We had a wonderful stay at Amanda's cottage. The location is brilliant and it had everything we needed. We were lucky with the weather so the outside space was perfect for relaxing in the sun while our toddler slept. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay and thoroughly recommend it. Everything was very easy and enjoyable. The house was great, very well appointed and worked brilliantly for our 3 year old. And Bourton-on-the-Water is stunning, so we felt very lucky to be staying there. The one thing to note is there is a stair gate but it’s only at the bottom, we’d have preferred one at the top given the landing area is quite narrow and, with a child, at night, we felt it a little risky. But it didn’t take away from our holiday at all.

This cottage is an absolute gem. Location is fabulous but the cottage itself really was lovely. It had a cosy home feel to it as soon as you walked in. It was furnished beautifully, very clean and extremely comfortable. Despite being a small cottage it didn’t feel small and the way that it has been laid out left plenty of room to still relax comfortably, We had our 2 small dogs with us and even with their large baskets on the floor in the living area it still didn’t feel cramped. I loved having the second room upstairs to get ready in. It is a perfect place for a couple. The attention to detail was superb and they really had thought of everything. Right down to a dog bath outside and dog treats/poo bags. There was nothing that we could fault. Having the car charger was really convenient too. Amanda was really responsive and helpful, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here xx

Host: Amanda was communicative and friendly. Very easy to follow instructions and checked in on us to ensure we were okay. Knew we were travelling with a child so games and the bubble bath were a real highlight! Cottage: Exactly as described in the photographs. Super clean, all basic amenities provided. I cannot put into words how beautiful the cottage is and how welcoming Amanda and was. It’s a stones throw away from the centre of the village so it’s near to the shops so it’s super convenient. As per the description, an absolutely stunning cottage in a perfect location only a short walk away from all the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Spotlessly clean with all the amenities that are required in the most comfortable of surroundings. Crystal clear instructions for arrival and access to the property which also included a hard copy of all that you needed to know about the property facilities and local amenities. Amanda was at the property when we arrived and couldn’t have been more helpful and it was a pleasure to meet her in person. We used this property for the Cheltenham Racing Festival and would not hesitate to use again for future Festivals and/or other visits to the Cotswolds area. Exceptional 10/10.

The cottage is very modern with all modern appliances in the kitchen and bathroom. Easy parking right outside the back gate makes it very accessible and extremely convenient as the cottage is very near the centre of Bourton-On-The-Water. We loved everything about our stay! Burton on the Water is a lovely village, which is a very short walk from the cottage. It also provides a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Amanda shared all instructions well ahead of time and it was very clear, with pictures included! It was an easy self check in. The cottage is lovely - with everything you need! The heating throughout is great and the fireplace an added cosy bonus. All the amenities are high quality and everything works! It has been well designed to ensure you can have a relaxing holiday. We had our baby girl with, and it worked really well. The recommendations given were also a lovely added touch and made it easy to navigate and decide where to go. We had a really enjoyable two-night stay at this lovely cottage. The location is perfect – just a short and easy walk into Bourton-on-the-Water, which made exploring the town so convenient. The cottage was pristine and it was clear that everything had been thoughtfully considered to make the stay comfortable. Although the property is on the main road, the main bedroom is at the back and we didn’t hear any noise at night. The rear access felt very safe and easy to use and we avoided leaving out the front with our little dog. The space itself is cosy and welcoming, with the fire being a beautiful touch, especially in the evenings. The bathroom was also lovely and finished to a high standard. Overall, a really comfortable and relaxing stay. We’d happily return and would recommend it.

Beautiful cottage! I had a two night stay here and absolutely loved it. The cottage is so cosy and beautifully done inside, you really feel at home! Everything is so well thought out if you’re bringing your furry friends with you. The cottage is walking distance to all the shops & restaurants which is perfect. Parking is also a bonus with the property! The whole booking process with Amanda was great. She’s warm and welcoming and gives you all the information you need! Lovely house with everything you need. We chose this based on photos of lovely decor and it has been done very nice indeed. Nice paved private garden and parking. We used EV charged easily with app and instructions in pack. The pretty historic village location is great, plenty of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants a few steps away. Does get busy. Something for everyone. It Is on a main road so you do get traffic noise. Heating downstairs could be better, fire is a need in colder months! All in all we were happy, family of 3 with dog.

