The space
Majestic Purple has a stylish living area with a flat screen TV, comfy sofa and an armchair making it the ideal place to unwind with your loved ones. Varnished wooden flooring and a statement purple feature wall make this a really cosy place to relax.The apartment has a spacious kitchen diner which is situated towards the rear of the living space. Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has modern appliances and cookware. The dining area includes a dining table with four chairs.
Outside there is a generously sized yard area with outdoor furniture so you can enjoy your meals alfresco style too.
Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed, and the second room is a double.
The family bathroom has a spacious freestanding bath with handheld shower, separate walk-in shower, WC and basin.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to Majestic Purple are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.Free on-street parking is available nearby on a first come, first served basis. No permit is required.
If a travel cot is required for your stay at Majestic Purple this must be requested prior to check in.

Didn't know what to expect after reading some of the feedback. We were however extremely happy with our stay and will be back. The property was exactly as shown in the photos - a cute little apartment in a renovated ex pub. It's position in Alnwick is amazing! The front looks out directly onto the castle walls. The town centre is a stones throw away. There is no parking directly outside (description does tell you this) but as my teenage daughter said after I had described the 2 minute walk to get to the car, 'it's more like 30 seconds Mum'. Parking was easy on the hill from the castle entrance. The only downside (more our fault than a real issue) was, once we were in the communal corridor on first arrival, we tried (as did others staying in the complex) to get into the 'maintenance' key box to get the front door key to the property. When in fact, the key box we needed we situated at the front door to Majestic Purple. This could be mentioned in the on arrival notes.

Run by a dreadful letting agency - avoid! Property is fine and location is good (be prepared to park a fair distance away though) Property is run by an agency, once you are committed they force you to either pay them an insurance fee or lodge a £250 bond which they will then keep some of as an ‘admin fee’ to return to you if there is no damage caused! Also provide their own conditions post booking which they later use to ignore any issues or inaccurate listings. In our case the Wi-Fi didn’t work for the entire stay. We contacted the host promptly and often requesting support but just got a suggestion to turn it off and on again. When that didn’t work they quoted the conditions stating they didn’t guarantee uninterrupted Wi-Fi! Made a complaint via Airbnb afterwards which the host completely ignored. These people shouldn’t be listing on Airbnb, they have no interest in the host/guest ethos of the site and if anything goes wrong during your stay you will regret booking with them.
