The location of the apartment was really good and easy to find. But when we arrived, after about 1 hour the hot water pipe broke. Water came from the bedroom wall to the floor and we started to sort it out. From here on out, everything went difficult and it took almost two days to sort out. Airbnb support is really slow and they don't speak English, for example. We had to arrange a new place to stay ourselves and fortunately we got a hotel for the rest of the holiday.

The apartment was in a perfect location and was quite central in Barcelona. Our check in host met us and was extremely kind as she explained everything about the apartment and the area around it. After she left, we noticed a couple things that made our stay a bit less enjoyable. 1. We only received one key to the apartment. The host said they normally provide two keys and after asking for a 2nd one, they mentioned that they would look into it for us but we never heard back during our stay 2. The door to the 2nd bathroom was impossible to close. It looked like it was too big for the doorway and got stuck on the floor. This meant we only had 1 usable bathroom for 5. Again, after contacting the host, they mentioned that they would put in a ticket to fix this, but we never heard back for the duration of our stay. Overall the place was nice and as advertised, but these two issues made our stay a bit less ideal.

We had a problem when we entered the house. Since we have 2 babies, we asked the person who described the house to enter the house without shoes, and we received a very rude response from him. The floors were not clean, we had to wipe them all the time. The dishwasher definitely does not wash, it takes out dirty. The door of one of the bathrooms was rubbing against the floor, making it difficult and noisy to open and close. There were hairs on the sheets and stains on the towels. The positive aspects of the house are that it is spacious and has a terrace.

This is a spotless, professionally managed home that's very comfortable. The outdoor terrace added to the charm. My only complaint is that it's on a very busy street in an area where it's hard to find parking, if you have a rental car. Better to use UBER/Taxi to get there.

Good place to stay to explore Barcelona. Very near to metro station, and had a couple of local shops near by. Great to have private outdoor space in a flat, on a quiet road. All amenities as listed and stated on the website, and Jaume was a very responsive and helpful host. We had to contact him during our stay, and nothing was too much trouble.

The Garden House was a great place to stay in Barcelona, very close to the Arc de Triomf. The apartment was as described and the terrace outside space was a bonus. It was a short taxi ride to La Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. Maria met us at the apartment and was very helpful.

We loved the setting for the apartment. It’s was central for walking to all the local attractions without being in a busy, noisy area. There is a nearby taxi rank for longer journeys too. The apartment itself needs a little maintenance. The tap in the small bathroom is rusted, the shower head is loose and the cupboard has a broken hinge previously repaired with cardboard. The kitchen tap is also loose (mentioned in previous reviews). The oven doesn’t work but the hob was fine. Some wine glasses would have been appreciated but there were lots of large tumblers. None of these issues were sufficient to impact on our holiday. We loved Barcelona and we had a great time! Thank you.

Jaume’s place is fabulous! I live in Barcelona and booked the place for my family while they were visiting me, and we loved it so much we will definitely be booking it again for her future visits. The location is excellent, the apartment is spacious and clean, and the terrace was delightful. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped. Jaume was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our week long stay.

The apartment is good with a very big terrace at our disposal. It was the best thing about the apartment as well as it is in walking distance from most central Barcelona. We experienced some slightly tedious things like the dishwasher not working when we arrived and the one toilet was problematic. The owner had to come in twice to fix this, and this also took some time.

The apartment had a good central location and large terrace! Too bad it was so 'outdated' compared to the photos. The kitchen is outdated, the tap was hanging off. The furniture is in need of renewal. The terrace was also worn out. Nevertheless, certainly enjoyed our stay in Barcelona, but in retrospect price-quality can be better. The photos show a different picture. We also asked for late check-in, which apparently was still going. Last day no more response and at 11.05 the cleaning lady was already at the door unexpectedly so we had to leave the apartment in a hurry.

Great sized apartment & huge terrace. 2 bathrooms (neither en-suite) so great for group of friends & seem to be recently updated since previous comments. Comfortable beds & good quality linen. 3rd bedroom is a little small & could do with some shelving in wardrobe since there's no chest of drawers. Nice quiet location, felt very safe and easy access to all the sights, close to bus & metro stops.

