I only have good things to say after our visit. It was worth every penny. Very clean, great layout and an awesome location. The description was matched perfectly and we got more than what we expected. Excellent communication from Debs n Alan. Clean, neat and tidy apartment. Spacious with the best balcony and views of Bronze Beach. You can't get closer to the ocean. We loved this apartment; it was exactly as described. Great views, easy access to the beach, wonderful morning light, large balcony - we will be back! Large spacious bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. Close to all the great restaurants on Charwell Drive, and a mere 15min to Umdloti which has two of our favourite spots Tightline & Bel Punto. Very responsive host, Tobeka the cleaning lady was always on time, quick and ensured our linen was changed, towels were refreshed. Great service!

We arrived on a very hot day and to enter a clean cooled apartment with the aircon on was so welcome. With 4 of us it was big enough to enjoy without being in each other's space. But why stay in with the beach so close - the apartment interior and location is as described, right on the promenade and the beach and within walking distance to many restaurants. The light sleeper among us was disturbed by light through the blinds and the ocean waves, switching rooms easily resolved that. I'm already recommending this place to friends and looking forward to my next stay, we had a great time .

Thank you Deb's for an amazing stay at 502 Marbella Beach Apartment, it was perfect. We appreciated the daily correspondence on water and load shedding that affected the area, you were always on-top of all the issues ahead of time and allowed us to plan accordingly. My family and l loved the unit. it was exactly as it is described on the listing. the hosts went above and beyond to make sure we are at home. on arrival, our flight landed about 3hours before check in time (2pm) and they allowed us to get in earlier. upon checking out, we had an afternoon flight as well and they let us stay until we were ready to depart (2hrs later). The unit is very specious and has great views of the ocean and about 3-5mins walk to the city centre (umhlanga) overall, we highly recommend this property

There can't be many places with a view and surroundings like this. As you walk through the front door you are welcomed with a 180-degree sea view and a spacious apartment with comfortable and quality furniture. The beds are comfortable and clean and the apartment has everything you need. Debs and Alan were very helpful and always available to assist. Our stay was just too short. We will be back for sure.

We loved our stay here and found the hosts extremely helpful and responsive. Everything was communicated well and they made our stay seamless. The flat was exactly like the pictures and has a gorgeous view over the beach and promenade. Location is absolute perfection. Main bedroom bed was so comfy I could have packed it up and taken it home with me. Bedding was lovely too. Awesome big TV in the lounge and the flat had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Will definitely stay here again.

The host is one of the best we have encountered, top class. The unit is really well located and the views exceptional. Direct access to the boardwalk and beach is great. The unit needs some refurbished, some areas showing it’s age, but for the price point and location, value for money. The daily service is really good.

Hosts are very professional. Location is the holiday centre of the KZN Coast. Overall though I didn't love the place. It needs maintenance and we were warned off swimming becuase of the ecoli present in the water, which is pretty much a deal breaker for a seaside holiday. a little disappointing.

Outstanding hosting! Alan was there to welcome us and allowed us in about an hour earlier than scheduled. Personal walk-through of the apartment. The apartment itself is dated and older than it looks in pictures. Little things became frustrating after a while (changing plugs to the 1 socket that was working every time the kettle or microwave was needed. Kitchen drawers fall. Only 4 teaspoons, so if you make coffee for 3, the 3 can’t eat yogurt without having to wash teaspoons ;) No scissors in the kitchen Like I said-really small things that became agitating after a while. Location and view - unsurpassable! The ocean is always amazing and together with Alan’s excellent hosting and communication made up for the actual apartment itself.

We loved being a stones throw from the beach in a well positioned apartment - literally adjacent to the promenade. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with fully ducted air-conditioning throughout! On site parking for 2 vehicles with excellent security. Beautiful location. Accommodation has everything you need - including nice touches like basic essentials available and replenished daily. Daily cleaning. Aircon that works. Extremely friendly and responsve hosts. It was sad to leave and will be back. My only constructive feedback is to fix the mildew issues that covered the ceiling in the entry way (outside the bedrooms). Probably common in such high humidity but there was unusual damp smell that also filtered into my bags and clothing.

We stayed at 502 Marbella and it was amazing!!! Location was incredible as it was right infront on Bronze beach (which is one of the 2 designated swimming areas on Umhlanga Beach) The appartment was super spacious and had everything you needed including beach towels. It is well maintained and serviced daily. Alan and Debs were super and a phone call away if anything was needed. Appartment is in a very secure complex and restaurants close by and within walking distance. BONUS: The complex also has its own pool!! Will definitely be back and highly recommend:)

The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. The few steps to the apartment door are manageable, even for guest that might struggle climbing stairs. However guests with walkers and wheelchairs might struggle. The view from the patio is picture perfect and one can sit there for hours just listening to the waves.

The apartment was just what we needed for a relaxed weekend by the beach. Complex is secure, with 24 hour controlled access with security guard. Location is amazing, right on the beach. Ocean views from the main bedroom and patio balcony, with the sound of ocean putting you to sleep. Close proximity to most restuarants and shops. Highly recommended!!

Lovely beach apartment, terrible timing on our parts (middle of the protests and looting) Good: Location - Practically on top of the ocean! Loved the view from the patio and the master, super close to the beach, pool and area restaurants. The unit was clean, spacious and comfortable. And had everything we needed. Secure parking, nice enough pool. Less great: the back bedroom was dark with mold on the ceiling, and falling down curtains. The tv in the master bedroom was missing, and the tv in the living room was oddly placed making it harder to watch. Overall really nice place.

A clean, tidy and spacious apartment in a fantastic location. The views from the balcony were spectacular (and from the bedroom and bathroom!) Check in/out was smooth and Alan gave helpful tips on where to eat. A lovely few days away - we can’t wait to come back!

