Lovely duplex roof top apartment in the old town of Como. The apartment is finished to a high spec with a lift available to the top of the apartment block. The 3 bedrooms, master double bedroom on the lower floor and two twin rooms on the upper floor all had decent A/C which was invaluable for sleeping in an August heatwave. The original wooden roof beams are quirky, stylish and definitely add to the charm of the place. Loved the small and peaceful balcony. There are plenty of decent restaurants in Como itself. The better ones, not on the main squares. Our two favourites were Il Mannarino (basically a butchers shop ! Not for veggies) and Brillo Osteria. The only grumble would be with the excessive queues in August in Como for ferry tickets (1-2 hours) which are not available online, no lake swimming near Como itself and the queues for the funicular (more understandable given size of carriages). The train to Lugano was easy as was the bus to Bellagio from San Giovanni station.

We enjoyed our stay in Como. The location of the house is really great – right in the centre of Como and perfect for exploring the city on foot. Communication was also straightforward and very pleasant. Overall, a good place to stay in Como, which we would gladly recommend to others.

Most of the place was very clean even we arrived. One of the upstairs beds had a lot of dirt on it, I assume dropped from the ceiling. We arrived on one of the hottest days of our trip. The main air conditioning unit was not operating and it was unbearably hot in this AirBnB. After reading the limited house guide, and after many attempts to troubleshoot, I contacted the host. They were very slow to respond. As of this review, their last response was days ago. We left the property early and reserved another. I couldn’t make our kids roast in this house any longer, waiting for an unresponsive host. Their policy is no refunds, which I understand, but this is a different situation. We’re hoping to get a reimbursement from the host before disputing the credit card transaction.

The apartment was in the heart of Como town and just a 5 minute walk to the lake but despite this it was very peaceful at night. All of the bars, restaurants and shops were within a 2-3 minute walk. The accommodation was very spacious spread over 2 floors and very clean and the beds were very comfortable after spending the whole days sightseeing. We took the ferry to Bellagio which is well worth a visit and got the train to Lugano, Switzerland which is also on a lake but is not as picturesque as Como. Although the communication with the agency managing the accommodation was friendly and good, trying to find the unmanned property to collect the key for the apartment was complicated and irritating after travelling for 12 hours. I have stayed in over 20 properties via Airbnb and this was the first time I have not had someone meet me at the property to give me the key. As the mobile signal was poor, I had difficulty accessing the instructions to enter the property which was frustrating.

This is a beautiful apartment in a great location in the center of the old city pedestrian only zone. The apartment is huge - it was a luxury to have so much space in the center of the city. The only downside is the key pick up and drop off is painful. Especially having to find parking at two locations in a very busy area. The property managers are very responsive however.

Our family of 6 loved exploring Lake Como, this stay was an Ideal Location! We really enjoyed this unique apartment for a couple of days. The lift access made it easy to get our luggage upstairs which was great. But, the 20min walk or 6min drive to pick up the key and then drop off on departure was a hassle. If you’re arriving by boat or other transportation be sure to keep this in mind. You can’t park close to the apartment & they don’t offer transfers at this point so travel light or Id recommend to pre organize a transfer if you have a bit of luggage. The beds are very comfortable, we felt the luxury right away. It’s all set up so beautifully. We would stay again and highly recommended this place.

The location is amazing, center of the old city, lots of restaurants bars and shops around. There is an elevator to the apartment. Parking is about 7-8 minute walk. The apartment is very comfortable, nice view from the top floor balcony, all needed amenities. Some things look a little worn and need maintenance

A beautiful apartment with so much room. We visited in July and the air conditioning was very appreciated!. The location was fabulous and easy walk to the lake , several piazzas and restaurants. The only small thing was we had some trouble getting into the building as the doors didn’t always open easily (maybe because of the humidity). Would definitely stay here again

Nice apartment in the heart of Como. We had plenty of space for the 4 of us (parents with 2 teenagers), and we loved being in the center of everything: nice restaurants and shops, and the funicular to get up to Brunate was an easy walk from the apartment. The only con might be that there is no elevator, and the apartment is on the 3rd floor (for Americans). But the stairs are wide and spacious, and the staircase is cool, so just take your time. Once you're settled in, it'll all be good. The apartment was clean and the beds comfortable. From what I gathered the kitchen was well equipped, but we hardly used it, so not sure. The laundry machine was a nice feature to have, and it worked well. Enjoy!

Great accommodation................we were 6 adults and with 3 bedrooms this was perfect. Clean, good service, good location. Kitchen equipment could be better. But since we were only there for one weekend, this wasn't really relevant for us either. Patrick

We really enjoyed this property, great experience with our two daughters, we loved the location, so convenient to everything. It was nice sight see all day and come back to relax in the property and even though it was in the center of the city, it was still peaceful and quiet at night. The a/c in the bedrooms is excellent, and we were able to escape the heat of the day. The team was responsive to all of our questions. The only challenge was finding parking for our large rental car, We had to stroll the luggage for about 10 blocks. Suggest renting smaller car and pack lightly, you can buy anything else you need while you are there. Would definitely come back and rent again.

Highly recommend! What a beautiful location. The team was super responsive in any issues that arose. Location is wonderful. You're right in the heart of Como. If you are getting there from the train, I would recommend taking a taxi to the key pick up spot, and having him/her wait for you to pick it up, then drive you to the airbnb. The key pick up is a 5 min walk from the train station, and then it's another 10 min walk from the key pick up. W/ luggage it can be a bit tricky.

This apartment is as advertised. Literally a 2 minute walk from all the main areas, including shopping, cafes and restaurants. Apartment itself is well furnished and functional, would definitely stay here again.

The place was right in the city centre. You can hear some noise from the street through the windows, but we didn‘t mind at all. The staircase is really wide, which was amazing considering we were travelling with a bigger stroller. No elevator, but we easily managed to carry the stroller up the stairs. Great communication with the host. We got a late check out at request, which was wonderful.

This wonderful apartment is all you can want in the city of Como. A quick walk to the lakefront, the Church and shopping. Just 10 minutes walk from the train station. Lots of room to spread out, a huge eat in kitchen and nice size bedrooms and baths. The beds are comfy, medium hard, and there is a variety of pillows to choose from. The building is 16th century but has been completely renovated. Our guests used the word charming and it fits! The support from the managers is also great. You won’t regret staying here!!

Really nice flat in the center of Como. A lot of restaurants and bars near to the apartment, two bathrooms with a separate toilet and a fully equipped kitchen. Higly recommended!

We had a great stay in this lovely apartment right in the centre of Como. The location is absolutely perfect, the place itself was chic and classical and furnished to a high standard. Communication with the host was perfect and they were friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend.
