Nice little lodge that served us well post-wedding (given we wanted to sleep largely!). However, for full disclosure, if you are looking for somewhere 'secluded' in nature I wouldn't recommend this lodge. From the description we had assumed this was on a larger estate and therefore not overlooked, but when driving up realised the lodge is right next to the main house, and surrounded by private gardens you can't use. The photos and description are a little misleading about this. In fairness, we should have messaged before booking but with the wedding planning we weren't as diligent as usual. Michelle is aware of this feedback and is looking into rectifying it. If being in a secluded / private area isn't a top priority, then this is a lovely place to stay for a couple days, but the photos and description need to be more transparent for future guests.

Peaceful location with a nice sense of privacy, but the overall cleanliness didn’t quite meet expectations — especially considering the high cleaning fee. A few small touches were missing, like the advertised tea and milk, and some furnishings were a bit worn. Lovely setting, but felt the value for money was slightly lacking. That said, I would stay here again if a few changes were made.

The place its self was absolutely lovely and in a lovely garden however your not allowed to explore the grounds. Although they do list no WiFi also the signal isn’t reliable so if you need to be reachable it’s not great. Unfortunately it wasn’t the cleanest especially with £40 cleaning fee, you’d expect it to be pretty spotless, the toilet had stains under and round the seat, hair left in the plug hole and kitchen dusty and air fryer left dirty from previous people and some food left in the fridge. But we did still enjoy our stay is it a nice quiet pretty area.