The location of this place is great. Having two bathroom for three bedrooms was very handy. The photos show a bath however there isn’t a bath in the place. I like the house was sectioned off so more than one door could be closed between living and sleeping areas. This was very handy with jet lagged children. They were very responsive for any issue we had and came and fixed the internet with it cut out. A few small things around the place need to be fixed but over all the place was lovely

From the time of booking, communication with Jaume was very good. All my questions were answered quickly. I received practical information about the apartment in advance, so that no questions remained unanswered. At check-in Anna waited for us in the apartment and gave us a small briefing and further information, so we felt very well looked after. There was also quick help with questions during the stay. Thank you again for this! The apartment is large and well laid out. Our teenager had his own bedroom and bathroom :-). As already written in other reviews, the apartment is a bit dated. In general, it is clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The refrigerator is very noisy. The house itself is very noisy and you get a lot from the neighbours, as well as from us. With normal consideration, however, no problem. The washing machine with dryer was very helpful. However, we did not use the dryer due to the energy crisis. The weather was still warm enough and there are drying racks on the terrace. Air conditioning worked without any problems. The terrace is a beautiful highlight of the apartment. We always ate under the pavilion and enjoyed the morning or evening hours. Something special for the city. The location in the "Chinatown" of Barcelona was very good. Metro and buses right around the corner. Many shops, restaurants and supermarkets in the area. Many attractions within walking distance, as well as the Parc de la Ciutadella around the corner. Perfect for us! We had a great vacation and would definitely recommend this place!

The flat is well located, just a few steps away from the bus station and the Arc de Triomphe. To our surprise we didn't know this area is a little Chinatown, there are lots of Chinese shops and ads (which was fun to see in Spain). The flat is quite comfortable, all A/C work, and the Patio comes quite handy for those who like to smoke without having to leave the place. On the other hand and as an honest review, I must say that both bathrooms could be improved and better cleaned. One of the bathroom showers has a constant leak which has caused the tub to become rusty. There is also fungus on parts of the walls and floors (in both bathrooms) so we had to use our flip-flops every time we took a shower. I believe that this could easily be improved and would make the guests feel more comfortable as one usually never showers with flip-flops at home (or as it is our case, we don't have fungus or rust in the bathroom). Overall, this was a good stay and Anna was very friendly during the check-in.

Pros: very clean, warm welcome, 3min walk to bus/metro. A/C in every room. LOTS of closet space. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Cons: the appartment is old. There was rust and mold in the bathtub. We notified the host that it really needs to be addressed and fixed. The terrasse is big, but the high walls keep a lot of heat and the green chairs were practically brown and had not been scrubbed in months. Location note: most restaurants next door are asian and the spanish restaurants are at a 15-20 walk. It was not what we expected but overall it was still an enjoyable stay.

We had a great time here. The place is very accommodating for 4 people, but you should know that it looks much nicer on the photos then in real life. You can see some wear and tear in some places, but apart from that, everything is as advertised. The location is superb, the flat is very well equipped, it has a functioning AC in every bedroom, and the terrace is very nice, even though it is surrounded by big buildings it's still very pleasant to have breakfast there. I should also note that everyone from the agency is very responsive and helpful. Recommended!

The apartment is a great space for a larger group with the number of bedrooms and baths. The patio is a wonderful bonus! The building is a bit outdated, as others have noted, but the apartment is modern, tidy, and comfortable. The location was great, easy walk to many restaurants, the Gothic quarter, and only about 25 minutes to sagrada familia or the beach. Communication was SO easy! Much appreciated!

The location and apartment layout were great. . There was limited resources in the kitchen. We went shopping as soon as we arrived. The kitchen was small and had enough glasses, cups, silverware, and bowls for only 1 meal with 6 people present. The coffee maker was old. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioner in the Master bedroom leaked some water on the floor. There was not any shampoo/conditioner and the 2nd bathroom was tiny. There was minimal dresser space. The laundry room didn't have any detergent. We did love having air conditioning; since, it was hot and humid during our stay in Barcelona. Didn't use TV.

The apartment was roomy enough for two couples, although it is an older place. The garden terrace was the best part. We had breakfast there every morning. We were able to do some wash but had to hang dry our clothes. Checkin was easy. We were in contact with Anna who greeted us when we arrived. A taxi stand and bus station are just around the corner. A few minutes walk takes you to a number of restaurants amd supermarket.

This unit has the potential to be five star, but needs some care to meet that success. Overall the unit signals tired and worn. The host failed to deal with our greatest concern until the last minute. We knew a car is a liability in a big city, and we assiduously attempted to know our options prior to arrival. This did not happen. Ultimately our host was able to help us, but it was a last minute crisis that but a cloud over our experience. All in all we rate our experience as 3 of 5 stars.

