The place was great had all we needed. It is in the heart of Umhlanga so expect some noise on Friday and saturday nights. When we arrived the DSTV was not operating but it was quickly fixed and we had no further issues.

Excellent location, easy to walk to beach, shops, restaurants etc. For us it was just a little bit too busy and Saturday night was very noisy. Lots of traffic and boy racers with very loud exhausts!!! Apartment was great though, had everything you needed.

Flat is conveniently located with restaurants and a Pick n Pay just an elevator ride away. However, it's very noisy due to nearby clubs playing loud music until 3 AM and sports cars revving and racing along the adjacent road day and night, making it unsuitable for families. Celene, the hostess, was not very friendly and seemed like she was doing us a favor by being there. The flat requires better cleaning; there was plenty dust under the bed, on the fan, and aircon, the carpet needed vacuuming, and the bathroom ceiling showed water damage. Some knobs were missing, the bed was damaged, and there was no place to lock valuables. It's great for party lovers but not for those seeking quiet getaway. Overall, it offers good value for money.

Great place to relax and a short 5 minute walk to the Umhlanga promenade, pier, and beach. There is a Clicks, Pick n Pay and plenty of restuarants including a laundromat downstairs so you don't need a car if you're flying in. Oceans Mall is close by also and a short walk away. Appreciate the welcome by the owners who were friendly and receptive. The unit came with a lot of extras to make your stay more welcoming which included a coffee and tea station. The aircon works well and kept the unit nice and cool. The balcony has good views and you are located just two streets away from the ocean which you can see from the unit.

Bathroom is a decent size and the apartment, although small, felt very spacious and was all that was needed for a comfortable stay. This is a great place and highly recommended it. Debs is a very good host. We arrived quite late but Debs was flexible and understanding. She received us at the parking, offered to help with luggage and walked us to the unit. She explained how everything works, lifts, aircon, lights, keys and locking, coffee machines etc. Debs recommended restaurants and showed us around the complex. The unit itself is great, it has everything you need, and the sea view is even better than the pictures. Unit was clean and bedding was fresh. It was a lovely stay.

Great apartment for a short stay. Everything you need is literally around the corner or downstairs. Allen and Deb’s are great hosts and will make you feel home right away. Just make sure the driver drops you at the right address as there are two entrances to the building (Parking/ Gate and restaurant street). We had a wonderful stay, with Debs meeting us, taking us up to the apartment and decribing the area's restaurants. The apartment buiding has security second to none. The apartment itself is clean, airy and comfortable. We would have appreciated more cupboard space for packing our clothes and belongings but that was overshadowed by all the positive aspects of the apartment. It is well situated right in the middle of the main restaurant areas, right next to Oceans shopping centre and with a Pick 'n Pay in the same building. The beautiful Umhlanga beachfront promenade is a 5-minute walk away for either relaxing strolls or active walks. The night life was loud, but there was a Springbok rugby victory against the All Blacks on the Saturday afternoon and I am sure that this contributed to a lot of the noise. Close the balcony doors and we could not hear a thing, having a peaceful night. We are determined to return. Thanks you, Debs and Alan.

Our short stay at Deb’s place was nothing short of amazing. I’m terms of location, it really doesn’t get any better, with great restaurants and bars for great food and entertainment and beautiful views of the sea from the apartment. We would take a morning walk at the beach, which is so close and accessibly from the apartment. The bed is SO COMFORTABLE, just like my bed at home, bathroom is spacious, clean with great water pressure. Modern spacious kitchen with coffee machine and pods, very convenient in the morning. Overall, I am so happy I stayed here and plan to be back very soon, Debs place will be my new home away from home when in Durban. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Debs and Alan are fantastic hosts! They are both friendly, patient and extremely helpful. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures and is located not far from a scenic beach. It is also along a street with restaurants, pubs and is a stone's throw from a sizeable mall, so I didn't have to go far for much. My stay was pleasant and I look forward to returning soon

We enjoyed our stay at Debs' AirBNB. She met us on the evening we arrived with our 9-month twins, helped us into the accommodation and gave us a short tour. The flat is perfect for a single person and a couple and there was enough space for us to set out two camper cots for our babies. The flat is also located right above the Umhlanga Village which has dozens of fantastic restaurants and is a short walk from two big shopping malls recently built in the area. You can also walk straight down to the beach or to the Umhlanga promenade for a run or stroll. I cannot recommend this AirBNB enough! Thank you Debs for having us.

Staying at 65 Lighthouse, felt right at home the moment we walked in. The pictures don’t do this place justice, it is WAY more beautiful in person. I would definitely recommend staying here, you’ve got everything you could possibly need inside the apartment and it’s also surrounded by beautiful views and vibey restaurants down stairs. Also loved that Debs + Alan consistently sent us loadshedding schedules. Definitely enjoyed seeing myself in the mirror everywhere in the apartment 😂❤️. Book this place you won’t regret it!

Perfect location, close to loads of restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets. Short walk to the beach and the the iconic Lighthouse and Whale bone pier, where you can take a leisurely (or brisk) walk along the promenade. Alan was great at communicating Loadshedding times to prepare. There is an inverter so Wi-Fi and one lamp still work so the Loadshedding did not impact me too much. I managed to catch some great sunsets from the balcony along with the odd whale sighting. I would definitely recommend this place to stay and will be using Debs and Alan again for my next visit.

