We only stayed one night as we were breaking up a long journey and we wish had been there for longer! The place was cosy and just perfect, comfortable, clean, with everything you could need for a cosy stay. We had a 1 year old with us and the little dressing room was perfect for her cot too. She also loved the big bath! Great location in a beautiful little village. Would recommend and hope to be back ourselves!

Undeniably, the Cotswolds and Bourton-on-the-Water is beautiful. This cottage is in a great location to grab dinner at the Mouse Trap and stroll the shops and over the bridges that make the area the local “Venice.” The cottage definitely caters to dog owners, more so than simply being “dog friendly,” but our stay was lovely for a jump off spot to explore gems near and far like Blenheim Palace and Daylesford Farm!

Great location ( walking distance to all attractions ) at Bourton on Water and easy drive to Bibury and Chipping Camden . The place looked exactly like in photos and Amanda is super responsive . Hideaway Cottage is a beautiful cottage and is a very comfortable place to stay. It was very clean and the rear courtyard is a real sun trap in the late afternoon. We will definitely return at some point.

Perfect for a weekend getaway. The cottage is conveniently located 2 minutes from the centre of Burton-on-Water and is a perfect base to explore all that the Cotswolds has to offered. Had a lovely few days at the cottage , in such as beautiful location. Only a short walk to the centre of the village. So many local towns to visit nearby ,and loved all the farm shops. Cozy cottage, beautiful updated kitchen and bathroom. The village is beautiful but the cottage is not really in a lovely part of town and the photos of the greenery you see in the listing - you need to walk a bit to get to. The Mousetrap Inn had amazing food. Best part about the location was how close it was to that restaurant.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the cottage while visiting the Cotswolds. The home was clean, cozy and central to all the attractions in Bourton-on-the-Water. We brought along our pup and the house was perfect for a furry companion, even with a welcome basket featuring a jar of dog treats. Lovely place, super nicely done up. Just didn’t love the location. Absolutely loved that place had outdoor space, but due to the location didn’t feel as private with the car park just there. However, if you’re in Bourton maybe just for a night or two and need a super central base to explore the town and sights, this place is perfect.

Fantastic stay at hideaway cottage in the beautiful Cotswalds. Amanda was a great host and extremely responsive to every question asked and ensured the house was setup to accommodate my wife and I, as well as our 3 year old and 3 month old daughters. The cottage was wonderfully located from the centre of town with a 2-3 minute walk along the main road or a 6-7 min walk through the beautifully scenic waterway through the back of the house. I would absolutely recommend Amanda and Hideaway Cottage and can’t wait to return at a later date.

This was mine and my husband’s first holiday with our 10 month old, and the cottage couldn’t have been more perfect! The cottage itself is beautiful, very clean, and had everything you could need for a few nights stay. The complimentary drinks and snacks were a lovely touch, and the bedding was the softest I’ve ever slept in. Amanda was fantastic at communicating and answering any questions we had, and kindly provided a travel cot and high chair for our stay. We also found a high chair abacus, a book and rubber bibs in the cupboards, so the cottage is very accomodating for little ones :) The location was also amazing - only a 5 minute walk into the main village, but far enough away that you’re in a quiet spot. So if you’re thinking of staying in Bourton-on-the-Water, I would definitely recommend Amanda’s cottage.

The accommodation was lovely and was perfect for my dog (the dog bath came in handy). It was very comfortable and we had a thoroughly relaxing stay. Would highly recommend to dog owners as everything is catered for them, which is a rarity I find. We tried to do some of the beautiful walks Amanda recommended but sadly due to the rain, it was just too muddy. The area is stunning and when it wasn’t raining it was a joy to walk around. I found the car parking also very convenient, which is helpful as Bourton can get very busy.

Some places are listed as luxurious and then fall short in reality. Not in this case! Amanda's cottage is a little gem, cosy and comfortable, with beautiful decor and brimming with little extras like bath salts, welcome goodies, and everything to make your pet comfortable if you're bringing one. Amanda is a great host, with clear, friendly and proactive communication. The cottage is conveniently located a short walk from the main street, with access to lots of eateries and local attractions. Amanda’s hideaway cottage is the perfect venue for a couples retreat. We brought our 4 month old twins for their first holiday & we had a great time. Bourton town center very close by (walking distance within 5mins), lovely renovated cottage, clear & professional instructions from our host with some lovely touches (well stocked house, welcome tray, very receptive to questions). This cottage was absolutely perfect! Its location is great, with the village itself being a mere 2 minute walk away from the cottage. Other villages close by are a 15-20 minute drive away which means there is lots to do close by! The cottage itself was pristine and clean, the bed linen was so soft and all amenities were provided! Little things like fresh cleaning cloths and sponges and eco-friendly dish soap and shower gel/shampoo etc really showcase going the extra mile! The cottage is tucked away, but the clear instructions Amanda provided were great, no issues whatsoever! Designated parking was easy to find, and well demarcated. Honestly couldn’t fault a single thing about the stay, we will most definitely be back! X

