We had a lovely stay here, the location is very central and easy walking to most places. Very clean and quiet at night. Apartment is a little basic and could do with an iron/ironing board, but that is all.

The apartment was well presented and matched description. We found the check-in instructions slightly unclear and struggled to find correct access door. The issue that would stop me staying here again is the proximity to Martim Moniz underground station. It was full of anti-social behaviour at night time, lots of homeless people and trouble. There was an alternative route to the apartment that was much safer and has nice restaurants but this wasn’t always convenient.

The apartment is spacious and as described on the site. The lower rating is due to the unpleasant smell in the bathroom which smelled strongly of damp and drains, it was quite unpleasant and sadly owner was unable to resolve due to being an old building. The location is very convenient from the main square, a 10 min ish walk to main restaurants and sights. Quite a lot of homeless people hanging around the stairs to the house which made me feel a little unsafe returning to the flat after dinner. It is a nice apartment, and I would recommend if bathroom smell fixed 😞

A lovely spacious apartment in the heart of Alfama neighbourhood. Clean and tidy. We were a family of 5 staying there. Within a short walk to Rossio square and station. A supermarket 5 minutes away. Very easy to get around. Filipa and her team were very responsive and provided a lot of valuable information ahead of our trip. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to our friends and family.

We cannot recommend the apartment enough - firstly the apartment itself was great with plenty of room and lovely balconies to enjoy the view from. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was fantastic - we could walk to the main sites easily and it was great to stay in the Moreish quarter. There are plenty of lovely bars and restaurants with a great atmosphere minutes from the apartment!

Apartment was a reasonable size with great views as posting suggests. Very steep climb but street escalator was working most of the time which was great. Had a minor issue with the toilet which host is resolving and as noted by other reviews the drainage smells can be quite strong particularly in the morning. Lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby and very lively at night. Area probably not ideal if any mobility issues or looking for a quieter break but overall we enjoyed our stay.

My family of five had a great time at this place in Mouraria, which we booked at short notice. The bedrooms were clean and spacious, and the living areas very pleasant. The little balconies with views over the castle and the city were a real bonus. I was initially worried about not having air conditioning, but with fans and shutters it was no problem, even in August. We loved the area we were in. It’s elevated, with beautiful views and lots of lovely restaurants in close proximity. It’s extremely well connected: easy to walk to most of the rest of the city, and with great transport links. There’s even an outdoor escalator to transport tired walkers up to the castle, which stops right outside the apartment! The host, Filipa, was really proactive and helpful. We loved the clever keyless entry from an app. (Do make sure that you read the instructions carefully as entry from the street is via a smart phone in the first instance.) All in all, we had an excellent time.

Had a wonderful stay! Filipa is a great host... extremely responsive, friendly, and happy to give you all the tips you want! The location is fantastic and central. Note that it is up a hill, so if the escalator isn't operating, it's a climb, but well worth it for the beautiful, spacious apartment with its spectacular views. I would gladly stay here again!

A great AirBnB. 6 of us stayed here and it was perfect. Looks exactly like the pictures and even better. The views from the balconies are stunning. The area is amazing it’s on the top of a hill and there is a escalator beside it to bring you back up from the square. It’s location is perfect for all the areas as they are all walkable. The lock on the door makes you feel so safe and secure when inside. There are 2 showers which is great for a big group. We were there during the festivities and the street party was right outside our door. Could not recommend this place enough!

Fully renovated apartment in an old building in the Mouraria district, easy to access via the Escalator, ideally located under the castle Sao Jorge, typical and lively alleys but without noise disturbances and more quiet compared to other very touristy neighborhoods, many restaurants with local cuisine and Fado, superb view of the city. The apartment is perfect, quiet, large, bright, high ceilings, three beautiful bedrooms (one double bed), large living/dining room, well-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms. The only downside, which is not the host's responsibility, is the rise of foul odors from the sewage drain pipes in the bathrooms and kitchen.

We had a great time. The apartment is in a convenient location near the central part of the city. One of the important things is that there's an escalator that goes right to the entrance, and one can save yourself a stair up if they're tired. It was easy to get into the apartment. What was a bit uncomfortable for us was that there was only one bathroom with a toilet and a pretty strong smell from the drains. The bed in the bedroom felt small for two people. We had a good time overall . Thanks to Philippa!

