Alan and Debs’ places are always clean and well stocked. They are always available for questions and tend to concerns very quickly. This trip there were issues that were beyond their control with plumbing in the complex and air conditioning that intermittently malfunctioned. But as always, we enjoyed our family holiday at Debs and Alan’s place.

What a gem!! Thr place looks exactly as the photos. Spacious rooms beautiful bathrooms and views. We were spoil with a cleaning lady everyday with fresh towels and swimming towels provided. Walking distance from beach and resturants. We will defnitily stay here again.

Deb's and Alan's place is a delightful retreat for anyone participating in the Comrades Marathon or just seeking a serene getaway. The spaciousness of the unit offers a comfortable and relaxing environment, perfect for recharging after an eventful day. Its proximity to Durban, coupled with the ease of access, adds to the convenience, making it an ideal spot for travelers. Although time constraints kept us from enjoying the promenade and beach, their close presence are opportunities for leisurely strolls and beach activities. Lovely few days in Deb's place in Umhlanga but pity beaches were closed so no swimming allowed for the duration of our stay. Complex is well situated and close to all amenities but the communal pool area is a little run down and in need of a little TLC. The apartment itself was as described in the listing. It was modern, clean and comfortable. Deb & Alan went out of their way to help us with anything we needed during our stay. Only suggestion would be an umbrella or some covering on the balcony so it is useable on hot sunny days !

Debs and Alan are superb hosts. Their apartment at Bermudas is beautiful, clean and well-maintained; they were extremely accommodating with our check-in and check-out needs; the apartment was cleaned and refreshed every day; and the small niggles that we found were rectified immediately. We were very happy with our stay, and would definitely consider them again for our next visit to Umhlanga.

Debs and Alan were fantastic hosts. They were proactive in setting up a W*atsApp group chat and were active to respond. We had to make changes to our booking before getting to Durban and they were so accommodating. The view was phenomenal, and access to the beach was just a stones through away. Debs was a star host who was there to greet us when we arrived and helped get us settled. Thank you so much for the splendid stay! We wished we could stay longer. The venue is very spacious and you could tell that the host had taken all considerations in making it a beautiful and welcoming space. The host had a useful file of recommendations and the load shedding schedule (but we did not experience any loadshedding). The view is incredible, and we enjoyed the beach very much. Even when it rained on our last day, we were all cosy at home as a family playing games and watching movies. The kitchen caters very well with every utensil you could require to make meals; the bathrooms were modern and spacious as well. The walk-in closet in the main bedroom was a very pleasant touch, and the cleaning service was perfect. Real value for money!! I look forward to visiting again.

Another excellent stay in one of Debs and Alan’s properties. They are making it hard for us to want to try other places, we just want to stay in their properties now. Because we know we’ll get excellent service at an excellent price! We had an incident with a broken door lock…no exaggeration here but it took 15 mins from the time of reporting the broken lock to Alan having it fixed with a supplier! They are very responsive and always ready to assist with anything we may need, not that we need much because their properties are so well catered with many essentials and amenities, it’s like being in a hotel. We’ll be in the hunt for one of their properties the next time we’re in the area again!

The Bermudas - remember this name! My husband and I stayed two weeks in this apartment (202). From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were so impressed by the attention given to us by Alan - the manager. At all times he made himself available to attend to any request we may have. The apartment was immaculate, comfortable, and serviced daily by a delightful domestic worker. At no time during our stay did we have ANY complaints. I can truly say that we have never stayed in accommodation so well organized.

This is one of our favorite AirBnB places...great location, well maintained complex, lots of little extras like coffee and tea, A/C in all the bedrooms, and great hospitality. They even were so kind as to let us borrow a baby item we weren't able to pack. You won't regret staying here!

Debs and Alan were fantastic hosts, they were most helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing stay. From the moment we arrived Alan was there to assist us with our arrival, to after we left and forgot some of our belongings behind, Debs so kindly posted to us - nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was lovely, we had all the amenities and assistance we required to make a perfect stay. The location overlooking bronze beach was stunning, to wake up in the morning and listen to the waves crashing and smell that sea breeze air was just what we needed :) When we come back we will definitely book this apartment again :)

Beautiful apartment right on the beach. The apartment is kitted out with everything you need, from body boards for the beach, beach towels etc to a braii on the balcony. The location is great, a 1 min walk to the beach. The beach was great for swimming, a highlight was seeing the dolphins swim past close to the beach. The promenade is great for running or walking to the local restaurants. Debs and Alan really made it a great stay, from waiting when I was delayed and helping with all my luggage, to being so quick to respond or pop round if we needed help with anything. They were so lovely with my baby goddaughter, she really didn’t want to leave them! This was really different from other Airbnb’s stays, with Debs and Alan being on hand to help with anything. Thanks for a great trip, we hope to be back in the future!
