Brilliant location just around the corner a 2 min walk from the main town centre, and yet not overlooked or looking out to a road. Check in and out very easy with clear instructions and a brilliant digital welcome pack. We followed several of the recommendations for places to eat and drink and were not disappointed!! The lodge was lovely and spacious, furnished really nicely and very comfortable to relax in on an evening - bed and sofa both very comfy. It also felt very secure, and was well lit when walking back in the dark as there are automatic lights going up the lane. All around this was an excellent place to stay and surpassed our expectations - we'd definitely book again!
Only thing that could have been better was that the radiators were quite noisy and creaky which ended up waking us up a bit during the night.

The quality of the accomdat6was excellent. Fully equipped and very comfortable. The bed was great, 3nights of great sleep.
The location was within short walking distance from all amenities.
On arrival had issues with the main door but contacted company and issue was resolved.
The electrical heating system was very clanky when heating up and cooling down.

This is a very nice, well presented, and beautifully appointed cabin. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Alnwick is a great town full of interesting things to do. We enjoyed our meals out but also ate in the cabin with everything working really well. It's a very user-friendly, comfortable space with ample parking not too far away, but not directly on the doorstep.
We really enjoyed our time here and would be more than happy to recommend this to any future guests.
Thank-you to our hosts.
We really appreciate you letting us stay.

A quiet location. The lodge was new and the facilities were good. Most importantly a good comfortable bed.
Not able to park outside. Entrance to the lodge was through an entrance hall in older part of property. This was not very well kept. Needed sweeping out and also junk mail left in hall as well as the ordinary post. When we arrived there was some work being done on the garden. Bark had been laid in the front part of the garden but on the side of the property which was still part of the garden there were some unsightly weeds. Bark was a feature of both of the lodges gardens and this had been taken over to the outside path by various means and this again was unsightly and indeed could have been unsafe on particularly the steps.

Pleasant modern detached place to stay, great base to explore Alnwick for a couple of nights. Arrival tip: the cabin is at the back, through the main building, then up some steps in the back garden. We arrived in the evening so it was easy to pull up on the road and unload into the main hallway, before one of us then went off to park the car. Great shower. The entire complex seems to have a bit of a 'drains-smell' issue at the moment (you could also smell it as you went through the main building passageway), but we kept the bathroom door closed and this was fine.

The location was ideal, centrally placed in Alnwick. The property was modern and well equipped. We always had hot water and the shower was powerful. The kitchen was well appointed. We were able to have a good holiday. I have already fed back the problems encountered to the owners and communication was very prompt. They have assured me the items below will be addressed quickly.
The entrance to the property is through a building with the lodge being in the ‘garden behind. The building looks uninviting from the outside. As you walk out there is a loose paving stone on a step which is a trip hazard especially when carrying stuff. The first sight of the lodge is through a sea of very tall weeds. This was made worse by the weedproof membrane having lifted, the outside was unkempt. This is an eye sore as it was the view from all windows.
There were 8 place settings of crockery in a chalet for two which meant there was little space for the food shopping brought. The oven grill pan had to be washed before use.

Nice place to stay however was hard to find. Good location with restaurants and bars close by. Would be happy to stay here again however the garden could do with tidying up as wouldn’t want to sit in it. Would recommend but could do with small improvements.

The location was great. In the centre close to amenities but at the same time very quiet. You could hear the birds in the morning.
The place wasn't clean properly. There were cobwebs in every room. The bathroom was dirty. There was a lot of dust everywhere. The kitchen cabinets weren't cleaned. The bedding was stained and with holes. All windows dirty inside and outside. After checking in, we called the agent to get the property cleaned again despite the reassurance that they would make it right, nothing really happened. Also, do not trust the photos on the site they must have been taken when the property was new. Now you have black mould in the shower, dirty walls, run-down garden full of weeds, and the whole place has not been looked after.

The cabin was very nicely decorated. Fully stocked kitchen, comfy lounge area and spacious bedroom (comfy bed). The shower was really excellent. Loads of hot water and a powerful jet. Outside was a little overgrown, but after we mentioned this on the chat they immediately (same day) cut back the ivy that had obviously grown a bit vigorously in this warm weather. So response time was excellent. Overall we had a a really lovely stay, and thought the cabin was good value considering its central location. Alnwick is a really cool little town with loads of places to eat and drink. If you like your real ale, don’t miss Harry’s Bar and the Tanners Arms, both cracking places for a pint. The Thai restaurant Leo’s is great too.

