We booked this place last minute for my birthday weekend after our original accommodation was cancelled and we're so glad we did! The hosts were incredibly quick to respond and really helpful throughout. The place itself was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. It was a bit tricky to find the barn but the hosts tried as much as possible to help with that. It was such a thoughtful touch that they had all the fans on before we arrived because of the hot weather. We had a great stay and would definitely come back. I'd happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. The only thing worth noting is that pretty much everything is about 20 minutes drive away, so it's worth picking up any essentials before you arrive.

What a beautiful place to stay! We had 11 guests there to celebrate our special birthdays. Stunning location, on a private lane with a couple of little towns nearby. The food provisions left for us were a lovely treat. Curated property - thank you! You quickly answered our queries and were super friendly!

The area was lovely and the property had plenty of space for our large group. Communication with the host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, comfort was a major issue. The dining and kitchen areas are not heated, as the underfloor heating only works in the living room. Our entire group was very cold and we had to wear coats indoors. On the flip side, the bedrooms were overly hot, and we had to sleep with doors and windows open to make them bearable. The main bedroom downstairs was freezing cold. Additionally, the downstairs en-suite only has a bath and no shower, which was inconvenient. The oven was temperamental and difficult to use, and the large barn door was very hard to open and appears to need repair. Overall, while the space and location were good, our stay was uncomfortably cold and the heating setup significantly impacted our experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the barn but the house needs quite a bit of TLC. We had a lot of problems with the heating. The house was freezing when we arrived. The Underfloor heating only worked in some of the man barn space and we were very cold at times. We we had to buy a blow heater. Also the UFH only partly work in the principle bedroom. The heating was impossible to regulate in ground floor bedroom. The Oven worked intermittently which was a real problem. Also the dryer didn't dry properly. A lot of bulbs / lamps didn't appear to work and in general the lighting the house was not straightforward. The front door had to be locked at all times when we were in the house as it regularly opened of its own accord when left unlocked. Many of the cupboard doors did not shut properly and, like the front door just opened of their own accord. The large glass doors in the main barn, opposite the dining table were in bad condition, did not shut properly and were difficult to lock.

Curated Property as hosts were very responsive and helpful The barn had wonderful views and it was in a lovely village. We were a group of 7 women who found that the ground floor and top floor bedrooms were well set-up. The 3 bedrooms on the middle floor were very lacking in spaces to store clothing and other belongings . Two of the rooms had lovely large beds but that left little space for anything else. Only having 2 showers in the house was a drawback for us. Both were in ensuite bedrooms. Overall, we had a fantastic time there but some of the bedrooms could be better equipped.

The Grand Barn is a stunning and dramatic location, it’s very large and yet the space works well with an excellent kitchen and spacious dining and sitting areas. There was a very generous selection of local artisan food on our arrival and al the bedrooms were well prepared. The biggest shortcoming was in the bathrooms which had stylish baths but only one proper shower between 10 people. The baths did have hand held showers but using these required getting into the bath/jacuzzi which older people can find difficult. Aside from that the house was very well stocked with interesting books and games as well as plenty of glasses and crockery. There were also lots of basics in the kitchen and comprehensive equipment. All in all it was a great location for our reunion and we enjoyed exploring the lovely Suffolk countryside.

The barn was perfect for our getaway: we had a group of seven adults and three children and we loved having the space to host, cook, watch films, play games - all in one great space. Bedrooms are spacious, and all linens, cookware, supplies were provided. The welcome hamper on arrival was also a lovely touch - thank you!

A group of 10, with grandparents, parents and teenagers, (and dog) we had a great stay at the barn and would highly recommend. Lovely outlook, comfortable and plenty of space for everyone with 6 bedrooms. Note 2 showers and 2 baths. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed including teabags and salt, pepper, herbs etc. Lovely welcome basket was much appreciated! Was very warm with the underfloor heating in the bedrooms, but I liked this! Lots of games to play on the big table. If being picky I would say a more thorough clean of all corners and the ceilings would be great as whilst all surfaces and beds, towels etc were clean there were some areas that could do with some attention. Beds were very comfy. We had a great meal at the nearby Peacock pub and another at the Angel hotel in Lavenham. The folder with local information was really helpful. Would highly recommend and return! We had a great stay.

We had the best time at the Old Barn. There was nothing more we could have hoped for as a family of 13, with ages ranging from 6 months to 51 years. The location was great, secluded but accessible. The property was perfect for togetherness and yet privacy. The amenities were very well thought out and the outdoor space was simply amazing! Last but by no means least, the hosts were superb with consistent communication from beginning to end. We loved it that much we want to make it an annual family tradition to stay here. Thank you for sharing your home to enable us to make special memories together.

More style than substance... This is a spectacular property, but sadly with so many frustrations - it's as if it was designed with almost no thought to some of the practicalities of a large family holiday! There are 6 bedrooms sleeping 11, plus the option of a sofabed. 3 are ensuite, and 3 share a 'family bathroom'. Annoyingly there are only 3 showers available, one of which is just a hand held shower over a small bath (the family bathroom) meaning most of the family group all neeed to share the 2 ensuite showers. Other than 1 single room, all the rooms are fixed Kings rather than 2 singles pushed together which is more typical and flexible for families. This is not ideal when staying as a family group with children, as the kids need to share king size beds. The sofa bed isn't in the living area, but is in one of the bedrooms so an extra guest would have to share a room. I've no space on this review for all the other niggles, but suffice to say sadly it's not good value for money.

