There is an elevator in the building which can ease access for people with some mobility issues, but the apartment is not adapted for permanent wheelchair users.
The historical center of Como is mainly a pedestrian area. It is possible to arrive at Palazzo Visconti by car to drop off the luggage, but the nearest parking is available in Viale Lecco, about 400 meters from the apartment. You can park your car only within the blue stripes. Pay time is from 8 am to 8 pm. Pay at the machine and get the ticket to be put on the dashboard inside your car, or use the “EasyPark” app.
There are also paid parking garages nearby: “JASCA” in nearby Piazza Volta, “CENTRO LAGO” with an entrance in Via Recchi, "VALDUCE” in Viale Lecco, and "TRIBUNALE” in Via Auguadri.

Staying in this flat in Como was the best choice we made on our trip to various cities in Italy. The location was perfect, very close to the boat departures and ticket offices for the other villages on the lake, and a short distance from Lake Como train station. Right in the centre of the beautiful city of Como, where we were able to try the best restaurants and go on the best tours. We were extremely pleased with all the comforts of the house. The decor of the place was amazing, as was the comfort of the bed. Check-in was in person and went very smoothly.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at My Home in Como’s stunning apartment in Palazzo Visconti. It was the first time I have ever stayed in an Airbnb which is even better than the photos. When we arrived at the location, we thought we must have the wrong address. The building is old, but beautifully restored palazzo. The apartment itself was also magnificently restored and decorated. A large one bedroom with large living room/dining area and modern kitchen. The style was a merger of historic features with modern design of the highest quality. The piazza itself is in the heart of the historic area of Como, close to the duomo, yet super quiet. The windows overlooked the quiet square. Close to numerous restaurants, ferries, funicular in walking distance, etc. The staff of My Home in Como was very responsive and accommodating. It truly was a dream to stay in this apartment.