We loved our stay at Debs’ place. She and Alan were extremely welcoming, gave us great tips on restaurants and things to do, and made sure we had everything we needed. We felt very secure staying there, with private access lifts and parking. Right in the building is a Pick n Pay, as well as several eateries, and it is an easy and pleasant walk to the beachfront promenade. A real find. We arrived as guests and left as friends. Really enjoyed staying at this Air BnB. They even set up a social media group to make regular communication so easy and effective. The location is prime, security around the area is fantastic, I never once felt unsafe! Lots of restaurants, bars and shopping malls close by. Will highly recommend this place and look forward to my next visit. Thank you Alan and Debs 👌

Area was beautiful and safe, communication was perfect. Place was very beautiful, big, well stocked kitchen. They were available for our check in and check out timely, inspite of our checkout being at odd time. Car parking is covered and secured. Durban is considered unsafe but this place was very safe for late nights too, which is a very big advantage. Everything that you need is around, from supermarkets, to pubs, to fine dining restaurants and cafes. Beach is at a walkable distance. House was clean, and was timely cleaned the next day too. Wifi, big working TV with Mi stick stood out. Hosts recommended places around which helped a lot too.

Debs and Allen are amazing hosts. Communication was excellent, Their beautiful 65 Executive Studio Suite, Umhlanga Airbnb was exactly as described and more beautiful in person. Extremely clean, super comfortable, just what we needed for our five nite stay. Very safe and secure. Walking to the shops, restaurants, beautiful beach and lighthouse, are all so nice and close. I highly recommend Deb's place and would definitely stay again. Thanks for the lovely stay :~)

This place is exactly as advertised: Debs Met me exactly as arranged. Allowed me to check in early. Umhlanga is easy to walk around. Supermarket, shops, restaurants are downstairs or across one or two streets. There is secure security access and parking. I felt quite safe walking around day & night. - Thanks for letting me stay - 👋

We loved it here, we had no vehicle but this place to a lot of restaurants, bars etc. shopping very close right In our building. Easy Uber to Gateway Mall, so much access to a lot of places. Spent an afternoon at Oyster Box for Cocktails and nibbles. 3rd flour right on top of the water. Deb met us and did an excellent job explaining everything. great hosts we just loved our visit Thank you for being such get hosts.

A lovely, clean place. Debs is lovely and offers great insights into local eateries. Walking distance to the beach. Very close to a range of restaurants. We enjoyed the hive of activities close by however for some wanting quiet the weekends can be somewhat noisy as music from restaurants can be heard in the apartment during the evening. Value for money.

Thank you to Debs and Alan for being such warm welcoming hosts. We really enjoyed our stay. Apartment was super clean with all the necessities which made us feel like home. Bed was super comfortable ,apartment decor was amazing with a modern touch. Loved the ceiling fan which was silent and high tech. Location was ideal and just a walking distance to all ammendmities. Also not forgetting the stunning view of the ocean. Awesome place!!

Location, location, location. Great space. Grocery store right by elevator to apartment, pharmacy 50 steps away. Restaurants and bars steps away. Great view and impeccable service and amenities. Worth double the price. I would stay again

From the booking to my friendly welcome from Debbie was first class. The attention to detail in the apartment is on point it felt like i was in my own studios even to the thought of having a beach towel for use . The highlight of the apartment is the silent fan and how it transforms from a light to a fan. The apartment is easy accessible and beautifully maintained its serviced daily and the comfort and affordability of this unit is well worth it. Im looking forward to my stay nwxt week. Beautifully set up. Sea views to die for. Shops, restaurants, beach and bars within walking distance. Huge plus! (Weekends you can hear the noise from said bars but its not unbearable). Wifi signal is good, several options to choose from on the TV. Fan and aircon a huge win. Room was cleaned every day which is a load off when you're on holiday. Bottles of wine were available for a late night drink, you just have to pay back for the bottle - no extra charge compared to bottle stores. Really cool. Not very kiddie friendly though as the space doesnt allow for kiddies to move around - the host was amazing and accommodated us with a baby cot and bath for our little one. Overall a really enjoyable stay. Would easily recommend and happily stay again.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment! It felt comfortable and welcoming and the view was better than expected. It is also very conveniently located close to the beach, restaurants and a grocery stores. We fell asleep with the sound of the waves at night.

We had the most incredible time at Deb's place! The location was perfect and just a minute away from Chartwell Drive with a host of restaurants and bars. We managed to spot a few dolphins and whales from the balcony, which was the best part! The space is comfortable enough for two, with ample cupboard space and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need if you feel like cooking. Would recommend to anyone in need of a staycation or a home away from home!

A really wonderful and pleasurable stay. Debs is extremely welcoming, warm and accommodating. the location is close to perfect with the beach a short walk away, and you can practically role out of bed to the shops , bars and restaurants. The apartment has a stunning view and is really clean and well kept. The added amenities like DStv, wifi and a cleaning service is great. will definitely be returning in the future. 10/10 recommended.

We had an absolutely incredible weekend at this place. It's ideally located with a beautiful view of the ocean. The lift takes you down to the shopping complex with grocery stores and restaurants easy to reach. Debs and Alan were great host. Quick response to questions and very helpful.

I cannot say enough good things about Alan and Debs’ place. The location is absolutely fantastic. We didn’t use the car once since we were able to walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The apartment is very secure and safe. The apartment was extremely cleaned and well stocked with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Debs was lovely and meet us upon arrival to give us a tour. Debs and Alan were wonderful with their communication throughout our trip. Do not hesitate to book this apartment!

Loved this listing, set in the heart of Umhlanga with direct access to restaurants and the beach. Pictures matched the apartment perfectly and really enjoyed meeting both Debs and Alan who were very friendly and even asked if there was anything they could improve on - in my opinion there is nothing! Will be visiting again soon.

The place was spotless and really well-equipped - with everything you could think of. Sea views from the balcony and it's an easy walk to the beach and only a lift ride to the shops restaurants. It was slightly noisy from music at night and cars on road but that comes with the great location for everything you could need.