The apartment had lovely views . There were small balconies off the living room (with chairs and a table), the kitchen, and two of the bedrooms. The bedrooms were large and bright, as was the living room. The apartment was clutter free, but well stocked. The location was brilliant- above the Martim Moniz square - from there you take the outside escalators up the hill to Mouraria where the apartment is. So atmospheric, with excellent restaurants, bars, music and fun. Plenty of hot water, two showers- good equipment. We would stay again!

We were a party of 6 adults and a baby who rented this apartment. We were happy! On the plus side: very nice location in nice neighborhoods (despite a lot of tourists they are very charming), proximity to very many restaurants, works fine for large groups. On the downside: persistent sewage smell from toilet, bathroom & kitchen, although the view is nice, the standard is a bit simple in relation to the price.

Our visit to Filipa's apartment was fantastic. We had a wonderful stay and everything was exactly as it said it would be on the listing. The check in was a dream and so useful to be able to digitally enter the buildings without keys so everyone in our group had independence if they wished to return early from sightseeing. Lisbon is a wonderful city filled with amazing restaurants and very easy to wander around sightseeing. Filipa was on hand if needed but because it was all perfect we did not have to contact. All in all a perfect apartment, location and city. Would love to return again in the future.

Fantastic apartment!!! Five of us stayed very comfortably and the entire place was clean, great location, and had everything we needed. Filipa sent a link to their app which had tons of useful information. We had difficulty getting into the building the day we arrived but we called and Filipa answered right away and buzzed us in remotely. We didn’t realize there is an escalator up from the square below the apartment so we rolled our suitcases up the charming streets when we arrived - note to future travelers there is an easier way 😊. Loved this place and this neighborhood…highly highly recommend! Thank you Filipa and Gil

Near escalator to Tram 28. Down the street left if escalator great empanadas and restaurants. Right of front door several markets to buy groceries. Suggest bringing shampoo and body wash as none is provided. Around the corner 10 minute walk to Sao Jorge Castle. Many other sites nearby. 10-15 minute walk to river area. Centrally located.

Great flat for up to 6 people , beautifully situated in old part of Lisbon . Great bars and restaurants around . Can be a bit noisy at night but if you had a good walk through all the lovely streets and climbed all the hills , you fall asleep anyway .

The apartment is very well organized, bedrooms are spasious enough the the living/dining room with a real table for 6 is very comfortable. The property is well equiped, furnished and decorated to make you feel at home. The checkin and access system is great and Filipa is very proactive and she provided a lot of information. The location is central enough to walk the whole city, wihtout being in the most noisy or touristy part of town, which is great. It is very easy to find a well connected. The builind was very quiet and we could have a good rest at night after navigating through Lisbon the whole day! In short, we highly recommend it!

The apartment is in an excellent location. The stairs and outdoor escalator just outside the building make it easy to get to and from the historic centers of the city on foot. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and charming, with plenty of food options and shops. The apartment itself is nothing fancy, and it had a distinct musty smell that was not our favorite, but the little balcony was lovely, and the bedrooms had wonderful large windows that offered plenty of natural light. The hosts were very communicative and accessible. All in all, it felt pretty basic considering how much money we spent, but I suppose we mostly paid for the location, which was pretty great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Filipa’s apartment. There were five of us and the place felt super spacious and the location was fantastic. Despite the flat being so central, it was peaceful and quiet during the night. We loved the neighbourhood which was full of life and colour. Our favourite bar was just down the road and made the most incredible empanadas and bifanas and one of the “secret” Chinese restaurants is just across the road (the food was amazing!). The check-in was very uncomplicated and you could use your phone to unlock the doors, which was very handy. The views are superb and the flat is well-equipped - there was even ice in the freezer and shower gel in the bathrooms. The only negative would be the sewage smell in the flat but that might be more of a Lisbon problem rather than a problem with the flat. Overall, we would definitely recommend Filipa’s apartment. It’s a great base for exploring Lisbon.

Positive points: the view, the location, the 3 bedrooms and the 2 baths, the equipped kitchen The downsides: there is a smell issue in the apartment. In the bathroom and in the kitchen, there is a constant smell of sewage… the Airwick diffusers installed by the owner do not manage to mask it.

