will find the living area, including a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table and a living room with a sofa and a television. The loft is equipped with air conditioning, allowing you to keep the spaces cool even on the lower floor.
Guest access
The apartment is located on the second floor and is accessible by stairs, as there is no lift. Additionally, there are a few steps inside the apartment to access the loft level.
You can conveniently park your car in a small square near the property. Furthermore, a private parking available for guests is located about 250 meters uphill from the apartment.

NEGATIVE: There are signs of wear that have not been repaired for a long time (e.g. dented sockets and stains on the sofa). In the pictures, everything was still new, but unfortunately that doesn't quite correspond to what you then expect. Another important thing: it says that the parking space is on the premises. I have to say quite clearly that this information is simply wrong. The car park is nearby and NOT on the property. The driveway is so narrow and steep that it was almost impossible for me to park my vehicle there. You book accommodation in the belief that you will have a parking space on the premises, but that is not the case. Many of the appliances (e.g. hairdryer) do not fit into the sockets provided. You have to blow-dry your hair downstairs in the kitchen. Normally, I don't allow comments like that. However, in my opinion, it is necessary here. POSITIVE: The garden with the view of the lake is amazing and makes up for many of the negative points.

Positive: The accommodation is as pictured, the view is fantastic, and the children enjoyed jumping into the water from the jetty. Very spacious and great for four people. Negative: I specifically booked accommodation with a parking space, but there is no parking space on the property. It's very awkward to go down the stony path with purchases or luggage. A parking space on Lake Como is absolutely recommended, so it was okay. But I think this should be made clear in the description!

The service was very good and friendly, but the apartment itself had some shortcomings and defects: broken sockets on the kitchen worktop, so we couldn't use them for kitchen appliances. The door of the freezer compartment in the fridge was also completely broken... The biggest shortcoming, in my view, was the specified parking space: it is located 300 m uphill within walking distance. Since we were travelling with a child and a lot of luggage, we had explicitly looked for accommodation with parking, so it would have been nice if the parking had also been right by the accommodation. So we had to find a temporary place to park the car on the very busy and narrow street, and first carry all the luggage down the hill and then up the two floors. That was very annoying and could have been better described.