Great location in the centre of Alnwick. Central for getting around Northumberland.
I agree with previous guests. When booking it is implied that there is parking onsite. There isn’t. There is a free 24 hour car park a short walk away but it gets busy. We could only park there two out of five days. We did find free street parking but it was a fair walk away. Also the bed is a very small double. There wasn’t room for us to lie side by side unless our arms were hanging out of the bed. I nearly fell out when I rolled over. Otherwise it is lovely accommodation and well equipped and comfortable. Free WiFi is a welcome bonus.

The apartment itself was nice and clean and comfortable for a 2-night stay. Location was close to attractions, pubs, restaurants, etc. Staff were proactive and provided good information regarding access.
Although the apartment was on a single ground level, access was a bit tricky involving some steps and a loose gravel/stone path. Proved a bit difficult in the rain with large, heavy suitcases and would not suit those with limited mobility. Whilst the apartment was quite nice and fairly comfortable, it was quite basic and quite expensive for what you got. The additional damage waiver costs were off-putting and the quality and amount of some of the basic inclusions such as towels, loo-paper, tea, coffee, soaps, etc felt quite stingy compared with other places we had recently stayed.

Central location, kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, quiet, calm and relaxing setting.
Some more toiletries for the bathroom would have been welcome (1 roll of toilet paper and 1 sachet of shower gel provided for 2 people for 6 nights). It got quite hot in the lodge in the day time with the large windows, we stayed in May, i suppose it could be even hotter in Summer.

It was in a perfect location for what we were doing. It was beautifully decorated and well equipped, though we didn’t cook much .
The parking wasn’t ideal. No parking on site and a 24 hour park 5 mins walk but had to keep moving it because you couldn’t stay there after 24 hours. The WiFi didn’t work on my phone, I did try putting code given on it. Also kept losing signal on TV.

Lovely quiet location right in the heart of Alnwick. The lodge had everything we needed and was well presented. We had a great stay. Would definitely here stay again.
Whilst we were able to find street parking, a parking permit would have been handy to park a little closer to the lodge.
The lodge was generally clean, except for lots of cobwebs in the bedroom, dirty windows and some utensils had been put back in the cupboards without being washed first

Well situated for all local attractions, private and quiet. It was lovely for a relaxing break.
Some attention to detail is required with cleaning some cob webs and dusty areas, bathroom towel rail doesn’t work so the bathroom was cold and the towels damp, only one of the solar lights on the path to the chalet worked and the is a loose paving slab on the steps leading up to the accommodation. There is also a lot of crockery and glassware leaving little room to store groceries 16 cups for two people is a bit much.

Quiet location
Definitely would return. Location was perfect for the town and amenities.
The walk up to the lodge had a fence covered in ivy which could have done with being cut back as the path is quite narrow. The lighting could be improved too.
We would have preferred a king size bed which would easily have fit in the bedroom

Well equipped and stylish decor right next to the castle. It was within walking distance to some nice restaurants too
The bed is a double with a queen sized duvet. We are both fairly slim and struggled to share and had to use the blankets. We also found the electric radiators in the property come on at random points in the night, making a very loud noise when the metal expanded waking us up. Although mostly clean and tidy on arrival there was also quite a few cobwebs in the bedroom and dust around picture frames etc.

Well kitted out, comfortable and very close to the centre of Alnwick. Couldn't be more convenient.
Parking is on the street a distance away - no problem for us in the winter months, but could be a nightmare in the summer. Closest parking has a 4 hour limit. Next free spaces were max 24 hours.
Take a torch if going in the winter! Solar-powered sensor lights don't light up the steps on the approach to the lodge. There's a torch in the hall but that's no help when you first arrive..
Hilariously, the keybox had frozen when we arrived, so we had to practice our heavy breathing to dial in the code.
The WiFi never worked for us. But that's a very first-world problem and we coped.

Being in centre of Alnwick, near castle. Good (but slow) response from owners when we had problem.
The most uncomfortable house I have ever stayed in. Bar stools were provided, which were tiny seats on a stem, which I found impossible to get onto. The other seating consisted of a small plastic rocking chair, a sagbag and a settee with broken springs. After 4 days, I ended up with a very painful back problem.
Bed very small

The location was perfect, in walking distance from places to eat and shops, also it was not far to drive to see places. There were some lovely walks along the different beaches.
There wasn't anything to dislike, I would recommend staying at this place. The only thing would be the car parking, there is one not that far away that you can park for free just hope it's not full when you get back from a day out, because it gets busy.