If you want to get to know the heart of Lisbon on foot, this is the place for you; at the same time, you will enjoy the comfort of a spacious apartment for 5-6 people and sleep wonderfully. The apartment is great located, to be able to walk to all the places; for dinner, wonderful restaurants 5 min away; next to Alfama, the castle, the metro, Rossio square, in short, everything. And the beds were great, we slept very well. I would definitely recommend the apartment.

The apartment is in a great location, near alot of attractions; the start of the 28 tram route and the Castillo specifically. Housed on a quite enough street so you won't get disturbed by evening traffic. Apartment is well serviced, has plenty of space for group/family meals and has good views from the balcony.

We loved staying in Filipa’s apartment. It was very clean and comfortable with beautiful views over the rooftops of the city. Rooms have lovely balconies. It’s also very well located - easy to walk to different neighborhoods. We are a family if 5 and it was the perfect size for us. Note that it is on the 2nd floor of a walk up building so there are stairs to climb to get to the apartment. It was not an issue for us. Highly recommend!

The terrace is a little small but in accordance with the photos presented. We had some night disturbances on the street down from the apartment but Lisbon is a party town 😜

We really enjoyed Filipa’s place: it was well located near the castle, the water front and other touristic attraction. We have kids so we couldn’t go out very late in the evening so we really enjoyed spending our night sipping a glass of wine on the little balcony with the amazing view. Centrally located apartment in one of the old buildings just below the castle. 5 walking minutes to subway, tram and bus. We found the place very comfortable, especially the beds were excellent. Very well equipped with everything you need to cater for yourself. The communication with Filipa and the check-in worked seamless, although the online forms ask for a lot of personal details for every guest, which we found a bit over-the-top. Overall a very recommendable place to stay.

We stayed for 6 weeks and enjoyed our time, and would definitely recommend for a long or short stay. Pros: - The best thing about this flat is the location. We absolutely loved the area, the beautiful street and the restaurants nearby. Easy walking to all the sights of Lisbon. - The wifi was great and fast for working remotely. There's no dedicated workspace but the dining room table was comfortable to work at. - Spacious and bright flat with lots of light. Beautiful view and lovely balconies. Really nice big doors that open up onto the balconies from each bedroom and the kitchen and living room. - Cleaning was provided once every week which was great and very thorough. Very clean flat. - Bathroom was nice and shower was great. Great reliable hot water. - Lots of storage space in bathroom, bedrooms and living room. Cons: - Soundproofing is a problem in all old buildings, so this isn't something the host can improve but we could clearly hear the neighbours upstairs having conversations and playing loud music. - The bathroom has a persistent smell - but, again, this is because it's an old building and isn't the host's fault. We bought an air freshener that seemed to help. - The double bed mattress needs replacing, as it squeaked incredibly loudly when just rolling over at night and made it hard to sleep. But we got used to it after a while. - The listing says a hairdryer and shampoo are provided but they were not. Kitchen was moderately well equipped, missing things like a grater, tongs etc. but good enough to cook a meal.

The apartment is a real gem in the city! The location of the flat is optimal, the area is beautiful and super central. The apartment is spacious, full of light and super clean. We have been impressed by all the amenities available in the apartment and how easy it was to communicate with Filipa. We came as two couples and a 1-year-old baby. Gil and Filipa had even provided linen and a bed for our son, at no extra cost. The apartment is much bigger in real life than in the photos. There is all the necessary equipment to have a good stay, even fans in each room. The bedding is excellent and the linen is of good quality. The view is pleasant, from one side of the accommodation to the other. Nothing to complain about, we recommend this accommodation.

We had a wonderful stay in Lisbon. The appartment is perfectly located close to everything. The kitchen is very nice and modern, but is only equipped with basic kitchenware and is poorly suited to cook all meals every day. There is no dishwasher and only a small ice cube freezer. Because of the central location dining out was not a problem, noor very expensive. A 3-bedroom appartment would have been more complete with an extra WC.

I just stayed at this apartment for two nights. What great communication I had with Filipa from the beginning to end. She coordinated our transfer from the airport and to the train station and it made our trip so much easier. The apartment is very spacious and in a terrific area. The beds were comfortable and the couches were great too. Amazing breezes all throughout the apartment. I hope to be back!