Such a beautiful Airbnb! This was a perfect location in the Cotswolds, and we loved walking to the shops and restaurants. The place was as gorgeous as the photos, and Amanda was quick to respond to any message. The kitchen and bathroom were pristine! Wi-fi was a little slow and no air conditioning, both to be expected in the countryside. But we had an amazing stay and would definitely return! Thank you, Amanda!

Location, location!! I stayed at Amanda’s for a short stay at Bourton On the Water and it was centrally located to many attractions. It was walking distance to downtown, the Motoring Museum, and a short scenic drive to Sudeley Castle. The apartment was tidy, nicely furnished, and stocked with necessary kitchenware to eat, cook etc. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!

The property is wonderful - beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, with lots of little touches from Amanda that really made our stay. A truly relaxing experience from start to finish. Having dedicated parking and an EV charger was a massive plus, and having so many amenities and great restaurants and pubs within walking distance made for a wonderful weekend. Beautiful home, decorated wonderfully. Modern yet cosy- especially with the underfloor heating and fireplace! We felt at home right away. Everything was easy to use, the location was brilliant - literally a 2 minute walk from the village shops/pubs/restaurants. We received great instructions and had no trouble finding the place. Having the car parking space was very handy. Nice little touches such as locally sourced soap, complimentary shampoo/conditioner/body wash. There was also a welcome pack with nibbles/tea/drinks etc and even some welcome treats for our dog too which was so sweet and muchly appreciated! I would highly recommend choosing this place to stay when visiting the Cotswolds.

Our three night stay was delightful. The cottage was so lovely, all the creature comforts, quiet, really good location, just a short stroll away from everything, and very tastefully decorated. A high quality refurb and a beautifully decorated cottage with off street parking, in a great location for exploring the Cotswolds - perfect for our 3 night stay. Sofas a tad firm for extended periods (maybe that just says I spent too much time lounging around enjoying the cottage!), but the log burner was a treat in the evenings. The only slight negative was being on a fairly busy road with constant car traffic, and a lot of people walking past and looking in if you left the shutters open. All in all, a lovely place to stay and would highly recommend Amanda’s place.

I think the description misrepresented the accommodation Bedroom 1 was a small double and bedroom 2 was a sofa bed My self and my eldest son are both 6 feet plus and the second bedroom was way less than the minimum expected no mention of sofa bed! Only complaint but enormous given no sleep for Jack The Place is fine and well turned out

Beautiful cottage, everything was immaculate and very tastefully furnished. Incredibly comfortable sofas, beautifully fresh bed linen and towels and generally a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. We absolutely loved our short mid week break here. The cottage is in a perfect location, within a few minutes walk of an abundance of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and beautiful walks. Met all of our requirements and more! Amanda is a super responsive host and the descriptions of the property are all 100% accurate. I would just say that the photos don’t actually do it full justice as it’s even better than they represent. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. I have stayed at many Airbnb's and Amanda's place rates as one of the best! It is stylish, fresh, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. From the moment you walk in you feel welcome and at home. It even smelled great! We did not have our pups with us on this trip but Amanda had a cute, welcoming set up if you are traveling with your furry friends. Parking was easy! And there was even a private patio in the back. Best of all, the location is perfect. The cottage is just a short walk away from the adorable downtown, full of an amazing choice of coffee shops, bars, restaurants and any other amenities you might need. Amanda's cottage is arguably in one of the best villages in the Cotswolds. If this cottage is free, jump at the chance to book it. It was so wonderful, we were sad to leave!

This is an elegant little jewel box of a cottage. Amanda's place was spotlessly clean and looked just like the photos. It's within a two minute walk of the center of the village but just far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would happily do so again!

Hideaway Cottage, an absolute gem. We had an amazing stay, such a delightful property oozing with Amanda’s personal touches. Hideaway Cottage was absolutely charming - beautifully presented and immaculately clean, with all the necessary equipment for an extremely comfortable stay. The bed was very comfy and the bedroom quiet being at the back of the house. It was an ideal base being only a short walk from all the restaurants, shops & activities and with lots of lovely walks nearby. I would highly recommend it!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Amanda's cottage was perfect for the two of us and we felt right at home - Clean and charming. Amanda provided us with an extensive list of local recommendations and it was very helpful. Everything in Bourton on the Water was walking distance -within a 5 min walk. We enjoyed sitting in the private patio in back, sipping wine and snacking on local cheeses we purchased from a town nearby. Although the front of the home is just off a road, the traffic was mostly light so not a lot of noise and foot traffic didn't bother us either. We still felt like we had privacy. We will definitely be back and would recommend this place to anyone.