Had a great stay at the Hideaway Cottage. Would definitely stay here again and could easily spend longer there. Had been let down elsewhere so made this booking only two days previously, but the standard and attention to detail was still very high quality. Check-in details and where to park were clearly communicated and appreciated. House itself was really nice, good welcome pack for our dog. Enclosed yard was good. Had everything we needed for our stay. The town itself was very picturesque and easily walkable from the cottage. Thank you

Had a few minor snags that weren't Amanda's fault which she was extremely quick to sort out (nothing wrong with the property). She was always friendly in communication and didn't make us feel like we were being bothersome asking questions. Amazing little house right on the edge of the town centre. Good location for exploring the Cotswolds. Easy off-road parking. Walked to the interesting Motoring Museum and had a superb soup at the nearby Willows. Close to the Slaughters and Stow-on-the Wold (many shops, Duran’s door, stocks, Cotswold Chocolates). Our best meal was at The Hare—consider the specials. Afternoon tea at the elegant and peaceful Ettington hotel. The Hook Norton brewery has a cheery restaurant a nice shop. Highly recommend the 3-part Rollright Stones and the legend of the King, the Kings men (arranged like a mini-Stonehenge), and the Whispering Knights. Parts are as old as 6,000 years.

What an amazing find, we loved this cottage. When we first arrived we felt it was a little tucked away and the neighbours were close being a terraced house however it was so peaceful, particularly as the joining walls were staggered. This small 1 and 1/2 bed cottage is ideal for couples or couples with a child maybe as the 1/2 bedroom is a sofa bed but they still get their own compact room. The main bedroom has a super kings size bed which gave a wonderful night sleep. Downstairs is a spacious open plan kitchen living room with access to a private patio terrace. Location is A1 for such a destination village. Private parking to the rear of the property means you can leave your car and enjoy the 5 mins walk to the centre of the village. We loved this place and would definitely recommend and return. 2 things we would have liked was a coffee machine and faster wifi. The 10mb speed is a bit slow these days and okay it did drop out. Don’t let this stop you booking though it’s a gem!

We had a lovely stay here! The property has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished and to a high standard. It’s like your right at home here. It’s within easy walking distance of the main high street and a great local park for kids. We visited the safari park, 25 mins drive away and would really recommend that for anyone with children. I would stay here again and highly recommend this property!

What a perfect few days in beautiful Bourton on the Water. Close by all that the village had to offer but in such a peaceful spot! Couldn’t have asked for more. The cottage is luxurious and a lot of thought has clearly gone in to the decor and amenities. We had everything we needed. The outside space was private and calm. Undeniably, the Cotswolds and Bourton-on-the-Water is beautiful. This cottage is in a great location to grab dinner at the Mouse Trap and stroll the shops and over the bridges that make the area the local “Venice.” The cottage definitely caters to dog owners, more so than simply being “dog friendly,” but our stay was lovely for a jump off spot to explore gems near and far like Blenheim Palace and Daylesford Farm!

The village is beautiful but the cottage is not really in a lovely part of town and the photos of the greenery you see in the listing - you need to walk a bit to get to. The Mousetrap Inn had amazing food. Best part about the location was how close it was to that restaurant.

Lovely place, super nicely done up. Just didn’t love the location. Absolutely loved that place had outdoor space, but due to the location didn’t feel as private with the car park just there. However, if you’re in Bourton maybe just for a night or two and need a super central base to explore the town and sights, this place is perfect.

Fantastic stay at hideaway cottage in the beautiful Cotswalds. Amanda was a great host and extremely responsive to every question asked and ensured the house was setup to accommodate my wife and I, as well as our 3 year old and 3 month old daughters. The cottage was wonderfully located from the centre of town with a 2-3 minute walk along the main road or a 6-7 min walk through the beautifully scenic waterway through the back of the house. I would absolutely recommend Amanda and Hideaway Cottage and can’t wait to return at a later date.

This was mine and my husband’s first holiday with our 10 month old, and the cottage couldn’t have been more perfect! The cottage itself is beautiful, very clean, and had everything you could need for a few nights stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks were a lovely touch, and the bedding was the softest I’ve ever slept in. Amanda was fantastic at communicating and answering any questions we had, and kindly provided a travel cot and high chair for our stay. We also found a high chair abacus, a book and rubber bibs in the cupboards, so the cottage is very accomodating for little ones :) The location was also amazing - only a 5 minute walk into the main village, but far enough away that you’re in a quiet spot. So if you’re thinking of staying in Bourton-on-the-Water, I would definitely recommend Amanda’s cottage.

The accommodation was lovely and was perfect for my dog (the dog bath came in handy). It was very comfortable and we had a thoroughly relaxing stay. Would highly recommend to dog owners as everything is catered for them, which is a rarity I find. We tried to do some of the beautiful walks Amanda recommended but sadly due to the rain, it was just too muddy. The area is stunning and when it wasn’t raining it was a joy to walk around. I found the car parking also very convenient, which is helpful as Bourton can get very busy.