We were very impressed with this property. It was very stylish, well equipped, extremely comfortable. The whole place was immaculate and finished to a very high standard! Some nice touches like DVDs available to watch and books to lend (although we didn’t use the latter). Absolutely brilliant location- central to everything but quiet and secluded.
If I had to be picky I’d say that the salt cellar was empty (we left some salt for the next occupants). Seriously that’s literally the only negative I could think of!! What can I say - the property was wonderful!

The directions- once we found it things were very clear but initially I was looking for a lodge opposite the castle but in fact it’s in the garden of a terraced building and is hidden. It’s great and exactly the address but not what I was looking for. Like I said the lodge is gorgeous and being hidden was very private so absolutely no complaints but perhaps a photo of the door would help?

The lodge was very well-equipped and the fitting were great quality. The location was brilliant and great for exploring Northumberland.

The property is very well equipped and stylish. In particular the kitchen and kitchen equipment were of a very high standard and provide everything you need should you decide to cook in rather than going out. There is plenty of room for two people and we both slept very well in the comfortable bed. The location In Alnwick, next door to the castle, was fantastic.

Very central location. The lodge was well designed, with good decor. The place was warm and light.
The access to the property was really difficult. I was told that there were a few steps. There were 12 to the outside lodge at various levels and the ground covered with slate shale. It was poorly lit too.
As I had mobility problems, there was little places to sit comfortably. The dining arrangements were accessed via bar stools I couldn't get on. In the lounge much of the furniture was low level. The outside seating area was the same.

it was beautifully decorated and the location was excellent.
I called as soon as we arrived to ask if there was a fan as the heat in the property was unbearable. I was told ‘it does get a little bit hot’ but that the blinds had been left down and windows open before arrival (they were not). No offer to provide a fan. For the next three days, it was a mission to cool the lodge down after being out for the day. Sleeping was uncomfortable. For the cost, the owners didn’t seem that fussed about guest comfort. It’s a shame because it is such a beautifully done up place.

Everything was perfect from location right beside Alnwick Castle, shops and short walk to the gardens. It was so private as set to rear of main property and so peaceful, a beautiful sun trap too. The accommodation had everything you could need for a carefree stay and the furnishings were excellent quality and amazing design.
My partner is blind and the layout of the lodges was perfect for him to negotiate independently and safely. Although there are a few steps to negotiate to get to the lodges there were handrails provided in the garden area to assist him.
There is nothing to dislike about this property just st perfect

Brilliant place to stay. One of the most comfortable, well equipped, clean places we have ever stayed. Everything we needed was there, as a person who likes to cook I was thrilled with the kitchen. So often you go to holiday lets and the knives are blunt and the pans sparse, but the equipment here was better than mine at home! If we’d stayed longer we would have had a go with the omelette and toastie makers.
Nothing for normal circumstances, it was fab!
In case of another heatwave it might be worth having the windows open or blinds closed before arrival or maybe a fan as the lodge did get very hot, but it isn’t often 27 degrees in Alnwick!

We couldn't have stayed anywhere in Alnwick better !!it was self catering and every thing was there ,so carefully thought out and a total pleasure to stay in such comfort and designer decor,we didn't want to leave, and to top it all it was only steps away from Alnwick Castle ,all the bars and restaurants were in a few minutes walking distance...we enjoyed the accommodation that much that we decided to stay home and cook there in the most evenings, although we did sample a couple of the local restaurants..everything was totally quality at number 35!! Even down to the cutlery.so quite and peaceful too...cant wait to visit again 😊 unfortunately i cant add any photos because i only took videos which it wont let me add😑

Nice new lodge built at the back of an old Inn which is being converted into holiday apartments. Access ok to lodge. Good location to town centre.
Met the hosts on day of departure, nice pleasant couple. We were shown around a couple of the new apartments under development, these look like they are going to be winners for them and people who stay there.
We would have no problem staying there again.

Lovely space, decorated in a really cosy and comfortable way.
The property has an immersion heater for water which I’ve never come across before and with (seemingly) no instructions on how to switch it on we were forced to have freezing cold showers. Definitely needs clear information about this because it really tarnished what was an otherwise nice stay.

Superbly appointed lodge in the centre of Alnwick. Stylishly decorated, exceedingly comfortable and exceptionally equipped. Perfectly for a couple for a short or even a longer stay. I would highly recommend this property.
There is nothing to criticise except that the lodge is in an enclosed area so there is no view of the town or countryside.