We stayed here with our infant son, my sister and her husband. The place never felt crammed despite of it being 4 adults in the space. We often cooked at night during our 10 nights long stay- the kitchen was equipped with the basic essentials. Jaume was very responsive and helpful throughout the stay and in the time leading up to the stay. The place is centrally located with most cool stuff within a 20 minute walk and is super close the metro station. The terrace was so wonderful when enjoying a little coffee or snack with the family out in the sun. Our son loved running around and talking to the plants 😄 All in all, a great stay!

Jaume and team provide excellent customer service, especially as it relates to communication. The place is a solidly good Airbnb. There's a couple things that keep it from being excellent (in my opinion): one of the beds in the master bedroom is very squeaky. It's really not up to par with the price or what's advertised about the place. The mattress is comfy but every time you move the bed squeaks, which isn't great when there's two people. I would get a new bedframe. It would also be nice if there were 1 or 2 more blankets. The place was very clean overall however there were a couple minor issues, the aircon filters hadn't been cleaned in quite a while, even though there was quite a persistent flashing light indicating that they needed to be cleaned. The washing machine stopped working and was able to troubleshoot it down to a clogged washing machine filter. I looked like it had never been cleaned before so I cleaned it and the machine worked afterwards. Again not a huge deal but definitely not something I'd like to be doing during my vacation and also it is something that is avoidable. Last thing is my opinion and maybe it's a difference of culture or styles but the apartment, while nice, clean, and functional for our purposes... doesn't really have a warm vibe with its decor. Besides these things I mentioned, the place was great! Jaume and team provided excellent customer service and I would stay here again.

The unit was great! We'd highly recommend this booking. We especially liked the location, which was a very short walk to El Born and everywhere else we wanted to be. There was a lovely park nearby, and the people watching near the Arc de Triomf was great. The balcony was a nice touch, but unfortunately lacked privacy. Overall, though, a strong recommendation from us.

Great spot for groups traveling. Bedrooms are spaced away from each other (didnt even use the 3rd bedroom) so the privacy is great. Ac works great for summer time traveling. The garden patio is a real treat for quiet nights sipping wine. Loved it!

The apartment is very correct and very in price for three rooms and three bathrooms, it has everything you need and has a good terrace with a comfortable table for 6, air conditioning in all its rooms and washing dishes, comfortable and clean beds and amount of pillows and towels ( all impeccable white, which is appreciated ) the pegas : the living room is small and some areas of the floor would already require some attention

I can’t express how thankful I am to Jaume for being such a great host! I had a crazy air b n b situation and needed to get out and Jaume came to the rescue and fast! The place was right next to the arc de triumph, local grocery stores and tons of restaurants. Very close to a central bus station and such a prime location, I could walk to the boqueria in the morning on las ramblas for groceries and then the gothic quarter for dinner, so central!!! The apartment was beautiful and spacious, every room was stylish clean and had great energy. I was there with my family and toddler son and we have more than enough room especially that gorgeous garden! Perfect for having dinner or breakfast with your family and let your kids play and run around! The kitchen was well equipped and I loved the laundry room! It had everything mapped out around in the area and the apartment including instructions on appliances. Bathrooms were awesome and spacious, living room was comfy and it was the best air b n b experience I’ve ever had! I will definitely book another stay at this garden apartment, I just flew in last and miss it already, Jaume helped us feel so at home. I highly recommend especially for a family. Lovely apartment with a beautiful patio. Our check in and check out were very easy. The company also facilitated our rides to and from the airport. The shower hose was broken when we arrived and they came immediately to repair it, which was highly appreciated. The apartment was clean and in a great location. This is a perfect flat in an ideal location. It is central and walking distance (for us at least) to everything. If you’re not one for walking everywhere, then the metro is just around the corner. Check-in was super easy. Someone was waiting for us at the flat when we arrived, showed us around the space, and gave us suggestions for things to do and places to see. There were also some thoughtful touches (for instance, there was water in the fridge, some coffee, etc.). The flat itself was very clean, well furnished and had everything you could need. The terrace is quite large and has nice plants and a dining set. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee there every day. We will definitely book it again the next time are in Barcelona.

We booked more than a month in advance and received reminders and check ins about our visit periodically as the trip approached. Virginia was super accommodating about meeting up to provide the keys and we were provided us with all sorts of tips and suggestions of things to do in Barcelona. The apartment was in a great location and perfect for the group of us that stayed there.