Some places are listed as luxurious and then fall short in reality. Not in this case! Amanda's cottage is a little gem, cosy and comfortable, with beautiful decor and brimming with little extras like bath salts, welcome goodies, and everything to make your pet comfortable if you're bringing one. Amanda is a great host, with clear, friendly and proactive communication. The cottage is conveniently located a short walk from the main street, with access to lots of eateries and local attractions. Amanda’s hideaway cottage is the perfect venue for a couples retreat. We brought our 4 month old twins for their first holiday & we had a great time. This cottage was absolutely perfect! Its location is great, with the village itself being a mere 2 minute walk away from the cottage. Other villages close by are a 15-20 minute drive away which means there is lots to do close by! The cottage itself was pristine and clean, the bed linen was so soft and all amenities were provided! Little things like fresh cleaning cloths and sponges and eco-friendly dish soap and shower gel/shampoo etc really showcase going the extra mile! The cottage is tucked away, but the clear instructions Amanda provided were great, no issues whatsoever! Designated parking was easy to find, and well demarcated. Honestly couldn’t fault a single thing about the stay, we will most definitely be back! X

Location, location!! I stayed at Amanda’s for a short stay at Bourton On the Water and it was centrally located to many attractions. It was walking distance to downtown, the Motoring Museum, and a short scenic drive to Sudeley Castle. The apartment was tidy, nicely furnished, and stocked with necessary kitchenware to eat, cook etc. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!

The property is wonderful - beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, with lots of little touches from Amanda that really made our stay. A truly relaxing experience from start to finish. Having dedicated parking and an EV charger was a massive plus, and having so many amenities and great restaurants and pubs within walking distance made for a wonderful weekend. Everything was easy to use, the location was brilliant - literally a 2 minute walk from the village shops/pubs/restaurants. We received great instructions and had no trouble finding the place. Having the car parking space was very handy. Nice little touches such as locally sourced soap, complimentary shampoo/conditioner/body wash. There was also a welcome pack with nibbles/tea/drinks etc and even some welcome treats for our dog too which was so sweet and muchly appreciated! A high quality refurb and a beautifully decorated cottage with off street parking, in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds - perfect for our 3 night stay. Sofas a tad firm for extended periods (maybe that just says I spent too much time lounging around enjoying the cottage!), but the log burner was a treat in the evenings. The only slight negative was being on a fairly busy road with constant car traffic, and a lot of people walking past and looking in if you left the shutters open. All in all, a lovely place to stay and would highly recommend Amanda’s place.

I think the description misrepresented the accommodation Bedroom 1 was a small double and bedroom 2 was a sofa bed My self and my eldest son are both 6 feet plus and the second bedroom was way less than the minimum expected no mention of sofa bed! Incredibly comfortable sofas, beautifully fresh bed linen and towels and generally a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. We absolutely loved our short mid week break here. The cottage is in a perfect location, within a few minutes walk of an abundance of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and beautiful walks. Met all of our requirements and more! Amanda is a super responsive host and the descriptions of the property are all 100% accurate. I would just say that the photos don’t actually do it full justice as it’s even better than they represent. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. I have stayed at many Airbnb's and Amanda's place rates as one of the best! It is stylish, fresh, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome and at home. It even smelled great! We did not have our pups with us on this trip but Amanda had a cute, welcoming set up if you are traveling with your furry friends. Parking was easy! And there was even a private patio in the back. Best of all, the location is perfect. The cottage is just a short walk away from the adorable downtown, full of an amazing choice of coffee shops, bars, restaurants and any other amenities you might need. Amanda's cottage is arguably in one of the best villages in the Cotswolds. If this cottage is free, jump at the chance to book it. It was so wonderful, we were sad to leave!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Amanda's cottage was perfect for the two of us and we felt right at home - Clean and charming. Amanda provided us with an extensive list of local recommendations and it was very helpful. Everything in Bourton on the Water was walking distance -within a 5 min walk. We enjoyed sitting in the private patio in back, sipping wine and snacking on local cheeses we purchased from a town nearby. Although the front of the home is just off a road, the traffic was mostly light so not a lot of noise and foot traffic didn't bother us either. We still felt like we had privacy. We will definitely be back and would recommend this place to anyone.

We loved our stay at Amanda’s cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water. It was exactly as pictured, but even better because everything was so modern and clean and beautifully appointed. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed. The bathroom was great as well with nice new shower and large soaking tub. We didn’t have a dog but wish we had when we saw how thoughtfully they prepared the place for furry friends. Dog bed, treats and a dog wash on the back patio. Loved the extra outdoor area for relaxing and the upstairs dressing room! We will recommend this to friends as it was also in the perfect central location to see the Cotswolds and Bath and Oxford.

Pros: Great location - next to the main village high street. Easy to find the cottage (Amanda provides clear instructions). Nicely renovated. Felt right at home straight away. Quick responses to queries. Cons: second bedroom/study is very small - so small, the door only half-closes as the sofa bed is in the way, which means you don't have much privacy. Also, the cottage could have been cleaned better - we found animal hairs and the bathroom wasn't as clean as one would expect.

