74 Lighthouse was absolutely an amazing stay! The place was spotless, modern, and had everything we needed. The host communicated clearly and check-in was very simple. The neighbourhood felt safe and was close to restaurants and shops. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Everything was perfect — I can definitely recommend this place! We worked remotely here for a few days and the WiFi was excellent; we were able to have simultaneous video calls without any issues. There are plenty of great restaurants nearby, and even a supermarket in the same building. The daily housekeeping was also a very nice extra touch.

Alan and Debs apartment is beautiful. What you see on the photos is what you get. Clean, spacious, secure. The shops, restaurants are right there. In the elevator and in the mall with everything u need. I can highly recommend this apartment. You will not go wrong.

Debs N Alan’s apartment was perfect for our long- weekend stay. They were so helpful and accommodating of extra requests we had and meeting us late in the evening when we arrived. This was one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve had! The apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated, and located in a quiet but central neighborhood. Check-in was a breeze, and the host left a thoughtful welcome basket with snacks and local tips. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we appreciated the fast Wi-Fi and fully stocked kitchen. Debs was the most gracious and friendly host. The apartment is beautifully laid out and very sunny and spacious with good views of the sea. What was amazing was we were met by Deb’s on arrival to let us in and show us the apartment which is not common with Airbnb these days. Another wonderful perk was that someone came to clean the apartment daily. The only drawback with this place was the noise from the surrounding bars and restaurants which was pretty intense especially over the weekend. Over all this apartment is fantastic! Well equipped and spotless ! Highly recommend!

This place was beautiful.. Everything about it was amazing. Had a great stay. Debs greeted us warmly and made check-in a breeze. The apartment itself is great and we were able to enjoy some of the ocean view through the large windows. I would certainly book there again even though the aircon compressor had a tendency to make a knocking noise through the night (hint- if you turn it off before going to sleep and leave the fan on and the door closed, then it recirculates the cold air well enough to keep the room cool). While our reason for travel was a sombre one, the apartment, view and surrounding activities brought a warm smile to our faces. Can't wait to be back. Thank you Debs and Alan for a lovely stay.

Honestly had such a good time at Debs. The place is was so clean and comfortable. They had coffee and tea for us to enjoy in the morning while you sit on the balcony in the morning and just marvel at the wonderful and serene view. This place is a true gem because it sits right on one top of Marry&Joe which I would highly recommend you go to for brunch as well as other restaurants right next to the building. You are a walk away from Rockets as well if that’s what you want to do. We wish we would’ve stayed a little longer, that’s how awesome this place was. Thank you Debs!

Yhoooooooooo wer do i even begin, Debs and Alan's accommodation is beautiful, close to everything, very clean. We checked in earlier than the check-in time even the checkout, i checked out later than the check out time. What a beautiful place, with shops and restaurants below. The cleaning lady Precious so humble 😊. It's a pity we couldn't enjoy our holiday as planned cause my friend got injured, we will definitely book with Debs and Alan next time we visit Durban. This is my third stay at one of Deb and Craig's places this year. Their apartments have become my go-to when I travel to Durban and are exactly as shown in the pictures, with thoughtful additions to make your stay a pleasant one. This apartment is located in a lively part of Umhlanga. It's spacious and comfortable, with a vintage yet fresh feel. The balcony overlooks the lighthouse and has plenty of space for breezy sundowners. The hosts were highly accommodating, from presenting me with different property options before booking, to allowing me to check-in early. I definitely recommend for anyone travelling for business or leisure

If you are looking at staying in Umhlanga then this is definitely the place to stay, it is in the heart of the 'village' with everything you need just on your doorstep. The beach is a short walk away where you can take a leisurely stroll (or run) along the promenade and soak up the fantastic view. The accommodation was clean, secure and tastefully furnished. I would definitely recommend staying here.

My parents stayed at Alan and Deb's place and loved it. The apartment is modern, comfortable and has stunning views. The location, in the heart of Umhlanga, is super convenient. My folks really enjoyed being able to walk around the vibey little town and easily access the shops and restaurants. Deb was a great host, we will definitely book there again.

As always...Debs and Alan are super hosts. Usually stay at their other listing but this was just as fantastic. The only thing I would recommend is fixing the side tables by the bed as the glass that was there must have broken so it was inconvenience of placing things on the floor or on the high bed board. Also the chair in the bedroom needs to be replaced as it was cracked and felt rickety when sitting down to dry hair. Also perhaps a close horse if I missed it just to hang up damp towels. Otherwise...still a 5 out of 5 property. Will highly recommend it.

I have a really good 10 days with Debs and Allan. Their place is very convenient and central with the elevator dropping down on the Main Street. The flat was extremely well kitted with everything you need and more. Plenty of extra touches you would not normally expect. Lastly, they were very accommodating with a very late checkout, which I really appreciated. Thanks Debs and Allan, I will be back on my next trip!

Great stay! Absolutely loved everything about Debs place. I was most impressed by the fact that she had all cleaning detergents on hand despite there being a daily clean included in the price. The cleaning lady was wonderful too, she was thorough even though daily cleans are generally a quick room refresher. Her place was beautiful and exactly like the pictures. Alan was wonderful, he called close to check in and was flexible despite me making changes. The linen was squeaky clean. All utensils and crockery were in great condition and cleaned well. Overall, I cannot fault her place. Everything was extremely convenient as explained in the description. The hosts were the best by far. Thank you!

I can't fault the accommodation or the way it was presented. Everything worked and the apartment was beautifully clean. With a well stocked super market downstairs, the beach and lots of very good restaurants in easy and safe walking distance the position is superb. The only negative was the noise from some of the restaurants and bars late at night, together with patrons leaving noisily in the early hours of the morning.

Debs has a lovely place virtually on the top floor of a building in the heart of Umhlanga's vibey restaurant district. The wide veranda looks out over the sea and the apartment itself is modern and very well-appointed. Comfy, huge bed that faces the sea, sleeping with the veranda doors open is a bonus. Recommended.