We loved our stay. The apartment is well located in a "real" neighborhood but near more touristic spots. Very quiet, with comfortable beds. Fabulous terrace which we used every morning and afternoon. The rooms are modest in size but the terrace makes up for it. Jaume was responsive and available .

In general, the apartment is fine, the location is very central and a good area. But otherwise the house in the pictures looks more modern than it is. The apartment is something old in terms of the bedrooms. All the noises from the upstairs neighbors are heard, when resting at night above all you could hear furniture movements or something like that. As for the dining room there is little intimacy since the window overlooks the private terrace where all the neighbors of the estates in front see you. In the listing and characteristics of the apartment, it should be clear that the terrace, although it is private, you see all the neighbors in front and you do not have privacy. Otherwise, although its daily price is very high for what really is the apartment.

Jaume was extremely helpful, finding us the perfect apartment at the last minute, and responding very speedily to my questions. The apartment was really nice, in a great spot and saved the weekend! Great hospitality and we will definitely look to use his apartments when we return.

We enjoyed our stay here! Central location to lots of sights; we were able to walk most everywhere and easy to get a taxi for sights further away. The private terrace was a perfect place to enjoy some wine after a day on foot. Gemma met us promptly at the apt. upon check-in and gave us some great ideas of some must see places. We especially loved our visit to El National.

We felt very comfortable and can only recommend the apartment The communication was, despite last-minute booking, very easy, quick and pleasant - I was received directly friendly at the front door on arrival from the airport as agreed and provided with information about the apartment and the surrounding area. The apartment corresponds to the photos and is really very nice, value for money is great. We slept well in the beds. We only used the kitchen for coffee - the surrounding cafes and restaurants would also be too nice to miss them. Shopping is right around the corner The location was perfect for us, right on the not so extreme tourist side of the old town (5 min. Footpath) with good transport connections, 12 min. Walking distance to Placa Catalunya (15-20 to Sagrada Familia) For information: The terrace can only be used until 10 pm, as it sounds the entire backyard, after which rest is mandatory - which is common in densely built BCN.

The description of the apartment is correct EXCEPT FOR 3 PROBLEMS. 1- the WIFI despite the high coverage, IT DID NOT WORK 2- the AIR conditioning WAS NOT WORKING. I would "clean the filter." And I hadn't let us know. 3- And what we were ASHAMED OF was that the host decided to show up on Saturday morning, letting us know at 10 am. Despite our refusal, he told us in other words "what he was going to do" that he was going to enter with his keys so quiet. AMAZING. In addition to calling us at 2 o'clock on Sunday morning making sure the neighbors had complained when WE DIDN'T MAKE ANY NOISE.

Jaume was easy to communicate with both in advance and during our stay, both through the airbnb system and mail through a firm. She handled our questions quickly. The apartment is very close to the metro system and the old town is also accesable by foot, - good location. We were however dissapointed about the apartment. It is run-down and not as clean as we appreciate. Towels and sheets are clean.

We were well greeting by the host on our arrival. She was friendly and helpful and showed genuine care and interest in our stay. The apartment is place in a quiet part of Barcelona yet is within walking distance to all areas we were interested in. Very quiet area. The apartment itself is very good for a group with 3bedroom and 2 bathrooms and an outside sitting area for warm days. The internet is very good. The only the main double bed is quite average in quality and size and is very hard, and could do with an upgrade to make a really good comfortable stay. Overall a very good stay.

This is a great apartment in the city centre - just beside Bourne and the Gothic area. We could walk to most places we wanted to visit or meet people.

Wonderful, simple apartment for our family of 6. Conveniently located v close to Arch d Triomf Metro. Walking distance to Picasso, Barring Gotic and other nightlife & shopping areas yet away from the incessant noise of the very center of Barcelona. Loved this place and Jaume was a responsive & exceedingly helpful host.

Pros: A very spatious apartment well situatated nearby arc de triomf. Modern kitchen. Quiet. Plenty of towels, even a beachtowel for loan. Iron and ironboard. Air condition in every room (one of the AC was however broke). Jaume was easy to get a hold of, and very service mindes. Good price. Very well stocked kitchen. Cons: Late check-in for me, the apartment wasnt cleaned for check in, so i had to wait for the cleaners. In one of the showers there was broken tiles on the floor (so you need to be catious if they havent fixed it before your stay) and the showerhandle was a bit broken as well (though functional). Only two set of keys (could have been great if they had three set of keys, one for every room). Overall: 3 stars of 5

The apartment was in a good location and was very spacious for 6 people. The terrace is massive and is a lovely thing to have in Barcelona.
