Lovely comfortable apartment with everything you could possibly need.

The only downside was the parking, we struggled to get anywhere near but we unloaded the car on the front then parked in the next street. This wouldn’t stop me rebooking though

Lovely apartment in a great location.

Check in was at 4PM, I politely enquired if there was any possibility of us checking in at 3pm? This request was declined which is what I expected and fair enough. However, the night before I received a message that the property would be available earlier in the day (obviously no one in the night before) but there would be a £30.00 extra charge!!!!!
I was only asking to check in an hour before.....how nice would it have been for them to come back and say " yes, the property in now available to check in at 3pm"

The accommodation was lovely and in a great location for all the things Whitby has to offer. Felt really comfortable at the property and everything we needed was provided. Free, on-street parking was available across the road. A beautiful park right on your doorstep (dogs not allowed). A five minute walk to the edge of the town centre. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again if we go back to Whitby.

-Some big stains on carpet and sofas. Which need deep clean.
-Some covers in lounge and kitchen seen better days and need replacement.

Cleanliness and close proximity to the town. Less than 10 mins away.

The matteress in one of the rooms has an uncomfortable ridge in the middle. The large lamp in main living area needs repairing or replacing.

Clean , comfortable. All equipment needed was available. All furniture of a very high spec. Beds very comfortable. Lots of channels on the tv- even one of those annoying echo machines! Very powerful shower.
Keys in a lock box- easy to access.

Good location looking out onto the park and just a few minutes walk from the harbour and town centre.

Parking is extremely hit and miss and for the amount charged should include something better than street parking. Carpets and chairs were stained which made the place look a bit shabby. The carpets in particular need a good clean.Kitchen was woefully under equipped, very poor cookware, utensils, glassware etc. Two single beds pushed together did not make for a comfortable sleep. We could clearly hear the people upstairs who were not very considerate in the early morning. Did not appreciate being forced to pay a non refundable £30 security deposit as an alternative to £300 being held for 14 days. Did not think it was great value for money and really don't know why check in is only at 4pm when guests are rushed to get out by 10am on checkout. Would not have booked this apartment had we realised that dogs were allowed.

It was in a great location. Quick walk into town and beach and across the road from a lovely park. Free on street parking if you can get a space.

Wasn’t the cleanest. Quite a few cobwebs and dust webs hanging from ceilings and on walls and a fare few spiders. A cupboard door had been left by a previous guest with a note from July, not the safest with a toddler. And some mould/ dirt on skirting boards in bedroom. Called to see if it was possible for someone to come and do a proper clean and to say we wasn’t happy to which we was told we’d get a call back, this happened 3 times with no call back, to which I called the following day to say not to bother as I’d cleaned what I can myself.

Fab location, free parking on the road opposite the apartment. Apartment clean and spacious.
Hosts were very helpful and sent all the information needed.

The only downfalls to the apartment are the beds weren’t the comfiest. I spent 2 nights on the sofa which isn’t good when going away for a break. I came home more tired than when I went. Took a while to figure out how to use the electric stove (no instructions) and only 1 toilet roll was left for a family of 4 on a 2 night stay.

The location. We had stayed here before and it had previously been very good

Filthy floors and carpets. Not been cleaned properly anywhere. Bathroom dirty and mouldy and hairs in shower and sink. Toothpaste on taps and a mouldy fake plant on window sill
Stains on sofas and cushions
Oven not been cleaned.
Utensils and pots and pans have seen better days and I felt the need to wash them before we used them
Dirty and Dusty blinds, paintwork. Rusty and marked lamp and side table.
I was even treated to an old pair of tights in one of the drawers!
Whole place needs a deep clean and decorating and some fixtures and fittings replacing.
We called Host and Stay who arranged a cleaner for the following day but she did her best with the obvious things in the time she had but she was fighting a losing battle.
Ironing facilities advertised. Iron but no board and yes we checked with Host and Stay who said no board provided.
Freezer section was so blocked with ice the fridge door wouldn’t close properly.
And the insult is that you have to be out by 10am and can’t check in until 4pm to allow time for cleaning!!! It’s a joke. Seems Covid is a distant memory.
Premium prices for a supposed premium property but clearly a cash cow as no one takes any pride in this property

We know Whitby very, very well, & the location is ideal, but not if you have mobility issues as it's up a big hill. Easy to get a taxi though.
The place was clean & comfortable, but the carpet looks like it's had a fair amount of stains scrubbed out, not entirely successfully. Beds were comfortable & the bathroom fine.

We had an issue with the key to the front communal door, it snapped & half of it stuck in the lock. Reporting it & trying to find a solution was a pain. We were advised to use the rear entrance, but the metal steps leading out/in were too difficult for my elderly mum, & then the distance to our vehicle was too far. The next day we were told the lock had been dealt with the evening before, but no one communicated this with us or gave us a new key. It took me ringing the help number to even find this out. It was added stress that I didn't want as we were away to scatter the ashes of a loved one. Surely, there should be a local contact, not just a random call centre in another country.
One of the bedrooms was a great size, the other somewhat small.