Amanda was extremely helpful with getting back to any questions we had that day, and giving us recommendations on where to eat and what to do. We had the best stay! My Partner and I, our baby and dog stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! Great location! The cottage was immaculate, decor was spot on and felt right at home. I had got in contact a week before asking if we could have birthday decorations up and this was done which was Perfect, so thank you!! I liked the soft touches of the drinks/refreshments tray and even doggy treats and shampoos for muddy paws! Nothing was forgotten! We loved our stay at Amanda’s cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water. It was exactly as pictured, but even better because everything was so modern and clean and beautifully appointed. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed. The bathroom was great as well with nice new shower and large soaking tub. We didn’t have a dog but wish we had when we saw how thoughtfully they prepared the place for furry friends. Dog bed, treats and a dog wash on the back patio. Loved the extra outdoor area for relaxing and the upstairs dressing room! We will recommend this to friends as it was also in the perfect central location to see the Cotswolds and Bath and Oxford.

We had a lovely short stay at Hideaway Cottage. Everything has been designed beautifully, we loved the decor and felt right at home! Treats and a dog bed were even left out for our dog after mentioning we were bringing her along. Lovely little garden to sit out in to enjoy the sunshine. The location is amazing- a few min walk to the center of one of the most beautiful town in the Cotswolds- with lovely walks in the vicinity. Great restaurants nearby. Pros: Great location - next to the main village high street. Easy to find the cottage (Amanda provides clear instructions). Nicely renovated. Felt right at home straight away. Quick responses to queries. Cons: second bedroom/study is very small - so small, the door only half-closes as the sofa bed is in the way, which means you don't have much privacy. Also, the cottage could have been cleaned better - we found animal hairs and the bathroom wasn't as clean as one would expect.

We had a lovely weekend at Amanda's cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water. It's tucked away from the main road, creating a quiet, private space. The cottage itself is adorable and has so many nice touches that make it a home away from home. Very friendly for our 14 year old dog, who loved his stay more than us! It has easy parking, which is great for most people who will need a car to village hop. There are some charming places nearby in Bourton-on-the-Water (all walkable), and lovely restaurants and shopping in nearby towns (10-20 minute drive - or longer depending on how far you want to explore). Highly recommended for a couple looking to get away for a few days.

We loved our time here. The property was done really well - very smart and clean, but also super cosy. It felt like home straight away. The instructions on how to find the property were really helpful, and getting in was really easy. We also appreciated the recommendations on local places to eat and things to do. The village and surrounding areas are beautiful and the hideaway was such a good base to explore from. It was also really handy to be only a few minutes walk into the centre of the village when going out for breakfast or walking back from the pub after a few drinks. We will definitely be booking again!

It’s a shame it wasn’t warmer so we could use the outdoor patio space. What can I say. I am an Airbnb host myself both owning and managing properties so can be Quite particular when it comes to Airbnb stays… but Amanda’s place was truly perfect. The location is second to none. The decor was perfection.. I’ve been meaning to ask what the bedroom paint is and where the kitchen hardware is from?! Welcome/ info pack were perfect. Logs for the fire, a dog bed and blankets to make sure the dogs were comfortable and the place was kept clean for housekeepers and future guests. Nice quality bedding. We will be using this as our go to when we are visiting the Cotswolds going forward. No complaints at all. We had a lovely dinner at the mousetrap which you could pretty much fall into from the cottage. Recommended by Amanda and also a burger night at smiths five minute walk away.

We had a really wonderful stay with Amanda. The house is in the most excellent spot as it is a few minutes walk from the main area of Bourton but is far enough away so it is still peaceful. The house has everything you need with a lovely welcome tray of goodies as well as all the cleaning basics that you don’t always want to buy/bring with you for a few days. The beds are comfy and the courtyard is lovely and sunny. I would definitely recommend staying here and if you have children there is the added bonus of good curtains making the rooms dark and a playground as the end of the drive! Thank you Amanda.

We had a short break here to meet up with family. Cottage is in a great location with the added bonus of parking. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds and fluffy towels. A very well stocked kitchen, and the solar lit courtyard was an excellent spot for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Recommend 100%
