Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting friends in Liverpool. Brilliant location especially if you go for a night out, despite being right in the centre of concert square, once the doors & windows are shut the apartment is quiet making for a good nights sleep. Tea, coffee & sugar provided but the tea is twinnings so if you’re a Yorkshire tea lover there is a big Tesco 2 minutes round the corner. No complaints.

Fantastic large cottage, quirky, well equipped and lots of space in beautiful surroundings. It is fully equipped for large families to have a great experience away. The house is brilliant, in a great location, very close Brecon, with plenty to do around. There were easy instructions and great general information on recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Thank you.

As a group of five couples we stayed at The Old Brewery for our annual walking holiday. The Old Brewery is ideally situated in Richmond which has a diverse range of shops and restaurants to cater for all needs. It is also handily placed for access to fantastic walks in Swaledale and Wensleydale. The Old Brewery itself is a well-appointed spacious house ideal for groups of 10-12 people. A main reason for choosing this property was that we wanted each couple to have their own shower/bathroom. We had a very enjoyable stay which was marred by problems with the plumbing. In late August a month before our stay I noticed a review which complained that two of the showers did not supply any hot water. I emailed Host & Stay, with whom I had booked, to ensure that the problem had been rectified. I was assured that the showers were now operating correctly so had no further concerns. However, when we arrived two of the showers were both running cold. In addition, on our arrival, we found water covering the floor of one of the en-suite shower rooms which was coming from a leaking toilet. I immediately phoned Host & Stay to report the problem and was told that they would arrange for a plumber to attend. Whether the plumber came or not I do not know, but at that end of our stay the toilet was still leaking. These problems did detract somewhat from an otherwise enjoyable stay. I have emailed Host & Stay for a response but after several days still have had no reply. Given my experiences I certainly will not be using Host & Stay again and cannot recommend them.

Saltburn was a really nice place to stay for the weekend good coffee shops & restaurant’s & amazing coastal walks. The accommodation was a let down & it would not take much to make it excellent it was very well equipped very clean. But the bed was very comfortable it was like sleeping on an ironing board & the blinds in the bedroom let in to much light from the street lighting. Also the damp walls in the bathroom left the whole place smelling awful. I see that these three problems have been highlighted by other people renting this accommodation. So it’s a shame that the owner does not address these problems. And this would be the only reason I would not rebook it in the future.

Nice, spacious house. Well equipped and excellent location. Driveway quite narrow, bushes could do with being trimmed back.

Arrived to find whole building surrounded by scaffolding!!!! Not made aware at time of booking so quite annoyed as stopped clear view out of mucky windows .. internet went off on second day so we left as was not happy sitting in a dark apartment … would not go there again .. complete mix up with host and stay overcharging us after I queried our payments (£125 ) which they reimbursed after couple days .. received endless text about various things etc etc .. as I say never again …

Apartment in Pickering is well located in the city centre so you can reach everything by foot. It is nicely decorated and we enjoyed our time. Be mindful that on street parking is restricted to 1h from 8am-6pm and there is a £10 admin charge for a damage deposit they take.

We had a nice stay just outside Bamburgh. The cottage was very clean and had good amenities. Some provisions were quite low (no sugar!) but generally it was a great stay. My only complaint (and this is just my opinion) was that the pillows weren’t very comfortable or soft. The communication from Host & Stay was pretty good. I would use them again

Great location for staying local to climb Snowdon. Lovely apartment for a family of four, good amenities, very clean. Good communication re arrival/departures. Great car park only a few minutes away, free parking included. Great pizza and Indian restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.

We've just had a very pleasant 3 night stay in The Gulls Nest, Whitby. The accommodation is in a great location for pottering around Whitby. The creaks and unevenness of the floors certainly added to the charm. The welcome biscuits were a nice touch. Previous reviews mentioned the lack of sockets in the twin room so we came prepared with an extention lead but found 2 sets of double sockets behind both bedheads. It's situated above a cafe and right next to a pub and to be fair neither were an issue regarding noise, the gulls in the mornings took up that mantle. The shower was more than adequate from a power point of view. I have to say the bits an peices , bed linen etc are of a very good standard. I awarded this place 4 stars rather than 5. This was for the fact there was nowhere to put any items in either bedroom nor the bathroom, under the sofa was pretty bad so I guess the cleaner doesn't move it. Lastly, and again we saw this in the pictures before we went so we were aware, the living space could do with one more comfy chair. The sofa had clearly seen better days! That said we all agree we would definately go back and would recommend to others also. I hope this comes across as it was intended, a balanced and honest review of a quiant little property in a lovely part of the world.