We had a lovely weekend at Amanda's cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water. It's tucked away from the main road, creating a quiet, private space. The cottage itself is adorable and has so many nice touches that make it a home away from home. Very friendly for our 14 year old dog, who loved his stay more than us! It has easy parking, which is great for most people who will need a car to village hop. There are some charming places nearby in Bourton-on-the-Water (all walkable), and lovely restaurants and shopping in nearby towns (10-20 minute drive - or longer depending on how far you want to explore). Highly recommended for a couple looking to get away for a few days.

We loved our time here. The property was done really well - very smart and clean, but also super cosy. It felt like home straight away. The instructions on how to find the property were really helpful, and getting in was really easy. We also appreciated the recommendations on local places to eat and things to do. An absolutely stunning cottage in a beautiful location. One of the best Air BnB’s we’ve stayed at and felt like a home, we didn’t want to leave. The cottage is immaculate and beautifully decorated. It’s a shame it wasn’t warmer so we could use the outdoor patio space. Amanda is a brilliant host and very quick to respond, she was also great to assist with questions about the space for our 1 year old twins. We can’t wait to return for another visit.

Beautiful cottage, spotless and super cozy. The location is perfect and everything went smoothly. Amanda was very responsive every time we needed to. Nice little thoughts with local products left in the kitchen, and plenty of logs and everything you need for the little wood burner. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay, Amanda was very communicative and gave lots of instructions as to how to find the property. It was great to find somewhere that also accepted dogs. The local walks are beautiful and there are lots of local spots for food, the mousetrap inn was our favourite!! The property itself is modern, very clean and had everything we needed - thank you!

What can I say. I am an Airbnb host myself both owning and managing properties so can be Quite particular when it comes to Airbnb stays… but Amanda’s place was truly perfect. The location is second to none. The decor was perfection.. I’ve been meaning to ask what the bedroom paint is and where the kitchen hardware is from?! Welcome/ info pack were perfect. Logs for the fire, a dog bed and blankets to make sure the dogs were comfortable and the place was kept clean for housekeepers and future guests. Nice quality bedding. We will be using this as our go to when we are visiting the Cotswolds going forward. No complaints at all. We had a lovely dinner at the mousetrap which you could pretty much fall into from the cottage. Recommended by Amanda and also a burger night at smiths five minute walk away.

This stunning cottage was my home away from home!! It is my style of decor and design dream. I dream of living in a cottage like this, and this cottage brought my dream alive for a few days. I feel sad to have left. There was so much attention to detail. Thank you, thank you! From very happy Aussie travellers with a toddler. :)

A beautiful little cottage with everything you'll need for a comfy stay. The location is great and Amanda's pre arrival notes are very helpful. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and several fun activities in town for children; the maze, model village and birdland were all a big hit. I'm sure we'll be back!

Fabulous 2 bedroomed cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water with parking space. Short walk from the centre with its shops, cafes, pubs & little bridges across the river. Welcome tray provided & there is everything you need to make your stay very special indeed. Quality furnishings, bedding & towels - feel lucky to have managed to book this little gem. Host Angela answered any queries quickly & passed on lots of helpful tips & local info. Definitely 5 star!

Stayed in Amanda’s place for 2 nights with my husband and 2 year old. Fantastic location by the centre of Bourton, and very clean and comfortable. Amanda was very helpful; providing us with lots of information and advise beforehand. We really appreciated the goodies that were left for us upon check in. We would absolutely love to stay again in the future.

Cute and thoughtful cottage. Clean and comfy. Great communication from the host and housekeeper. Excellent location for exploring Bourton-on-the-Water and early morning walks around the village to beat the crowds. Also a great base to explore other parts of the Cotswolds.

A really cosy cottage, literally a stones throw from the village of Bourton on the Water and all it’s lovely shops and restaurants. The cottage is very well kitted out - comfy beds, lovely clean and quality bed linen. Great shower and bathroom, it has everything you need. The generous welcome hamper was amazing!! We will happily stay again! We really enjoyed and would recommend 100%.

We had a really wonderful stay with Amanda. The house is in the most excellent spot as it is a few minutes walk from the main area of Bourton but is far enough away so it is still peaceful. The house has everything you need with a lovely welcome tray of goodies as well as all the cleaning basics that you don’t always want to buy/bring with you for a few days. The beds are comfy and the courtyard is lovely and sunny. I would definitely recommend staying here and if you have children there is the added bonus of good curtains making the rooms dark and a playground as the end of the drive! Thank you Amanda.

Amanda's house is beautiful with a lovely garden. The place is very clean and just as described. The bed linens and towels are really top quality. Amanda also kindly advised the sight of interests and gave a welcome basket as well.

We had a short break here to meet up with family. Cottage is in a great location with the added bonus of parking. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds and fluffy towels. A very well stocked kitchen, and the solar lit courtyard was an excellent spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Recommend 100%