This house definitely has the wow factor. It is extremely large and perfect for a family/friends getaway. It’s on the edge of a very pretty village and is peaceful and quiet. The house is very well equipped and there is loads of outdoor space for activities. Our family loved it. The WiFi worked very well and there was plenty of space to park several cars. The company that manages it was extremely responsive. We appreciated the food that was provided to welcome us. We were very lucky with the weather which was in the mid 20s but it meant the barn was extremely warm and not easy to cool down even with all the doors and windows open. The property was generally clean but there were lots of cobwebs in the rafters, the outside stone bench and table were very dirty, although the wooden furniture was clean. The bbq was rusty so we didn’t use it.

Stunning property with real ‘wow’ factor. The kitchen and living area is huge and has lots of seating/table space so fantastic for entertaining. Lovely large garden in rural setting but walking distance to the local pub. We found it very warm with the underfloor heating on (which you couldn’t adjust), particularly in 1 bedroom but the hosts responded promptly to being informed. Would certainly recommend.

Great place to gather friends and family , all the beds very comfortable and the bedrooms were nice and clean. Impressive main room which was enormous. Curated were very responsive and helped us with a few issues we had with plumbing and heating and their handyman came promptly.

Great place to spend some time outside the city. Everything was on point and the host helped us through each step of our stay. We went there for Christmas and everything was exactly as we hoped. We even had a Christmas tree up which made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for everything!

The place is lovely. The pictures do not do it justice, you have to see it in person to appreciate how beautiful the barn is. Our stay was very comfortable, the kitchen was sufficientand the rooms comfortable. The whole barn has underfloor heating which makes is ideal for winter months. Overall we had a great time.

A potential issue with the storm on arrival but this was communicated well and thankfully we made it. Area is lovely, some great little villages nearby and nice walks and pubs

The Old Barn truly is a house of dreams, stunning architecture, beautifully designed, incredibly furnished…the list goes on. Our stay was amazing from start to finish and we would absolutely love to stay again, or move in permanently! ;-)

We were six 75 year old ladies. We needed 6 bedrooms and the Old Barn fit this bill. However, one of the toilets that three of the ladies used was considered to be unsafe because it was wobbly and I called it in but was told because it was a Saturday no one could come out. Also no one had a hand towel in their room. Needed more kitchen roll and toilet paper. Also the blinds in the bedroom came down the first time anyone pulled them. Also, it would have been nice if there had been a toilet for people to use near the living area. It would have been nice to have a list of items that was provided in the kitchen so that we didn't have to duplicate everything. In saying all these negative things, we had a lovely time . The setting was glorious and everyone had a special time together. There were ample dishes and glasses and the welcome food gift was very thoughtful. We had a great time and with a few tweaks it could be superb.

Great place! The host was great at getting in touch and replying to messages. Good number of bedrooms for the number of us staying. One of the few downsides was the bathrooms. The bedroom in the basement the bathtub was in the middle of the room with minimal privacy and the room in the loft there was no door on the bathroom. Well stocked kitchen and lovely welcome basket on arrival with Prosecco. The bedrooms got very hot at night other than the bedroom in the basement, some guests struggled to sleep due to that. Overall really lovely, very clean and would definitely come back.

Beautiful home in the countryside - perfect for hosting lots of people! Great amenities including jacuzzi in one of the bedrooms which was a highlight! Location lovely - walking distance from a nice pub but still feels very remote. Checkout was too early however and the cleaning fee was very high. Would definitely stay again - thank you very much !!

A lovely, quirky place. But the stay had some issues: a fridge was broken and one toilet was constantly running, which was inconvenient and noisy. The hosts weren’t able to fix during our stay, although I appreciate they did make amends somewhat. The place is original and we had a great time overall.

Lovely barn. Spacious, private, and quiet. The barn had all the amenities we needed and was as described. Fab kitchen, although it lacked any storage space/cupboard to store your food. Garden was huge, bigger than the pictures. Beds were very comfy. One thing I would mention is that in the bedroom at the top it had a door/full sized window that just opened up on to the outside with only a small piece of wood across it. I’m very sure this would not pass healthy and safety, not at all advisable for children to stay in that room or be left unattended up there. Apart from a little TLC needed on some areas we had a very enjoyable stay. Last thing to mention, the pub at the end of the driveway was the highlight, so welcoming and the food was amazing!

Lovely barn with plenty of space for a large family and a dog. The kitchen was well equipped, and there were games, etc, and books to read. Beds were clean, fresh towels supplied, and plenty of space for all 11 of us. You will need a car to get to the Barn, but the surrounding area had lovely places to visit. The garden was very large, and there is lots of space to sit outside and for the dog to run around. Very nice. I would definitely recommend

A beautiful barn conversion in the most idyllic setting. We woke up to beautiful views from comfy beds. We arrived to a very generous welcome gift of local food and drink that was much appreciated after a long drive. The barn was perfect for a family celebration. We had a beautiful communal space both inside and out for meals but equally had space to have quiet time alone reading a book if desired. From 6 months to 70 years old, the space suited us all and allowed us to have the perfect 70th birthday celebration. Thank you Curated!

The Old Barn is a wonderful property. We stayed there as a group of 6 and it was a lovely base for a weekend getaway. The kitchen is well equipped and we were greeted by an amazing welcome pack of goodies. There is plenty of parking space and the local pub is a 5 minute walk away. Chelsworth is a beautiful village and the nearby town of Lavenham is also worth visiting. Highly recommend a visit to the Old Barn.

A stunning property in a beautiful part of Suffolk. Lots of space for three families and the garden was perfect for football and cricket matches. My only criticism was the lack of a shower in the huge downstairs bedroom suite. Not a massive problem, but would’ve been better for the guests that had that room. The local pub is within walking distance and there are lots of easy trails to explore from the house.