We had a fantastic stay in this apartment. It was perfect for our needs and only a short, but enjoyable walk in to the quayside at Whitby. The kids loved the play park across the road and overall it was a lovely relaxing experience. Thank you.

The only thing that spoilt our stay was the mattress in one of the bedrooms wasn’t fit for purpose, it needs replacing, absolutely no support, hence a poor nights sleep.

The location is great for town and less than ten minutes away.

There's mold on the flowers in the bathroom. Even though they're fake, they need a wipe or get some new ones.
The mattress in the left bedroom could do with being a proper double, currently two singles. There's an uncomfortable ridge in the middle of the bed.

We chose this property as we have two small young dogs, with the park being just across the road, thought it was an excellent choice. Sadly, we found that dogs are not allowed to be walked there. We would probably have chosen somewhere else.

The place itself was accurately described and in a good location.
The lower rating is due to two things:
1. There is a “safety” deposit requirement. Your options are either a £250 deposit that will be returned upon checkout if no damage is found (though a £10 fee is not returned) or a £25 deposit that is not returned. I have not had this with Air BNB before and did not appreciate that this was not included in the cost when I was choosing accommodation. Air BNB has ratings on customers to avoid this.
2. They are super stingy on consumables. Upon arrival we found no hand soap (bathroom or kitchen), dish liquid, or dishwasher tablets. We planned to eat in so this was a problem. When I contacted the host, they did bring the items the next day but when I asked for more toilet paper as well (there was only the single in use roll) I was told the policy was 1 roll per bathroom even if more than 1 person and more than 1 night. Just ridiculous.

The apartment was easy to find and we managed to find parking right outside. Lovely calm feeling when you get inside, well equipped and small patio was a bonus. Didn't need to move the car during stay - could walk to all of Whitby's main attractions.

Entry instructions need updating - had to ring for help. One of the sofas has a large stain. I'd seen this mentioned in someone's review and thought it would have been dealt with.

Even though it is near a main road the noise was never an issue. Would stay again.

The cooker hob needs cleaning properly as does the shower head, both would benefit from some proper cleaning fluids.
Alao there was a large stain on one of the sofas but we reported this and it should be being dealt with

The instructions to get into the Apartment were not correct. Typed in code, door didn't open. Rang for advice and was told to use the fob. No mention of a fob on the guide I was sent. Repetitive emails about the same thing. The cleaning in between the tiles of the shower was poor.

Kitchen lacked one or two basics for a longer stay. Parking nearby could be difficult. Park across the road didn't allow dogs.

The communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. We had a problem with the key safe - we struggled to open it - a quick call to the number provided and we quickly sorted the problem. The accommodation itself was lovely and light, very clean and well equipped for a short stay. We really couldn't find any fault at all. Little extras like washing up liquid, shower gel etc were all provided. We particularly liked the convenience of a 12pm checkout, it meant that we were all recovered from the night before after attending a wedding at nearby Sneaton Castle.

no bulb in living room light… let them know. nothing was done. damp in bathroom, rusty bin in bathroom that hadnt been emptied on our arrival & rusty dirty toilet brush.

Excellent location made it easy exploring local area. We phones to ask about parking and they said to the front or to the side but sign said for residents only at side? We parked up the road in the end as unsure-moght need to make a little clearer maybe with photo to clarify areas? Some sheets had some marks on and couple of home but we're lovely and clean and fresh so happy with that. Really enjoyed our stay at the flat, thank you from us all!

Insane designer shower control. Unable to operate if hands wet and soapy. Instructions to enter key code into smart lock inaccurate, you need to use the key fob. Wasted 45 minutes trying to open the door.

the flat was a lovely lay out and positioning for Whitby was perfect .

the outside space was very compromised by the double bed in that room it had large sticking out base and both of us have bruises from every time we tried to pass it , needs to be the other way or bunk beds just not enough room with the outside door being through that room .

The apartment was clean and comfortable and reasonably equipped for our extended weekend stay. Located close to the town and facilities just a short walk away. The beds were comfortable and the shower room spacious.

Needed a slotted spoon. The bedrooms are quite small with little room for maneuvering without cracking ones shins on the bed corners.

Lovely property with easy access and free parking on the main road. It was situated less than 10 minutes easy stroll to Whitby centre and all its attractions and beaches. The apartment was modern, comfortable and very clean. I would definitely choose this accommodation again.

Loved the location, the apartment was clean & modern with all mod cons, especially great as we could bring our cockapoo with us & it didn’t feel like a “doggy” type place. Convenience of the key box was great, customer service was great & booked with ease.

The bed maybe could be moved in the 2nd bedroom as it was a squeeze getting in & out of the back door with the dog! Other than that, nothing!

The apartment was spotlessly clean and had all of the amenities anyone would require - i took dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid, kitchen roll, toilet roll etc but didn’t need any of it as there was plenty of it all there. The apartment is in a very nice area of Whitby next to lovely park and the communication was excellent.