We had a lovely time. Debs and Alan were always only a minute away for any questions. The amenities and extra bits like boogie boards and beach towels was such a treat. The space is so well looked after and great space for a family to enjoy and relax. View is unbeatable and location to the beach and pool fantastic. Definitely would recommend their place to any families coming down for a few days.

Wonderful and attentive hospitality from Debs and Alan! A true blessing waking up to that view every morning. It is second to none. The apartment was light, spacious and had everything the family and I needed. Easy access to the beach and promenade. Umhlanga village with restaurants, bars and other amenities is a gentle 15-20min walk away, or a 5 min drive. Would certainly recommend this beautiful apartment. Thank you Debs & Alan!

If you are looking for a place to stay that is clean, well equipped and in the right location look no further The beach is literally at your door step. It is situated a short walk down from the main beach (a bit away from all the crowds which is great). The security and parking facilities are top class (enough space for a big vehicle and trailer or two cars - under cover) and you will feel safe and secure. You have everything you could possibly need in the apartment and the balcony is a nice place to sit and relax. You also have your own personal braai on the balcony or you can opt for an open fire braai down by the pool. Debs and Alan are welcoming and assists with any query you might have. It is really hard to not to 5 star this stay and I will definitely return in future.

A lovely location, right next to the beach and promenade. Debs and Allan were great hosts and met us at the gate to show us around. The place was clean and well appointed with all the facilities you would need - tea and coffees, WiFi and satellite TV. The main thing for us though was the amazing view of the ocean from the apartment. Thank you for your hospitality and if we come back to Durban will be knocking on your door again!

You couldn’t ask for a better location in Umhlanga Rocks, right on the beach. Go to sleep listening to the roaring Indian Ocean. The property is clean and has complementary WiFi, a great list of local restaurants, and plenty of amenities.

Outstanding location, facility & service! A stone's throw away from the promenade and beach, the unit is ideally situated, with great views of both. A nice walk on the promenade takes you into the center of Umhlanga, with many great restaurants & bars. The facility is comfortably furnished, with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable, and is also serviced every day. Allan met us at check-in and showed as around the unit making sure we knew how everything worked and also pointed out the brochure that included restaurant overviews , recommendations etc. He also personally checked in on us every day and was there when we checked out. All in all, a wonderful stay. We will be back!

Deb & Alan's place is beyond exceptional! The views are extraordinary, the place is modern, comfortable, and kept spotlessly clean (seriosly, how do they keep the beach sand out!) . Alan was so friendly and welcoming and gave us excellent local tips for what to do and where to eat, and even remembered my birthday which was just mentioned in passing. The apartment is close to anything and everything you could possibly need, great for a couple but fantastic for families (they were so accommodating of our toddler). A lot more than we usually spend on accommodation but it was so worth it - We will absolutely be back!

Great alternative place to stay with family instead of a hotel with all the basic amenities you need and the space to to relax and unwind. Prime location (main beaches, promenade to run and take family walks) and literally close to all that you need and places you would like to visit (like gateway, uskhaka and restaurants galore). Amazing and hospitable hosts. Friendly and inviting cleaning staff -(jospeh and gugu) who make you stay just that more special. Will defintley be back.

Debs and Allan are great hosts. They help us through our whole stay in Durban, and gave real good recommendations. The apartment is quite big, with amazing views (we saw pods of dolphins swimming off the coast from the balcony every morning!), and within walking distance (along the seawalk) to all the restaurants and supermarkets. Highly recommended!

This is an AMAZING apartment. Direct access on the main Umhlanga bronze bay beach. The apartment is in pristine condition with outstanding amenities. The apartment has modern finishes with the 2 full bathrooms in pristine condition. Definitely a place worth staying at as the value is just brilliant in terms of what one receives vs other apartments in Umhlanga. Look forwardto return again at the apartmen. The building is superb with 24hour security. The massive balcony is a plus for entertaining and hosting braais or bbqs for extended guests. The view is spectacular , one simply cannot ask for a better view and stunning apartment. Once again Debs and Allan super exceed expectations. Their hospitalityand warmth is on another level that is by far superior of many other hosts. Dont hesitate as the apartment is 1st Class :)

Our family enjoyed our stay in this apartment, really felt like home away from home. Apartment was sparkling clean and we couldn’t ask for anything better or more. The place sits right on the beach where the waves can be heard 24/7. It is gated with security onsite as well. Allen was very accommodating and always responded quickly - extremely helpful. Fresh linens were provided frequently and house cleaning services are provided upon request. The location is near the village and huge mall where you can find almost anything needed. They offer a booklet of things to do and places to eat. Overall experience was great and can't wait to return

What a great location! The sound of the ocean to wake up to with an open view of the Indian Ocean. A minute walk down to the surf and a 10 minute walk into the village. Amazing hospitality with a spotless open space apartment. Look forward to returning soon.

502 Marbella Air Bnb Arriving to the incredibly warm welcome of Debs and Alan one is immediately engulfed in the sunny Durban feeling of relaxation. Stepping into the apartment just seals that vacation sensation as one gets smitten with that intense view of the Indian Ocean lulling around in front of you with the extra hustle and bustle of watching waiting ocean vessels ready to offload their harbour wares. The views are absolutely spectacular and one can quite easily spend a slothful holiday on the couch watching the world go by from this centralized venue in Umhlanga, Durban. The apartment has all the necessities one requires to spend any amount of time in the wonderful corridor of KZN. The beaches are immediately accessible, fantastic gas braai facilities on the fantastically huge expansive balcony and easy to go to the bottom level for a classical wood barbecue. Whether you want to be that beach babe or relax next to the swimming pool and see the bustling promenade from a birds eye or go and catch a wave, this place is the ideal location.
