A great stay in the heart of Alnwick! the location is easy to find with free parking near the castle a short walk away. The facilities were great, and the place itself was a cosy home to escape from the rain. It's a 3 to 15 minutes walk to anywhere you might need to go in Alnwick, which itself is a beautiful place and well worth a visit. great shops, restaurants, and if course, castles! We'd definitely stay again in the future. Thanks a lot!

Great location to explore Alnwick and surrounding area. We easily found parking and the outside space has been tidied up (referenced in earlier reviews) and was secure for our dog. Only gripe is the bed (also mentioned in earlier reviews). It felt like a small double and the room could easily take a bigger bed which would add to the comfort of the place. Great natural light into the property & everything you would need for a few nights away.

Lovely lodge. The interior was exactly like the pictures and were of a really high standard. The location was excellent and check-in was very easy. Like other reviews the only thing letting this down was the outdoor space which just needs tidying up.

A really lovely stay right in the heart on Alnwick. I don’t think it’s clear from the listing that this property is a cabin at the rear of a property which contains multiple apartments, but please don’t let that put you off. The house is grey and easily identified. Accessing the property was very straightforward following the instructions provided. We parked in pottergate long stay car park which is free for 24 hours, no return within 4. So great if you’re going to other areas. The garden is a little untidy but secure for our dogs, a maintenance man did come during our stay and stated the gardens were being attended to so hopefully that will be rectified soon. The property was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and ideal for exploring Alnwick and surrounding areas. A stones throw from the castle and beautiful walks. Dog friendly pub right across the road.

Fantastic location & such an idyllic space. Had trouble finding parking at first, I parked around the corner from the location to unload our bags (4 hours free) then moved to Pottergate car park (free for 24 hours) less than 5 min walk. The keysafe on arrival didn’t work, called host&stay who suggested the code I had but in reverse which worked! A short walk out to the rear of the entryway and up 3 steps then 2 more it’s a few feet up the side of the church wall to the lodge. After this, everything was easy and relaxing in this gorgeous area. The wifi didn’t work for us & our networks were weak in this location but I didn’t book this getaway to be on my phone so didn’t mind. There’s every kitchen appliance you could possibly need, so many dvds to enjoy and the best shower after a long day of walking around the sights. It’s peaceful, spacious and a sun trap first thing in the morning for a coffee outside. I’d recommend staying here and would return :)

Great location, clean and quiet. Helpful parking instructions. The kitchen was really well stocked and the bathroom had lovely products. The WiFi wouldn’t work for us though this was not a big issue as we were out most of the time.

Would be lovely if the garden bit was tidy for chiling outside. But other than that a lovely place!! And the decor was fab! Love the amount of throws and cushions.

Very centrally located, the lodge was clean with a modern interior. Slightly let down by the overgrown outdoor space but overall an enjoyable stay with all the historical sights within easy walking distance.

We have spent 6 nights in the Ocean Blue lodge. Dare to say that this was the best ever located place we have ever rented. The castle is literally around the corner. Pubs, restaurants within 10 mins walking distance.. or less. The town is charming, it is a lot to see... the shops are also very close, and still, the accommodation is very secluded, and in a quiet area. The lodge was clean, and tidy inside. The kitchen is well equipped, bathroom also very clean. However..the bed. It was very small, if there is an extra small double size exists, then it was that. (there is plenty of space for a bigger bed in that room). Outdoor sitting area. It was a disgrace... full of weed, neglected. Big glass windows were dirty from the outside. The sun heats up the building during the day, it could be very hot inside. No problem with parking, we always found space very close to the lodge. All in all we have had a great time there, and definitely would go back (if they replace the bed ;))

Perfectly situated - Alnwick Castle is literally around the corner! The lodge was clean, well furnished and calm. Would be nice also for a longer stay. The only thing you should be aware of: This is a professional owner, you have to pay extra for damage insurance. Also, you get a lot of messages.

Excellent location, very near Alnwick Castle. Right in the centre of the town yet very quiet. Cabin was just as expected with everything one could need. Decor was very contemporary and delightful. Parking was easy a short distance away by the Castle as advised. Overall we had a lovely holiday.

The accommodation was just right for us as a couple. Easy to find and centrally located. Parking was flagged up before we booked as possibly a problem but we didn't find this an issue. The layout was great and being at the end of the access way meant it was very quiet. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs in Alnwick, so being centrally located made access really easy. We had a great time.

The positives - The apartment is lovely and well equipped. It is in a fantastic spot walkable to everything! The negatives when it rained the guttering drainpipe was so loud it drowned out the TV. When the radiators were cooling down they made constant intermittent loud bangs which in the middle of the night disturbed sleep. On the day of checkout the cleaners arrived at 9:20 and were just about to let themselves in until I stopped them and asked then to come back. They signed and then sat outside until we left which was incredibly off putting. This was also disappointing as we were already losing an hour of our stay due to the clocks changing.
